The COVID-19 mask—purportedly worn to protect the masses from the pandemic—has been hijacked as the Democrat Party’s best chance for election victory.
Rather than sending the message ‘I am no threat to your health’, wearing the mask now openly advertises the mantra: “Vote Democrat!”
In their own words in the Stop-Republican’s latest message in their joint venture with the Progressive Turnout Project ( the ones selling the masks for $20 a throw):
“Listen, it’s more important than ever to stay safe and wear a mask in public.
“And now, you can show the WORLD how much Voting Matters with this amazing face mask!
“You’re one of a handful of Democrats that were notified about our [99] remaining face masks!
“These masks are selling out faster than we ever expected—we predict they’ll be COMPLETELY gone by the end of the day.
“All proceeds will go directly towards getting Democrats out to vote. Buy to beat Trump!
“Like all of our merchandise, 100% of the proceeds will go directly towards getting Democrats out to vote in this year’s critical elections.”
Note the difference: Republicans activated 19,000 volunteers, the Democrats looking to hire 1,100
With the mainstream and social media scaremongering that Coronavirus Two is on the way, The Progressive Turnout Project is mounting a door-to-door campaign beginning this weekend:
“The Progressive Turnout Project is launching a $52.5 million, 17-state field program this weekend with plans to hire 1,100 staffers nationwide and knock on 10 million doors by Election Day, according to details shared first with The Associated Press. (Washington Post, June 25, 206)
“It will be the first major in-person canvassing effort launched nationwide that’s aimed at electing Democrats since the pandemic began, as Joe Biden’s presidential campaign has yet to resume in-person campaigning, citing safety concerns.”
“But Republicans have already been out knocking on doors since the weekend of June 12, when Trump Victory, the joint operation between Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee, relaunched its in-person field operation. That weekend, according to RNC national press secretary Mandi Merritt, Trump Victory activated 19,000 volunteers to make phone calls and knock on 266,000 doors nationwide.”
Note the difference: Republicans activated 19,000 volunteers, the Democrats looking to hire 1,100.
“The GOP has left safety up to its volunteers. State party leaders say that while it’s recommended for volunteers to wear a mask, the decision about whether to do so, or broadly what safety precautions to take when canvassing, is left up to the individual. (WaPo)
“The Progressive Turnout Project consulted with public health experts to provide guidelines: Their canvassers wear masks and stand at least 6 feet (1.8 metres) from voters, and they hand out individual packets that include a commit to vote card, a pen and a packet of hand sanitizer, all sealed in a plastic envelope. They’re advised to use hand sanitizer between interactions and to wash their hands as much as possible — but never to enter a voter’s home.
Notice how “a commit to vote card” leads the ‘safety’ items list?
Notice how “a commit to vote card” leads the ‘safety’ items list?
Safest first for the Dems means securing the vote comes first.
“This weekend, their teams will fan out across seven states for a broader launch: Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Wisconsin.” (WaPo)
Wish this latest Dem move could be filed under JBM (Joe Biden Malarkey), but it’s much worse because it’s spreading faster than the pandemic.
The wearing of masks is no longer the social status for Coronavirus, but the social status for ‘Voting Democrat!’
Meanwhile we now know that the wearing of the mask in the Time of the Coronavirus was never about your health—but only about your vote.
Walking Advertisement for the Democrats
While you’re breathing in your own C02 when wearing a mask, you’re a Walking Advertisement for the Democrats.
Worst of all, COVID-19 was never really about a runaway pandemic—but all about using it as a cover to get rid of President Donald Trump on November 3rd.
Burning two-pronged question: Is that why mainstream and social media let Joe Biden away with the Big Lie that the virus left 120 million dead?
Is that why one time ‘Fair and Balanced’ Fox News ran the story as Number 7 under the misleading headline: ‘Ex-VP greeted by Trump fans, makes gaffe during Campaign Stop?’
Only Fake News would present a lie as a gaffe seeming not to realize the masses know that a gaffe is a gaffe, but a lie is a LIE.
AG Bill Barr previously highlighted the DOJ effort to coordinate with the National Parks Service to identify perpetrators who were attempting to destroy national monuments on federal property. Accordingly, the DOJ has been searching for several suspects identified in video coordinating their attacks. Today the DOJ announced first four suspects to be charged. One is currently under arrest, the other three are on the run:
WASHINGTON – Lee Michael Cantrell, 47, of Virginia; Connor Matthew Judd, 20, of Washington, D.C.; Ryan Lane, 37, of Maryland; and Graham Lloyd, 37, of Maine, were charged by criminal complaint yesterday with destruction of federal property, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Michael R. Sherwin, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Washington Field Office’s Criminal Division James A. Dawson, and Acting Chief of the United States Park Police (USPP) Gregory T. Monahan.
The complaint, unsealed today, alleges that on June 22, 2020, the four men along with other unidentified individuals, damaged and attempted to tear down the statue depicting Andrew Jackson located in Lafayette Square. The complaint further alleges that Cantrell was captured on video attempting to pry the statue off its base with a wooden board and trying to pull the statue down with the aid of a yellow strap.
The complaint alleges that Judd is seen on video trying to pull down the statue, and that Lane is seen on video affixing a rope to one part of the statue and then pulling on another rope tied to the statue.
The complaint also alleges that video of the incident shows Lloyd as he breaks off and destroys the wheels of cannons located at the base of the statue. Lloyd is also captured on video pulling on ropes in an effort to topple the statue, and handing a hammer to an unidentified individual involved in the incident.
Judd was arrested on Friday and appeared in Superior Court of the District of Columbia today. The matter will be transferred to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia on Monday, June 29, 2020, where Judd will make his initial appearance before United States Magistrate Judge Robin M. Meriweather.
The remaining defendants have not yet been apprehended. (read more)
The Washington Post attempted to debunk President Trump for saying “the most dangerous cities are run by democrats.” After an extensive effort, and a voluminous article reviewing all manner of methodology for citation, this is what they came up with:
A republican mayor was elected to Jacksonville in the last election; therefore the Washington Post has declared that President Trump’s claim: “the most dangerous cities are run by democrats”, is false. There is a top-crime city now run by a republican.
This level of FAIL is so ridiculous, it presents itself almost as if the Washington Post intentionally trying to beclown themselves.
An interesting outcome and juxtaposition amid the new policing approach advanced by the Minneapolis City Council. After voting to remove police from the community, the same city council now approve hiring private security for themselves at a current rate of $4,500 per day. The taxpayers, who pay their salaries, are left to fend for themselves, but the city council members won’t be left without. Funny how that happens.
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – The City of Minneapolis is spending $4,500 a day for private security for three council members who have received threats following the police killing of George Floyd, FOX 9 has learned.
A city spokesperson said the private security details have cost the city $63,000 over the past three weeks.
The three council members who have the security detail – Andrea Jenkins (Ward 8), and Phillipe Cunningham (Ward 4), and Alondra Cano (Ward 9)– have been outspoken proponents of defunding the Minneapolis Police Department.
Councilmember Phillipe Cunningham declined to discuss the security measures. (read more)
If we can maintain enough clear vision to see past the garbage the nation is being fed by the liberal media tv and newsprint shysters, we should be able to clearly see that we are being sold some serious lies as the most critical 2020 elections are approaching. One of the biggest and most distressing of those lies is Joe Biden. Just as Tucker Carlson indicated a few nights ago, the Democrats have no other choice but Biden. And, at the same time, he is precisely what they were hoping to find. He really is just a shell of a man. It’s obvious that the only mind he has left is whatever is pumped to him through his teleprompters. And, the people who are supposed to be reporting our news to us impartially are talking this guy up as though he is truly the spotless rocket scientist his campaigners bill him as. He is a babbling idiot.
‘Touchy-feely Joe’ or Joe, “Gaffes-for-Laughs”, Biden is definitely the Democrat’s desperation toss
I don’t know if anybody remembers this. Most people, anymore, can’t seem to hang on to more than an hour’s history right after it happens. It was the Democratic debate, September 2019. I doubt that Joe Biden remembers much about that night, since it was obvious that Joe couldn’t even remember why he and all those other people were standing at podiums in front of a bunch of cameras and strangers. Nevertheless, it was so cool. One of the questions Joe was asked was his opinion regarding ‘reparations’ (government money—our tax dollars—given to the descendents of slaves we have never personally employed or known). And Mr. Biden dug in and began giving us directions to Mount Eiger and the recipe for a secret, herbal cure for cancer. He went bat-fecal-bonkers. And everybody pretended not to notice (until the next day’s papers came out—and then everybody became momentarily honest, due to the fact that the fix had not been fully assembled yet).
But ‘touchy-feely Joe’ or Joe, “Gaffes-for-Laughs”, Biden is definitely the Democratic party’s desperation toss in the final moments of their 2020 “Give Us Somebody!—Give Us Anybody!” Presidential-Campaign-Tour. There is no way the Democrats could, in seriousness, put forth a disaster like Joe Biden for a presidential candidate—without an absolutely guaranteed fix from all of liberal media (the ‘big six’) and the Hollywood entertainment empire, promising that guarantee being even stronger than what they had prepared for Hillary.
I have maintained from the beginning that somehow the Obamas are going to have something to do with the projected coming Democrat administration. In the unhappy event that Sleepy Joe is actually elected, watch for his vice presidential choice, and more importantly, his choice for Chief of Staff. Then check out his appointments. The hidden agenda will be revealed and you will know who is actually running our country. We need to remember that the Obamas just bought a $15 million home on Martha’s Vineyard. [Remember, they are staunch global warming fans—and so they are of course buying a mansion that sits about an inch above a purportedly rising sea level.]
Joe Biden’s inordinate preoccupation with the private space of women—especially little girls
That house has a helipad, a docking area for all sorts of boats and submarines—and it will be a no flyover zone for everyone including our own military. In other words, they can there meet with whomever and do pretty much whatever they please. But what bond does a relic like Joe Biden seriously have with Barack? Barack is supporting him now. But I don’t think Joe is going to be looked to for too much ‘presidencing’, should he make it past the final eliminator round.
So often, when I am forced to watch and listen to that clown, Biden, I feel close to spewing my lunch all over whatever newspaper or monitor I’m in front of. If ever there were a ‘poser for president’, Joe is that guy. I mean, if he campaigned against himself, both Bidens would lose. Nevertheless, Joe was, on the evening of that above-mentioned debate, asked his opinion of ‘reparations’. And I honestly believe he couldn’t deliver a straight answer for one of two simple reasons:
He couldn’t remember what he might have said in past interviews about reparations and he was justifiably afraid of contradicting himself, or,
[and most likely] He couldn’t remember what he might have said in past interviews about reparations. And he was justifiably afraid of contradicting himself.
Seriously though, the real reason is painfully clear. That, in the very moment you ask a question of Joe, Joe has already forgotten the question. This has been more than solidly documented several times during this, his third stab at the presidency. And people supposedly really want this character to be our chief executive?
In some of my recent articles I’ve discussed Joe Biden’s inordinate preoccupation with the private space of women—especially little girls. Until YouTube takes down the movies of Joe at different press appearances and photo ops, all you have to do is go and search through a shameful thumbnailed list of the videos of Biden’s ‘Roman hands’ wherein he is sniffing hair and very apparently copping feels of the little girls who obviously don’t appreciate his being so ‘friendly.’ But this is today undeniably part of the ‘rank’ and file of what happened to the so-called ‘Democratic Party’ when they, under Jesse Jackson’s brilliant leadership, became the representative organ and umbrella for what he called ‘the Rainbow Coalition.’ Jesse saw that there were a whole slew of weirdos-from-outer-space who did not feel at home in either the Republican or Democratic political parties. So he then, in 1984, developed his own ‘coalition.’
Today we have advanced to a nation full of coddled snowflakes who believe that government is only useful for signing checks
And today you see the fruit (pun perhaps intended) of what he conjured when he went looking for extra voting blocs. Do you want the textbook definition of anarchy? Keep an eye on the rainbow people. “‘Right and wrong?’ That whole thing is racism!” I remember when everybody started using ‘ebonics’ . TV shows then—suddenly—started featuring all sorts of sexual crudity, innuendo, and street language was introduced as a part of children’s communication with other kids their age. My readers will remember when the popular, alleged ‘song’, “Cop Killer” first came out. It was then that the very real devil had no more need of back-masking or disguising rotten words and messages in what growing minds would hear. The Democrats were even then completely fine with that sort of subversive progression.
Today we have advanced to a nation full of coddled snowflakes who believe that government is only useful for signing checks. Today’s brave new world revolves around freebies! And the left uses our tax dollars to prime the pump and make the world safe for themselves (job security for professional politicians). ‘Reparations’ has become a substitute and condensed, leftist term for a bribe, or, “We are willing to pay you in consideration for your vote.” En route to arriving at Joe Biden’s candidacy, other preliminary candidates postured many different promises that were tantamount to that exact notion. They included but were not limited to: ‘reparations’ (a.k.a. ‘MONEY’), loan forgiveness, tax breaks if you are gay, and/or other valuable legislative favors.
But the ugly bottom line is that Biden and his nut-job friends, Pelosi, Schiff, Hillary, Nadler and so forth, and a bunch of lesser Democratic players throughout our country, are all giving praise, rendering obeisance and lending credential to the crowd of wrecking crew whose new behavioral model is a not so bright guy who is advocating for all of his weirdo followers to burn down our nation as they see fit (or as he instructs them to). So, from the fact that they are pushing what appears to be a madman for president. And they’re doing that while visibly supporting the people who have vowed to destroy us. And given the fact that the new left (who can no longer really call themselves Democrats) is thereby promoting anarchy, violence, ungodliness, and bottomless genocide for unborn babies, to boot, how can anyone in their right mind not fight against such a fatal takeover?
It took the Obamas eight years to get this nation totally, racially on the brink of an all-out race battle
We know that the framers have to be rolling in their graves at 50,000 RPM right now. It took the Obamas eight years to get this nation totally, racially on the brink of an all-out race battle. Nearly all that nonsense had died during the Clinton administration. And Michelle and Barack resurrected the whole thing for their party’s profit. The tv’s liberal entertainment empire is keeping Americans fraught with fear while promoting a madman puppet to assume the most powerful office in a world on the edge of falling apart. And of course, the news machine, a.k.a. the swamp, is fully behind all of this—because they want an office on the second floor of the White House, just across the hall from whatever puppet is running the place. [They may be mightily surprised when they find out the hard way that the first thing an autocratic government does is shut down and completely control the media.]
The polls, we are told, have left President Trump so far behind Joe Biden that we just need to throw up our hands in the air and surrender. But given all this confusion, when we look at the facts there can be no confusion. The press and their new presidential hopeful are lying to us so hard, so egregiously, that we can only assume that they are doing one big, evil, final, full-court press in order to guarantee the worst for our future—and financial/power windfalls for themselves. I mean, the left has absolutely given us the unrest and horror that today surrounds us. How much ‘better’ will things be when they finally take complete control of our nation? On that day, a burnt out, touchy-feely Joe will be clutching his teddy bear and smiling from his chair facing the corner. He will be informed that he doesn’t even have to report to that stuffy old Oval Office or show up for any of those boring, confusing meetings. And he’ll be so happy. But he just won’t think to ask why.
Earlier today President Trump signed an Executive Order requiring Federal agencies to focus hiring on the skills job seekers possess, rather than focusing on whether they earned a college degree. The order requires Federal agencies to revise and update outdated Federal job qualification standards and candidate assessments, improving the quality and competency of the civil service.
The order implements best practices already adopted by private sector leaders to promote equity and inclusion. As a result of this reform, talented individuals with apprenticeships, technical training, and apt backgrounds will have greater opportunity to pursue careers in the Federal civil service. [Video and Transcript of Workforce Meeting]

[Transcript] – THE PRESIDENT: Nice to see you. Thank you very much. Busy time.
MS. TRUMP: Absolutely.
THE PRESIDENT: We’re making a lot of progress with the whole situation that came in from a place called China, as you probably know. You probably see. But we have a little work to do, and we’ll get it done. We’re having some very good numbers coming out in terms of the comeback — the comeback of our nation. And I think it’s going very rapidly and it’s going to be very good. But right now, we’re in that process of building.
And it’s an honor that you’re with us today. We very much appreciate it. I’m delighted to welcome members of the Workforce Policy Advisory Board. And I want to thank Ivanka; she works very hard on this board. She works very hard to get jobs. And it’s “Made in the USA” and jobs in the USA.
I saw a group of your people yesterday, having to do with ships. You’re involved in that partnership and it’s fantastic, what they’re doing in Wisconsin. It was really a great day.
The Secretary of Treasury is with us, and he’s worked very hard, and I think he’s got some very good things to say and some pretty big news.
And Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Secretary of Labor Gene Scalia, Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, and Small Business Administrator — who has definitely kept busy — Jovita. Where is Jovita? Jovita. Good. Jovita Carranza.
Thanks also to Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, who’s done terrifically. Kim — hi, Kim.
GOVERNOR REYNOLDS: Good to see you.
THE PRESIDENT: Nice to see you. Thank you very much.
And Eric Holcomb, Governor of Indiana. And we always recognize Eric because he’s — how tall are you, Eric? (Laughter.) Little — he’s a pretty tall guy. Right? But we have one that’s a little taller. You know where that is? Alaska. You know that, right? You’re doing a great job. We appreciate it.
As well as the CEOs who have signed our Pledge to American Workers: Marillyn Hewson — thank you very much — of Lockheed Martin; Sebastian Thrun of Udacity; and Ginni Rometty of IBM. I want to thank you all. You’ve been really here from — from the beginning, very much from the beginning, and we appreciate it very much.
Together we built the greatest economy in history — and, literally, in the history of the world. Greatest we’ve ever had. The greatest the world has ever seen. And now we have to bring it back because we had to close in order to save millions of lives. We added 2.5 million jobs last month, which was incredible. A number — the largest monthly increase in history and more than double the previous record.
So we’re bringing it back. We had the greatest ever and we had to close it, and now we bring it back. And we start off with 2.5 million jobs in one month; I would say that’s pretty good, Marillyn. Right? That’s the highest ever done.
And then likewise, retail sales surged by nearly 18 percent last month. That was the biggest jump ever recorded. So that’s great.
The stock market is seeing you go back a week — one week. It’s the — saw the best 50 days in its history — best 50-day increase in the history of the stock markets.
Our Pledge to America’s Workers has secured commitments to over 16 million job and training opportunities from employers nationwide. And some of the employers are with us, and they’ve been fantastic.
I want to thank the American people for doing such an incredible job. They understand what’s happening, and they see how fast we’re turning it around. I want to just state that this is Americans of all backgrounds that we’re talking about, to have the chance — we want to get them the chance to learn and to build a successful career. We want to train Americans and we want to hire Americans. So we’re training American and we’re hiring American.
Before the pledge — and this is a very big factor. I mean, we have a — a problem that has about 22 different names, but I’ll just call it “the plague.” But before the plague struck, we had the lowest African American and Hispanic American, Asian American unemployment ever. We had the most jobs we’ve ever had, almost 160 million jobs. We’ve never been in a position like that. Women were thriving. Best numbers ever. And since my election, more than half of those jobs — more than half; first time that’s ever happened — went to women. But now we want to get that all back.
The African American group got hit very hard. The Hispanic American group got hit very hard. Essentially all groups got hit hard, but now it’s all coming back.
To further expand opportunity, I’m taking a bold action to reform the federal workforce. Today I’ll sign an executive order that directs the federal government to replace outdated — and really outdated — it’s called “degree-based hiring” — with skill-based hiring. So we want it based on skill.
The federal government will no longer be narrowly focused on where you went to school, but the skills and the talents that you bring to the job. We want that skill to be there. We want it based on merit. We’ve looked at merit for a long time, and we’ve been able to get that done.
And today’s signing is a very, very important one. I think maybe before I sign, I’ll ask Ivanka to say a few words. And then we’ll go around a little bit, we’ll pick a few people, and then we’ll sign, and we go back to work.
Thank you very much. Ivanka.
MS. TRUMP: Thank you, Mr. President. It’s an honor to have you here. We just convened our sixth meeting of our Workforce Advisory Board, and we got an update on the team’s response to your bold call to action.
First, we’re going to be launching — and Ginni Rometty, in partnership with Tim Cook, spearheaded this group — a massive advertising campaign that directs those that need to reskill, learn a new trade, to secure a job to the resources to enable them to do that. So we’re very excited about the launch of this private-sector-led and driven campaign to match Americans with the training they need, and ultimately the job vacancies that exist.
The advisory board is also creating a series of pilot programs — and Scott Pulsipher and Doug McMillon have been running these groups — where we really think about how we create the resumes of the future and allow people to find job vacancies based on skill — and for employers to connect with those unemployed workers, again, based on skill. So creating a lot more efficiency to that process.
You are once again leading by example here today with this EO signing. As the nation’s largest employer, we are always seeking to recruit and retain the best and the brightest to serve the American people. Last December, you fought for and secured paid leave for every federal worker — this was a first — creating a workplace that reflects our American values of work and family, and helping us retain our amazing talent.
It’s also why you fought so hard this spring, when COVID struck, to secure paid sick leave for Americans employed by small businesses and additional funding for child care providers helping millions and millions of Americans remain employed and providing relief to small businesses across the country. This is going to ensure a faster and stronger recovery.
Today, we’re taking that next step, as you mentioned, in signing an executive order that directs federal agencies to hire based on skills and knowledge, not just outdated degree requirements. This will allow us to better recognize the talents and competencies of all Americans we hire. You built once the most inclusive economy in this country’s history, and you’ll build it again.
Through our Pledge to America’s Workers, the private sector has committed to investing in the training and education of over 16 million American students and workers. And this continues, despite the vast change that — that the plague ushered in.
Companies like Udacity — Sebastian Thrun joins us today — have been leading the way, and they’ve been using their pledge commitment and fulfilling it by providing free tech training to American workers laid off as a result of COVID.
I recently had the opportunity to virtually meet one of the students that went through your program and received your scholarship in conjunction with the pledge, and it was incredible. His name was Tony. He was a lifelong truck driver. He owned his own business. It was a single rig that he had. Through a series of setbacks, the company ended up going under. He signed up for a course in tech, and is now a software engineer, providing for his family, absolutely loving what he does. And there are many, many stories like Tony that hopefully will inspire millions across the nation.
Marillyn Hewson, also an early pledge signer, of Lockheed Martin committed to hiring during the pandemic using virtual technology and other techniques to ensure recruitment processes move forward.
So with more people teleworking and learning from home than ever before, we have a lot to accomplish in the months ahead, and I’m really excited about your effort to extend this working group and to reform our federal hiring practices, as we think about building that inclusive American economy as we transition to greatness.
So, thank you for today. And it’s a pleasure to have you join us.
THE PRESIDENT: Great. Thank you very much, honey. Great job. It really has been. It’s been a labor of love.
MS. TRUMP: That’s true.
THE PRESIDENT: And Ivanka loves helping people. That’s a wonderful thing.
Marillyn, how about starting with you? Thank you.
MS. HEWSON: Well, thank you, Mr. President. It’s really an honor to serve on this policy board. And I must say, I agree with you: Advisor Trump — Ivanka Trump — and Secretary Ross have led us well. We’ve had a great effort over the last several meetings and put forward some strong recommendations that I help- — helped to match the skills together with the jobs that are there. And at Lockheed Martin, we’re proud that this year we’re on a path to hire 12,000 people. And a lot of it is around making sure that we are getting the kind of apprenticeships and scholarships and skills training for them so that they can link up to jobs in our operation.
Thank you.
THE PRESIDENT: Well, you’ve done a great job. And I got to see it again. I mentioned it — it was so impressive what I saw — the whole group yesterday. It was really great to be there. And I didn’t know you had a big chunk of that one, but you’ve done very well with it, so we appreciate it.
Please, Sebastian. Please.
MR. THRUN: It’s a great honor to meet you. And I want to thank you for keeping us safe and moving us forward. This has been, of course, a vital time for all of us with over 30 million unemployed. It’s our chance to really redefine how education looks like and move into a world where people learn lifelong, have lifelong access, and unfold their livelihoods.
Ivanka was, of course, the visionary behind all of this. And thank you for doing this. I mentioned Tony Boswell — a truck driver who was driving trucks for 10 years, and then his truck broke down, and he couldn’t finance the new engine that he needed. He was unemployed, had no income, no education, and came across, by randomness, a Google scholarship that Udacity launched. And then, in 10 months’ time, was able to become a software engineer.
These are the stories that I believe this nation needs. I think we have so much opportunity, so much potential in this — in this great nation to bring people forward, and I think this is the time to do it.
THE PRESIDENT: That’s a great story. It’s a great story. Amazing story.
Ginni, please.
MS. ROMETTY: Yes. Well, first, Mr. President, thank you for your leadership during this time.
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you. Thank you very much.
MS. ROMETTY: And you used an important word when you described Ivanka’s contribution here as a “labor of love” because this is something — I think what the team has done collectively will have a very long-term impact, as well as short-term. And we are solving probably — or working towards helping solve one of the most important pro- — programs for growth for the country as well, so — to help anyone from any socio-economic background.
So I really — my hat is off and a thanks to Secretary Ross and to Ivanka for having led us through this. And I think what we have put on the table is substantive change, and I know it is a change to a company like mine.
So as you sign skills first, we’ve adopted that, and 15 percent of our hires last year were people from non-traditional backgrounds. And so it’s a — it’s really what this is all about, I think, in giving everyone a bright — a bright future in the digital era.
So thank you for that.
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much, Ginni. Good job.
MS. ROMETTY: Thank you.
THE PRESIDENT: Eric, go ahead, please.
GOVERNOR HOLCOMB: Well, I’ll just add my appreciation. I mean, what you’re doing today is leveling the playing field. And there’s been a lot of people, a lot of have-nots that will have an opportunity to join the haves. And to — to do it during a time of such challenge, but to recognize the opportunity that’s here, and to do it now — there couldn’t be a more important time.
So appreciate everyone’s effort around this table and your leadership on this front.
THE PRESIDENT: And Indiana is doing very well. I’m hearing good things.
GOVERNOR HOLCOMB: We are. We are moving in the right direction. We are — we’ve got 93,000 unfilled jobs right now —
THE PRESIDENT: Amazing.
GOVERNOR HOLCOMB: — that we need to fill. We’ve ushered in 100,000 jobs in just three and a half years; the previous record was 93,000 in four years. These are high-wage, high- demand jobs. These are $28, north, an hour.
THE PRESIDENT: That’s great.
GOVERNOR HOLCOMB: So this is what it’s all about –skilling up the workforce. Thank you.
THE PRESIDENT: That’s great. Great job. Thank you very much.
Kim.
GOVERNOR REYNOLDS: Well, thank you, Mr. President. And what I so appreciate about your administration is it’s really an administration of action. You identified barriers and gaps, and then you helped bring the right people together to find the solutions and enact those. So thank you very much.
It’s been an honor to be a part of this advisory board. I appreciate how, with the leadership of Ivanka and Secretary Ross, we really have identified the various elements, connected those elements — whether it’s been consistent data, definition, goals, and messaging. And I look forward to really amplifying that in the state of Iowa.
By executive order, I just created an economic task force. I brought several CEOs, business leaders, and nonprofits together to utilize their expertise in the way through innovation, adaptation, and creativity adjusted within weeks to the coronavirus.
And everything that this group has talked about will fold so well into what we’re trying to do at the state level. And when you think about that happening in every state across the country, we really are going to come back stronger and better and really help provide opportunities for every single American.
So thank you for leading it.
THE PRESIDENT: All right. And we see it now, Kim. Next year is going to be, we think, amazing, actually.
GOVERNOR REYNOLDS: Yep. I agree.
THE PRESIDENT: It’s going to be an amazing year.
Larry, would you like to say something?
MR. KUDLOW: Yeah. Thanks, sir. I spoke just before you came, but I’ll just repeat the “V” shaped recovery. Virtually every number is showing a “V” shaped recovery now — private surveys, government statistics, restaurants, home builders, truckers, durable goods makers, Apple mobility and travel, gasoline demand.
As you said, the jobs went up really about 3 million in May. We had tremendous retail sales. Actually, today, in the income report, we had tremendous consumer spending: 8 percent at an annual rate for one month. It’s a great story.
THE PRESIDENT: That’s a great number. Yeah.
MR. KUDLOW: And I still think we’ll get 20 percent in the second half of the year. And if we get another 5 percent in the first quarter of next year, we will be right back to the peak in 2019, where you got us the first time with the growth policies.
And I just want to say: Ivanka, I gave you a big pitch, gave you — did the best I could. Private sector reskilling and retraining — and not only will people come back to the labor force when they’re reskilled; they’ll come back with higher wages, and they’ll come back with more confidence, and it’ll make a huge difference as it already has.
And so I’ve added you to the four pillars of growth. The President —
THE PRESIDENT: Good.
MR. KUDLOW: Tax cuts —
THE PRESIDENT: Good taste.
MR. KUDLOW: — deregulation, energy unleashing, fair trade deals, and private-sector-led reskilling. How’s that, sir?
THE PRESIDENT: That’s great. That’s great. And I’m very happy what you said about early next year. I think next year is going to be an incredible year.
Thank you very much, Larry.
MR. KUDLOW: Appreciate it.
THE PRESIDENT: Wilbur, would you like to say something?
SECRETARY ROSS: Yes, Mr. President. Thank you for the opportunity to help Ivanka and the others on this group. I’ve been very, very impressed with the productivity of this advisory board. Most advisory boards create a big, thick book at the end. It goes in the library and nothing happens. This group, every single meeting, there’s a specific, tangible thing that gets filed up and it gets implemented.
So it’s really been a heartwarming thing to see how productive these folks have been, and I congratulate all of them.
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much. Thank you.
Gene, please.
SECRETARY SCALIA: Thank you, Mr. President. And you mentioned the three and a half percent unemployment rate just a few months ago. You did so many things for the American worker during those three years.
You know, back in the summer of 2016, the Congressional Budget Office said that we’d be at 5 percent unemployment in February. They said that, between then and February 2020, they said we’d create 1.9 million jobs; we created 7 million jobs.
So Larry touched on it. It was — it was policies of tax cuts, of deregulation that brought us there, which was just a wonderful thing for the American worker as jobs were being created and wages were rising.
But there was other work going on. And what you see today is a manifestation of other things that were being done that are now going to have their day to really help workers. We — we are coming back. Larry has mentioned some of the numbers. But we know that the training will be important, and we’re fortunate that this really, very extraordinary group — and as Secretary Ross has said, a group that really generated valuable product — they were working quietly to help train American workers.
I spoke earlier about a new apprenticeship rule that we adopted at the Labor Department that I think will be very helpful. This will be an important part of the rebound.
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you, Gene, very much. Appreciate it.
Steve, please.
SECRETARY MNUCHIN: Thank you, Mr. President. Well, as others said, your economic team, working with you, knew how to create jobs and it created an enormous amount. And because of this virus, we had to, unfortunately, shut down the economy.
We know how to reopen the economy safely. Working with Congress, we put $3 trillion in. It’s beginning to work; we see it. And we’re — our work isn’t going to be done until every single one of these jobs is done.
We know we need a few more tools. We’ll go back to Congress next month, but we’re going to get everybody back to work. And I’m confident we’re going to see a strong third and fourth quarter as we reopen.
THE PRESIDENT: That’s great, Steve. Thank you very much.
Anybody else would like to say something? Anybody? Anybody? This is your chance. Go ahead. Please.
MS. ROLLINS: Mr. President, I just want to say, as your Domestic Policy Chief, what an extraordinary today — day today is, and here’s why: It’s not just the work of this council and the leadership of Ivanka, it is the executive order that you are about to sign that completely resets the playing field.
The federal government is the largest employer in the country, with 2 million employees. Two thirds of American adults do not have a college degree. Your signature that is recalibrating the workforce away from being degree-only to skillset is transformational.
And the opportunity for you to fight for all Americans — I think about Tony that Ivanka talked about; that Sebastian talked about from Udacity — from a truck driver, to a software engineer, next potentially into the federal government because of this executive order that is focusing on skills, rather than degrees.
Congratulations and thank you for your leadership. It’s extraordinary.
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you. Thank you very much. Anybody? Jovita.
ADMINISTRATOR CARRANZA: Yes, President Trump, thank you very much for your strong leadership.
You know, I sit in the audience here as part of a participate — participation of this particular advisory board, and I’m a recipient of the type of programs that you are actually implementing and supporting.
I started out as a box handler in a — in the world’s largest logistics company. And so when I hear everyone talk about the dedication of the workforce and establishing some really comprehensive training, I took advantage of every training opportunity there was in the private sector. And perhaps you’ll see another Administrator similar to me, based on the programs that you’re going to advocate and support.
And because of the public-private partnerships that this administration has enabled — the Paycheck Protection Program, just one example that has fortified small businesses, sustained their viability, and also protected their employees — a baseline of about 60 million employees. And so I thank you again for putting small businesses front and center.
And one other comment. I’m looking at all of these private sector companies — the super leaders in your various sectors. You are the primary contractors for the — the subcontractors that I represent as an advocate for Small Business Administration. So once you reinstate your viability, the small-business sector will then follow soon — soon after.
So thank you again, President.
THE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much, Jovita. Thank you very much.
SECRETARY DEVOS: Mr. President —
THE PRESIDENT: Please.
SECRETARY DEVOS: I just appreciate your unrelenting focus on creating opportunity for all Americans, and that begins with opportunities in education. And I so appreciate your leadership there. And it’s been a privilege to be part of this, Ivanka. And, Secretary Ross, thank you for your work here.
We are privileged to carry out your vision in policy and action, as Governor Reynolds said. And thank you for your leadership.
THE PRESIDENT: Choice — how’s that going? Choice. Right?
SECRETARY DEVOS: Yes, sir.
THE PRESIDENT: That’s what we want. Please.
MR. PULSIPHER: Yeah, I was just going to say thank you, Mr. President. From a university’s perspective, it’s often perceived as skills versus degrees. But in reality, in a skills-denominated future, it is that tide that lifts all boats. Because even those who possess degrees, they can better articulate the skills and competencies that they now have for the future of work.
And the reality is, too — is that it’s also more fair, it’s more equitable, it’s more prosperous for our workforce because what it really is, is it — it’s now about what you possess and what you can demonstrate, not how you acquired the competency and skill.
THE PRESIDENT: Right.
MR. PULSIPHER: And so it just creates much more of an equitable — equitable pathway. And WGU, as a competency-based education provider, has always been focused on how do you articulate the outcomes of achieving a degree in a skills and competency-based way so it’s much more aligned with the future of work. And so it is truly that tide that lifts all boats.
So, this is a huge step in the right direction. So, thank you very much.
THE PRESIDENT: I agree with you 100 percent, I must say. I do.
Okay? Why don’t we sign? And this is a big deal. Congratulations to everybody in the room. This means a lot.
(The executive order is signed.)
Okay. We’ll do that for Marillyn. Who will take this?
(The President distributes a signing pen.)
(Applause.)
Thank you very much. (Inaudible.)
(The executive order is signed.)
Okay. That’s very good. We have pens for everybody. Here, honey. (Applause.) All right. Phase two. Thank you very much.
Well, thank you all very much. We appreciate it. This is really an important day for a lot of reasons. But this is one of them. Thank you all for being with us. We appreciate it very much. Thank you very much.
Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross appears on Fox News with Stuart Varney to discuss a change in federal hiring policy. However, within the interview Ross notes some key economic data that has a very solid predictor value for economic growth.
Both the spending rates and the savings rates for Americans are at all time highs. The COVID-19 lockdown has limited purchase options, leading to less initial spending; however, consumers have a lot of recent cash reserve as shown in their rate of savings.
Ross is right, within this dynamic, as soon as economic limits are removed, the spending will boost the economy very quickly.
“A great civilization is not conquered from without, until it has destroyed itself from within. The essential causes of Rome’s decline lay in her people, her morals, her class struggle, her failing trade, her bureaucratic despotism, her stifling taxes, her consuming wars.”
– Will Durant, The Story Of Civilization III, Epilogue, 1944.
The above quote circulates as such, but it is a synthesis from his Epilogue Why Rome Fell?. Based upon this writer’s independent review of the collapse, it is an accurate summary. And the collapse was due to the bureaucracy intruding and spending money until, literally, it was all gone. As with today’s great experiment in authoritarian government, it began with immense wealth. In Rome’s case accumulated through conquest.
The latest authoritarian banners has included the “Genius of the Fed”
Successful bureaucratic intrusion starts at a relatively low level, only taking enough not to upset the taxpayer and the country’s main businesses. Eventually, civil servants will push taxation to the point of pain to the citizens and then supplement tax revenues with the cheat of inflation through currency depreciation. Thus, all three such great experiments have been accompanied by chronic price inflation.
Rome’s experiment was headed by the inspiring banner the “Genius of the Emperor”. The next such experiment started in 1500 when the banner was the “Infallibility of the Pope”. The Church was corrupted by a bureaucracy that eventually became venal and murderous.
This culminated with the combination of church and state forcing too much in-your-face and in-your-wallet government. In the early 1600s, the costly intrusion inspired a number of popular uprisings that eventually added up to a great reformation.
“Genius of the Fed”
The latest authoritarian banners has included the “Genius of the Fed.”
Recently, it seems that the Deep State has been on a roll with a remarkable cluster of fearful issues. These have been promoted such that only big and commanding government can provide solutions. “Global Warming” had morphed into “Climate Change”, before becoming “Climate Hysteria”. And “SARS-CoV-2” has provided the magic incantation to suddenly trash the global economy—one country at a time.
This has never happened before and quite soon ordinary folk will see it as yet another scam by control freaks. Forcing people to stay at home and not spend money. So,
Not today Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez- supporting Shaun King. Not tomorrow, not the next day, and as far as a majority of humankind is concerned, NOT EVER!
“Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King called Monday for the removal of statues, murals and stained glass windows that depict Jesus as a “white European,” which he claimed “are a form of white supremacy.” (LifeSite,June 22, 2020)
“Yes, I think the statues of the white European they claim is Jesus should also come down,” King, a former surrogate on Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’s 2020 presidential campaign, wrote on Twitter. “They are a form of white supremacy. Always have been.”
“King’s targeting of religious artwork comes as various activist groups have moved beyond tearing down Confederate statues and are now calling for the removal of other historical monuments.
“In the Bible, when the family of Jesus wanted to hide, and blend in, guess where they went?” he added. “EGYPT! Not Denmark. Tear them down.”
WHOA! Here’s a latter day Marxist’s attempt trying to rewrite the Holy Bible inferring how The Holy Family tried to blend in in “EGYPT!” not Denmark.
But King’s pathetic attempt to drag our much adored and revered Lord and Savior into his over-the-top “white supremacy” obsession was over before it even began.
It’s because most folk the world over are not having any of his heresy and never will.
King’s bid to remove images of Christ won’t work even with the help of his disciples Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—who are every bit as whacko as he is.
Most knew before King jumped on his King Herod horse that Karl Marx, and not the Creator, is the god of the Marxists/Socialists/Communists and all the hatred civil disorder, and pure evil that they bring.
— Shaun King (@shaunking) June 22, 2020
“All murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends should also come down,” King wrote in a second tweet. “They are a gross form of white supremacy.”
A spokesperson for King didn’t immediately return a request for additional comment.
That’s likely because he’s already desperately searching for a way to walk it all back.
“King made his remarks over a series of Twitter posts as historic monuments and statues have become the targets of anger and vandalism during Black Lives Matter protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death while in police custody late last month. (Fox News, June 22, 2020)
Neither Bernie Sanders nor AOC can walk back their support for this radical prominent Black Lives Matter activist.
It was King who introduced Sanders at some of his campaign events. (WaPO, March 10, 2020)
From the get-go publicity hound AOC used King in her bragging rights:

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s critique of “moderates” is spot on.
Moderates are more naive than the visionaries if they think tinkering around the edges will solve systemic problems in our democracy and economy.
It’s time to rewrite the social contract, not manage decline. — From @justicedemocrats
Meanwhile King’s call to “tear down” “all murals and stained glass windows of white Jesus, and his European mother, and their white friends” is what the electorate is waiting to do to all Democrats—including cunning Justice Democrat ones—on November 3, 2020.
They are going to remove the statue of Teddy Roosevelt, who ironically was a socialist, as they claim the statue is now racist because it portrays an American Indian and a black African. Teddy Roosevelt was certainly not a slave owner. The statue reflected the two continents being America (the American Indian), and Africa because Roosevelt had taken a year-long expedition to Africa. Is a statue depicting a black person representing Africa automatically racist?
If you look at the footage of various attacks on statues, you will notice that these are not purely blacks protesting. You will see a lot of whites in these movements. This is reflecting more civil unrest which is also frustration over the lockdown and losing jobs. The job losses have hit the youth very hard for they are often the people in service industries just getting states like waitresses and stock boys. With movies, plays, restaurants, malls, and small shops closed, it has been the youth thrown out of work with no unemployment for they were not full-time employees.
These protests are not really thought out. In some cases, this is the equivalent of the Taliban destroying the monumental statues of Gautama Buddha carved into the side of a cliff in the Bamyan valley in the Hazarajat region of central Afghanistan. Then there were the museum raids by ISIS, who destroyed statues they disagreed with. This would be akin to blowing up the Pyramids because the Egyptians were pagans.
This is the statue in the Capitoline Museum in Rome depicting Romulus and Remus suckling a she-wolf based upon the myth of the founding of Rome. Should this statue now be removed because it represents somehow cruelty to animals?
Here is a Roman coin of Emperor Hadian (117-138 AD) with a reverse depicting Africa as a female with an elephant headdress, holding a scorpion, with a basket of wheat symbolizing the Egyptian food source of grain for the world. It is symbolic like the Teddy Roosevelt statue.
This is a rare coin of the ancient city of Phokaia in Ionia (modern Turkey) struck in a natural alloy of gold and silver (electrum) 560-545 BC. It depicts the head of an African man facing left with the civic badge of Phokaia behind the head. Some would say this is racist today because it was struck by Greeks. To the Greeks, Africans were called Aethiopians and they appear regularly in Greek art. The Greeks were well acquainted with Africans since they appear often in Greek literature as mythical characters and warriors.
Indeed, Africans were known in the Greek world as early as the Minoan period. They were often mercenary soldiers – not slaves. There are records of them fighting for the Minoans as well as in the army of Memnon at Troy. Even the Persians hired black mercenary soldiers who appeared in the army of Xerxes in the battle of Marathon (see Frazer, J. G., 1913: Pausanias’ Description of Greece, II. Macmillan, London, p 434; and Graindor, P., 1908: Les Vases au Nègre. Musée Belge, p 29).
As time changes, so do attitudes. Rewriting history seems to be just wrong, particularly when we apply our understanding of what symbols mean today and compare them to the past. When they named the city of Philadelphia, they took the Greek meaning of “brotherly love” and saw that in the Christian context. In Greek, it meant that you married your sister — a different kind of brotherly love.
The Swastika symbol has a modern connection to Hitler and the Nazis. However, it has been a symbol found on ancient coins of Europe as well as coins of India. The symbol goes back to the Indus Saraswati Civilization as early as 1500 BC. Hindu tradition used the Swastika as a favorable symbol that was widely used in festivals, such as marriage rituals.
The Swastika symbolizes lightning bolts which represented the thunder god and the king of the gods in Vedic Hinduism, but to the Greeks, it represented Zeus in their religion. To the Romans, it represented Jupiter, and in Scandinavia/Germany it represented Thor. Here it is displayed over a bull on a coin of Macedonia (430-390 BC). It was discovered also in the excavation of Troy.
Here we find it in a mosaic that was excavated in a Byzantine church in Shavei Tzion (Israel), so we find it even in Christianity. This symbol has been around for thousands of years and it had nothing to do with racism or fascism.
The German archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann (1822-1890) discovered the Swastika at the site of ancient Troy during his excavation. Schliemann connected it with similar shapes found on pottery in Germany for it was also prevalent as a symbol of Thor. Schliemann speculated that it was a “significant religious symbol of our remote ancestors.” Hitler appears to have adopted it as a reference to the ancient German culture which became the Aryan culture he was promoting and the Nazis then adopted eugenics.
The Swastika is clearly a different symbol to different cultures but was generally religious. Because of Hitler, it tends to be banned in Western modern culture. So should statues like that of Teddy Roosevelt, which has nothing to do with slavery but the representative symbol of two continents, be destroyed? Are we embarking on book burning or blowing up monuments because today they are being reinterpreted as something different from their origin like Philadelphia? We do live in confusing times.
