$50M for Climate Change in Palestine?

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lee Zeldin found $20 BILLION in public funds that his predecessors from the Biden era of perpetual spending purposely wasted. Project Veritas first discovered the deliberate wasteful spending of the EPA through investigative journalism. A former EPA staffer called the agency’s spending under Biden akin to throwing gold bars off the Titanic. Zeldin is demanding that recipients return the “gold bars.”

“The “gold bars” were tax dollars, and “tossing them off the Titanic” meant the Biden administration knew they were wasting it,” Zeldin shared on X after posting the “extremely disturbing” Project Veritas video. “[T]his scheme was the first of its kind in EPA history, and it was purposefully designed to obligate all the money in a rush job with reduced oversight.”

It is far easier to retain funds than it is to retrieve them. Zeldin recently saved the government $50 million on a grant to the Climate Justice Alliance, a group that believes “climate justice travels through a Free Palestine.” Why did a government agency provide this alliance with $50 million? A portion of the grant was intended for a CONCERT to promote awareness for climate change in Palestine. The group claimed the Trump administration is simply spreading “misinformation” that “aims to scapegoat non-white and non-rich people.”

Even the weather is racist and sexist, according to the far left. Everything can be chalked up to climate change. Hillary Clinton said that the weather was hurting women in Ukraine, so it is on course for a leftist agency to say they need funds to fight climate change in Palestine. It is absolute lunacy, but a portion of the population nods in agreement and believes that privileged Americans should pay to somehow fix the nonexistent situation.

Let’s take a closer look at this organization that claims a just transition cannot happen through charity alone. As noted on the group’s website: “We must organize to move money out of the old economy using both public and private vehicles. We must weaken the power of the speculative markets, extreme energy, worker exploitation, extraction and militarism while strengthening economic and political democracy, placing power in the hands of the people.” Do you see a conflict of government interest here?

The EPA is one of countless agencies that have been weaponized by the left. For years, the people have paid into these ANTI-AMERICAN agencies that were openly working against the democracy of America in favor of globalist pursuits. The show is over.

Only 5% of Members Met UN Climate Pledge Deadline

Only 10 of the 195 nations on board for the Paris Agreement have met the February 10, 2025, deadline to release their “nationally determined contributions” (NDCs). These NDCs are presented as detailed blueprints for how nations will continue cutting emissions to meet each five-year global stocktake (GST) goal. The problem is that 95% of nations have no plan in place.

The Paris Agreement began ten years and trillions of dollars ago, but no noticeable progress has been made. The United Nations admitted back in 2019 that the Paris Agreement or Accord was destined to fail. Even if every pledging nation met 100% of the UN mandates, they would still fall 2/3 short of meeting their targets. They admit that even if every country involved in those accords complied with their pledges between now and 2030, temperatures would still rise by 3 degrees Celsius by 2100. It is astonishing that nations continue to buy into this agreement that is destined to fail because the targets were created with no regard for naturally occurring weather cycles.

Yet, 195 nations agreed to continue tackling this losing battle. The GST is split into three phases: data collection, technical assessment, and consideration of outputs. Governments and climate scientists have compiled over 170,000 pages spanning over 252 hours of meetings and the final advice from the United Nations is always the same – nations are failing to meet their objectives.

Of the 10 nations who complied with the latest deadline, the US and UK were the only G7 nations to submit plans. The US submitted its plan before Donald Trump pulled out of the Paris Agreement. This is yet another example of how the US has been funding globalist initiatives.

Global Warming Cavemen Climate

Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Switzerland, Uruguay, Andorra, Ecuador and Saint Lucia also met the deadline, but the UN has warned that the UAE, Brazil, and Switzerland have plans that are “not compatible” with meeting the 1.5C target by 2035. The UN said that the UK is potentially on the right track if it agrees to INCREASE SPENDING to help other nations meet their goals, a role formerly filled by the US.

“Without dedicated efforts to ramp up finance, you’re not going to achieve the triple [renewable] energy target, so that’s definitely something that needs to be reckoned with in the global stocktake outcome,” the Centre for Science and Environment told Carbon Brief.

Anyone can make a pledge and pander to the climate social justice warrior crowd. That does not mean they intend to follow through. The pressure is placed on the nations who can pay up and are expected to cover the costs for others. Numerous nations who have been touting their lofty climate goals like Australia and Canada plan to release their GST plans after elections as it a bargaining chip. The goal can never be achieved but that will not prevent the United Nations from squeezing every last cent out of member nations.

EPA Threw Away BILLIONS Ahead of Trump Presidency

Project Veritas revealed that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) deliberately gave away BILLIONS in funds prior to Trump taking office. “Now it’s how to get the money out as fast as possible before they [Trump Administration] come in … it’s like we’re on the Titanic and we’re throwing gold bars off the edge.” – Brent Efron, EPA Advisor.

There is still outrage surrounding the elimination of the EPA. People do not realize just how much money this agency blew through on absolutely nothing. Biden admitted that the Inflation Reduction Act, the most expensive spending package in US history, was about CLIMATE CHANGE at its core and had nothing to do with inflation. Those at the EPA called the act “Biden’s climate law” and were eager to spend the proceeds. Efron told an undercover journalist that they were preparing to spend the money as quickly as possible right up until inauguration day.

The EPA was aware that Trump would likely eliminate their impractical agency. “We gave them [nonprofits] the money because… it was an insurance policy against Trump winning. Because they aren’t [a government agency], they’re safer from Republicans taking the money away,” he said. The EPA awarded nonprofits between $50 and $100 million EACH toward the end of Biden’s presidency.

The Biden Administration effectively permitted this agency to “throw gold bars” off the edge of the Titanic and needlessly spend public funds. All of these investigations lead to the same conclusion. The government provides nonprofits with a large sum and those agencies then funnel the money to smaller agencies, whether its related to climate change or funding terrorism. This is precisely why Trump attempted to freeze all federal funds upon taking office.

In terms of trends determined by higher highs and lower lows, such as your analysis of the Democratic party in the US, stats like the crazy one below could probably tell a similar tale pertaining to the global warming fraud.

Just yesterday, a friend and I considered that winters in this part of Arkansas are colder than when I was a kid. While I don’t have the data to back it up, anecdotally, the winter trend is towards colder norms rather than warmer norms. Four years ago was a record low (in my lifetime) at 12 below.

REPLY: We have a lot of weather data, and this entire claim of global warming and that humans are the cause of climate change is not only stupid, it is arrogant. There is no evidence of what these people claim. The English Court ruled against Al Gore and his movie that his climate film presented nine ‘errors’ and was thus inappropriate. The climate zealots want to ignore that ruling and pretend it never happened.

Here is the data from New York City with records back to 1869. There is a normal climate cycle, and nothing shows any dramatic change in trends. We are headed into colder weather, and let us hope that the rise in volcanic activity does not produce one or two VE7 eruptions. Our computer warns that we are also at rise of a rise in volcanic activity. That can block the sun and result in a volcanic winter, so you should have food stashed for crops will fail during a volcanic winter, and people will starve.

There is a cycle to everything, including climate!

The assertion that carbon dioxide is a “pollutant” has been the centerpiece of public policy on climate for the developed world in recent years.

Demonizing CO2 has impacted virtually every aspect of modern Western civilization. It condemns the burning of fossil fuels for electricity, the use of combustion engines for transportation, and the employment of carbon fuels for virtually everything supporting modern civilization – even down to the kind of washing machines and kitchen stoves that are deemed acceptable. It forms the basis for the most grotesque of all the alarmist shibboleths – the “social cost of carbon”.

The theory that CO2 is malevolent was enshrined in the so-called “Endangerment Finding” issued by the Environmental Protection Agency in 2009, which held that carbon dioxide is a “pollutant” that “threatens public health and safety”.

CO2 radicalism rests on one main assumption – that increases in atmospheric CO2 will cause a linear and dangerous increase in global temperature. The belief that more CO2 emitted equals significantly more heat and higher temperature is a cornerstone of the ruling scientific paradigm.

But what if this assumption – the most ubiquitous of all modern conventional wisdoms – turns out to be mistaken?

This conventional wisdom has been questioned over the last decade by impeccably credentialed scientists who have undertaken actual science – not political science – to contradict this primary assumption underlying the AGW belief system.

Case in point is the peer-reviewed analysis completed in June, 2020 by eminent physicists William Happer and William van Wijngaarden. Mr. Happer is Professor Emeritus at Princeton University and van Wijngaarden is a professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at York University in Toronto, Both men are accomplished and renowned physicists with over 500 published papers to their credit. Mr. Happer is best known as the brilliant scientist whose insight into the physics of the atmosphere empowered the success of the Strategic Defense Initiative.

They applied highly detailed mathematical analytics to the physics of CO2 in the atmosphere and raised serious doubts about CO2’s ability to absorb heat after becoming “saturated” at current levels of 400 parts per million, and therefore unable to absorb significanty more heat from the Sun. Thus, any further increases in atmospheric CO2 – even doubling that amount to 800 parts per million – would only result in minimal increases in atmospheric temperature of 0.5C, or 1degree Fahrenheit.

This mathematically rigorous finding was validated through a controlled laboratory experiment conducted by a team of seven Viennese researchers in 2024. They measured the back infrared radiation of CO2 in a test chamber with increasing CO2 concentrations emulating realistic atmospheric conditions. They concluded that doubling CO2 from pre-industrial levels from 400 to 800 ppm “shows no measurable increase in infrared radiation absorption, and thus can lead to just 0.5C warming increase at most”.

This conclusion illustrates the reason why climate alarmists have never been able to explain the reason why the Earth has never experienced runaway warming in the past when CO2 levels were 5-10 times more concentrated than today, nor why the UN climate models based on linear warming theory have been proven to be so terribly wrong.

If the CO2 concentration in the Earth’s atmosphere is well beyond the level where increases are causing additional radiation to be absorbed, then all the government policies intended to reduce or eliminate CO2 emissions in order to stop climate change are just as effective as King Canute’s efforts to control the tides.

In short, these saturation analyses thoroughly refute the conventional wisdom that increasing levels of CO2 will cause catastrophic global warming.

And they are not alone.

For example, in 2020 German chemist Michael Schnell published his study “Experimental Verification of the CO2 Greenhouse Effect” which also confirmed that the saturation effect of CO2 results in minimal warming. In addition, Franz-Karl Reinhardt, a professor with the leading Swiss research facility EPF, undertook another study in 2017 which demonstrated that a doubling of the current level of atmospheric CO2 from 400ppm to 800ppm would produce only be one quarter of 1 degree Celsius – too small to even be accurately measured.

The impact of all these recent studies – and there are many more than just the ones mentioned above – is clear: the conventional wisdom regarding CO2 warming is unraveling. The demonization of CO2 – one of the greatest popular delusions in modern human history – may finally be coming to an end.

It may well not be not true that an increase in CO2 causes a linear and catastrophic increase in atmospheric temperature.

The implication of CO2 saturation is a game changer, and should provide the Trump Administration with a substantial line of questioning of EPA’s Endangerment Finding.

ANSWER: Yes, I provided the array with the link to that article that WAS PUBLISHED BACK IN 2022. Here is the view of snowfall since 1869, accumulative annually. Note that once more, this shows the BS about climate change and global warming. The record for snowfall in NYC was in 1996.

Compare this to the array that was published back in 2022. They both show a trend into 2029 and that this would shift in 2025. We should be looking at colder periods, and this raises a serious risk of famine as the planet turns colder. That is, when crops fail, food prices rise, and famine increases. Everything that the LEFT has done with respect to the fake climate change has set us up for an environmental disaster. California has outlawed controlled fires, which Australia has done for a long time, so if a strip is burned out, then a raging fire has no fuel, and it stops. Whatever these people have done is precisely the opposite of what experience and history prove is true.

Remember all that alarmist guff about Antarctica sea ice recording lower levels in winter a couple of years ago? Georgina Rannard of the BBC wrote a story headed ‘Antarctic sea ice at “mind-blowing” low alarms experts‘, while Clive Cookson at the Financial Times gave us his suggestion that the area “faces a catastrophic cascade of extreme environmental events… that will affect the climate around the world”. The scare story caravan has moved on to pastures new these days, not unrelated to the fact that at the end of 2024 the extent of sea ice in Antarctica was roughly the same as the 1981 to 2010 average. According to the U.S.-based National Snow and Ice Data Centre (NSIDC), “this provides a sharp illustration of the high variability of Antarctica sea ice extent”. It does indeed, and it also provides us with a classic case study of how a short-term natural variation, well understood by many scientists, is weaponised by activists in science, politics and journalism to induce mass climate psychosis with the aim of promoting the political Net Zero lunacy.

The less hysterical NSIDC would appear to be the same NSIDC that published a paper updated as recently as last July asking, “has Antarctic sea ice hit a breaking point?”. As the Daily Sceptic has reported in the past, Antarctica has been a bit of a disappointment to the climate cry-baby crowd since it has shown little warming for at least 70 years. “Now scientists are eager to know if climate change has finally caught up with Antarctica sea ice,” notes the NSIDC paper. Helpful as ever in the mission of preaching climate Armageddon, Rannard of the BBC provides us with an “experts say” quote: “Without its ice cooling the planet, Antarctica could transform from Earth’s refrigerator to a radiator.”

Interestingly, the second author on the Rannard story was ‘data’ specialist Becky Dale who subsequently enrolled for the six-month sabbatical run by the Green Blob-funded Oxford Climate Journalism Network. This is a crash course in climate catastrophisation reporting. Previous participants have been asked to write about how fruits such as mangos are less tasty than in the past due to climate change. A recent speaker has called for “fines and imprisonment” for those expressing scepticism about “well supported” science.

The ’mind-blowing’ quote that made headlines around the world has been attributed to Dr. Walter Meier of the NSIDC. Dr Meier, reported Rannard and Dale, “is not optimistic that the sea ice will recover to a significant degree”. At the height of the scare, Meier claimed the 2023 winter dip was far outside anything we’ve seen. Again as we have reported in the Daily Sceptic, Dr. Meier seems a tad forgetful of the past work he has done on the obvious cyclical nature of Antarctica sea ice. Ten years earlier, Meier was part of a science team that unlocked the secrets of early Nimbus satellite photographs. These revealed significant Antarctica sea ice variability in the 1960s including a high in 1964, not seen again until 2014, and a low in 1966, similar to the recent dip. At the time, Meier commented that extreme ice highs and lows “are not that unusual”.

During November and December 2024, mid to late spring in the Southern Hemisphere, the daily Antarctica sea ice loss was 140,000 square kilometres compared to 165,000 sq kms for the 1981-2010 average. By the end of December the sea ice extent was roughly around the average recorded in the 30 years to 2010. Now it seems the NSIDC is a re-convert to stressing long-term trends, noting that the 2016-2024 timeline “is too short to definitely determine that a regime shift has occurred”.

Perhaps the NSIDC ought to mark the card of the British Antarctica Survey (BAS) team, who as late as May last year issued a press release claiming that the 2023 lows would be a one in 2,000 year event without climate change. Needless to say, this scaremongering twaddle was the product of a computer model. The model told the BAS that such “evidence” adds to existing observational evidence “that the last few years’ low sea ice could signal a lasting regime shift in the Southern Ocean”. More BS than BAS, the uncharitable might conclude.

Needless to say, the recent cyclical recovery in Antarctica sea ice has been ignored by mainstream media. It’s been a bad period for alarmists, coming so soon after years of record growth of coral on the Great Barrier Reef put an end to yet another profitable supply of constant alarums. Thankfully the BBC finds ever more obscure ways to keep the fast-fading Net Zero fantasy alive. Perhaps not as headline-grabbing as ice and coral, but it appears that a bumble bee has been sighted recently in Scotland. It was claimed that critters were “nest building” and this was due to climate change. Britannica does not find such a sighting very surprising, noting that in winter when the temperature outside rises above 10°C, bees will leave the hive momentarily to relieve themselves of waste. Possibly with a cheery wave and a “back in three, going for a wee”.

All of the confusion – designed to constantly promote Net Zero – arises because narrative-driven commentators assign most weather and climate changes to humans adding trace amounts of a trace gas into the atmosphere. It leaves little room for explaining the role of natural variation in the changing climate. Antarctica has not warmed for at least 70 years and a recent paper found that the summer temperature had shown a dramatic 1°C fall from 1977-1999, followed by a pause since the turn of the century.  Another paper found that Antarctica sea ice extent had slowly increased since the start of continuous satellite recordings in 1979.

This case study of the recent hyped sea ice alarm in Antarctica shows how the scientific process is torn up and ridiculous claims, often produced by computer models, are made on the flimsiest of short-term evidence and observation. Lectures on disregarding short-term variations only resume when normal, and often cyclical, trends reappear and follow inconvenient directions.

Biden Bans Natural Gas Water Heaters

Joe Biden is passing additional climate change “protections” before leaving office. Before placing a ban on offshore drilling, Biden and/or his handlers turned his attention to American households. His latest policy will prohibit Americans from purchasing natural gas water heaters.

The ban will officially begin in 2029 and natural gas-fired water heaters will no longer be available to the public. Per usual, the ban is intended to prevent carbon dioxide emissions from ending the world. Some estimate that the tanks alone will cost consumers $450 more on the initial purchase, yet you can look at the prices on any home improvement store’s website to see that the cost is far more. The true cost of operating these tanks exceeds than what the government is estimating.

There was an existing electric water tank in my home when I first purchased it. The tank was constantly heating water even when not in use. I switched out my tank for natural gas and my electric bill fell by 1/3. My current tank only heats the water when needed and should be considered more energy efficient based on my bill.

Logic has no place in the climate change agenda. Around 40% of existing water heaters on the market will be banned under this new guideline. There will be no point in manufacturing natural gas heaters as they will be irrelevant. The Department of Energy claim that tankless water heaters must rely on 13% less energy than the newest, most efficient fossil fuel model.

“Forcing low-income and senior customers to pay far more upfront is particularly concerning. DOE’s decision to go ahead with a flawed final rule is deeply disappointing,” Matthew Agen, the American Gas Association’s chief counsel for energy, told the outlet. In addition to reducing options and raising costs for consumers, the ruling is punishing an industry. Currently, Rinnai America is the only major American manufacturer of tankless water heaters.

Yet, Rinnai America is against the ban, too. “Our point has always been—I think that the incoming administration will understand this—why would you eliminate a higher efficiency product category? It makes no sense. It makes no sense at all,” Frank Windsor, the president of water heater manufacturer Rinnai America, told the Free Beacon in an interview. “If you really want to impact the water heating ruling, you really need to deal with the tank models.”

Still, the climate change zealots are cheering the claim that the ban will reduce 32 million metric tons of emissions. The Department of Energy has claimed that Americans can enjoy saving $112 over a 20 year span.

“One of the things we see is an antipathy towards natural gas versions of appliances because natural gas is a fossil fuel and they want to electrify everything. When you see bad regulations from the Biden administration, usually it has something to do with climate change,” Ben Lieberman, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute.

The American Gas Association believes the “irresponsible” prohibition is illegal. “The final rule is a violation of the Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA), which prohibits DOE from promulgating a standard that renders a product with a distinct performance characteristic unavailable. To make matters worse, DOE’s own analysis claims that the average life-cycle cost savings would amount to barely $112 over the entire 20-year average product life. DOE’s final rule is unjustifiable on legal and practical grounds.” AGA is suing the DOE over a similar issue.

Build Back Better leaders, who are not leaders but puppets of the globalist NWO, have not hesitated to abandon their people and country in the name of climate change. It is of no surprise that Biden is pushing through these unpopular proposals at the eleventh hour. Donald Trump will likely spend the beginning of his term fighting to undo all the damage the Biden-Harris regime has done in the name of climate change.
