CTH is finding it difficult to dismiss the likelihood that both Democrat and Republican corporate club members are intentionally working to make the border crisis worse in an effort to fracture the base of support for President Trump… That purchased approachseems in line with Tom Donohue’s Big Club strategy.
Earlier today President Trump tweeted about the growing crisis at the U.S-Mexico border. Additionally this follows after he answered a press question yesterday about closing some of the border entry points:
Q Mr. President, if you close the border, would it be to all trade? Would you close the border to trade?
THE PRESIDENT: It could be to all trade. Mexico is making absolutely a fortune with the United States. They have a trade surplus of over $100 billion, which is far bigger than anybody understands. They’ve had it for many years. And either they’re going to stop — they have the strongest immigration laws anywhere in the world. And we have the weakest, the most pathetic laws. Number one, Congress has to act. And number two, Mexico — they make so much money from the United States and so many other things, so many other assets, they have to grab it and they have to stop it.
We have, right now, two big caravans coming up from Guatemala. Massive caravans walking right through Mexico. So, Mexico is tough. They can stop them, but they chose not to. Now they’re going to stop them. And if they don’t stop them, we’re closing the border. They’ll close it. And we’ll keep it closed for a long time. I’m not playing games. Mexico has to stop it. They have people coming right through Mexico. It’s a long, very dangerous journey. Mexico sends busses, they send trucks, they do absolutely — they started, at one point, a little bit — stopping. They don’t do anything to stop it right now.
So the caravan has formed. I’ve ended payments to Guatemala, to Honduras, and to El Salvador. No money goes there anymore. We were giving them $500 million. We were giving them tremendous aid. We stopped payment to Honduras, to Guatemala, and to El Salvador. We were paying them tremendous amounts of money, and we’re not paying them anymore because they haven’t done a thing for us.
They set up these caravans. In many cases, they put their worst people in the caravan; they’re not going to put their best in. They get rid of their problems. And they march up here, and then they’re coming into their country; we’re not letting them in our country.
Our Border Patrol, the job they’ve done, is incredible. The job that ICE is doing is incredible. And we have run out of space. We can’t hold people anymore. And Mexico can stop it so easily. They don’t go through a court system every time somebody steps on our land. You step on our land: “Welcome to the United States.” It’s ridiculous.
So Congress — and I know you guys are going to work hard on it — but Congress has to fix our broken immigration laws. We’re the laughing stock all over the world. People pour into this country and we stop them because Border Patrol is so incredible. But there’s a point at which you can’t stop them anymore. We have no detention space, no nothing.
So, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador have done nothing. Mexico has done nothing. And I’ll tell you something: Colombia — you have your new President of Colombia. Really good guy. I’ve met him. We had him at the White House. He said how he’s going to stop drugs. More drugs are coming out of Colombia right now than before he was President. So he has done nothing for us.
Okay. Thank you very much.
Q Will you put DACA back on the table to speed up deportations?
THE PRESIDENT: It’s in the Supreme Court right now. After the Supreme Court.
QUESTION: Is it true that the government wanted to run a brothel in Nevada?
GK
ANSWER: That story is indeed really humorous. It is absolutely true that the federal government wanted to operate Mustang Ranch brothel in Nevada after it was seized in a bankruptcy proceeding in September 1990. It certainly would have been interesting to see how many government employees it suddenly took to interview the girls that wanted to work there. Indeed, the feds told the court that they wanted to keep the business going until the brothel could be sold at auction. However, the federal judge refused to allow the bankruptcy trustee to assume the ranch’s business license. Instead, the IRS foreclosed on the property and auctioned it off a few months later. Nevertheless, they did want to run the brothel, which was legal in Nevada. That certainly would have made things interesting to see how they would have operated the business.
In the West, girls are simply not having enough children. This is undermining the entire social structure. The welfare system is dependent upon the population increasing, or at the bare minimum remaining unchanged. Europe has secretly allowed refugees in to try to make up for the decline in population that will undermine their highly socialistic economic system. The contrast with the West stands in China and Korea. In the case of China, here too there is a shrinkage in population. However, unlike the West, China is neither adopting Quantitative Easing or allowing an influx of refugees in.
In the case of Korea, they are hoping for a reunification with the North. This, they hope, will compensate for the shrinkage in their population. Historically, the more economically advanced a society becomes, the fewer children the women have. Even in ancient Rome, the first Emperor Augustus passed family laws and would fine men who would not marry and have children.
Once again, history reveals the trends are consistent throughout the centuries.

Whoopsie, Chicago State Attorney corruption is going into ludicrous mode. According to an interview with ABC7, Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx is now claiming all the activity to seal evidence in the Jussie Smolett case was done “inadvertently”.
Yeah, yeah…. that’s the ticket. The keyboards and computers self-activated and typed up the motion to the Judge, and then convinced the clerk of courts to accept the motion filing all just accidental and stuff… or something. Nothing to see here, Russians! Gottabe…
Oh yeah, and don’t overlook that pesky admission that Ms. Foxx didn’t actually recuse herself from the case, as previously claimed. She’s admitting she participated. D’oh!
CHICAGO (WLS) — Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx defended her office’s decision to drop all charges against “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett, who was accused of staging a racist and homophobic attack on himself.
“I believe this is a just outcome based on the circumstances,” Foxx said on Wednesday, a day after the charges were dropped.
In an interview on Wednesday, she said the practice of dropping charges in exchange for community service and restitution is not uncommon for the Class 4 felonies that Smollett was charged with.
“We believe that the facts were sufficient to charge and try Mr. Smollett for the crimes,” Foxx said.
While a court did not find him guilty, she said: “Based on the facts and the evidence that was presented in the charging decision that was made by this office, this office believed that they could prove him guilty.”
Foxx had recused herself from the case a week prior to Smollett being charged when it appeared that the actor had gone from victim to suspect. She recused herself after speaking with a “relative” of Smollett, but not Smollett himself. Foxx said it is not uncommon for her to speak to victims and their families.
“The family had reached out, I think to me, largely because they didn’t have a connection to the police department, asking if there was a way to make sure that the leaks in the case were to a minimum,” Foxx said.
Foxx added: “I don’t want any speculation or concern, I don’t even want the appearance, that my involvement with this case, now having talked to a family member, would in any way impede this investigation.”
She was connected to the family through Tina Tchen, the former chief of staff to Michelle Obama.
In a statement, Tchen said: “I know members of the Smollett family based on prior work together. Shortly after Mr. Smollett reported he was attacked, as a family friend, I contacted Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, who I also know from prior work together. My sole activity was to put the chief prosecutor in the case in touch with an alleged victim’s family who had concerns about how the investigation was being characterized in public.” (read more)

Unless some better explanation surfaces, here’s the lesson of this weird turn in the Smollett case:
You can contrive a hate crime, make it a national news, get caught and-if you are a well-connected celebrity-get off for $10K and have your record expunged and files sealed.
This is a breaking story, so stay tuned. Details are sketchy. Here’s what we know so far. West Virginia State Police and U.S. Secret Service agents shut down part of interstate 68 in West Virginia following an alert of a 42-year-old male heading to Washington DC to carry out a threat against President Trump and the Pentagon.
State police, ATF and FBI officers responded. A 42-year old male has been apprehended. I-68 is now re-opened. A vehicle search revealed a firearm and explosive powder.
W-VA – […] State Police Captain Shallon Oglesby said the shutdown came after a routine traffic stop at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday for speeding along the eastbound lanes.
The trooper determined that the stop would require an “in-depth investigation” leading to the shutdown, Oglesby said.
State Police and Preston officials would not confirm reports that the incident involves explosives.
The FBI arrived on scene to assist, an FBI spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday afternoon. (read more)
PRESTON COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) — West Virginia State Police said Interstate 68 was shut down temporarily Wednesday near the border with Maryland after threats were made to kill President Donald Trump and to blow up the Pentagon. (read more)
Continued: “Oglesby said a search of the vehicle revealed a firearm and an explosive powder. A 42-year-old man has been detained for questionin. WV State Police, in conjunction with the FBI and Secret Service, is continuing to investigate this incident, according to Oglesby.”
The prosecutor dropped all charges and expunged the record of Jussie Smollett, whose hate crime allegation against white “MAGA Country” assailants was deemed a hoax by police. Empire star Smollet is cleared, but what about the real criminals? Right Angle is a production of the Members at https://BillWhittle.com
In a stunning development Cook County Asst. State Attorney Joseph Magats decided to drop all charges against Jussie Smollett for perpetrating a hate hoax crime.
All of the investigative evidence is solid; all of the evidence that proves Jussie Smollett did perpetrate the hoax is solid; and the police are angry with State Attorney Magats.
It appears the Asst. State Attorney felt the crime was not really that big a deal. As TMZ noted: “You’ll recall State’s Attorney Kim Foxx recused herself from the case. She reportedly had asked cops to stand down at the behest of Tina Tchen – Michelle Obama’s former Chief of Staff and a friend of Jussie’s family. The conflict forced Foxx to bow out. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office tells us the decision to drop all charges against Jussie was made by Asst. State Attorney Joseph Magats”.
Joseph Magats, the Asst. State’s Attorney, said he saw no problems with the police investigation or the evidence against Smollett. The charges against Smollett were simply dropped in return for his agreement to do community service, and for forfeiting his bond to the city of Chicago.
Upon making the decision to drop the charges, asst. state attorney Joseph Magats also said: “Here’s the thing – we work to prioritize violent crime and the drivers of violent crime. Public safety is our number one priority. I don’t see Jussie Smollett as a threat to public safety.”
Magats went on to say, “We stand behind the investigation, we stand behind the decision to charge him and we stand behind the charges in the case. The mere fact that it was disposed of in an alternative manner does not mean that there were any problems or infirmities in the case or the evidence.”

“Do you believe that he is innocent?” CBS reporter @adrianasdiaz asks First Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Joseph Magats about dropping charges against Jussie Smollett. “I do not believe he is innocent,” Magats responds.
The decision to drop charges is fully, and specifically, upon the Cook County Asst. State Attorney Joseph Magats. The reasoning is transparently political. Smollett is connected to important Democrats and people within the party apparatus.
Magats’ position is predictable; the Asst. State Attorney for Cook county will claim if he took the Smollett case to it’s conclusion the sentence would likely be community service as punishment. Well, Jussie Smollett will still do the community service, but will not have the conviction… that’s the deal. Two-tiered justice.
This decision is so corrupt and so obviously politically connected, that even Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel cannot stand behind it. WATCH:

Chicago police detective tells @FoxNews “We have a lot more evidence than we told the media about and we were fully prepared to go to trial. We’re very angry this happened.” #JussieSmollett
PS, In my humble opinion, the Smollett hate crime was planned as part of the Kamala Harris presidential candidacy rollout. Jussie Smollett just did a terrible job at pulling it off and the entire operation went sideways.
I’m so excited that @KamalaHarris has decided to run for president. I would not be where I am today without her guidance during my first run for political office, and she has continued to mentor me as I work to reform the criminal justice system in Cook County. —KF
