Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Signs Anti-Riot Bill Which Also Includes Civil Immunity For Drivers Who Hit Road-Blocking Protestors

Posted originally on the conservative tree house April 19, 2021 | Sundance | 60 Comments

Earlier Monday Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed HB1, a new bill from the Florida legislature that establishes new criminal definitions under the anti-riot law.  The House and Senate worked on the legislation for a year after Governor Ron DeSantis led the initial effort.

[HB1] “defines a “riot” as a public disturbance involving three or more people “acting with the common intent to assist each other in violent and disorderly conduct” that results in injury to another person, damage to property, or danger of injury or damage.

The law grants civil immunity to people who drive into protesters who are blocking a road, prevents people accused of rioting from bailing out of jail until after their first court appearance, and increases penalties for assaulting law-enforcement officers while engaging in a “riot.”  It also penalizes local governments that interfere with efforts to stop a riot and allows law-enforcement agencies that face funding reductions to file objections.” (link)

The anti-riot law titled “Combating Public Disorder,” creates a new crime of “mob intimidation,” enhance penalties for riot-related looting and violence and create an affirmative defense for individuals who injure or kill violent protesters.  Polk County Sheriff Grady Judge spoke at the signing.

Medical Examiner Says Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick Died From Natural Causes, Two Strokes the Day After the January 6th DC Protest

All of the endless media hours and column inches written about the death of Capitol Hill Police Officer Brian Sicknick were lies.

Lies built by corporate and political media, upon more lies pushed by media pundits.  All Lies.

The DC Medical Examiner released findings today showing Sicknick died from natural causes, blood clots and two strokes suffered on the day after the Capitol Hill Protest:

Glenn Greenwald – […] It was crucial for liberal sectors of the media to invent and disseminate a harrowing lie about how Officer Brian Sicknick died. That is because he is the only one they could claim was killed by pro-Trump protesters at the January 6 riot at the Capitol.

[…] Because the truth usually prevails, at least ultimately, their lies, yet again, all came crashing down on their heads on Monday. The District of Columbia’s chief medical examiner earlier this morning issued his official ruling in the Sicknick case, and it was so definitive that The Washington Post — one of the media outlets that had pushed the multiple falsehoods — did not even bother to try to mask or mitigate the stark conclusion it revealed. The Washington Post – […] Capitol Police officer Brian D. Sicknick suffered two strokes and died of natural causes a day after he confronted rioters at the Jan. 6 insurrection, the District’s chief medical examiner has ruled.

[…] The ruling, released Monday, will make it difficult for prosecutors to pursue homicide charges in the officer’s death. In an interview with The Washington Post, Francisco J. Diaz, the medical examiner, said the autopsy found no evidence the 42-year-old officer suffered an allergic reaction to chemical irritants, which Diaz said would have caused Sicknick’s throat to quickly seize. Diaz also said there was no evidence of internal or external injuries. (read more)

The DOJ has Always Been a Political Tool

Armstrong Economics Blog/Rule of Law Re-Posted Apr 19, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: You said that Barr would not defend Trump. Are you implying that the DOJ is just a tool of the President?

GH

ANSWER: Absolutely. Barr would not appoint even a special counsel to investigate Biden’s son. That was clearly an indication that he was there to protect the swamp and had no intention of being independent whatsoever. Had Barr appointed a special prosecutor, then Biden could not shut down the investigation. Every step Barr made was against Trump.

The documentary film “Atticus V. The Architect” exposes how Karl Rove used the Department of Justice to stop the former governor of Alabama from rising to a potential presidential candidate. This film uncovers the truth behind a hijacked election here in the USA and how the power to indict people should NEVER rest in the hands of any government. Barr would NEVER investigate Hillary, and in her interview with the FBI, Comey never bothered to take notes to ensure she could never be charged with perjury, as was the case with Martha Stewart who they indicted for lying to the FBI in such an interview.

Any criminal lawyer could tell you the truth that the FBI will ALWAYS take such notes just to make sure they can indict you for a lie. Comey took notes in speaking to Trump, but not Hillary. The swamp may actually have been filled in, but with so much bullshit, now weeds are growing so tall as to obscure the view.

Sunday Talks, Devin Nunes Outlines How Leftist Democrats are Helping China and Intelligence Community Now Openly Spying on American Citizens

Representative Devin Nunes appears with Maria Bartiromo for an in-dept discussion on current political events.  Within the conversation Nunes outlines how leftist politicians are helping China to achieve their objectives.  More alarmingly Nunes, the ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, outlines how the U.S. intelligence apparatus is now focusing inwardly to target American citizens they consider subversive.

Additionally, Nunes outlines a current process within the Navy to identify conservative service-members and target them for removal.

Please keep in mind the warnings provided on these pages about DHS now starting to assemble lists of dissident citizens under the guise of domestic extremists. {Go Deep}  Also remind yourself the same DHS and FBI are now using private contractors embedded in Big Tech to scour public information on social media and provide feedback to help DHS assemble those lists. {Go Deep}

Take the outline that Nunes describes in the interview, and build it one step further…. This well-written report about the recent Senate Armed Services Committee discussion with the National Security Agency (NSA) needs to be absorbed with the prior information as context.  These paragraphs are alarming in the extreme (emphasis mine):

[…] “Several members of the Senate Armed Services Committee on Thursday voiced their support for expanded authorities for the NSA and U.S. Cyber Command to conduct more intelligence gathering domestically, something that the Biden administration already is exploring, according to Gen. Paul Nakasone, who leads both agencies.”

“Former NSA general counsel Glenn Gertstell has argued that an expansion of NSA authorities to collect domestic intelligence is overdue. “It can’t possibly be the case that the Fourth Amendment ties our hands in such a way that we just have to sit there and watch the Chinese romp through our infrastructure,” he told the Wall Street Journal in March. The Fourth Amendment protects against unreasonable searches and [NSA Director] Nakasone cited it as a key obstacle to potential expansion of the NSA’s powers domestically.” (read more)

The Fourth Amendment is an “obstacle“?….  WTF kind of outlook is that.

Sunday Talks, Governor Ron DeSantis Discusses Illegal Alien Crisis, Reckless ICE Policies and Current Legislative Defenses

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis appears with Maria Bartiromo to discuss the current crisis at the border and how reckless the ICE and Border Patrol policies are by the JoeBama administration.  DeSantis points out the issues with criminal aliens not being deported and how sanctuary cities are a dangerous incentive for more illegal migration.

The Florida governor discusses how lawsuits by Florida are progressing and gives an update on the election reform bill currently going through the Florida Senate.  Of note, DeSantis stresses the importance of signature verification and ID to vote in elections as well as the efforts underway to prohibit ballot-harvesting.  Additionally, DeSantis talks about the battle against multinational corporations influencing legislation and the Big Tech censorship issue.

The governor reemphasizes the intent of Florida law to block vaccination passports and drawing “a line in the sand” based on privacy; while highlighting the effective COVID controls instituted by his administration.   Overall, a strong policy interview, WATCH:

Congresswoman Maxine Waters Demands Guilty Verdict in Derek Chauvin Trial, Without It She Encourages Violent Confrontation In The Streets

82-year-old Maxine Waters is one of the most vitriolic racial antagonizers in the nation.  During the George Zimmerman trial Maxine Waters demanded a guilty verdict.  During the investigation of Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson she demanded a murder indictment based on the demonstrably false “hands-up, don’t shoot” claims.  After the 2016 election Waters demanded that people physically confront Trump officials in restaurants and gas stations, “get up in their faces” and make them uncomfortable; in short, Maxine Waters consistently demands political violence.

There is zero doubt in my mind that Obama’s crew of racial antagonists are orchestrating and manipulating events around the trial of Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd.  All political arrows are being deployed from the quiver of racial hate and division.  Even the racially driven comments by Meghan Markle on the eve of the trial beginning were not random.   The activated political leftists are once again drum-beating for violent confrontation.

Following her pattern, the California representative traveled to Minnesota’s riot-plagued Brooklyn Center last night and called for people to get even “more confrontational” if Derek Chauvin is acquitted. She is blatantly endorsing political violence and mob anarchy. “We’re looking for a guilty verdict” she said, adding “If we don’t, we cannot go away, we’ve got to get more confrontational.” WATCH:

President Donald Trump Has Dinner With Florida Governor Ron DeSantis

Posted originally on the conservative tree house April 18, 2021 | Sundance | 280 Comments

Hope springs eternal.   President Trump had dinner last night with MAGA Governor Ron DeSantis….

.

CTH pointed out something a few weeks ago that bears repeating.  There is a video which some have watched below; however, I would challenge readers and supporters of the America First agenda to re-watch the video with the sound “off”.

.

Keep the sound off and…. notice the mannerisms.  Look familiar?

Faith…

All around us is this great sense of foreboding ugh, and it’s not just connected to an election, or politics; it’s everything.  We notice it appearing on these very pages, in our conversation… in the expressions of our anxiety.  Many things seem weird; many things seem not comfortable; many things seem less joyful and require an intensity of thought and focus just to carry-on what used to be ordinary events.

In our daily lives we encounter ordinary disconnects now.  In addition to the increased tribalism, masked faces are disconnecting our sense of interaction, our human connection. Unfortunately, and as a natural outcome of these challenges, we are accepting disconnect and creating a void inside ourselves.

At the same time COVID is physically disconnecting people from their family.  Many parents and grandparents will not see their adult children.  Many friends have disconnected.

Amid all of this flux and ugh, even simple tasks somehow feel, sense, seem less joyful.  Perhaps financial worry exists amid your home, your family or friends. Perhaps there is something destabilizing, we cannot quite describe it, yet we feel it.

Perhaps tears flow at times and we struggle to understand what this unusual anxiety is all about.  Perhaps our own tempers are short, less willing to allow trespasses to be forgiven.  Then, amid our human condition, we begin to struggle with the feeling of shame or guilt for being weak and allowing our humanity to pour out of our human-selves.  Then, at the worst possible time our faith organizations are slow to understand the importance of fellowship and community amid an upheaval that takes our center from under our feet.

Regional leadership might even make this anxiety worse.  As our grip on our familiar surroundings becomes more tenuous, we are faced with dictates and mandates that only exacerbate the issues.  The media drumbeat an incessant noise that destabilizes us and yet we cannot quite put our finger on why the impact is worse now…. it is all ugh.

It is all just, ugh.

If you find the assembly of these words familiar to your current sense, first understand YOU ARE NOT ALONE.  Second, understand there is nothing wrong with you.  This blanket of anxiety is laying across our entire nation, and we are all sensing a various level of this ‘ugh’ with some familiarity.  However, that said, it is important to know this is transitional.  We will not be in this place long.  This too shall pass.

How do we shake these destabilizing feelings and emotions?

How do we reconnect to the core-spirit we carry in our lives?

These are the questions we should use to leverage ourselves back to a center of peace and hope.   These are the questions that empower us to recharge of our sense of purpose and life within the lives of others, including our community, family and friends.

♦ The first way we shake this ‘ugh’, is to give to others without reservation.  Giving with purpose is the true spirit of human contact.  The giving is not related to money or wealth; the giving is related to our human purpose.  Perhaps we give a smile.  Perhaps we give a kind word.  Perhaps we give a compliment, or perhaps we just give time to another.  You control your impact.  You can choose to be the light that pushes back against the foreboding.

You could give a gift to another or perhaps send an email; or better yet write a letter to a dear friend or family member.  Reach out and tell them they matter and express why their place in this life of yours is important.  Remind them of your specific thankfulness, and connect to the purpose of why we endeavor in this thing we call life.  The important thing is to give, and to do it without any other intent or purpose than to fill your own heart.

♦ Within the giving, remind yourself what this journey is all about and look around to recognize how fortunate we are to have this life.  Choose to accept and cherish the ultimate gift from a loving God who wants joy and hope to permeate our human sense.

Hope is the one necessary human element beyond all other facets of life.  Give the gift of hope and light to those you love by first reminding yourself of the gift that a loving God has given us all.  It is too easy in our human sense to forget the biggest gift we have been granted, the gift of life.  The ability to live and choose how we engage in the lives of others.  We still have that… we will always have that.

No politics or false sense of security can overwhelm the message of HOPE that a loving God has provided. No effort of man or human disposition can surmount the greatest love of all. “No power of hell, nor scheme of man” can come close to the purpose of God’s intent and love for you as a unique person qualified to receive that love.

Wrap yourself in the blanket of that unconditional love.

Let the tears flow if needed and with them release the foreboding.  Engage in the next moment with a loving purpose filled with the HOPE that He provides.  Fall forward to the centered purpose of your life, a very special life, and reflect on the gift we are too quick to diminish.

“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost.”

‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1-6

.

A Prayer – Lord, help me to hear you saying, “I am your hope” over all the other voices. Lord, your word says, you are the hope for hopeless so I’m running to you with both hands stretched out and grabbing on to you. Fill me up with hope and give me a tangible reminder today that hope is an unbreakable spiritual lifeline (Hebrews 6:19-20).

God, you know those things in my heart that I barely dare to hope for, today I give them to you, I trust them to you, and ask that you because I know that you can do more than I could ever guess, imagine or request in wildest dreams (Eph 3:20). God, you are my hope and I trust you. Amen.

Abiding love to all.

Steadfast,

The Missing Link!

The current method of treatment for SARS-COV-2 has been do nothing for the infected and wait for the Vaccines. Where has this come from well — its what we have been told by Dr. Fauci and the media cabal, ever since the virus first came out. While waiting for the vaccine we were to stay home and wear a mask practice social distancing and avoid any contact with every other human on the planet; and if we got the virus we should stay home and wait for a vaccine. It was only if we got really sick should we go to the hospital for treatment. Anyone that deviated from narrative was cancelled.

Dr. Peter McCullough In the presentation below to the Texas Senate explains why those policies were criminal (my interpretation of what he said).

This presentation begged the question as to why were all the protocols and available safe and effective therapeutics ignored and worse removed from the public space. Dr. McCullough doesn’t explain that but I will since there is only one person who bears the responsibility for all the people that have died needlessly and that is Bill Gates. Gates who made his money though very questionable business practices in the 1990’s cared only about making money, and he was ruthless. I watched that happen as all the good software disappeared. Gates learned early on that it was very important to make sure that the right politicians were taken care of more than good software. That was the secret to his success. Gates’ software was never the best so he just made sure that the other companies were eliminated or acquired by him. When he left Microsoft he was one of the richest persons in the world.

But Gates wasn’t happy with that so he created the Bill and Melisa Gates Foundation and quickly though gifts and investments focused on two areas “climate Change” and “over population” where he thought he could change the world. Whether Gates actually believed in climate change or not he changed directions early on to focusing on health care and in particular the US Center of Disease Control (CDC) and the Nation Institute of Health (NIH). To gain control of these two institutions he used some of his immense wealth and with that money he gave large grants and thereby gained control of the NIH and Dr. Anthony Fauci. Dr. Fauci will go down in history as one of the worlds worst villains on par with the worst of the Hitler era criminals e.g. Himmler, Spears, Eicke, and Glucks who set up and ran the extermination camps.

An important fact is that Gates is not an educated man and he did not graduate from college he quit to start Microsoft. However, that being said , there is no denying that he is a very intelligent person and a very ruthless businessman. What he was missing was empathy and humility. His lack of a formal education allowed him to develop simplistic solutions to very complex problems for which he was not qualified to to even discuss let alone participate in. But that didn’t matter when you have the kind of money he had he could do what ever he wanted.

Gates thought that if he could gain the rains of power over Western Civilization like Hitler in Germany he could make the changes needed to create a progressive utopia. Not all that long ago he joined up with Klaus Schwab and Thierry Malleret from the World Economics Form (WEF) and they came up with a program to re-imagine economics and governance through a process called “The Great Rest.” There were two aspects to this bizarre thinking: “New Monterey Theory” (NMT) and the use of a virus to destroy the existing economic system; so they “Could Build Back Better.” All three of these people are totally insane. But Gates is the worst of them has he has the money! So I predict that in the coming years, no later than the late 2020’s Gates will be a wanted man for what he did to humanity.

One Parent of New York City Indoctrination School Has Had Enough

Posted originally on the conservative tree house April 17, 2021 | Sundance | 101 Comments

Brearley is a private all-girls school on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York City.  Tuition costs $54,000 a year and prospective families apparently have to take an “anti-racism pledge” to be considered for admission.  However, one family has had enough of the indoctrination machine and penned an eloquent letter explaining their reason for removing their daughter.

April 13, 2021

Dear Fellow Brearley Parents,

Our family recently made the decision not to reenroll our daughter at Brearley for the 2021-22 school year. She has been at Brearley for seven years, beginning in kindergarten. In short, we no longer believe that Brearley’s administration and Board of Trustees have any of our children’s best interests at heart. Moreover, we no longer have confidence that our daughter will receive the quality of education necessary to further her development into a critically thinking, responsible, enlightened, and civic minded adult. I write to you, as a fellow parent, to share our reasons for leaving the Brearley community but also to urge you to act before the damage to the school, to its community, and to your own child’s education is irreparable.

It cannot be stated strongly enough that Brearley’s obsession with race must stop. It should be abundantly clear to any thinking parent that Brearley has completely lost its way. The administration and the Board of Trustees have displayed a cowardly and appalling lack of leadership by appeasing an anti-intellectual, illiberal mob, and then allowing the school to be captured by that same mob. What follows are my own personal views on Brearley’s antiracism initiatives, but these are just a handful of the criticisms that I know other parents have expressed.

I object to the view that I should be judged by the color of my skin. I cannot tolerate a school that not only judges my daughter by the color of her skin, but encourages and instructs her to prejudge others by theirs. By viewing every element of education, every aspect of history, and every facet of society through the lens of skin color and race, we are desecrating the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and utterly violating the movement for which such civil rights leaders believed, fought, and died.

I object to the charge of systemic racism in this country, and at our school. Systemic racism, properly understood, is segregated schools and separate lunch counters. It is the interning of Japanese and the exterminating of Jews. Systemic racism is unequivocally not a small number of isolated incidences over a period of decades. Ask any girl, of any race, if they have ever experienced insults from friends, have ever felt slighted by teachers or have ever suffered the occasional injustice from a school at which they have spent up to 13 years of their life, and you are bound to hear grievances, some petty, some not. We have not had systemic racism against Blacks in this country since the civil rights reforms of the 1960s, a period of more than 50 years. To state otherwise is a flat-out misrepresentation of our country’s history and adds no understanding to any of today’s societal issues. If anything, longstanding and widespread policies such as affirmative action, point in precisely the opposite direction.

I object to a definition of systemic racism, apparently supported by Brearley, that any educational, professional, or societal outcome where Blacks are underrepresented is prima facie evidence of the aforementioned systemic racism, or of white supremacy and oppression. Facile and unsupported beliefs such as these are the polar opposite to the intellectual and scientific truth for which Brearley claims to stand. Furthermore, I call bullshit on Brearley’s oft-stated assertion that the school welcomes and encourages the truly difficult and uncomfortable conversations regarding race and the roots of racial discrepancies.

I object to the idea that Blacks are unable to succeed in this country without aid from government or from whites. Brearley, by adopting critical race theory, is advocating the abhorrent viewpoint that Blacks should forever be regarded as helpless victims, and are incapable of success regardless of their skills, talents, or hard work. What Brearley is teaching our children is precisely the true and correct definition of racism.

I object to mandatory anti-racism training for parents, especially when presented by the rent-seeking charlatans of Pollyanna. These sessions, in both their content and delivery, are so sophomoric and simplistic, so unsophisticated and inane, that I would be embarrassed if they were taught to Brearley kindergarteners. They are an insult to parents and unbecoming of any educational institution, let alone one of Brearley’s caliber.

I object to Brearley’s vacuous, inappropriate, and fanatical use of words such as “equity,” “diversity” and “inclusiveness.” If Brearley’s administration was truly concerned about so-called “equity,” it would be discussing the cessation of admissions preferences for legacies, siblings, and those families with especially deep pockets. If the administration was genuinely serious about “diversity,” it would not insist on the indoctrination of its students, and their families, to a single mindset, most reminiscent of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Instead, the school would foster an environment of intellectual openness and freedom of thought. And if Brearley really cared about “inclusiveness,” the school would return to the concepts encapsulated in the motto “One Brearley,” instead of teaching the extraordinarily divisive idea that there are only, and always, two groups in this country: victims and oppressors.

l object to Brearley’s advocacy for groups and movements such as Black Lives Matter, a Marxist, anti family, heterophobic, anti-Asian and anti-Semitic organization that neither speaks for the majority of the Black community in this country, nor in any way, shape or form, represents their best interests.

I object to, as we have been told time and time again over the past year, that the school’s first priority is the safety of our children. For goodness sake, Brearley is a school, not a hospital! The number one priority of a school has always been, and always will be, education. Brearley’s misguided priorities exemplify both the safety culture and “cover-your-ass” culture that together have proved so toxic to our society and have so damaged the mental health and resiliency of two generations of children, and counting.

I object to the gutting of the history, civics, and classical literature curriculums. I object to the censorship of books that have been taught for generations because they contain dated language potentially offensive to the thin-skinned and hypersensitive (something that has already happened in my daughter’s 4th grade class). I object to the lowering of standards for the admission of students and for the hiring of teachers. I object to the erosion of rigor in classwork and the escalation of grade inflation. Any parent with eyes open can foresee these inevitabilities should antiracism initiatives be allowed to persist.

We have today in our country, from both political parties, and at all levels of government, the most unwise and unvirtuous leaders in our nation’s history. Schools like Brearley are supposed to be the training grounds for those leaders. Our nation will not survive a generation of leadership even more poorly educated than we have now, nor will we survive a generation of students taught to hate its own country and despise its history.

Lastly, I object, with as strong a sentiment as possible, that Brearley has begun to teach what to think, instead of how to think. I object that the school is now fostering an environment where our daughters, and our daughters’ teachers, are afraid to speak their minds in class for fear of “consequences.” I object that Brearley is trying to usurp the role of parents in teaching morality, and bullying parents to adopt that false morality at home. I object that Brearley is fostering a divisive community where families of different races, which until recently were part of the same community, are now segregated into two. These are the reasons why we can no longer send our daughter to Brearley.

Over the past several months, I have personally spoken to many Brearley parents as well as parents of children at peer institutions. It is abundantly clear that the majority of parents believe that Brearley’s antiracism policies are misguided, divisive, counterproductive and cancerous. Many believe, as I do, that these policies will ultimately destroy what was until recently, a wonderful educational institution. But as I am sure will come as no surprise to you, given the insidious cancel culture that has of late permeated our society, most parents are too fearful to speak up.

But speak up you must. There is strength in numbers and I assure you, the numbers are there. Contact the administration and the Board of Trustees and demand an end to the destructive and anti-intellectual claptrap known as antiracism. And if changes are not forthcoming then demand new leadership. For the sake of our community, our city, our country and most of all, our children, silence is no longer an option.

Respectfully,

Andrew Gutmann
