VP Mike Pence and President Donald Trump Deliver Remarks to Pentagon During Missile Defense Review….

Earlier today President Trump, Vice-President Pence and Acting Defense Secretary Shanahan delivered remarks to a pentagon audience surrounding the current missile defense review.

[Transcript] The Pentagon – Arlington, Virginia – 11:25 A.M. EST

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Thank you, Acting Secretary Shanahan, Secretary Mark Esper, Secretary Wilson, distinguished members of Congress, members of the Joint Chiefs, the leadership of the Armed Forces of the United States, and to all of you who wear the uniform of the United States of America. It is my honor to be with you here today at the Pentagon as our President unveils his vision for our renewed commitment to American missile defense.

As Commander-in-Chief, President Trump has no higher priority than the safety and security of the American people. And it’s, frankly, the greatest honor of my life to serve as Vice President to a President who cares so deeply about the men and women of our Armed Forces and their families.

Today, along with all of you, our hearts and our prayers are with the families of the fallen American heroes who were lost in Syria yesterday, as well as those service members who were wounded.

We honor their service and we will honor the memory of the fallen. And their families and our Armed Forces should know their sacrifice will only steel our resolve; that as we begin to bring our troops home, we will do so in a way that ensures that the remnants of ISIS will never be able to reestablish their evil and murderous caliphate. (Applause.)

It’s in that same spirit of resolve that we gather here today. Since day one of this administration, President Trump has taken decisive action to make the strongest military in the history of the world stronger still.

Working with members of Congress in both parties, we’re rebuilding our military, restoring the arsenal of democracy. And last year, President Trump signed the largest investment in our national defense since the days of Ronald Reagan, including the largest military pay raise in nearly a decade. (Applause.)

At the President’s direction, we released a National Security Strategy that puts America first, pursued the modernization of our nuclear arsenal. And President Trump has taken decisive action to extend American dominance on land, at sea, in air, and in cyberspace, and even called for the establishment of a sixth branch of our Armed Forces to ensure American dominance in space.

In the last two years, our President has made great progress to provide for the common defense. And today, by unveiling our new strategy for missile defense, President Trump will take another critical step to ensure the safety and security of the American people and our very way of life.

This President knows that the American people believe that America First begins with peace through strength.

So now it is my high honor and distinct privilege to introduce your Commander-in-Chief, the 45th President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump. (Applause.)

THE PRESIDENT: Wow, that’s really nice. Thank you. You’re only doing that because I gave you the greatest and biggest budget in our history. (Laughter.) And I’ve now done it two times. (Applause.) And I hate to tell the rest of the world, but I’m about to do it three times. So — (applause) — so that’s the only reason you gave me such a nice welcome.

Thank you very much. And thank you to Vice President Pence for that wonderful introduction. It’s an honor to be at the Pentagon with so many distinguished military leaders, and I especially want to recognize our Acting Defense Secretary, Patrick Shanahan. He’s been fantastic — wherever you may be, Patrick. Thank you. (Applause.) Thank you.

We were talking just as I came on. I said, “Pat, I have to go now.” We’re talking defense and we’re also talking offense, you know? We can’t forget offense either, can we? We have the finest weapons in the world, and we’re ordering the finest weapons in the world. That, you can be sure of.

We’re here to present the results of my administration’s Missile Defense Review. Our goal is simple: to ensure that we can detect and destroy any missile launched against the United States — anywhere, anytime, anyplace.

As we all know, the best way to keep America safe is to keep America strong. And that’s what we’re doing. Stronger than ever.

Joining us for today’s presentation are great champions of missile defense in Congress: Senator Dan Sullivan, my friend. Thank you, Dan, very much. And Representative Mike Turner. Thank you, Mike. Thank you very much.

Also joining us from the Department of Defense are Acting Deputy Secretary of Defense David Norquist. David, thank you. Secretary Mark Esper. Secretary Heather Wilson. Thank you. Under Secretaries of Defense Michael Griffin, Ellen Lord, and John Rood. General Paul Selva. Thank you. Thank you, General. General Mark Milley. Thank you, Mark. Thank you. Thank you. And congratulations. Very importantly, congratulations. General Joseph Lengyel. And General James McConville. Thank you very much, everybody. Thank you.

Before presenting the results of our Missile Defense Review, I want to take a moment to express my deepest condolences to the families of the brave American heroes who laid down their lives yesterday in selfless service to our nation. These are great people. Great, great people. We will never forget their noble and immortal sacrifice.

This morning, I also would like to briefly address another matter of critical national security: the humanitarian and security crisis at our southern border.

Without a strong border, America is defenseless, vulnerable, and unprotected. I also want to thank the military for helping us out during the big caravan period. But now you have more caravans forming, and they’re on their way up. Thousands and thousands of people. We don’t know where they’re from, who they are — nothing.

We need strong borders. We need strong barriers and walls. Nothing else is going to work. Everyone knows it. Everybody is saying it now. It’s just a question of time. This should have been done many years ago. It should have been done by other — really, by other Presidents, and it wasn’t, just like many of the other things we’re doing that could have been done many years ago, whether it’s our negotiations with North Korea, moving the embassy to Jerusalem. So many things were supposed to have been done many years ago, and they weren’t. But we’re doing them. A wall has to be built.

We need security at our southern border. Drugs flow in. Tremendous percentages of the drugs coming into our country come from the southern border. We’re not going to allow it to happen. And that is why our Homeland Security professionals have asked Congress for a steel barrier between the ports of entry; to fund more agents, beds, medical supplies, and technology; and to close the ridiculous and dangerous immigration loopholes that no country in the world has but us.

The federal government remains shut down because Congressional Democrats refuse to approve border security. We’re going to have border security. It’s going to be tight. It’s going to be strong. We’re going to let people into our country gladly, but they’re going to come in legally. That includes for the farmers who need help and for others. But we are going to have powerful, strong border security.

While many Democrats in the House and Senate would like to make a deal, Speaker Pelosi will not let them negotiate. The Party has been hijacked by the open borders fringe within the Party. The radical left becoming the radical Democrats. Hopefully, Democrat lawmakers will step forward to do what is right for our country. And what’s right for our country is border security at the strongest level. Stop human hijacking. Stop drugs. Stop gangs. Stop criminals. That’s what we’re going to do. That was my pledge, and that’s what we’re going to do.

We’re gathered together to outline the steps that we must take to upgrade and modernize America’s missile defense. So important. In a time of rapidly evolving threats, we must be certain that our defensive capabilities are unrivaled and unmatched anywhere in the world.

All over, foreign adversaries, competitors, and rogue regimes are steadily enhancing their missile arsenals. All over. Their arsenals are getting bigger and stronger. And we’re getting bigger and stronger, in every way. They’re increasing their lethal strike capabilities, and they’re focused on developing long-range missiles that could reach targets within the United States.

As President, my first duty is the defense of our country. First duty: the defense of our country. And defense has many different definitions and covers a lot of territory. I will accept nothing less for our nation than the most effective, cutting-edge missile defense systems. We have the best anywhere in the world. It’s not even close.

Our new strategy calls for six major changes in missile defense policy:

First, we will prioritize the defense of the American people above all else. Our review calls for 20 new ground-based interceptors at Fort Greely, Alaska, and new radars and sensors to immediately detect foreign missiles launched against our great nation.
We are committed to establishing a missile defense program that can shield every city in the United States. And we will never negotiate away our right to do this.

Second, we will focus on developing new technology, not just investing more money into existing systems. The world is changing, and we’re going to change much faster than the rest of the world.

This past Tuesday, the Iranian regime tested a “space launch vehicle” — which failed — that will provide Iran with critical information — if it didn’t fail — that they could use to pursue intercontinental ballistic missile capability, and a capability, actually, of reaching the United States. We’re not going to have that happen.

The United States cannot simply build more of the same, or make only incremental improvements. What we’ve done to Iran since I’ve become President is rather miraculous. I ended the horrible, weak Iran Nuclear Deal. And I will tell you, Iran is a much different country today than it was two years ago. It’s not the same and it won’t be the same. And I do believe they want to talk.

It is not enough to merely keep pace with our adversaries; we must outpace them at every single turn. We must pursue the advanced technology and research to guarantee that the United States is always several steps ahead of those who would do us harm.
Third, we will protect the American people from all types of missile attacks. In the past, the United States lacked a comprehensive strategy for missile defense that extended beyond ballistic missiles.

Under our plan, that will change. The U.S. will now adjust its posture to also defend against any missile strikes, including cruise and hypersonic missiles. And we are, by the way, very advanced also on hypersonic technology and missiles. We will always be at the forefront of everything.

Fourth, we will recognize that space is a new warfighting domain, with the Space Force leading the way.

My upcoming budget will invest in a space-based missile defense layer. It’s new technology. It’s ultimately going to be a very, very big part of our defense and, obviously, of our offense. The system will be monitored, and we will terminate any missile launches from hostile powers, or even from powers that make a mistake. It won’t happen. Regardless of the missile type or the geographic origins of the attack, we will ensure that enemy missiles find no sanctuary on Earth or in the skies above.

This is the direction that I’m heading. We have some very bad players out there, and we’re a good player but we can be far worse than anybody, if need be. I’ve always known — and I’ve watched and I’ve seen — the stronger you are, the less you will need, whatever that strength may be.

Fifth, we will remove bureaucratic obstacles to dramatically speed up the acquisition and deployment of the new technology.

And sixth, we will insist on fair burden sharing with our allies.
I’ve made it clear we are protecting many, many wealthy, wealthy, wealthy, wealthy countries. One country, they said, has an unsustainable cash flow. In other words, they make so much money they don’t know what to do with it. I said, “Send it our way.” (Laughter.) “We’re protecting you. Send it our way.”

We protect all of these wealthy countries, which I’m very honored to do, but many of them are so wealthy they can easily pay us the cost of this protection.

So you’ll see big changes taking place. And we’ve had great talks with countries. Friendly talks. One of them said, “Mr. President, yes, we will work with you. But for 30 years, nobody has ever asked.” I said, “Now we’re asking.” It took a long time. I said, “Now we’re asking.” And that allows us to spend much more money than these incredible budgets, where it’s just money going out and not coming back.

So, wealthy, wealthy countries that we’re protecting are all under notice and all cooperating very nicely. I would say they probably liked other Presidents more than me, but that’s okay. I don’t blame them. I would too. (Laughter.) There was a recent poll in Europe. The original poll, when I first ran, I was one of the most popular people in the world. And now they said, “He’s not popular in Europe.” I shouldn’t be — because I’m asking them to step up. You have countries paying less than 1 percent in NATO.

Last year, I raised $44 billion more by saying, “I’m sorry, you have to step up.” The year before that, my first year — so I was just getting started — I raised $24 billion with one meeting. And until that, it was just going down. It was going down. For 15 years, it was just going down, the numbers going into NATO. And this year we’ll also have a good year. They’re starting to step up. Very unfair when Germany pays 1 percent and we’re paying 4.3 percent of a much larger GDP.

We cannot be the fools for others. We cannot be. We don’t want to be called that. And I will tell you, for many years, behind your backs, that’s what they were saying. So there’s a big difference. We’re going to be with NATO 100 percent. But as I told the countries, you have to step up. You have to pay minimum numbers, actually. The numbers should be much higher. They set a 2 percent goal. Very few pay that. But they should be much higher than that. If you look at what we pay, it’s massively higher than that.

So we have very good relationships, but countries are now stepping up, and they can well afford to.

In furtherance of this goal, our plan directs the Department of Defense to prioritize the sale of American missile defense and technology to our allies and to our partners. We want them to be able to defend. And they’re willing to pay for the finest missiles in the world. They’ve already done that. They’re stepping up like nobody has ever seen before, actually.
We will also leverage our network of partnerships to share early warning and tracking information, and detect missile launches as early as possible.

Today marks the beginning of a new era in our missile defense program. For too long, we have been held back by self-imposed limits while foreign competitors grow and they advance more than we have over the years. Part of the reason is we spend so much money on so many other places. Now that’s changing. We’re helping and we’re able to spend money on technology and new defense, and far beyond defense systems. So those days are history.

Our strategy is grounded in one overriding objective: to detect and destroy every type of missile attack against any American target, whether before or after launch.

When it comes to defending America, we will not take any chances. We will only take action.

There is no substitute for American military might. But when I took office — you know it better than anybody in the world — our military was very tired. It was very depleted. I won’t even tell you the things that some of our great generals were telling me. And now it’s being rebuilt at a rapid rate and, very shortly, will be more powerful than ever before. And that’s the way it has to be.

And as I said, the more powerful it is, the less likely it is that we’ll ever have to use it. But it will soon be more powerful than ever before.

Today, we reaffirm that a strong America remains the best way to prevent conflict, promote peace, preserve freedom, and protect our great people. Together, we unite behind a noble mission: to shield our country with the greatest missile defense systems anywhere on the face of the Earth.

I want to thank you again to the men and women of the American Armed Forces. Special, special people. And the citizens of our country know that and acknowledge that, far more so than you would ever know. We have the greatest military at any time soon in the history of the world.

I want to just finish my saying I appreciate your service. You’re incredible people. God bless you, and God bless America. Thank you very much. Thank you. (Applause.)

Five Eyes Leverage – Europe Imposes Steel Tariffs on China…

In November of last year the New York Post interviewed President Trump asking specifically why he was not declassifying “spygate” documents, and inquiring about the purpose for his reluctance.  President Trump responded: “Maybe it’s better that the public not see what’s been going on with this country.”  Many people were disappointed, but its always been President Trump’s primary MAGA agenda to focus on economic security.

As the president has repeatedly stated: “economic security is national security.”  And with that cornerstone as the foundation, any evidence of a ‘Five-Eye’ ally participating in the scheme against Trump becomes leverage.  Cue the example:

EUROPE – European officials said today they will make tariffs on steel imports to the region permanent to help stem the glut of supply sparked by Donald Trump’s trade war against China.

The move highlights that protectionism is spreading and Donald Trump’s trade war with China is entrenching itself into the global economy.

The EU will impose quotas on 26 product categories and levy a 25% duty on imports exceeding those quotas, the executive arm said on Wednesday. The move cements proposals laid out last July with the stated aim of protecting European steelmakers amid Chinese overcapacity.

[…] The European auto manufacturers association ACEA said it was “extremely disappointed” and called the measures protectionist, citing statistics showing that steel exports to the US had only dropped marginally, meaning little extra steel was being imported to Europe.

“These measures do not take into account the needs of downstream users of steel, such as the automotive sector,” it said in a statement.  (read more)

A reminder from last year.

[…] President Trump has fifty years of business skills in various predatory and adversarial financial deals.  Leverage, or the ability to force an opponent to take an action that benefits your position, is the most valuable weapon in deals; business or politics the same is true.

This type of leverage is extremely valuable and it’s not just against Democrats, Obama and the Never Trump alliance (ie. Sea Island group).  President Trump is in a fight against multiple enemies from all sides, across all aisles and political alignments.  The declassification leverage is like an atomic hammer that strikes everyone in a 360° blast radius.

And it is not limited to domestic adversaries.  This leverage has a geopolitical value.

Think about geopolitical trade deals with Five-Eyes allies.  Think about how President Trump may need an ally to take a position adverse to their preferred interests. The potential for declassification of intelligence documents showing complicit corruption within the U.K. and Australia could destroy politicians external to the U.S.

Think about an ally being asked to take a position on China (trade), Iran (sanctions), Russia (energy), etc.  Movement on any of these geopolitical issues, and many more, can be tilted -in part- based on the threat of sunlight or declassification. Leverage is a tool.

Getting particular democrats to support the USMCA; what’s that worth?

Getting a southern border wall and sensible immigration law; what’s that worth?

What does President Trump value?  What is important to him?

What part of the transactional relationship can be enhanced by leverage?   Pro-tip: it’s not personal; it is not leverage to benefit Trump personally; he doesn’t care about that shallow stuff… his view of the horizon is much longer, much further; much more consequential.

It annoys the heck out of many people, me included, that Donald Trump is willing to absorb so much inbound fire, unnecessarily; which, by extension, means that his supporters are forced to absorb so much inbound and unnecessary fire; but he is.

What is President Trump’s primary objective?   Save the U.S.A. through economics.

Economic security is national security.

I think much of our angst is because we look too short-term; and the media does a great job of convincing us President Trump is selfish.  Perhaps they are correct. Perhaps I’m wrong; but I see this leverage issue as something Trump views as important – obviously; or he wouldn’t approach it that way.

Would President Trump trade a $500 billion per year positive benefit to the U.S. economy in exchange for never outlining the fraud against him?

Would President Trump accept new jobs for a million Americans in exchange for never outlining the 2016 fraud against him?

Yeah.

He would.

Without question.

And he wouldn’t care if it meant he could never win in 2020.

He ain’t a politician.

Piss you off?

Probably.

That’s Trump.

All of those resistance “politicians” and their schemes, ploys, games and strategies are annoying gnats.  Nothing more.  President Trump’s MAGA agenda is the primary focus. That agenda is bigger, much bigger and far more consequential, than their obstruction.

All of the collective political gnat activity is less than.

Curiouser – Oleg’s ‘Sparrow’ Anastasia Vashukevich Arrested in Moscow….

Anastasia Vashukevich (27) is the Russian woman connected to Oleg Deripaska who was being held in a prison in Thailand under charges of recruiting women to act as prostitutes and escorts.  [Backstory]  Her name surfaced early in 2018 when CNN claimed she had dirt on Trump and “tapes” of some sort relating to Deripaska and his activities with contacts around the 2016 election.  [More Backstory]

While the outlandish aspects to the storyline pushed by initial media appeared ridiculous; there was something about Ms. Vashukevich’s connections to the larger Deripaska story that also appeared valid.  Ms. Vashukevich has been held in Thailand for almost a year.

Last week the Thai government agreed to release Ms. Vashukevich.  Today she was en route to Belarus when she was intercepted in Moscow:

A model from Belarus who claimed to have recordings shedding light on the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia was detained at a Moscow airport Thursday on prostitution allegations, the police said.

The model, Anastasia Vashukevich, had been deported from Thailand earlier in the day after spending nine months in prison on charges of conspiracy and soliciting prostitution.

She was booked to fly to Minsk, Belarus, but was detained along with three others traveling with her as she changed planes at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport, according to her husband and another person traveling with her.

No evidence has emerged of the tape that Vashukevich claimed showed contacts between Trump campaign officials and Russians. Her arrest in Moscow was unexpected and blocked her from possibly talking to dozens of journalists waiting for her in the airport’s arrivals zone. (read more)

As the larger story around Deripaska has unfolded, in hindsight we can connect some dots that may just explain what is going on.

Russian Billionaire Oleg Deripaska, a former business associate of Paul Manafort, is a central figure in the 2016 DOJ/FBI targeting of President Trump.

In September of 2016 the FBI approached Deripaska in New York and asked him to participate in the FBI operation now known as Crossfire Hurricane. {Go Deep}

Oleg laughed off the FBI request but through his lawyers and representatives maintained frequent contacts with FBI/DOJ officials, and some U.S. politicians.  His primary motive was/is his business interests.

Here’s what I think happened.

It now seems certain that Ms. Anastasia Vashukevich was with Oleg Deripaska around the time all of the 2016 activity was taking place.  That activity included calls and contacts from various people in U.S. government (FBI, DOJ and intelligence apparatus) and his own network of interests (Adam Waldman, Christopher Steele, etc).

Given the proximity and the timing, I believe Ms. Vashukevich likely did overhear some details of communications Deripaska was having about Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, the 2016 election, the FBI, and the aggregate IC effort to influence the 2016 election.  Did Anastasia actually gain recordings? Likely, NO.  However, did she likely hear conversations?  That’s a resounding YES.

Were Deripaska’s affiliates (lawyers etc), and Deripaska himself, likely recording conversations with U.S. intelligence people? Yes.  It would be silly not to given the history of the U.S. intelligence community burning their resources after usefulness is exhausted. [Deripaska himself experienced this] Keeping a record of conversations as an insurance policy therein is not a stretch.

When Vashukevich was arrested in Thailand; and especially when she tried to leverage her exit from her legal trouble through the claim of tapes etc; it’s likely Deripaska (and the U.S. intel community) viewed her incarceration as beneficial.  She couldn’t cause trouble. So Oleg left her in Bangkok. [If a Russian billionaire wanted to get a woman out of prison in Bangkok, it would not be difficult]

Keep in mind all of the 2016 fraudulent “Muh Russia” narrative creation was happening in the background and candidate Trump is oblivious to it.  FISA’s on Carter Page; intel operations again George Papadopoulos; running Five-Eyes spies (Tawil, Halper etc.) against the campaign; and the requests of Deripaska for assistance therein; all of it was happening in the background.  Ms. Vashukevich would only hear a flicker of it at the time.

Additionally, as we noted, the real risk to the corrupt DOJ and FBI officials was if any of this was exposed.  Some of it has come to light over the past two years.

Now, think about this…. Yes, with Oleg Deripaska in the picture there was indeed Russian meddling in the 2016 election; only, it wasn’t the type of meddling being sold by U.S. media….. The FBI/DOJ has approached Russian Deripaska to frame their Russian conspiracy narrative. It is almost a certainty that Deripaska, through an intermediary, was one of Chris Steele’s sources for the dossier.  [Steele previously worked for Deripaska.]

Now, put yourself in Deripaska’s shoes and think about what happens AFTER candidate Donald Trump surprisingly wins the 2016 election.  All of a sudden Deripaska the asset becomes a risk to the corrupt Scheme Team (DOJ/FBI et al); especially as the DOJ/FBI then execute the “insurance policy” effort against Donald Trump…. and eventually enlist Robert Mueller.

It is entirely possible for a Russian to be blackmailing someone, but it ain’t Trump vulnerable to blackmail; it’s the conspiracy crew within the DOJ, FBI, intelligence apparatus and even some significant politicians.  Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska now has blackmail material on Comey, McCabe and crew that he can leverage for his own business interests.

In 2017 Oleg Deripaska was represented in the U.S. by Adam Waldman.  Mr. Waldman was also representing Christopher Steele, the author of the Dossier.  Waldman was the liaison Senator Mark Warner (Vice-Chair Senate Intelligence Committee) was using to try and set up a secret meeting with Christopher Steele. {Text Messages}

Adam Waldman and Oleg Deripaska

As you can see from the text messages (more here), the House Intelligence Committee wanted to interview Deripaska.  However, based on their ongoing contact and relationship Deripaska’s lawyer, Adam Waldman, asks Senate Intelligence Committee Vice-Chair Mark Warner for feedback.

Oleg Deripaska was blocked from testifying to congress.  Now, it was obviously not from the HPSCI (Nunes Committee), but rather by the Senate Intel Committee, via Vice-Chair Senator Mark Warner.  Oh yes, THAT “no paper trail” senator, Mark Warner, again.

This, all of this, is the stuff happening at the time Ms. Anastasia Vashukevich is traveling with Oleg Deripaska.

What becomes clear from all of this is that Anastasia Vashukevich was positioned as a Red Sparrow; a recruiting agent for prostitutes and escort workers – under the employ of Oleg Deripaska, likely using the sex trade as Russian trade-craft.

Anastasia Vashukevich was busted in Thailand for her recruiting efforts, as outlined in the media report.  Ms. Vashukevich tried to extricate herself from the trouble by leveraging her knowledge of the communication between Deripaska and Christopher Steele to the media.

It is entirely possible Ms. Vashukevich knew of recordings of Oleg Deripaska telling Steele, directly or through intermediaries, the ridiculous Trump-Russian-Hookers story; and she  was trying to leverage knowledge of those “tapes” as an exit from the Bangkok prison….. Which, given the current situation and collapsing narrative, would be embarrassing to multiple interests…. including U.S. officials…. who along with Deripaska would not want that to become public.

Now does Anastasia Vashukevich arrest in Moscow make sense?

Now does it make sense why the Washington Post, specifically The Washington Post, would be quick to frame the narrative?

[…]  Soon after her apparent connection to Deripaska came to light, Vashukevich and several Russians were arrested while conducting what she described as a sex training seminar for Russian tourists in the Thai resort town of Pattaya. In jail, she pleaded for U.S. help, saying she had recordings revealing ties between Russia and Donald Trump. (link)

President Trump Cancels Speaker Pelosi Overseas Trip…

President Trump stops military aircraft availability for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi just minutes ahead of a previously scheduled foreign trip.  Read below:

I would expect the Democrats will use a DNC billionaire donors’ private fleet.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg has Contracted Pneumonia

Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s while fighting cancer, has now contracted Pneumonia and is fighting for her life. From a purely cyclical perspective, there should be another appointment this year to the Supreme Court. Even on an average basis, since 1789 there have been 114 judges up to Brett Kavanaugh. That means at the very latest the next appointment would be in 2020. Ginsburg will fight til her last breath to try to deny Trump another appointment. That does not look to be plausible. She is 86 this year.

This is How the USA Will Collapse – Congress is Incapable to Ruling the Country

Believe it or not, member of Congress continue to get paid even when there is a shutdown on the basis that Congress refuses to fund the government. Elizabeth Warren has come out and stated that she will donate her salary during the shutdown. The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, is paid $223,500 per year. The Democrats fought to include a new top bracket raising it from $250,000 to $500,000 to reach 37% tax rate. It was embarrassing when you are earning close to $250,000 and you keep demonetizing the rich.

Of course, Congress is excluded from Obamacare. They get their own golden deals of unlimited care. That is worth more than $50,000 annually which they do not include in a salary.

So any wonder why the member of Congress can let a shutdown go on and on? Easy, they still get paid when everyone else does not. Nancy Pelosi reiterated that Democrats will not agree to a border wall but joked that she’d give Trump $1 for it.

They believe they can make Trump look like the bad guy here and the shutdown can be a long one indeed. They have dug in their heels and it is hard to see how they can back down now without losing face. The fact that the wall would be $5.7 billion and one week’s interest bill to keep rolling the debt comes in at $6.7 billion. This is simply a political standoff demonstrating that Congress has lost all civility and is incapable of managing the country going forward. There is no reversal in sight and we simply cascade in this death spiral into 2032. Perhaps now we can see that indeed the United States will cease to exist as we know it after 2032. The USA will be prone to separatist movements as well after 2024. That appears to be the target for absolute political disintegration

Ashen and Conflicted – Senator Schumer Discusses Private Meeting With AG Nominee William Barr…

Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer met privately with AG nominee William Barr earlier today.  At the conclusion of the meeting Senator Schumer addresses the media.

Schumer appears conflicted and confused as to how to describe his own highly political desires with the answers he received from Mr. Barr.  It does not appear Schumer was pleased with his overall inability to leverage control over the nominee; and that comes out in the early part of his statement.  That’s a good sign.  Watch:

.

The issue of how Mr. Barr would produce a summary document about the completed Mueller investigation is an aspect that deserves some clarity and discussion.

The best way to think about the Mueller report is to think about the local police department (detective or DA) doing an investigation on a subject and completing that task.

At the conclusion of the inquiry, if there is no determination of criminal wrongdoing, the investigator does not outline the investigation in a report to the general public.

The basic premise behind this standard process is simple.  Everyone is innocent unless they can be proven to be guilty.

If everyone who was ever investigated had the internal investigative material made public it would be profoundly unfair to the target.  It would be even more unfair if the investigator was allowed to frame a public report, with their own internal biases and innuendo, in lieu of their ability to find criminal wrongdoing.

Now amplify that simple fairness issue x 1,000 and consider how severely political federal investigators might produce such a document against their opposition.  It is easy to see how such a report can be weaponized for political benefit.  The weaponization and benefit is the goal of the current Democrat leadership.

However, specifically to address these issues, and in an attempt to remove the political weaponization possible within the special counsel statute, the DOJ framed the ending of a special counsel investigation such that a summary of investigative finding is delivered to the U.S. Attorney General, who then puts out a public statement (of sorts) describing the conclusion (the finding).

Pelosi, Schumer and the Democrats do not want William Barr to be able to write a summary, a public statement, based on the report delivered to him by Robert Mueller.

Instead, the Democrats want the report from Mueller, including all the investigative trails that were exhausted, so they can exploit aspects of the inquiry that were not able to be proven, and weaponize “innuendo” and “possibility” for political benefit.

Minority Leader Schumer is frustrated he cannot get Barr to accept that demand.

There is a slight parallel here to the position of those who are selling the honorable Rosenstein and Mueller origination angle.  This is where the “trust the plan” folks, align with the Epoch Times community of narrative engineers.

The Epoch Times engineering position, writ large, is that DAG Rod Rosenstein was seeking to protect President Trump when he appointed Robert Mueller.  It is into this engineering community where all the leaked congressional transcripts are being deposited.

In their Epoch collective opinion, after James Comey was fired, the highly corrupt Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe was about to launch a retaliatory counter-attack against the President using a new focus for the ongoing counterintelligence investigation.  Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein saw what McCabe was about to launch and removed his ability to do it by appointing Robert Mueller as special counsel to take over the originating investigation.

According to this viewpoint, Rosenstein saved President Trump from the wrath of McCabe by appointing Mueller (May, 2017).

Following that perspective…. Seeing the overt weaponization of the FBI, the DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz was then guided to begin targeting inquiry toward Andrew McCabe and the “small group” more aggressively (June through November 2017).  This led to the December 2017 revelations behind the activities of the small group (James Comey, Jim Rybicki, Andrew McCabe, Jim Baker, Michael Kortan, Lisa Page, Peter Strzok, Bruce Ohr etc.)

The parallel here is that William Barr’s current position, perspective and intent with the Mueller report; if you follow the ‘trust-the-plan’ crew;  is similar to the position, perspective and intent held by DAG Rod Rosenstein when he cut McCabe off at the knees.  [McCabe, Baker, Kortan and Strzok obviously fired; and Page quit.]

However, what this “honorable Rosenstein” view fails to reconcile is the predicate, the essential false underpinning of the entire Mueller probe.  Also, the ridiculous aspect of Russian indictments that Rosenstein knows are entirely manufactured for political optical value only.  [See: the Concord fiasco and the Russian woman posting memes.]

If Rosenstein was aware what the corrupt crew of DOJ and FBI officials were doing, he damned sure didn’t do anything about it, quite the opposite.  If he was aware of how corrupt FBI officials were targeting their political opposition… why did Rosenstein direct all attention away from that truth?  Why permit the DOJ and FBI to redact text messages between Page and Strzok when there was/is no legal basis to redact the text messages between Page and Strzok (merely one example).

I can find no action by FBI Director Chris Wray (Rosenstein selection), Deputy Director David Bowdich or Legal Counsel Dana Boente, that has addressed the internal corruption identified throughout their institution.  Quoting the IG Report:

Instead of exposing the issues, what we can clearly see is an effort to avoid discussing and exposing that corruption at all costs.

Leaked Transcript #4 – George Papadopoulos Witness Testimony Leaked to Epoch Times…

Another day, another leaked congressional transcript.  This time George Papadopoulos.

(You Can Read Here)

Once again the actual transcript is not released, only the Epoch Times authors’ interpretations of the content of the leaked transcript. *Note* the author, Ivan Pentchoukov, does not reveal the name of the “alleged spy”.

Previous leaked transcripts from:

  1. Lisa Page
  2. Andrew McCabe
  3. Bruce Ohr

Three congressional committees have requested the release of witness transcripts.  HPSCI via Devin Nunes (September 2018); and the joint House Judiciary/Oversight committee (December 2018).  Congressional allies of President Trump (Nunes, Jordan, Meadows and Collins) are being blocked by DOJ/FBI officials within the current administration. So each side in the DOJ/FBI corruption story is currently leaking to advance their interests.

Also watch a version with German voiceover. https://youtu.be/CAJTI9DWPP8 Reason for making this video: answering the “New eyes” call. Changed my Twitter handle to @StormIsUponUs. The other was an old recycled account that I wasn’t expecting to blow up. Quick note: many people are reporting this video not available. This is just another word for censored. Download it locally, mirror it, put it up on your own channel, whatever you want. It’s not like I filmed all that footage. Others have asked to donate. NO. We work only for freedom. There are people taking bullets for the republic, the least we can do is scramble whatever talents we have to ensure their sacrifices are not in vain. The good people of America, Left and Right, Democrat and Republican, White or of color, young and old, are witnessing the take-back of America from a large number of very powerful criminals who have been destroying society and the world for several decades, maybe longer. This is the greatest story of our time. You have the choice of either scratching your head in confusion when seeing events unfold, or looking at the information provided by Q to understand the real story. These are people I trust to bring you the right information. Don’t be a sheep. They want you divided. They have been working to divide us forever. It’s time to wake up and experience true freedom instead of the fake kind we have been living under. The good guys, with control over the NSA, began the Q intelligence dissemination program to invoke an online grassroots movement that came to be called “The Great Awakening”. It started on underground internet channels, then moved to the mainstream. Q has been a fun distraction for those who follow world events and desire truth, but it is about to begin a much more important and necessary phase – keeping the public informed when the Deep State war breaks out onto the surface. By this, I mean high-profile arrests. Yes folks. The criminals I am referring to are famous politicians, actors, singers, CEOs and celebrities. People who have earned our trust, respect and admiration. They have done very bad things that are all fully known and documented, and they will be severely punished. Those of us who have followed Q since the beginning will be here to help you make sense of the coming events. We are among the first to realize that our petty partisan divisions are just trivial distractions, and we are all enslaved by a hidden enemy. We realize that the problem was never Capitalism or Socialism, Democrat or Republican, black or white, Muslim or Christian. We know it was just very powerful criminals who had too much power and were crushing us under debt and asinine entertainment, Fellow slaves. It’s time to buckle your seatbelt, recognize your true enemy, and embrace a new future that we all owe to the brave patriots who risked their lives to achieve this victory against the greatest force of evil the world has ever seen.

Chairman Lindsey Graham Has Every Confidence in AG Nominee William Barr…

Chairman Graham is very happy with the nomination of William Barr as U.S. Attorney General.  It would appear purposeful Barr will re-balance the DC interests, and return the DOJ to a more ordinary level of corruption.  In this way Barr pushes back the fulcrum tilting the DOJ away from the more violent weaponized lean in the past eight years.
