Elected politicians no longer represent us. Amazingly, against all common sense, an elderly British couple received a letter in the mail from their city council (municipal government) informing them that the authorities were preparing to seize their newly purchased £200,000 home and use it to house migrants. They then charge you for any repairs they have to do.
