As Senate UniParty Prepares Their Defenses Against President Trump, Watch for One Remaining Announcement

The New York Times is admitting something they previously pretended did not exist, Mitch McConnell is ready to fight Donald Trump.  You guys have watched this battle before, and you guys know that John Thune is the exact same ideological construct as his mentor, Mitch McConnell.  We do not need to pretend here.

An additional aspect to watch closely.  We know the Intelligence Community, the “Six Ways from Sunday” group, are going to do whatever is needed in order to protect their equity interests from the return of President Trump.  Again, no pretending is needed.

Currently, as Senate Majority Leader, John Thune elevates to the intelligence “oversight” group known as the Gang of Eight.  Four members of the Gang of Eight (Go8) come out of the Senate, and four from the House.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, SSCI Vice-Chairman Mark Warner, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune are three of the four from the Senate.  However, we still do not know who will join Thune from the GOP side. Who will be the Republican SSCI Chairman?

Internally, Susan Collins is now Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee.  Mitch McConnell is now Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee, a specifically taken position to retain control of Senate rules (think Cloture, Filibuster and importantly, Recess Appointments via Senate schedule).

With Thune on the Gang of Eight, Collins as Appropriations (spending), and McConnell in charge of ‘rules’, who joins Thune on the Gang of Eight?

The three most likely SSCI members who could be given the role are: Tom Cotton, James Lankford or John Cornyn.  My suspicion based on the DeceptiCon playbook, and his skeptical statements about Trump intelligence nominations, would be to watch out for Senator James Lankford.

Cornyn who challenged Thune for leadership, is not currently in any of the leadership roles.  Perhaps he will be given the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chair; who knows.  Senator Cotton, a Sea Island participant, would be another stealth move.

We need to watch closely who John Thune (with McConnell directing) puts into the role of SSCI Chairman.  That’s part of the Intelligence Community weapon against the risk presented by a return of President Donald Trump.

NEW YORK TIMES – The last time President Donald J. Trump was in the White House, Senator Mitch McConnell, the Kentucky Republican who was then the majority leader, played a crucial role in empowering him and pushing through his agenda.

But Mr. McConnell, the longest-serving Senate leader, is stepping down from that post in January. This time he appears to be positioning himself to do the opposite, choosing to focus on issues that could put him at odds with Mr. Trump on policy and personnel at the dawn of his second term.

In recent days, including during a late-night session of votes on the Senate floor last week, Mr. McConnell, 82, has told colleagues that his impending exit from leadership has left him feeling “liberated.”

He has signaled skepticism about some of the president-elect’s most divisive picks for his administration, staying mum on their selections and saying last week that the withdrawal of former Representative Matt Gaetz from consideration as attorney general was “appropriate.” And Mr. McConnell has telegraphed that as he moves to cement his legacy in his remaining time in the Senate, he plans to prioritize two issues that just happen to be subjects on which he disagrees strongly with Mr. Trump.

Mr. McConnell, whose current term ends in 2027 and who has not said whether he will seek another, has said he plans to focus intently during the next two years on advancing his interventionist strain of foreign policy, which flies in the face of the president-elect’s “America First” approach. He also wants to concentrate on preserving the Senate’s institutional independence at a time when Mr. Trump, who will have a governing trifecta in January, has made clear that he means to bend the chamber to his will. Bureaucrats in HHS System Uncooperative with RFK Jr Transition Efforts

Posted originally on the CTH on November 25, 2024 | Sundance

As the story is told, the unwillingness of President-Elect Trump and his transition team to comply with the rules of the bureaucracy in DC this time, has led to the Administrative State refusing to comply with any transition of power, specifically as it relates to Robert F Kennedy Jr and the healthcare transition team.

If President-Elect Trump would just adhere to the DC transition rules, then the DC bureaucrats who run the Executive Branch might be more willing to comply with requests.  However, unless and until President Trump accepts the administrative state’s power over him, they are at loggerheads.

Given the “trillions at stake” in the Health and Human Services system, we can only imagine the internal dynamic and pressure from lobbyists to keep their equity stakes as long as possible.

WASHINGTON DC – Advisers to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. reached out to the Health and Human Services Department multiple times after Donald Trump tapped him to lead the massive agency, hoping to jumpstart coordination before his takeover in late January. They were rebuffed.

Kennedy’s inability to communicate with the agency he may soon manage, confirmed by an administration official with knowledge of the episodes granted anonymity to describe internal deliberations, is just one consequence of the president-elect’s continued foot-dragging on signing the standard trio of ethics and transparency agreements with the federal government — something his team pledged to do shortly after the election.

The Trump transition’s unprecedented delay in signing the agreements has so far prevented the incoming administration from having any formal contact with federal agencies, including sending in groups of policy advisers known as “landing teams.” It also means they can’t access cybersecurity support or secure email servers for transition-related work, or request FBI background checks for their nominees.

Both the Trump transition and the White House confirmed to POLITICO that negotiations on the agreements are still underway. But until the standoff is resolved, Trump’s Cabinet nominees will gain no more insight than the general public into the workings of the departments they’re supposed to run. (READ MORE)

DEA Suspended from Robbing Airline Passengers

Posted originally on Nov 25, 2024 by Martin Armstrong

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has been criminalizing airline passengers since the Patriot Act gave them the permission to treat everyone as a suspected terrorist. The Justice Department has finally suspended the DEA from most passenger searches after an investigation revealed that the DEA was perhaps violating the Constitution with illegal and warrantless searches.

A Justice Department Office of Inspector General (OIG) memorandum outlined a DECADE worth of “significant concerns” about how DEA agents have been fabricating the criteria necessary to search passengers. In fact, the OIG found that one airline employee was paid tens of thousands of dollars as a kickback for seizing cash from unsuspecting passengers on behalf of the DEA.

The majority of searches and seizures at airports never find an actual crime. That does not prevent DEA agents from coercing passengers into forfeiting their assets. There are countless stories of innocent passengers losing everything for carrying an amount greater than $5,000 on board.

The DEA attempted to steal the life savings of a retired railroad engineer who had $82,373 in cash. The agency was forced to return he funds when the case went public. In another instance, a woman had over $40,000 confiscated without valid reason. Yet again, the DEA had to return the money when the story hit the news. This happens extremely frequently, but it is rare for the agency to return funds once they have been confiscated.

According to the Justice Department Office of Inspector General, the DEA seized $4 billion in cash from potential drug smugglers from 2007 to 2017, but only $3.2 billion was found to be connected to criminal activity. The report concluded: “”When seizure and administrative forfeitures do not ultimately advance an investigation or prosecution, law enforcement creates the appearance, and risks the reality, that it is more interested in seizing and forfeiting cash than advancing an investigation or prosecution.”

What is considered suspicious activity? “When you buy a last-minute ticket, we get alerts,” one DEA officer explained. “We come out, and we talk to those people, which I’ve tried to do to you, but you wouldn’t allow me to do it.” Purchasing a flight with an immediate return could set off the alarm, as could purchasing a ticket within 24 hours of travel. The DEA considers it suspicious if you travel without checked luggage.

Once, I flew back to the States from Europe during the July Fourth holiday. My ticket was originally booked for JFK in New York. I then remembered the traffic would be horrific so I switched to Philadelphia. When I landed, I was met by two IRS agents. Apparently, there was sting they set up at JFK looking for Americans coming home for holidays who do not pay taxes here. I said, “You can check. I pay my taxes here and do not live overseas.” That was not good enough. They thought I was tipped off to their sting in NYC, so they sent two agents to intercept me in Philadelphia simply because I switched planes.

How do we permit government agencies to seize assets on the premise of suspicion? Then, we allow these agencies to split the proceeds they illegally seized even if no crime was committed. Does the Constitution not apply at the airport?

The Election 2024 – Will there Be One in 2028?

Election 2024 r

This is a special report on the political models forecasting Trump’s victory against all the polls, looking at the future, including the forecasts for the 2028 election, if there is even one. This report also dives into the fact that political parties often split and even vanish into the history books like the Federalists. Thomas Jefferson’s Democratic-Republican Party split into the Democrats vs. Republicans. Then, there was a takeover of parties like FDR during the 1930s, as Trump did in the Republican Party. There is always resistance, and today, Trump faces the RINOs in addition to the Democrats.

This report is unique and provides insight into the political chaos ahead.

Appearing on CNN, Senate Intelligence Committee member James Lankford outlines the critical importance of the Intelligence Community heroes, and the important role the IC plays in the retention of their national security interests.

Senator Lankford looks forward to asking Director of National Intelligence nominee Tulsi Gabbard about her travels and contacts with foreign leaders, as well as her advocacy for positions (Edward Snowden) that are relevant to her outlook on national security.  Additionally, Lankford is emphatic that Main Justice should be free from any political influence, regardless of who is president. WATCH:
