Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and President Donald Trump were friends before Mr. Trump entered politics.  First lady Melania Trump and Akie Abe were also friends, and the two couples spent a great deal of time together before and during President Trump’s term in office.

Following the assassination attempt, President Trump released the following statement via Truth Social:  “Absolutely devastating news that former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan, a truly great man and leader, has been shot, and is in very serious condition. He was a true friend of mine and, much more importantly, America. This is a tremendous blow to the wonderful people of Japan, who loved and admired him so much. We are all praying for Shinzo and his beautiful family!”

The very popular Shinzo Abe, a longtime friend of President Trump, stepped down as Prime Minister of Japan in 2020, but has been campaigning for various politicians as he remains active in politics.   An assassin shot him moments ago:

TOKYO — Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot and gravely injured while campaigning Friday in south-central Japan, according to public broadcaster NHK.

Abe, Japan’s longest-serving prime minister, was giving a speech in the city of Nara when he was shot around 11:30 a.m. (10:30 p.m. Thursday ET). NHK, citing the local fire department, reported that Abe was in a state of “cardiopulmonary arrest.” It said the suspected shooter appeared to have been apprehended.

Elections for the upper house of the Japanese Parliament are Sunday. Abe, 67, who stepped down in 2020, was campaigning for other members of the governing Liberal Democratic Party but is not a candidate himself. (LINK)

Oil and Gasoline Prices Start Moderating as Economy and Consumer Demand Drops

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on July 7, 2022 | Sundance

The Energy Information Agency has finally updated “on road” diesel prices after a month of frozen data [SEE HERE].  Conspicuously, the technical “glitch” correction is resolved [statement here] as the price for diesel starts to drop a little.

Oil prices are showing a drop in price, and subsequently gasoline prices are starting to moderate.  Unfortunately, as noted at The Hill, the drop in price is not related to an increase in production, but rather a decline in consumer demand.

WASHINGTON – The price of U.S. crude oil was hovering around $98 per barrel on Wednesday afternoon, down from about $108 late last week. Brent crude fell to about $101 per barrel, down from about $111 late last week.

[…] “We’re on the cusp of seeing more savings,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at gas price tracking site GasBuddy. “I’m trying to be a little bit optimistic here that this relief could make its entire way to the pump in the weeks ahead.”

[…]  “The average price per gallon could fall 40 to 65 cents over the coming weeks,” he said, adding that the drop could be over a three- to six-week period.

“Stations are getting lower prices already,” he added. “Prices could go down a penny or two every day or two for the next six weeks as long as nothing changes.”

Experts say the decline is a double-edged sword, since the cheaper price isn’t due to any real changes on the supply side but rather to consumers scaling back their expenses and pulling down the expectation of demand.  (read more)

With factory demand dropping precipitously, claims for unemployment starting to increase, consumers being squeezed by continued inflation in energy, gasoline, food and housing, we would expect to see a drop in oil prices for all the wrong reasons.   Supply is not increasing, consumers are cutting back on all activities, including driving.   A recession always leads to lower oil prices.

This information comes on the heels of Reuters publishing an explosive article about oil from the Strategic Oil Reserve being released and sold to foreign countries rather than used for refineries in the United States.

(Reuters) – More than 5 million barrels of oil that were part of a historic U.S. emergency reserves release to lower domestic fuel prices were exported to Europe and Asia last month, according to data and sources, even as U.S. gasoline and diesel prices hit record highs. (read more)

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson Resigns

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on July 7, 2022 | Sundance

Facing a blistering amount of criticism for several false statements, U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced today he was resigning.

Prime Minister Johnson took to the podium outside Ten Downing Street with a massive number of cameras and media microphones awaiting his predictable announcement.

The Daily Mail has all the details – SEE HERE.

I would not be surprised to see the British leftists try to use this opportunity and overthrow the Brexit movement, fighting -once again- to get back into the European Union.

Dutch Protest: No Farmers, No Food

Armstrong Economics Blog/Agriculture Re-Posted Jul 7, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

The Dutch farmers are pushing back against a new law that plans to reduce nitrogen oxide and ammonia emissions by 50% by 2030. These gases are produced by livestock, and some estimate that 30% of livestock farms will close under the new plan. “The honest message … is that not all farmers can continue their business,” Prime Minister Mark Rutte coldly said.

We have an ongoing food supply shortage globally, and this is something that will affect everyone. These farmers are protesting for all of us. Other industries that are known to produce emissions have more relaxed rules under the new restrictions such as aviation, transportation, and construction. Why unfairly target farmers? It is a deliberate attempt to exacerbate the food supply shortage to push forward the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) agenda for the Great Reset. Again, the WEF is transparent about its plans but no one wants to see what is staring them in the face.

The farmers are not afraid to fight back. Last week, around 40,000 people gathered to protest the absurd ruling. Protestors have blocked food distribution centers and used tractors to block access to supermarket distribution centers. They are simply providing the government of a preview of life with a drastically reduced food supply.

There are currently 54,000 agricultural businesses in the Netherlands. Agriculture exports from the nation reached $99 million USD in 2019. This law benefits absolutely no one and simply caters to the globalist agenda. People cannot protest or fight back when they are hungry. I have warned countless times that people should begin stockpiling food now while there is still time. Although this is not an apocalyptic scenario, prices will spike and availability will diminish.

Dominion Voting Systems Linked to Soros

Armstrong Economics Blog/Corruption Re-Posted Jul 7, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

We already knew the system was rigged – but how far does it go? This picture, albeit poor quality, has been circulating the internet and shows traitor Trudeau “testing” the Dominion Voting System. Standing behind him is none other than Alex Soros, George Soros’ son who is now doing the footwork for his dad.

Rebel News entered the building headquarters for Dominion Voting Systems. The investigative journalist found an odd link as a group linked directly to Soros also works in that building. They attempted to remove their office number from the building directory and even have a guard outside. The journalist is asking all the right questions. What happened to the data stored from prior elections? Is there a backdoor within the system that could be used to tamper with elections? “Accurate, reliable, and transparent,” ironically is their slogan.

The same agency handling our elections has handed mass amounts of money to politicians, on the left, including Hillary Clinton. Dominion Voting Systems has disrupted democracy, and our elections can no longer be trusted. Dead people have mysteriously cast votes, people do not need to show IDs to vote, and there is actual footage of “mules” voting countless times. While I am not one to encourage additional laws, permitting blatant voter fraud to occur is destroying democracy. If the masses knew the truth, we would be propelled further into the inevitable cycle that is leading us to the death of democracy.

No National Politician Will Go There – However, at Least Tucker Carlson Does

One of the most frustrating aspects to our current state of national affairs is that no politician will articulate the basic commonsense problem, and how the people handling Joe Biden are directly to blame for it.  Instead, DC and national politicians talk around it, all of them pretending not to know.

However, at least there is one voice in Tucker Carlson who articulates the economic and political reality in a framework that most can understand.

In his opening monologue tonight, Carlson succinctly points out how the current state of economic anxiety is directly the result of Joe Biden chasing the Green New Deal initiatives that progressive, communist democrats have advocated for years.  WATCH:

The energy crisis is intentional.  The food crisis is intentional.  Everything that is happening domestically in our economic crisis is happening intentionally.  All of the problems are the result of intentional policy decisions.

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson Under Pressure to Resign, Nigel Farage Gives His Take on the Beginning of the End for Boris

It emerged yesterday that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson — having previously claimed no knowledge — was warned about alleged sexual misconduct by a cabinet member named Chris Pincher. Mr. Pincher is accused of sexually touching male aides on several occasions in the past, and Prime Minister Johnson was warned about the issue at least five times since July 2019, yet he did nothing.

Against a backdrop of partygate and odd scandals in his administration, now everyone in British politics is using the Pincher scandal to go after Johnson. [Daily Mail Has Details]

Several high-level members of Johnson’s government have resigned.  A total of more than 35 members of his government have left their position [Details Here] as the apex of the mob now descends on 10 Downing Street and the British media are in a frenzy.  The big question is, ‘will Boris Johnson survive?’  Nigel Farage gives his take. {Direct Rumble Link} – Video Below:
