Senate Armed Services Committee Positioning to Leak FBI Report on Def Secretary Nominee Pete Hegseth

Posted originally on the CTH on December 19, 2024 | Sundance

The Senate Armed Services Committee follows a tradition of the Chair and Vice-Chair reviewing the FBI report on Defense Secretary nominations, and then bringing the nomination to a full committee hearing and vote.

However, in an unprecedented move being discussed the Chairman Jack Reed, of Rhode Island, and the ranking member from Mississippi Sen. Roger Wicker, are debating releasing the FBI report on Pete Hegseth to the full committee, thereby positioning the FBI report to be leaked to media.

Keep in mind, this is an “FBI investigative report,” and we already know the history of how the FBI uses their investigative authorities to influence, change and manipulate political outcomes.  If we drop the pretending, the FBI is a weaponized agency of DC government with the expressed intent to protect the interests of DC.

The only reason to widely distribute the FBI background investigation of Hegseth is so that someone can leak it to media.

WASHINGTON DC – At least a dozen senators are pushing to see the FBI’s background check on Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s embattled pick for Pentagon chief — a rare move for the committee that oversees his confirmation and a sign the former Fox News host still faces hurdles in the Senate.

Unlike some other committees, the Senate Armed Services usually limits access to these types of background checks to its two lead senators. But pressure is building from both Democrats and Republicans to provide more lawmakers with the ongoing report, whose contents could determine whether Hegseth makes it to the Pentagon.

“It would be helpful, given the allegations that have been lodged against Mr. Hegseth, to be able to see the FBI background check,” Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), a potential swing vote on Hegseth, said in an interview.

The push follows allegations of sexual assault against Hegseth, as well as alcohol abuse and mismanagement during his tenure at two veterans groups. He denies the allegations, and Trump’s allies have continued to drum up support for the TV personality. No Republicans have come out against him.

[…] The FBI’s background investigation is expected to thoroughly examine Hegseth’s personal and professional history, including interviews with associates, reviews of financial records, and queries into past legal issues. (read more)

Thom Tillis Threatens Trump Supporters to “Stand Down” on Pressure Because He Only Needs 4 Votes in Senate to Destroy Any Nomination

Posted originally on the CTH on December 16, 2024 | Sundance

Senator Thom Tillis appears to have been granted a larger slice of the lobbyist money from Thune and McConnell because he certainly is taking up a position next to Joni Ernst in strategic opposition to President Donald Trump.

The level of passive aggressive threat-speak within Tillis’ very carefully selected wording is quite concerning.  “President Trump enjoyed a great deal of Republican support in his first term,” Tillis notes.  “But if people want to play the outside [pressure] game, they run a lot of risk,” he continues. “Four votes is all it’s going to take to kill a nomination here, so they should take pause,” Tillis reminds everyone.

Senator Tillis from North Carolina represents the aloof mindset of the Senate at large, and the detached mindset of the Republicans in the senate specifically.

The republicans in North Carolina in 2024 are highlighting just how similar they are to the republicans in Georgia, circa 2020.

Institutions Can Have Their Entire Portfolio on Socrates

GMW Page 2

The Global Market Watch (GMW) was created for one of the top 10 banks in the world. It allowed them to look at their entire portfolio without reading a thousand reports. This allowed them to hone in on what might need their attention. As they commented, this is like having 1,000 trading assistants. We really are too busy advertising or engaging in marketing campaigns. You can die from having too much business. As is the case with offices worldwide, someone is always awake. This was designed for large institutions to save time and provide an important tool for investing.

The comments are a work in progress since the model still identifies new patterns. Socrates is proving that all the theories from the nonsense of Random Walks, etc., are just excuses for people incapable of comprehending how the world functions. The GMW records a pattern REGARDLESS of the market and assigns a number you see under the comment. That same pattern shows up in every market because the instrument is irrelevant – it is how human nature interacts with that market.

We can create a GMW for your entire portfolio to give you a fast glance at your portfolio. We are currently working on providing the same tools that I have used so you can ask question and it will respond. We are considering creating a terminal so it will access our systems and provide you with an impressive assistant.

We can Add Any Stock Worldwide to Socrates

Socrates IPad

QUESTION #1: Mr. Armstrong, you used to provide your reports rebranded to an institution’s name in Tokyo. Would you consider that for other countries?

GL

ANSWER #1: Yes. We would articulate the turning points rather than include the arrays. That would make it too identifiable, tracing back to us. But certainly, we can do that and attack an institution’s name, such as a reputable bank or brokerage house. We can replace the majority of the cost of research. We have a database of virtually every stock in the world.

QUESTION #2: Can I request that a particular stock be added to Socrates?

EJ

ANSWER #2: Certainly.

Mitt Romney Reflects on a Career of Lightly Held Stances

Posted originally on the CTH on December 16, 2024 | Sundance

So many people have seemingly forgotten that Mitt Romney was the 20212 Republican presidential nominee.  He was crushed by Barack Obama despite record turnout by republican voters who held their nose, yet again, one last time and voted for the last of the GOP ‘next in line’ crew.

As he exits a career in politics, Mitt Romney reflects upon his professional legacy of ‘lightly held stances’ and expert level graciousness in losing; he’s had lots of practice.  As Mitt Romney concedes the Republican party to the MAGA movement, this is somewhat of a reflective moment.  WATCH:
