Former Democrat Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe Tells Current Democrat Governor Ralph “Coonman” Northam: “He’s got to go”…

Superbowl LIII – A Historic Low Point & Low Viewership?

The Patriots beat the Rams but only a score of 13-3. Superbowl LIII (53) at half-time was the second lowest scoring game in history. The first half of Sunday’s game between the Patriots and the Rams ended in the second lowest scoring first half in a Super Bowl at 3–0, New England. It was 44 years ago when the Steelers led the Vikings 2–0 at half time in Super Bowl IX back in 1975. About 103.4 million people watched Superbowl LII last year, which was the smallest audience for television’s biggest yearly event since 2009. Note the year – 2009. Interestingly enough, when the economy turns down, so do sports. The all-time record high for viewership was 114.4 million for the Patriots-Seahawks game back in 2015, peaking with the Economic Confidence Model. It is curious that in good-times, when everyone is fat and happy, we do not see wars and we see sports do well. The sharp decline post-2015 seems to be correlating with the economy. True, the US economy has been holding up the world. But its growth rates has been steadily declining.

Last year’s Super Bowl (LII) came down to the wire, with Nick Foles leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a 41-33 victory over the Tom Brady-led New England Patriots. That stunning victory for Philadelphia over the favorite, was down significantly in viewership. Last year, I noted that just looking at the risk analysis, it appeared that Tom Brady, New England’s quarterback, had peaked. He entered the NFL in 2000 and he is one of only two players to win five Super Bowls (the other being defensive player Charles Haley) and the only player to win them all playing for one team. Last year he lost to the Philadelphia Eagles. Cyclically reviewing the prospects, Tom Brady appeared to have peaked with his win in 2017 which was 17 years (2 * 8.6) from the beginning of his career. Here we have in Superbowl LIII, certainly a very low scoring game.

How do we measure this peak? Points, wins, or viewership?

From a point perspective, scoring 13 points compared to last year’s 33 points for Brady was a significant decline. So was this just a reaction rally within a broader declining trend? In case you were wondering, six points is the fewest scored through the first three quarters in Super Bowl history. When we get the final viewership numbers, I suspect we will see the bear market decline still in motion. Then there are the pundits that say the Patriots’ Super Bowl win warns of a bear market for the stock market. That is one of the popular myths as is the rise and fall of women’s skirts – very short like the Roaring ’20s = bull market; down to the ankles in the ’30s was the sign of depression.

The End of our Society is now Upon us, May God Forgive us for Allowing this to Happen!

The State of New York just passed a law that allows abortions right up to the moment of birth. As the bill was signed Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo and the Democratic legislature stood up applauding in a ghoulish celebration of death.

Not to be outdone a Virginia Democratic state legislator proposed a bill that would allow abortions right up to the time of dilation. Virginia’s Democratic Governor Ralph Northam went even further. If at the time of birth an abortion is unsuccessful, and the baby is delivered alive, he or she will be kept comfortable until the decision is made to end the child’s life. What Northam describes is infanticide, the killing of a baby outside the womb. Doctors are currently serving life sentences for this type of barbaric behavior. Thankfully there was enough human decency left in Virginia’s state legislature to kill this obscene bill.

What happened to the Democrats who wanted abortion to be “safe, legal, and rare?” New York’s law now makes it legal for non-doctors to perform abortions. Apparently, safety is no longer a concern. Being rare was never a concern. They now want abortions whenever, wherever and for any reason. The mask is off and evil is on full display. Babies feel pain in the second trimester. New York’s law allows fully developed babies to be crushed and sucked out of their mother’s womb.

The term “slippery slope” doesn’t begin to describe where this criminal behavior might lead. If the left succeeds in making the killing of these viable human beings acceptable who might be next? The infirm who are old? The infirm who are young? And who decides? The death panels that Barack Obama dismissed as Republican illusions have arrived.

Eight days since the signing of the bill and not a word from Pope Francis.

Horror – Virginia Governor Endorses Post Birth Abortion…

This is the second time in two weeks when we have seen an actual public policy discussion where Democrats are casually advocating for ‘post-birth abortion’.   I can’t even type about this level of sheer horror without praying…. Madness. Evil madness.  How is this conversation even possible?

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, who is a pediatrician, is asked about a new State bill (thankfully it failed) that would have lifted all restrictions on third trimester abortions in Virginia.

If a mother is in labor…the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother”

Great news! A Virginia bill that would have removed all protections for babies in the womb, and even allowed abortion on babies 9 months in utero during active labor, has been defeated. https://www.liveaction.org/news/virginia-democrat-abortion-bill-labor/ …

Virginia Democrat admits new bill allows for abortion… even during labor

The Repeal Act would remove all existing abortion restrictions in the state, and would even allow abortion if a woman wants abortion while in active labor.

Abortion in the last trimester is Immoral — Period the End!

The state of New York has passed a law that permits the killing of a baby right up to the moment of birth. At the time the bill was signed Governor Andrew Cuomo and the state legislature stood in unison and acted out a ghoulish celebration.

Equally disturbing was a subsequent interview with New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan as he struggled to give a full throated condemnation to the Catholic governor who signed the bill. Dolan sounded more like a politician than a leader of the Catholic Church. So far the progressive Pope Francis has not weighed in.

We are All Connected & for an End Game Purpose

COMMENT:  Dear Mr. Armstrong,
I’m reading your blog for 10 years, every single day, first thing in the morning. It changed me and my views on events in pretty much everything.
I want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU for your titanic work, that you made available to people around the world, changing them for the better.
I don’t know how you are able to wear so many hats plus write for us every single day. You are one of those few geniuses, like A. Einstein, who expand the horizons for many.
Happy New Year 2019, dear Martin! I wish you and your team all the best in the new year and on for always!
Yours Truly,
VL (Russia)

REPLY: I know, I seem to be addicted to work. Thank you very much for your comment. From my side, I am very glad we have so many readers in Russia. There were 37 countries represented at the WEC event in Orlando this year. It was Margaret Thatcher who remarked to me that I reminded her of Winston Churchill. She said we both had a passion for history and we were the best at what we took interest in. Maggie told me she entered politics before 1948. She was a member of the Conservative activist “Vermin Club,” and she ran for Parliament in 1950, 1951, 1954, and finally won her first seat in 1959. She knew Churchill and served in Parliament with him as an MP for five years until Winston left Parliament in 1964. She understood cycles and even spoke at our conference back in 1996.

My philosophy is we learn something from every person we meet, be it good or bad. Our clients have always been special. They are themselves all geniuses because a genius is NOT someone who knows everything. Rather, a genius is someone who looks outside the box and is not afraid to explore. By definition, a genius MUST be someone who challenges the status quo with logic. A member of the staff at Princeton University told me I reminded him of Einstein because I was curious and would always look for the answer regardless of the field. Indeed, Einstein maintained that imagination was the key. I put together the monetary history of the Roman Empire to see simply how it fell. Was it a sudden crash (Waterfall) or was it like a 747 coming in for a gradual landing.

Therefore, if you are reading this blog, you MUST be in this same category. You MUST be thinking outside the box like Einstein and Churchill and seeking answers. Only such thinkers discover anything. Because of Maggie, I took the time to read up on Churchill. Those raising children should pay attention to the signs of a free thinker.

“Clearly there was something odd here. Winston, Davidson had conceded, was the ablest boy in his form. He was, in fact, remarkable. His grasp of history was outstanding. Yet he was considered a hopeless pupil. It occurred to no one that the fault might lie, not in the boy, but in the school. Samuel Butler defined genius as “a supreme capacity for getting its possessors into trouble of all kinds,” and it is ironic that geniuses are likeliest to be misunderstood in classrooms. Studies at the University of Chicago and the University of Minnesota have found that teachers smile on children with high IQs and frown upon those with creative minds. Intelligent but uncreative students accept conformity, never rebel, and complete their assignments with dispatch and to perfection. The creative child, on the other hand, is manipulative, imaginative, and intuitive. He is likely to harass the teacher. He is regarded as wild, naughty, silly, undependable, lacking in seriousness or even promise. His behavior is distracting; he doesn’t seem to be trying; he gives unique answers to banal questions, touching off laughter among the other children. E. Paul Tor-rance of Minnesota found that 70 percent of pupils rated high in creativ¬ity were rejected by teachers picking a special class for the intellectually gifted. The Goertzels concluded that a Stanford study of genius, under which teachers selected bright children, would have excluded Churchill, Edison, Picasso, and Mark Twain.

None of this was known to Welldon and his staff, but as term succeeded term an awareness grew among them that Winston was a baffling boy. He couldn’t, or wouldn’t, learn the ablative absolute – a minor feat of memory – but he could recite twelve hundred lines of Macaulay.”

So I thank one and all. We now have readers in more than 100 countries. We are all connected and perhaps we can contribute when the time comes. We are all in this mess together albeit not by our own actions or choice. But just remember, you can lead a horse to water but you cannot force him to drink. We, unfortunately, are in that position. We cannot change the outcome. Nobody will listen. We must remain patient and firm. When the time comes for the crash and burn, then and only then will we have a fleeting moment to turn the course of history in the right direction.

We must grasp one thing. The rational components of human knowledge stand in opposition to all propositions that are arrived at by purely unbiased logical means derived from empirical research, and, in truth, they are completely void of all reality. The talking heads believe they must assign some rational explanation to every move in the markets. They only perpetuate myths and are just void of any reality or logic in the absence of empirical research in favor of presumption. They lack any understanding of the bell curve effect and it is like wine. A glass of red wine is good for the heart. A bottle of red wine is bad for the liver. Anything can kill you if taken to extremes – cold as well as heat. Just remember the bell curve – all things possess a cycle.
