Biden Arms Greece in Loophole Deal

The Biden Administration’s top priority is setting the stage for the next global conflict. The federal government has refused to fund US infrastructure, address rising homelessness and crime, or secure the border. They claim that they do not have the funds to [fill in any severe problem the US is facing]. However, the US federal government always finds the funding for foreign wars and will now provide arms to another foreign nation with the promise that they will arm Ukraine.

The Republican Party prevented the last Ukraine cash grab from happening last month. The people and their elected officials do not want to send US tax dollars to Ukraine. Washington has ignored all checks and balances, finding a loophole to ensure that aid continues. According to a new Forbes article, the US will send weapons to Greece with the understanding that Greece will send weapons to Ukraine.

Blinken no deal

The Excess Defense Articles (EDA) grant the president sole power to use a foreign nation as his personal arms dealer. The president may deem what is our “military surplus,” assign it a value or no value, and gift it to a foreign nation under the condition that they transport the “surplus” to the president’s designated target. While the law places the transfer max at $500 million, the president may simply declare the surplus to be worthless. Hence, this is why Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently described the weapons transfer as “free concessions.”

The following items are allegedly of no value to the US:

– Two C-130H aircraft, Surplus Defense Materiel

– Ten engines for P-3 aircraft, Surplus Defense Materiel

– 60 Bradley armored fighting vehicles, as Surplus Defense Materiel

Greece is “purchasing” the following for $8.6 billion, and Biden approved $60 million in funding for this package in 2022 and 2023.

–40 new F-35 aircraft through Foreign Military Sales

– Three Protector-class ships, as Surplus Defense Materiel

– Various trucks and trailers, as Surplus Defense Materiel

“We continue to be interested in the defense capabilities that Greece could transfer or sell to Ukraine,” Blinken wrote in his letter of bribery. “If these capabilities are of interest to Ukraine, and pending an assessment of their status and value by the U.S. government, we can explore opportunities for possible additional foreign armed forces financing of up to $200 million for Greece.”

Not to upset neighboring Turkey, the US State Department is permitting Turkey to spend $23 billion on 40 new F-16 fighter jets and 79 upgrade kits for older models. Better yet, the deal was used to bribe Turkey into voting to permit Sweden to join NATO.

Other nations are using similar loopholes to fund Ukraine as the globalists care not about democracy. Some say that these weapons are simply outdated and the US has an abundant surplus. These weapons are not worthless and could be sold.

Worse, it was confirmed that arming Ukraine has depleted the US military’s stockpile. Colin Kahl, the Pentagon’s undersecretary for policy, told reporters in November 2023 that “there’s no question” that US stockpiles are running low as a result of arming Ukraine. “I will say Secretary (Lloyd) Austin has been laser-focused since the beginning in making sure that we were not taking undue risk. That is that we weren’t drawing down our stockpiles so much that it would undermine our readiness and our ability to respond to another major contingency elsewhere in the world,” Kahl added.

The funding to Ukraine will continue for as long as globalists remain in power.

Supreme Court delves into North Carolina redistricting case with significant election implications

https://justthenews.com/nation/states/center-square/supreme-court-hear-arguments-wednesday-north-carolina-redistricting

Case focuses on how much authority state legislatures have on elections and whether courts can intervene.

The U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments in a North Carolina redistricting case on Wednesday that could have broad implications for both the state and the nation.

Justices will hear Moore v. Harper on Wednesday to determine whether state courts can override lawmakers in the redistricting process.

North Carolina Republicans argue in a brief “the text of the Elections Clause provides the answer: it assigns state legislatures the federal function of regulating congressional elections.”

Justices on the Democrat-controlled state Supreme Court cited state constitutional provisions for blocking congressional districts created by the General Assembly last year to impose a different map devised by a court-appointed “special master.”

But Republicans argue that because the Constitution’s Election Clause “is supreme over state law, the States may not limit the legislature’s discretion.”

The outcome of the case will impact redistricting efforts in states across the country, and in the process could shift the balance of political power. But critics contend the case could also reverberate into other decisions, as well.

A brief submitted by the League of Women Voters argues a ruling in support of North Carolina Republicans’ independent state legislature theory “would not be confined to redistricting plans, applicable to only particular offices or legislative bodies.”

“Adopting the petitioners’ theory would open the door to the retroactive abrogation of all state court rulings that have invoked state constitutional grounds to strike down state statutes – but only as to federal elections,” the brief read.

In North Carolina, the 2022 congressional map adopted by the state Supreme Court resulted in a congressional delegation split 7-7 between Republicans and Democrats in the November election. Critics of the 2022 map approved by the General Assembly contend it would have produced 10 Republican seats in Congress. Republicans in the General Assembly plan to redraw the map in 2023, and the case will weigh on that process.

Republicans argue state courts have no role in policing federal elections.

“The Framers (of the U.S. Constitution) could have assigned the power over federal elections in the first instance to states, without specifying which entity of state government would have primary responsibility,” the brief argues. “But recognizing that prescribing the times, places, and manner of federal elections is fundamentally a legislative role, the Framers specified that this delegated power would be exercised by ‘the Legislature thereof.'”

The November election shifted control of the North Carolina Supreme Court from a 4-3 Democrat majority to a 5-2 Republican majority, suggesting that regardless of the outcome of Moore v. Harper, the state’s high court may be more likely to uphold a map from the Republican-controlled General Assembly.

The case will have an impact on the General Assembly’s ability to impose rules for free and fair federal elections, such as voter identification laws opposed by Democrats, mail voting and voter registration rules, among others.

Common Cause North Carolina contends a positive outcome for Republicans would “overturn our historic victory against gerrymandering from earlier this year and unleash voter suppression against the people of North Carolina.”

“It would make it harder to turn public demands into public policy that reflects the needs and values of our communities,” according to an announcement urging followers to “stop the North Carolina’s most brazen power grab yet.”

Arctic Sea Ice Reaches Summer Decadal Maximum

How can there still be any ice there didn’t Gore and Hansen say it would all be gone by now, maybe just a little white lie!

Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Al Gore forecast an ice-free Arctic for this summer. He is a great hero and has made nearly a billion dollars off pushing the global warming scam, while I am considered to be “deranged” for posting these graphs from the Danish Meteorological Institute.

Towards a pragmatic ethics of climate change

I like this discussions but before we enter into them we must understand the issues without the political baggage. With climate change the science got politicized before it was even close to understood. So now we have hardened positions and climate models that can show what it happening today — so how can be believe that can can show what might be even a few decades off. Since the key to all of this is the forcing values of CO2 it would seem to me that that must be understood fully first before any other issue.

The global climate change debate has gone badly wrong. Many mainstream environmentalists are arguing for the wrong actions and for the wrong reasons, and so long as they continue to do so they put all our futures in jeopardy. – Thomas Wells

BORDER PATROL AGENTS REVEAL THE UN IS IN CONTROL OF THE BORDER

The southwest border is an open sewer with the undesirables from the south pouring in unrestrained. They cloak themselves with innocents surrounding themselves with kids who are nothing to them but a means to gain unrestricted entrance to the United States.

TEXAS STATE SENATOR: 100,000 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT GANG MEMBERS IN STATE

This just can’t be true Obama, Reid and Pelosi have guaranteed that the US southern border is secure!

Hours before Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced he would send National Guard troops to the border, Texas state Senator Dan Patrick said there are at least 100,000 illegal immigrant gang members in the state.

On Monday’s The Laura Ingraham Show, Patrick, who is also the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, said from 2008 to 2012, 143,000 illegal immigrant criminals were arrested and jailed in Texas. He said these were “hardened criminals, gang members, and other criminals that we identified as being in Texas illegally.”

“We charged them with 447,000 crimes, a half-million crimes in four years, just in Texas, including over 5,000 rapes and 2,000 murders,” Patrick said. “We estimate we have 100,000 gang members here illegally.”

Patrick also observed during his trips to the border and detention centers that many of the “young children” are teenagers and with parents and family members. He said there is a…

Wisconsin Economics Professor Accuses UW-Madison Of Plan To Require Race-Based “Diversity Grading”

Hey we could just assign diplomas and degrees by lottery and spare all the confusion!

jonathanturley's avatarJONATHAN TURLEY

UW-Madison_logo.svgLee Hansen, a professor emeritus of economics at UW-Madison, has caused a stir in academic with an article entitled “Madness in Madison” with the John William Hope Pope Center for Higher Education, a North Carolina-based think tank. The article quotes at length from a UW-Madison guideline entitled Forward Together: A Framework for Diversity and Inclusive Excellence that refers to equity in grading and also references how minority students should be allowed into special programs or high-demand majors. The broad language raises concerns with faculty like Hansen over how professors are supposed to achieve these goals and whether they will be evaluated based on such guidelines. Hansen is a well-respected economist with a long and impressive academic history.

The Southern Border – Time to Boldly Lead

From an article by Paul E. Vallely, Stand Up America

kids

Back in 2011, we at Stand Up America US raised the alarm on the threat level of Mexico and the Southern Border. We rated the threat from our Southern Border just as great as the Middle East (except for Iran and proxies, along with the Afghanistan/Pakistan conflict).

We raised the alarm then that inaction by our government were treasonous, and our leadership in Washington, D.C. continued on a rudderless course when it came to National Security, especially concerning our homeland along our Southern Border.

We need leaders now that understand the current threat and vulnerabilities to be much worse than we wrote about in 2011.

We are now being flooded by the young on the Southern border and predictions indicate this is just the beginning. Constant enforcement of standing immigration law has been…

White House Hid Huge Spike Of Families Crossing Border

Re-Post from the Daily Caller by Neil Munro, White House Correspondent

Photo of Neil Munro

New data shows the White House has painted a false picture of the Central American migration by hiding a huge spike in “family units” who are illegally crossing the Texas border.

The data, which was dumped by the U.S. border patrol late Friday afternoon, shows that inflow of youths and children traveling without parents has doubled since 2013, to 57,525 in the nine months up to July 2014.

But the number of migrants who cross the border in so-called “family units” has spiked five-fold to 55,420, according to the border patrol’s data, which came out amid a storm of news about the shoot-down of a Malaysian aircraft in Ukraine, delays in failed U.S. nuke talks with Iran, and on Hamas’ continued war against Israel.

In the Rio Grande area where most of the migrants are crossing the border, the number of so-called “unaccompanied children” was actually outnumbered by the inflow by adults, parents and children in “family units,” according to the data.

The much-faster growth in “family units” has been hidden by White House and agency officials, who have tried to portray the influx as a wave of children fleeing abuse and violence.

Top officials, such as Jeh Johnson, the secretary of Homeland Security, has explained the influx as a child migration, and justified the government’s welcoming response as acting “in the best interests of the children.” That portrayal has been picked up and spread by Democratic legislators, reporters and bloggers — such as Greg Sargent at The Washington Post and Rachel Lienesch at the Huffington Post – to help mute the public’s growing anger at the Democrats’ failure to guard the border.

However. that effort has largely failed. Most of the unaccompanied youths say they’re aged 14 to 17, and many are seeking jobs. Also, multiple polls shows the majority of Americans — and near-majorities of Latin-Americans — blame Obama for the breakdown. A July Gallup poll shows that the crisis has prompted Americans to identify it as the nation’s leading problem.

White House officials also touted the wave of so-called “unaccompanied children,” and downplayed the “family units,” because they wished to focus the media’s attention on a supposed problem caused by a 2008 law, titled the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act.

White House officials say the law prevents them from repatriating Central Americans youths and children once they’re legally dubbed “unaccompanied alien children.” Officials also say the 2008 law forces them to settle the youths in the United States until judges decide if they can stay in the country.

The 2008 law was designed to allow severely-traumatized victims of forced trafficking — such as teenage prostitutes held by violent pimps — to apply for green cards in the United States.
