President Trump, Ultraviolet Light and Mr. Karl

If ABC News wants to maintain a shred of professional credibility, his manager needs to remove Jon Karl from the White House assignment immediately

President Trump, Ultraviolet Light and Mr. Karl
This weekend Clarice Feldman of American Thinker looked at how the ‘Trump wants people to swallow bleach’ myth came about. Her article, Virus Strikes Media Dumb, prompted some thoughts.

According to Clarice, last Thursday’s press conference was just this week’s edition of how to

“refashion news on the Wuhan virus to attack the President. As been the case from the beginning, the press is using every foul means to demean him and make this the Trump Virus, ignoring his measured approach and successes.”

“This week they glommed onto his remarks in a presser that revealed the contagion curve is flattening and diminishing to suggest that Trump had called for something as possible remediation—bleach injection—that he had not. In some cases, they flat-out lied about what he said. In others, they edited the presser video to achieve the same distortion.”

Here is the relevant discussion from that presser:

White House coronavirus task force briefing

Both bleach and ultraviolet light were among the virus “disinfectants”

“Bill Bryan, Under Secretary for Science and Technology at DHS, talked about the half-life of the coronavirus on surfaces like door handles and stainless steel surfaces, saying that when they “inject” UV rays into the mix along with high temperatures and increased humidity that the virus dies quickly. . . . [Bryan said] We’ve tested bleach, we’ve tested isopropyl alcohol on the virus, specifically in saliva or in respiratory fluids, and I can tell you that bleach will kill the virus in five minutes,” Bryan said. “Isopropyl alcohol will kill the virus in 30 seconds, and that’s with no manipulation, no rubbing. Just bring it on and leaving it go. You rub it and it goes away even faster.”

Bryan’s briefing mentions that both bleach and ultraviolet light were among the virus “disinfectants” (his word) that the DHS tested. But it was only the bleach that was tested on human fluids and proved effective at killing the virus in five minutes. Returning to the transcript, we next find President Trump stating the following:

“So, I’m going to ask Bill a question that probably some of you are thinking of if you’re totally into that world, which I find to be very interesting. So, supposing when we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. And I think you said you’re going to test that too. Sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute, one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful.”

Any reasonable person not utterly blinded by bias cannot avoid concluding that the President was talking about UV light

Another point we must notice is this: President Trump framed his question about ‘ultraviolet or very powerful light’ to make it clear that he was asking a question about that specific disinfectant and not any other tested therapy, including bleach. Although he would use the word “disinfectant” a few seconds later, the disinfectant he refers to cannot be bleach because he went on to say that the disinfectant he was thinking of “knocks it out in a minute, one minute.” According to Bryan, the disinfectant that knocks out the virus in one minute was not bleach, but UV light. President Trump confirms that UV light was the subject of his thought a few seconds later when he reiterates what he was talking about, which was “the light, the way it kills in one minute.”

From this, any reasonable person not utterly blinded by bias cannot avoid concluding that the President was talking about UV light. So how did the myth start?

First the negative. It is not yet widely known, but scientists have developed a catheter that emits UV light in a specific frequency that kills various bugs including the CCP virus. A short video showing how it is done is found on this Twitter post:

Steve Guest

@SteveGuest

AP: “Pre-clinical findings indicate the technology’s significant impact on eradicating… coronavirus.”

Watch how it works:

1,343 people are talking about this

Ultraviolet light inside the bodies of patients inflicted with respiratory infections

And here’s part of an AP Press release connected with the above story. AP announced on April 20th a novel treatment developed by scientists at Cedars-Sinai that administers ultraviolet light inside the bodies of patients inflicted with respiratory infections. The research team at Cedars-Sinai is currently working with the FDA to explore an expedited regulatory process to use the treatment as a possible medical intervention for those suffering from the Wuhan coronavirus.

(Via AP):

“[Aytu BioScience, Inc. (the “Company”)], a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on commercializing novel products that address significant patient needs announced today that it has signed an exclusive worldwide license from Cedars-Sinai to develop and commercialize the Healight Platform Technology (“Healight”). This medical device technology platform, discovered and developed by scientists at Cedars-Sinai, is being studied as a potential first-in-class treatment for coronavirus and other respiratory infections.”

“The Healight technology employs proprietary methods of administering intermittent ultraviolet (UV) A light via a novel endotracheal medical device. Pre-clinical findings indicate the technology’s significant impact on eradicating a wide range of viruses and bacteria, inclusive of coronavirus.”

Second, one of the journalists present either was not aware of this use of UV light, did not realize the subject of the President’s question, or misrepresented the President when he asked Mr. Bryan the following question:

“The President mentioned the idea of a cleaner, bleach and isopropyl alcohol emerging. There’s no scenario where that could be injected into a person, is there?”

Journalists are playing ‘gotcha’

Before I go on to analyze what happened here, it is important to notice something about journalists’ questions. Sometimes journalists ask questions with the intent to allow their respondents to clarify their positions. Sometimes people misunderstand this practice and think that journalists are playing ‘gotcha’ when they engage in it. That’s incorrect: this kind of questioning is a legitimate exploration of a topic; it offers the respondent the opportunity to clarify or expand on his or her views.

But that was not what this questioner intended. He did not ask his question of the President to elicit a clarification or further development of his views. He was neither speaking to the President nor was he accurately quoting him. President Trump had not mentioned bleach or isopropyl alcohol. Only Mr. Bryan had done that.

Growing up in a household where both parents were professional journalists, I learned early on that it is a fundamental rule of the profession that reporters must understand and correctly report the 5 W’s of a story (who, what, when, where, and why). By forgetting or not realizing that the “what” – the subject of President Trump’s specific reference – was “ultraviolet or very powerful light,” and by misattributing part of Mr. Bryan’s statement to President Trump, ABC’s Jon Karl committed two errors that would have shamed the greenest beginner and created yet another example of fake news.

This kind of fake news is dangerous because it misleads people. A smart friend of mine was watching the presser, and she gained the impression from Mr. Karl’s question that it sounded like the President was talking about bleach.

But in this specific case, the misleading could lead to worse results than confusing my friend. Mr. Karl’s misattribution could prove to be deadly. For if anyone were to gain the impression that the President was recommending drinking bleach, and then followed the recommendation and perished, it would be Mr. Karl, not President Trump, who would have their blood on his hands.

More than most outsiders, I know how difficult it is to do journalism responsibly and well. I also know how easy it is to make mistakes in this business. When the increasing pace of the news cycle robs reporters of the time the need to check their stories and their editors are forced by revenue shortages to lay off the copy editors whose job it is to catch errors, it is only reasonable to expect that mistakes will increase.

But neither of these problems can explain away the fact that Mr. Karl demonstrated that he is either monumentally incompetent – in getting his facts wrong at the most basic level known to the profession, or else deliberately malicious – in that he ignored inconvenient facts in an attempt to make President Trump look bad.

This fiasco raises an acute question: how can you trust a reporter’s competence after he makes either of these errors? The short answer is that you can’t. And having a reporter whose competence the audience can’t trust is a direct threat to any news organization’s credibility. If ABC News wants to maintain a shred of professional credibility, his manager needs to remove Jon Karl from the White House assignment immediately.

The West, Weak And Enslaved

“We’re Not On The Cusp Of Losing Our Freedom. Look Around, It’s Already Gone!””

The West, Weak And Enslaved

Can you seriously sing our national anthem with pride? Can you use the words “strong and free” when you’re prevented from working, your business is not essential, playgrounds are taped off, and parks are off limits? How do you feel about being told you’re a potential death trap for simply taking a walk? Do you not sense something sinister when you’re literally corralled and forced to wait to get into Walmart?

We are not free. In fact, we’re already being warned about a second wave of freedom eating viral doom. Our leaders, even those who ostensibly lead “conservative” governments, even in Canada like Premiers Doug Ford and Jason Kenney, have swallowed the magic model elixir and it’s gone straight to their heads. They’ve tasted true power, and they like it.

It isn’t protestors who are reckless, irresponsible, yahoos. Using fake model “predictions” to strip us of our rights is reckless, irresponsible, and thoroughly repugnant. The models were wrong, but they can’t let go of the absolute newfound powers the models are intentionally designed to deliver.

Be prepared, folks. My own model shows Tyranny is running their most successful playbook ever. Pick an invisible enemy, like CO2 or COVID-19, generate terrifying death predictions, have the media pump out panic porn, scare society to death, rule by decree to save us and shame all who disagree as reckless and irresponsible deniers.

The models are lies wrapped in science sounded by experts and capitalized on by political hacks.

The Truth In A Lie

There is much to be learned from a lie. We all understand that liars lie to gain some measure of benefit for themselves. It’s no big deal when that person is a golf buddy who makes liberal use of a foot wedge and fails to tally up penalty strokes, or the office braggart who is known for stretching the truth. You know they’re full of it but, in the grand scheme of things, they’re irrelevant. Their petty deceit has no impact on society.

That isn’t the case with our trusted information sources, the people and institutions we rely on to inform us on important matters because the consequences of acting on that information can impact every person in the country in significant, even serious, ways. Stay home, you leper!

Lies, Motivation, Money, Power

When writing software, the flow of information and control is directed with the use of statements that check for certain conditions. For example, IF Condition A is true THEN perform positive actions ELSE perform negative actions. Software will contain a multitude of these types of statements and for it to work correctly, the conditions must be checked in a specific and logical sequence.

The same principle holds when evaluating information as regards to truth versus lies. The fact of a lie comes before the motivation for the lie because the impact of false information is independent of any motivation behind it. Trusting a lie will corrupt your thinking. It has nothing to do with intelligence, it is a simple fact that the more lies you consume and trust, the more corrupt your perceptions will be.

The biggest mistake we can make is to first ask, does my trusted source have reason to lie? Well, no, they’re trusted, so therefore it’s the truth. Instead, first ask, is it a lie? If you can determine it was, the next question is, was the lie intentional? It’s quite possible your “trusted” source is simply regurgitating their own ignorance and is not intentionally trying to deceive you. However, the deceit still exists and will have a negative impact regardless.

If the lie was intentional, then you know the impact on your thinking was intentional, which means your source is attempting to gain some benefit over you, over all of us. Again, the exact motivation is moot, you know and fully understand that the deceit is not in your best interest. Scary, right?

As to motivation, once you’ve concluded the lie was intentional, the question to ask is, who benefits? The motivations will often reveal themselves, the main two being money and power.

How To Tell When The Deceit Is Intentional

The good news is that it is easy to detect intentional deceit, the hard part is accepting what that means. Consuming information is an intimate act because you are allowing people to influence your thoughts, perceptions, and beliefs. Intentional deceit is a gross violation of trust, and there are few acts viler.

Here are five ways to tell if your trusted source is honest enough to let into your mind.

Censorship: The problems with news censorship are obvious, you can’t know what you aren’t told. Censorship is an indicator that the position they want you to take is intellectually indefensible. Censorship is an insult to your intelligence and any institution or individual that promotes it is unworthy of you.

Conflation: Conflation occurs when two related, but distinct thoughts or ideas are merged into one. For instance, lumping illegal with legal when speaking to immigration policy. Other examples would include race and religion, colour and privilege, and guns and violence. Conflation has only one purpose, to confuse your thinking on the subject. This makes its use an intentional act of deceit.

Clipping: Clipping is typically characterized with the use of ellipses, which are utilized to indicate a quote has been shortened. When the shortened quote “reads” differently than the longer original, you’ve been had. Your source is smart enough to know they’ve changed the meaning of the quote, making it an intentional decision.

Cropping: Cropping is like clipping but for pictures and video. When skillfully done it can promote perceptions entirely at odds with the reality of the scene. For instance, a small crowd can be made to look impressively large. It is near impossible to tell that a picture has been cropped but should you come across a photo showing a fuller perspective which proves the cropped photo painted a false picture, then you know the deceit was intentional.

Caricature: Caricature is the interpretation of statements not as spoken but as filtered through one’s own misperceptions, or caricature, of the speaker. Simply compare the words placed into the speaker’s mouth with the actual statement made and if they don’t match, your source is revealing a pure, unadulterated bigotry that likely taints everything they spew.

Faith In The Fight For Freedom

The mainstream media and the tech giants all use the above tactics. The first step in the fight to regain our freedom is to accept the fact we’ve been deceived on a grand scale over a long period of time. How long? Your entire life.

The next is to have confidence in your ability to identify instances of deceit and then act accordingly. Those sources don’t need to be officially censored, they need to be studiously avoided or, if you can handle the lies, studied in an effort to determine their motivations. Regardless, trust is out of the question.

Now that you know their playbook you can anticipate what follows. Keep an eye out for the next attempt to use model “estimates’ as a brazen power grab. The odds of that model being a deliberately designed weapon are enormous

Be honest, freedom is at war with tyranny. The forces of evil are among us and they are having their way. We will need to find the courage to face our manufactured fears if we wish to live in liberty.

Considering where we already are, we may need to draw from a deeper well to find the right leaders and bolster our personal strength for the battle that lies ahead. Faith is the best source of courage in the face of fear. Faith in something bigger so now is a good time to ask God for the wisdom to identify tyranny and the inner strength to fight it.

There are only two choices moving forward; rebel or succumb.

Choose bravely, my friend, your children are depending on you.

WHO Tries to Dazzle People with Numbers – Not Reality

This is the WHO clip that the leftist newspapers are using to justify why we should remain locked down for Bill Gates’ 18 months. Besides, I think we will see a revolution by that time around the world. If you listen carefully, you will see the first speaker offer his opinion but does not mention any studies. This then shifts to the other doctor who then dazzles us by adding some 300 people to the death list in Wuhan, China, which has nothing to do with antibodies whatsoever. Blood tests in Germany have found 14% of the population is already immune to this virus.

After this totally unsupported claim against antibodies, the WHO has been forced to retract its statement. We really have to terminate this agency for what they have done amounts to a violation of the U.N.’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations itself. They are unprofessional, compromised, and warrant a serious criminal investigation.

The very foundation of LIBERTY is that the government has NO RIGHT to imprison people for their own safety. That is a personal decision. If someone is infected, then perhaps there is the authority to quarantine that person.

The United States should NOT fund the WHO. They should select an independent domestic entity that is PROHIBITED from accepting private donations. They must use models that are NOT dependent upon human presumptions, as was the case with Neil Ferguson who has justified destroying the world economy and refuses to accept any responsibility.

Comment From China

COMMENT: Dear Mr Armstrong,

Absolutely agree that the lockdown and social distancing will alter society profoundly. Notwithstanding the China’s government promoting inter-province movement, there is still lingering reluctance by the people to travel to Hubei province unless they have to. Apparently the narrative now on social media in China is to avoid Guangzhou because of some recent infection cases. This demonstrate the psychological impact on the population as a whole and the stigma of coming from the most affected province.

Just last week a friend whilst driving a car with Hubei province number plate (not even a Wuhan’s number plate) into a shopping complex car park in Guangzhou province, he was singled out for temperature checks whereas cars with local number plates are only randomly checked. And this occurred repeatedly in other car parks too.

The difference in China is that the government is actively promoting economic activities (work resumption) and integration whilst being on guard for cluster outbreaks. Local city councils had introduced cash vouchers lottery in shopping complexes to draw crowds. Restaurants are giving larger discounts than before.  E-commerce for agricultural products directly from farms to consumers are being promoted aggressively. Logistics are being prioritized. Auto sales are being promoted even by provincial governments by offering special discounts. In short all things about economic activities are being promoted.

For now, as you said economic sluggishness will likely to persist for a while because of the loss or reduction of income and reduced sales especially in the services sector. Major industrial firms’ profits fell 37% y-o-y for Q1 and is forecasted to fall 10% y-o-y for Q2. Certainly “close proximity” businesses are more affected than others. 9 million new graduates will enter the sluggish job market. Some bright spots are the 86 million trips booked for this 5 day May holiday which is higher than last year’s and the return to normalcy for Shanghai’s traffic. Shanghai and Wuhan traffic. Though Wuhan’s dine-in restaurants are the most affected, reports from friends are that restaurants in other less affected cities are returning to some semblance of normalcy though they have to offer bigger discounts to draw in the customers.

China has no illusions that cash handouts directly to the population (targeted group, yes) will be the answer. Instead they prioritize assisting businesses to survive as they provide employment. They understand CONFIDENCE is the key to promote economic activities. And I believe their understanding of this is reinforced over the years since your meeting with them in 1997.

It is human nature that it takes time for confidence to return. Thus the outcome of the post world-wide lockdown is also dependent on the regional population’s experience as well as the government’s policies.

Mr Armstrong, perhaps your influence in the acceleration of capitalism in China is much more than it is known.  How about having your books on “Economic Confidence” being translated into Mandarin which may very well turn out to be a best-seller ?

Thank you for sharing your observations and knowledge with all who want to understand the “inter-connectivity of all things” we humankind do. I definitely had my eyes opened up after 4 WEC and 6 years reading your blog.

God bless

Vy

REPLY: Yes, I would like to begin to translate to Mandarin. It is very clear that the West is in the process of committing economic suicide. China has the opportunity to become the Financial Capital of the World provided they respect the free movement of capital and ensure the legal system is fair and just. Global capital flows will dry up as a direct result of this virus and the insane reaction of politicians. They have been using this for political gain, but in the process, they are destroying the economic survivability of the West. Where Communism fell in China and Russia during the first 8.6-year wave, we are looking at the aggressive attempt by the Socialists to seize power in the West that will only destroy the economy which forced the same collapse of Communism. You simply cannot suppress the people indefinitely. Human rights* are about freedom — not suppressing the individual for the benefit of the state.

When I was invited by the government back in 1997, I met with the central bank which was being run by people who actually had the experience. They had been sent to work at various banks around the world and then returned with knowledge of how the real world works. I was also taken to a secret facility where they were monitoring everything on the internet and downloading knowledge to become capitalistic. I was taken to a meeting and shown that they were monitoring every price and showed me 249 varieties of tea they were tracking. What I was most impressed by was they were monitoring everything to learn, but they were not interfering. They were studying the free market movements which are critical.

  • Americans use the term civil rights which to the rest of the world is called human rights. American courts typically see human rights as closer to crimes against humanity, i.e. Hitler or Stalin. This definition of American civil rights more appropriately translates into human rights, i.e. the United Nation’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Youth Rioting Against Lockdown/House Arrest Worldwide

Gates and his puppet the WHO think they can restructure the world by forcing the economy to collapse. They fail to grasp that the civil unrest will rise dramatically after 4 weeks, which are witnessing, and then it will turn violent after 6 weeks. This is simply the cyclical behavior of human nature. Youths clashed with police in suburbs around Paris early on Wednesday. This was the fourth consecutive night of trouble as strict lockdown rules to tackle the coronavirus have heightened social tensions. Protests are starting all around the United States as the youth see this as a human rights issue when there is no serious risk of this coronavirus except to the elderly. Even down in New Zealand, they call this “the old people virus.” The New York Times simply calls them Republicans who are not worth listening to.

So far, the crowds are small and typically the youth. Protests have appeared in San Diego, with protesters marching against the ongoing closure of beaches and parks in the city. Protesters also turned out in state capitols in Texas, Maryland, and Virginia over the weekend. The leftist press pretends this is not real but simply covertly organized by Republicans pretending 100% of the country loves the lockdown. The Washington Post insists this is all funded by Republicans and not truly grass-roots.

Protests will continue to increase the longer this goes on and evolve into civil unrest with violence. Even in Florida, where we are not locked down, resentment is building. Many are voicing discontent and appropriately asking if 1,000 people died of the flu in Tampa, would they close New York City? Everyone knows the answer – NO WAY! This is starting to promote regional conflicts.

Flynn Defense Attorney Sidney Powell Documents Could Be Unsealed Tuesday or Wednesday…

Amid stunning new revelations and evidence in the case against Lt. General Michael Flynn, Sean Hannity invites Flynn’s legal counsel Sidney Powell on his show so she can listen to him talk about it.

But seriously… I’m not kidding… watch this bizarre interview. Sean Hannity asks Sidney Powell several times to talk about the case against Roger Stone. What the heck?

Instead of asking questions about the case and her court filings, Hannity goes on to talk about what his sources are telling him about the documents that Ms Powell filed. This is the most odd non-interview you might ever watch.  Something is VERY wrong here.

Tucker Carlson: “Five Pages of Flynn Evidence” Could Be Unsealed Tomorrow…

Fox News host Tucker Carlson provided some additional insight into the Flynn documents that were filed with the court last Friday noting the potential for the documents to be unsealed tomorrow.  According to an earlier report by Maria Bartiromo the documents relate to notes taken by former FBI legal counsel James Baker; and surround the events that encompassed the FBI interview of General Flynn in January 2017.  WATCH:

.

In a supplement to the defense motion to dismiss [pdf here] we discover some of the evidence of prosecutorial misconduct turned over by the DOJ to the Flynn defense. Specifically Lt. General Michael Flynn’s plea was based on: (1) a framing by the FBI; and (2) a threat against Michael Flynn Jr. if his father didn’t sign the plea.

If the reports are accurate it is very likely Judge Sullivan will allow the plea to be removed.  If the documents are as strong as outlined the entire case could be dismissed.

Because the exhibits had to be filed under seal, they are heavily redacted; however, Flynn’s defense counsel, Sidney Powell, has asked the court to release & unseal the full content of the exhibits so the world can see the coercion behind the corrupt plea agreement.

The Mueller prosecution team lead by Brandon Van Grack put the agreement and threat in writing, but they also made a deal with the former defense team to hide the terms in an effort to cover-up their misconduct. Coercion to force a plea is unethical and unlawful.

The full filing is below.

.

According to the latest court schedule the deadlines are noted below. Michael Flynn’s new motion to dismiss is filing #181; the documents filed under sealed are item #182:

It is possible for the #182 documents to be unsealed prior to any motions on their content. According to Tucker Carlson these documents may be unsealed tomorrow.

Apparently, the seal documents include notes taken by former FBI chief legal counsel James Baker the FBI meeting where agent Peter Strzok and agent Joseph Pientka interviewed National Security Advisor Michael Flynn at the White House.

According to Bartiromo James Baker’s notes are exculpatory in that they show the intent and purpose of the FBI interview was to frame Lt Gen. Flynn.

James Baker was removed from his position December 21, 2017, approximately three weeks after Flynn signed the plea agreement on November 30, 2017.

Baker’s removal from his position as FBI counsel was around the same time when SSCI Security Director James Wolfe (FISA leaker) was removed from his position at the Senate intelligence committee.  James Baker remained in his position until he resigned from the FBI on May 4, 2018, right in the middle of what we know were FBI cover-up operations.

When James Baker resigned the James Wolfe indictment was hidden & sealed (since March ’18); the Julian Assange indictment was hidden and sealed (since March ’18); and two months later the FBI lied to the FISA court (July 12, 2018). {Go Deep}

.

One note of caution… There is another “James Baker” in the mix.

Col James Baker was the handler for CIA/FBI operative Stefan Halper.  Col James Baker is likely the source of the original Flynn-Kislyak leaked transcript to the Washington Post.

Therefore a possibility exists the “Baker” notes or emails might pertain to Col James Baker, and not FBI Counsel James Baker.  We’ll have to wait and see…

One Ping Only…

“relatively speaking”…

.

Notice how President Trump always says: “you’d have been at war with North Korea”.  Notice how President Trump doesn’t say: “you’d have been at war with Kim Jong-un”.

Again, this has always looked like one of the most complex geopolitical hostage rescue operations in history.   China controls the DPRK, which includes the entire military apparatus in/around control over the North Korean people.

The world presents North Korea as a rogue regime without noticing/admitting that in reality North Korea is a proxy province of China.

Chairman Xi is the captor.

Chairman Kim is the captive.

President Trump is the hostage rescuer…. and so they dance.

POTUS knows the status of Kim; both Kim and Trump have discussed the dynamic.  Chairman Xi doesn’t like the Kim and Trump relationship; because it has disrupted the entire purpose of the DPRK as a proxy province providing Beijing plausible deniability.

And so it goes…

“Relatively speaking” of course.

Attorney General Bill Barr Issues DOJ Memo: “The Constitution is Not Suspended in Times of Crisis”…

The U.S. Department of Justice, Attorney General Bill Barr, has issued a memo (pdf here) citing a needed balance between COVID-19 mitigation efforts and U.S. civil rights under the constitution.  Notably AG Barr identifies both “religious freedom”, and “undue interference with the national economy” within his memo.

[…] “Many policies that would be unthinkable in regular times have become commonplace in recent weeks, and we do not want to unduly interfere with the important efforts of state and local officials to protect the public. But the Constitution is not suspended in times of crisis. We must therefore be vigilant to ensure its protections are preserved, at the same time that the public is protected” (citation)
