The Ottawa Police Department have publicly announced they are a political institution. They sent out a tweet this evening with the announcement:

If the Ottawa police department was not a political activist agency, they would not engage in political activism.
Additionally, the originator of the left-wing effort to target the Freedom Convoy has been identified.
