Solar Physicist Sees Global Cooling Ahead

Day AFter Tomorrow

While the government is using the global warming theory to raise taxes, the real danger is global cooling. The significance of being unprepared means that we will face a rising threat of a food shortage in the years ahead. This is the real danger of global cooling.

CRNFOR-Y

It does appear that we are looking at a rise in food prices after 2017. This will, in part, be caused by  weather, but we must also respect that there is rising civil unrest that typically corresponds to a reduction in food supplies.

An Engineer Dies and goes to Hell!

An Engineer dies and goes to Hell. Dissatisfied with the level of comfort, he starts designing and building improvements.  After a while, Hell has air conditioning, flush toilets and escalators.  The engineer is a very pretty popular guy.

One day God calls and asks Satan, “So, how’s it going down there?”

Satan says, “Hey things are going great. We’ve got air conditioning and flush toilets and escalators, and there’s no telling what this engineer is going to come up with next.”

God is horrified. “What? You’ve got an engineer? That’s a mistake – he should never have gone down there! Send him up here!”

Satan says, “No way. I like having an engineer on the staff. I’m keeping him.”

God says, “Send him back up here or I’ll sue.”

“Yeah, right,” Satan laughs, “and where are you going to get a lawyer?”

Gravity Waves Discovered? Origin of Cycles?

Gravity-Waves

Prof. Laurence Kraus is a well known theoretical particle physicist at the University of Arizona. With a short message on Twitter, Kraus caused a stir around the entire world: “My earlier rumor about LIGO [Laser Interferometer Gravitational Wave Observatory] has been confirmed by independent sources. Stay tuned! Gravitational waves may have been discovered!! Exciting.”

What’s the big deal? Gravitational waves are actually waves within space-time.They were predicted to exist back in 1916 by Albert Einstein who surmised that they were either the result of massive stellar explosions (supernova of type II) or the merging of black holes and neutron stars. Even the Big Bang itself should have sent gravitational waves into space-time according to Einstein. If true, this would be the origin of cyclical waves.

According to Einstein’s theory of general relativity, gravity is not a force as Newton postulated with the apple falling from the tree. Instead, gravity, Einstein argued, was a property of space and time, which could be distorted by large masses. This, in turn, could affect light and matter. Earth would thus curve the surrounding space-time, and any large masses in motion would thereby create wavelike disturbances in space-time.

No one has been able to prove the theory just yet. So Kraus’ Tweet has sent its own shockwave throughout the world.

The Open Mind Learns and Prospers

The Closed Mind Discovers Nothing but Bias

pi_symbol_1600_clr_12661

A number of people have been writing in to say how they just discovered the mathematical constant π (pi) in a quantum mechanics formula for the energy states of the hydrogen atom. This is truly astonishing proving the is a fundamental cornerstone of nature.

While I discover the existence of pi in the business cycle, it has been widely discovered in many other fields. What this proves is precisely what I have been saying all along — there is an interesting order being masked as chaos. This hidden order is fundamental to everything. This hidden order behind chaos or the appearance of randomness has led many to assume that the world is subject to our will, and therefore, we can manipulate the world, including the economy, to do as we desire. This is just not true. There is a hidden order behind everything if we just explore.

Wallis JohnIn his book “Arithmetica Infinitorum”, the British mathematician John Wallis defines π as the product of an infinite string of ratios made up of integers. There have been many so-called analysts who simply say that I am wrong and pi has nothing to do with markets. Yet they argue for phi, Fibonacci, chart patterns, and so on.

There is far more order in the structure of the universe and everything within it than meets the eye. We are still exploring and pi is coming up in many fields, which has surprised numerous people. They are no different from the critics who claimed that the world was not round since they could not understand how you would stand upside down without falling off a ball. Hence, the world had to be flat.

Another wrinkle in planetary internal convection induced dynamo theory

Isn’t this something like the Alfven-Klein model of plasma flows?

From Space.com. It’s worth reading between the lines of this one to see the perplexed furrows on the brows of the ‘surprised’  scientists.

dynamoThe magnetic fields of planetary building blocks lasted for a surprisingly long time in the solar system’s early days, a new study suggests.

The magnetic fields of these big asteroids were apparently generated by the same process that drives Earth’s global magnetic activity, and could have persisted for hundreds of millions of years after the objects’ formation, researchers said.
The study team analyzed pallasites, iron-and-nickel meteorites believed to originate from an ancient rocky body about 250 miles (400 kilometers) wide. The pallasites contain tiny particles of ‪tetrataenite — a mineral that records a magnetic history of the parent body going back billions of years.

Why It’s Good To Be Wrong

Nothing obstructs access to the truth like a belief in absolute truthfulness.

money is being wasted on political science e.g. climate Change and so real science is left with no funding.

The last century was essentially the century of physics. We went from thinking the sun shone because it was burning, to a deeper understanding of things nuclear like atoms, electrons, neutrons, mysterons and how to make our very own big bangs with a bit of fission or fusion by smashing or mashing them together. We’ve pretty much done nothing more than polish the logically inferential spinoffs of that understanding for the last century. Apart from a couple of bright flashes courtesy of the Enola Gay and the Strawberry Bitch, it’s all been good stuff, but you’d hardly call it breaking new ground.

We’ve just been quarking around for the last half century or so, with Feynman’s whimsical idea of fractionally charged particles as a piss take, because I think he intuited we were just doing the reductio ad absurdum foxtrot. He’d done his bit and decided it was time to bugger off and learn to…

More on lying for justice

This is absolute true and is the core of all our problems today. Personally I feel we are past the point of no return (to sanity) modern technology makes the lies easier to promote but I can hope that I am wrong!

john1282's avatarJunkScience.com

In the science world lying for justice or lying for a liberal agenda or a government agenda is enshrined as proper conduct, since ends justify means, and also advantageous, since the government has the research funds, the lefty NGOs are flush with limousine liberal cash.

Earth proton events as a solar activity measure

very interesting and looks like a ten year cycle?

tchannon's avatarTallbloke's Talkshop

A recent Talkshop comment led me to look at a data directory where something tripped a thought

There is an earth affecting proton event dataset running from 1976, named SPE (Solar Proton Event). These are rare and erratic in time.

A very difficult maths problem is pulse density integration, one of the reasons why producing a statistical distribution shape is very hard where the data is sparse and spasmodic.

I’ve faked up some kind of meaningful plot. Far from ideal so don’t be misled.

SSN is from SIDC

Taking the natural log of the energy value produces something sane looking, intuitively would be something like that. Added in some missing points for years with no events. Event data is provided to the second via NOAA.
