Blue Bloods Have Gone Oprah!
We’ve dropped this leftist travesty forever, and are now enjoying both reruns and new episodes of the quite fabulous and compelling Chicago PD!
Re-posted from the Canada Free Press By Joan Swirsky —— Bio and Archives—April 18, 2020
Among the TV shows I gravitate to with my husband Steve, a former athlete, include live baseball, basketball and football games, historical documentaries, and both true crime shows and crime dramas like Law & Order, Forensic Files, Chicago PD, and Blue Bloods––all studies in the greatest mystery of all time, human behavior. When Blue Bloods debuted in September 2010, we thought it was excellent, featuring in-depth and provocative episodes, and at last embodying the conservative values we embraced, including a distinct lack of the three-legged stool on which Progressives base their so-called values: moral relativism, political correctness, and multiculturalism.
The show is about the Reagan dynasty in NY City, where the following characters are presented every week with daunting challenges, moral dilemmas, high-action chases and arrests, and touching family dramas:
- Frank Reagan, a widower and the New York Police Department (NYPD) Commissioner, played by Tom Selleck.
- His father Henry Reagan, also a widower and a former NYPD Commissioner, played by Len Cariou.
- Frank’s son Danny, played by Donnie Wahlberg, a tough, street-smart detective, and his partner Maria Baez (played by Marisa Ramirez). Danny was happily married to R.N. Linda (played by Amy Carlson) before her death, and they were the parents of two sons played by real-life brothers Andrew and Tony Terraciano.
- Frank’s daughter Erin, played by Bridget Moynihan, a letter-of-the-law Bureau Chief in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and divorced mother of daughter Nicky (played by Sami Gayle). Erin works closely with Anthony Abetemarco, a detective in the D.A.’s office (played by Steve Schirripa).
- Frank’s son Jamie, played by Will Estes, a Harvard Law School graduate who chose to become a street cop, promoted to sergeant, and then married to his NYPD partner––a beautiful blonde from a decidedly dysfunctional background––“Eddie” Janko, played by Vanessa Ray.
- Frank’s Chief of Staff, Garrett Moore, who is also the NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Public Information, played by Gregory Jbara.
- I cannot omit the very gorgeous and fabulous actress Abigail Baker who plays Commissioner Reagan’s chief aide as Detective Abigail Hawk.
Suffusing the drama is the Commissioner’s late son Joe, an NYPD detective who was murdered by a corrupt gang of police officers and whose memory continues to haunt the Reagan family.
THE OLD FORMAT
Every week for the past many years, all these characters presented compelling and original drama with episodes addressing themes such as the unreliability of eyewitnesses, the difficulty of identifying sociopaths, the nefarious inner workings of the New York mafia, the dangers of nepotism within the ranks, the reluctance of sexual assault victims to come forward, the complexity of solving murder cases, on and on and on.
In every episode, it was clear that the protagonists––members of the NYPD from the top on down––knew the difference between right and wrong, good and bad, legal and illegal.
Right was the teenage kid from the projects who resisted following his thug friends into a life of crime; wrong were the thugs who chose a life of crime, including robbery, rape and murder.
Good were the people who yearned for a safe neighborhood coming forward to identify the bad guys, in spite of great risk to themselves and their families; bad were the drug dealers and corrupt politicians who covered for the bad guys.
Legal were the follow-the-rules cops who crossed every “t” and dotted every “I”; bad were the on-the-take judges who ruled against them.
Riveting. Illuminating. Thought-provoking. Influential. Worthy of our time.
THE OLD VALUES
Among the most refreshing qualities of the show was––not is––the great respect the children and grandchildren exhibited toward their father, the Commissioner, and their grandfather, the former Commissioner.
Every week, viewers were treated to the Reagan clan gathering around a huge dining-room table for a sumptuous dinner consisting of platters of roast turkey and roast beef, mountains of salad and vegetables, and heaping portions of baked and mashed potatoes, where one or another member of the family would say Grace before the meal, thank their Lord Jesus Christ for their bounty, make the sign of the Cross, and in unison say Amen.
While serious discussions and good-humored kidding took place around the table, philosophical disagreements also abounded. Yes, quizzical looks and raised eyebrows and even scowls were evinced, but there was always a refreshing absence of the dismissive, rude, hostile and insulting behavior and the repulsively foul language we’ve become accustomed to in shows ranging from newscasts to award shows to daytime talk shows to “Housewives” dramas. And there was never any sign or sight of an iPhone!
RATINGS DON’T LIE
According to Wikipedia, the pilot episode 10 years ago garnered 15,246 million viewers, and the ratings remained sky-high for about seven seasons. But from season eight on, the ratings began to plunge, with season nine seeing the lowest in the show’s history.
No mystery to me, as the Blue Bloods audience witnessed this once-terrific show go Oprah––turning into both a social service and finger-wagging forum designed to set Commissioner Frank Reagan and his unenlightened family straight, to teach them the Progressive values that the leftist writers they hired wanted them to learn: how to be a moral relativist, a multiculturalist, a politically correct jerk.
CLUELESS WRITERS
It is abundantly clear that the current writers had never watched the show, had no idea about the rock-ribbed simpatico dynamics of the Reagan family, had contempt for the police, and had a deep loathing of the Christian religion and prayer and even the mention of Jesus.
Why else would they have the always respectful sons of Frank Reagan and their grandfather Henry speak to them with such antagonistic, disrespectful language? Why would they feature rookie and even senior policemen speak to the Commissioner in such brazenly inappropriate terms? Why would they completely eliminate the prayer before eating dinner and any reference to Jesus?
Why? I know nothing about corporate media or who calls the shots and ultimately determines content. But this is an all-important election year and we already see the Murdoch boys pushing their properties––The Wall St. Journal and Fox News, among others––in a distinctly leftward direction, so it’s not a far stretch to theorize that anti-Trump CBS-TV is also pushing their popular shows along the same route.
After all, why would they drag a veteran leftist, the seemingly dotty 90-year-old Ed Asner, out of his comfortable California home to star in a preposterous episode where the writers wasted our time watching Asner and his old friend Commissioner Reagan show off their knowledge of ancient movies?
Why? Clearly the writers want to make the Commissioner look like a regular guy, to reduce his gravitas, to make him less important.
Why would they feature the toughest guy in town, Commissioner Reagan, visiting the new Mayor of NYC––who told him the City needed a tougher P.R. person than Reagan’s longtime Chief of Staff Garrett Moore––and then portray the Commissioner as an emotional, conflicted, hand-wringing wuss over a simple executive decision?
Why? Again, an attempt by the writers to make the Commissioner look incapable of taking charge and getting something done––sort of like Congressmen Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) and Adam Schiff (D-CA).
Of course, the goal of the real wusses who are writing this junk is to convince the viewing public that they’ve been wrong all along about Blue Bloods, that what we should really believe is that the police are the problem, prayer is the problem, Jesus is the problem, and we should vote for all the leftwing candidates who believe this tripe.
As for me and Steve, we’ve dropped this leftist travesty forever, and are now enjoying both reruns and new episodes of the quite fabulous and compelling Chicago PD!
White House Trade Advisor Peter Navarro Discusses China’s Manipulation of WHO, and Use of Defense Production Act…
April 15, 2020
White House Manufacturing Trade Advisor Peter Navarro is also leading the execution of the Defense Production Act to rally American resources in combating the Wuhan Virus. In this interview Navarro discusses the scale of Beijing’s influence over the World Health Organization as a propaganda operation.
Interestingly Navarro notes the Chinese delegation visit in January 2020 and the issues of human-to-human virus spread. CTH has long suspected U.S. intelligence on the Wuhan virus was behind Trump’s proactive health measures in November 2019. It would make sense for POTUS to have a heart-health evaluation prior to beginning a prophylactic regimen [hint hydroxychloriquine] and that might explain a particular advocacy emphasis later on. Just sayin’.
Additionally, Navarro again outlines the importance of returning our critical U.S. manufacturing back to the United States. Honeywell now making masks and GM making ventilators. Peter Navarro is a patriot; in the right place for this moment in history.
President Trump Announces OPEC+ Agreement to Limit Oil Production…
April 12, 2020
Though the U.S. and Canada are not part of the “OPEC Plus” group, President Trump has been leading negotiations between Saudi Arabia and Russia to broker a deal and stop their price war. Today President Trump announces an agreement between the major petroleum exporting countries to curb oil production by approximately 10 million barrels per day:
Additionally, there was a loggerhead within the negotiations as Mexico did not want to cut their production by the requested amount of 400,000 barrels daily. Mexico relies on oil as a large part of their economy. AMLO stated his economy could not withstand such a significant drop in state revenue. Economic security is, after all, national security.
President Trump broke the OPEC+ stalemate by agreeing to decrease U.S. production by 300k/barrels allowing Mexico to drop a more manageable 100k/barrels. Trump and AMLO reached an undisclosed agreement where Mexico will reimburse the U.S. later on.
I suspect the “reimbursement” will be more, well, strategically geopolitical than financial. [*nudge-nudge*, *wink-wink*, *say-no-more/say-no-more*] President Trump has an uncanny knack of collecting leverage for later, more strategic, purposes. Just sayin’.
(VIA CNBC) […] Sunday’s emergency meeting — the second in four days — came as oil-producing nations scrambled to reach an agreement in an effort to prop up falling prices as the coronavirus outbreak continues to hammer demand. The agreement also ends a price war that broke out between Saudi Arabia and Russia at the beginning of March, which further pressured oil prices as each sought to gain market share.
The group, known as OPEC+, initially proposed cutting production by 10 million barrels per day — amounting to some 10% of global oil supply — on Thursday, but Mexico opposed the amount it was being asked to cut, holding up the final deal.
Talks continued on Friday when energy ministers from the Group of 20 major economies met, and while all agreed that stabilization in the market is needed, the group stopped short of discussing specific production numbers.
Under OPEC+’s new agreement, Mexico will cut 100,000 barrels per day, instead of the 400,000 barrels per day it had initially been asked to cut.
The 9.7 million barrels per day cut will begin on May 1, and will extend through the end of June. (read more)
With such a significant slow-down in global oil demand due to the coronavirus mitigation efforts, massive tanker ships have been loaded with oil and sit at sea awaiting the global economy to restart generating the need for their cargo.
Two Weeks Ago…. President Trump and Defense Secretary Esper announced a major deployment of U.S. military to interdict narcotics trafficking from Central America.
On the surface the effort to deploy naval assets to the Caribbean and southern pacific is justified based on intelligence drug cartels will exploit the coronavirus pandemic to ship more narcotics into the U.S.
However, in the bigger picture there’s also a likelihood the Chinese Communist Party would work with their geopolitical allies in Central American regimes to further weaken the U.S. during a time of increased vulnerability.
In times of war, or severe geopolitical confrontation, exploiting a vulnerability is a common strategy. Therefore it’s a smart and prudent geopolitical move for President Trump and U.S. military to take very aggressive action against the cartels and their communist sympathizers. There’s more going on here than appears on the surface.
Ergo, sometime in the future…
Barr: “The president is very thankful for your cooperation“…
AMLO: “So you’re saying this is an offer I cannot refuse?“..
Barr: “The President is very thankful for your cooperation“…
WHO Feeds the Dragon?
What do you think “folks”? Who feeds the dragon?
By Joanna Rosamond —— Bio and Archives—April 8, 2020
The number of dangerous “imports” from China has been growing steadily. For years reports on toxic food and products have been swept under the mainstream media’s magic carpet and global outbreak alerts have been normalized by “…in a land far, far away…” fairy tales. The Virus
Yep, it originated in China. Right now the only legitimate complaint about the name of the virus could come from producers of Corona beer who have already lost more than $161 million in sales. While the leftist likes of an U.S Rep. with Chinese Facebook account flaunt their allergy to facts and lament “word xenophobia” , millions of people are paying the price for the newest “import”. The confined human “mass” doesn’t need to study Information Manipulation Theory (McCornack, 1992) to realize that “given information” provided them with a false perception of a deadly problem. Already in 2002 severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) spread “unverified” to 37 countries. Ever since 2001, WHO’s disease outbreaks news from China juggled influenza A (H5N1) virus and SARS reports, not to mention alerts on “melamine-contaminated powdered infant formula”, streptococcus suis (a swine pathogen that causes meningitis, sepsis, pneumonia and endocarditis) and polio virus.
Toxic “Goods”
Affiliates of Chinese business in the USA and Europe clearly do not worry about customer trust and believe in raiding retail spaces and bombarding shoppers with no matter how harmful (but cheap) products. It’s not only about imposition of weird Chinese sizes and silly “translation” from Amazon: you could be purchasing a radioactive drywall or an “all-American” lead tainted toy for your kid. With lack of well-deserved penalty for false “Made in the USA” labels we can expect more than “Only American Hockey Puck” to show its true Chinese colors. To add insult to the long list of “unfair and deceptive acts” two California based manufacturers “forgot” to inform American soldiers and Veterans that funds from sales of deployment bags and other gear marketed for them (including American flag…) were feeding the dragon.
The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has already caused war-like civilian casualties and disruption to economic activity world-wide. Some will deliberate on “pardonable” negligence; those who run towards the danger long enough not to believe in coincidences will consider coercive diplomacy or a leak from Wuhan’s lab. We are entering an era not only of hardship, but also of a great responsibility. Honorable leaders will have a duty of taking counsel from our best military erudites, we the people will have the task of supporting leaders who want to bring production of our meds, clothes and food back home; the leaders willing to make America, and the world—safe again. In his tweet from the 7th of April, 2020 President Trump rightly concluded “W.H.O really blew it”.
And yep, I do hope that “We will be giving that a good look”. And nope, I do not hate Chinese people; as a matter of fact I think that Dr. Li Wenliang deserves Nobel Prize more than a toxic politician.
What do you think “folks”? Who feeds the dragon?
Trump’s Main Street Marshall Plan
Some call small businesses the backbone of the American economy
Re-Posted from the Canada Free Press By Dr. Robert R. Owens —— Bio and Archives—April 7, 2020
How it was:Basking in the glow of renewed freedom birthed through the Trump era tax cuts and the President’s massive reversal of the regulation noose that’s strangled America for the past three years, small-business success has achieved record highs. The best economy in half a century unleashed by the lower taxes and fewer regulations inspired small businesses to hire more employees, to pay higher wages, and then to reinvest its capital.
This pandemic is what historians call a black swan event. It came out of nowhere and changed our perceptions forever. But having said that, the same conditions of lower taxes and less regulation still exist. Though currently stifled by the stay-at-home orders and self-quarantees this period of confinement and artificial limits is building a tsunami of pent-up demand.
As one of America’s main employers, the Small Business Administration tells us Main Street is the engine of our economy. Here are some facts about small businesses in America today:
- There are almost 21.5 million (90%) small businesses in the United States
- Small businesses are responsible for 39 percent of GNP.
- Small businesses are responsible for 52 percent of all U.S. sales and contribute about 21 percent of all manufactured U.S. exports.
- Small businesses contribute 44 percent of all sales in the country.
- Small businesses employ 54.4 million people, about 57.3 percent of the private workforce.
Some call these small businesses the backbone of the American economy. In this time of national sacrifice and emergency they deserve a government that addresses their needs.
Paycheck Protection Program
What’s been done:
In response to this crisis Congress passed, and the President signed the largest direct assistance program in American history. This, the third major bill in a month includes a novel plan for small businesses. Instead of just tax incentives or emergency loans hidden behind a hedge of bureaucracy it seeks to deliver right-now-relief through the Paycheck Protection Program.
One way to express this effort calls to mind one of the most successful government programs of all time. This is Trump’s Main Street Marshall Plan.
Through the Paycheck Protection Program businesses with fewer than 500 employees (including startups, sole proprietors, and the self-employed) can receive 100% federally guaranteed loans for eight weeks. Then if the loan is used to pay employees, rent, or utilities, or rehire employees who were laid off due to the virus, the loan is forgiven. The loan term is from February 15 to June 30.
This revolutionary piece of legislation saves small businesses the endless hassle of navigating the bewildering maze of the government bureaucracy which normally stands between citizens and government emergency relief. With this innovative plan small business owners can work with their local bank or any lender backed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. This includes farmers. Those who feed the world can work with the same farm credit institutions they’re familiar with, the ones they already know and trust. All this without any bureaucrats in between the lenders and the borrowers.
The coronavirus pandemic is the greatest crisis as a nation we have faced in the lifetime of most Americans
American small businesses can take advantage of these loans right now, the sooner the better. The applications for these loans are located on the Treasury Department website.
The goal of the Paycheck Protection Program is to ensure small businesses are ready to relaunch as soon as America reopens for business. This act seeks to keep Main Street afloat by providing direct relief for small businesses and keeping tens of millions of workers on the payroll.
The coronavirus pandemic is the greatest crisis as a nation we have faced in the lifetime of most Americans. We have a great cheerleader in President Trump. He strives day in and day out to raise our spirits and to lead us out of this dire scenario straight back to prosperity and peace.
What to do:
Having said all this, I have to share my belief that government, even one that is being led by the greatest crisis manager of modern times, is not the answer to America’s problems. Only God can bring salvation whether we’re talking about an individual or a nation.
He once told us, “if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” And since God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, we can still claim that promise. Besides He also told us, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
Trust God and He’ll bring us through. Some may say, “What if we follow that advice and we catch the virus and die anyway?” All I can say is if we die trusting God, no matter what the reason, we sure will be healed then.
Kayleigh McEnany Replaces Stephanie Grisham As Press Secretary…
April 7, 2020
It appears new White House chief of staff Mark Meadows is making a few communications changes. White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham will be returning to the East Wing as First Lady Melania Trump’s chief-of-staff. Kayleigh McEnany will be replacing Grisham as Press Secretary.
[Politico] […] Alyssa Farah, a top Defense Department spokeswoman and former press secretary for Vice President Mike Pence, will also come aboard as the White House’s director of strategic communications.
Ben Williamson, Meadows’ former chief of staff and communications director, who will be Trump’s senior communications adviser. Farah also has a Meadows connection, previously serving as the communications director for the conservative House Freedom Caucus when Meadows, a former North Carolina lawmaker, was the caucus’s chairman. NEC Director Larry Kudlow Discusses Economic Impact of Coronavirus…
March 16, 2020
National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow discusses what economic options the U.S. government has to mitigate and assist businesses and individuals dealing with the financial impacts of coronavirus.
.
Note to Mr. Kudlow: Do not trust Dr. Anthony Fauci.
Fauci is a purposeful panic seller. His goals are not the administrations goals.
The Blame Game Trump vs Xi Jinping

Most communists do not believe in God. Their god is the ‘state.’ The state can do no wrong—it is both omniscient and omnipotent. It is perfect and incapable of mistakes. Heretics who doubt communism can face gulags or a bullet in the back of the head. In China, Mao starved millions of his own citizens for the good of the state. Nowadays, Chinese dissidents might even face having their organs ripped out of them. The state feels no guilt about any of this. After all, they consider humans to be data at best and at worst mere blobs of matter who are there to carry out the will of the state. The citizens must also pretend to be happy about it.
The problem with the perfect state of communism is the lies. The Soviet Union lied about nuclear technology and that led to the Chernobyl disaster. The current Chinese Communists are lying about the release of a bioweapon from one of their labs in Wuhan. The ChiComs must present themselves as incapable of error, so they’re now blaming the United States military for the virus. The ChiComs consider themselves to be perfect, therefore they will never admit a mistake. They never accept blame. Being wrong is a sign of weakness.
President Trump realized the United States has been wrong about trade with China. The US has become far too dependent on China for pharmaceuticals, for example. The ChiComs are now threatening to cut them off. It’s time to bring manufacturing back to America and that’s just what Trump wants to do. If we don’t do that, we’ll only have ourselves to blame.

President Trump Proclaims Sunday March 15th A National Day of Prayer….
March 14, 2020
[White House] ~ A PROCLAMATION~
In our times of greatest need, Americans have always turned to prayer to help guide us through trials and periods of uncertainty. As we continue to face the unique challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic, millions of Americans are unable to gather in their churches, temples, synagogues, mosques, and other houses of worship.
In this time we must not cease asking God for added wisdom, comfort, and strength, and we must especially pray for those who have suffered harm or who have lost loved ones. I ask you to join me in a day of prayer for all people who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and to pray for God’s healing hand to be placed on the people of our Nation.
As your President, I ask you to pray for the health and well-being of your fellow Americans and to remember that no problem is too big for God to handle. We should all take to heart the holy words found in 1 Peter 5:7: “Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you.” Let us pray that all those affected by the virus will feel the presence of our Lord’s protection and love during this time. With God’s help, we will overcome this threat.
On Friday, I declared a national emergency and took other bold actions to help deploy the full power of the Federal Government to assist with efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
I now encourage all Americans to pray for those on the front lines of the response, especially our Nation’s outstanding medical professionals and public health officials who are working tirelessly to protect all of us from the coronavirus and treat patients who are infected; all of our courageous first responders, National Guard, and dedicated individuals who are working to ensure the health and safety of our communities; and our Federal, State, and local leaders.
We are confident that He will provide them with the wisdom they need to make difficult decisions and take decisive actions to protect Americans all across the country. As we come to our Father in prayer, we remember the words found in Psalm 91: “He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”
As we unite in prayer, we are reminded that there is no burden too heavy for God to lift or for this country to bear with His help. Luke 1:37 promises that “For with God nothing shall be impossible,” and those words are just as true today as they have ever been.
As one Nation under God, we are greater than the hardships we face, and through prayer and acts of compassion and love, we will rise to this challenge and emerge stronger and more united than ever before. May God bless each of you, and may God bless the United States of America.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim March 15, 2020, as a National Day of Prayer for All Americans Affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic and for our National Response Efforts. I urge Americans of all faiths and religious traditions and backgrounds to offer prayers for all those affected, including people who have suffered harm or lost loved ones.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fourteenth day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and forty-fourth.
