Proposal in Europe to Kill Air Traffic Due to Global Warming

QUESTION: Dear Martin,
This was my first WEC and it was an overwhelming amount of impressions, contacts, information coming over me. Still struggling to digest it all. I did not realize beforehand so much, but creating contacts with like-minded people is such a crucial part of the conference. It looks like 99% of the population has lost its mind; so few around I can have an honest and informed dialogue about what is happening and how to deal with it. Thank you so much!

Also in Europe they (unelected lefties) are planning to take flights down :

M

ANSWER: To those who are outside of Europe it may sound unbelievable, but AOC should move to Europe and run for politics there. She will not seem as crazy. In the TV duel of EU’s top candidates, Frans Timmermans (European Social Democrats) explicitly demanded a ban on short-haul flights. His conservative opponent Manfred Weber does not want to abolish the short-haul routes by law, but he also wants to shift the air traffic by more attractive train offers on the rail. (see BILD)

Yes, Europe has adopted AOC’s idea of ending air traffic. They are not yet looking at cutting off all flights, but they are starting with short flights. Nevertheless, according to a recent BILD survey, more than 54,000 participants voted 62% against a ban on short-haul flights.

The Grapes of Wrath – How to Keep Them Warm

The Winter that Will Not End is impacting even northern Italy. In Tuscany, winemakers have lit hundreds of torches to keep their grapes warm during this cold period in order to save their crops. The temperatures have been cold and the crops have been subjected to frost at night that would otherwise ensure their demise. The farms have indeed sought to create global warming at a time when the politicians in Europe all agree that short-term flights by air should end to prevent global warming. The last cold spell like this with temperatures dropping below 1 degree celsius took place during May 1987. Temperatures below 0 celsius can wipe out the entire crop for the year

Failure to Plant Crops

COMMENT: Good day from Chatham, Ontario Canada (50 miles east of Detroit 42.4048° N, 82.1910° W);
Interesting your models are warning of the next year’s results in climate change.

Our location is always the first to plant in Canada as it is the same latitude as northern California.
A few climate tidbits;

– As of today, May 18th, 2019, no farmers (zero) have started planting.
– In 3 years the percentage of April planting starts has decreased to 0% from 70% just 4 years ago. Typically planting was completed by mid to end of May.
– Flooding this year from Ottawa to Detroit along with cooler temperatures can wreak havoc on winter wheat crops which are planted in the fall and has germinated. But if the heat doesn’t come to dry up the land then the wheat crop is susceptible to rot.
– soil temperatures are below the 25-year average by 23 degrees.
– more rain means less sunshine.
– Songbirds in our area are unusual for May. Makes for a very noisy morning coffee.

Bird watchers reporting many species have not finished their normal migration north. Somehow they have stalled in lower latitudes knowing the northern food sources are not ready.
The birds singing is nice, but I would like to eat.
Best to you;

RH

REPLY: Others are reporting the same general trends. Some people write in and try to disagree with the forecasts. What they fail to understand is this is BY NO MEANS my “opinion” or what “I think” for I do not see myself as qualified on such a personal level to forecast such events since I am not a farmer and have never been. My grandfather had maybe an acre where he grew grapes, fruit trees, and some other things like tomatoes. He was not a professional farmer.

All I can do is report what the computer is projecting and I believe it does a far better job than human forecasting simply because it just goes by the data and extracts the patterns upon cycles. I take no pleasure in warning that we could be headed into a very rough patch for food production into 2024/2025 if we see a colder and longer winter again next year.

Trading Against the Reversals

COMMENT: So guess what. I’ve always played the gaps when one elects and it’s a decent size and it lines up with the arrays and technicals I’ll get in and sell at the touch of the next reversal after the gap. Easy. But last month for the first time I tried trading against the reversal and it worked out amazingly. There was a quadruple bullish reversal in Cisco and a direction change the week and month after and I shorted it a few cents away from that reversal and basically got the high in a very strong uptrend. AM even thought I was crazy shorting it. The very next day it started falling and fell straight to the last major weekly yesterday.

Maybe not “Marty” type amazing trade, but I saw it unfolding the way Socrates said and I thought Damn haha

First time against a reversal!!! And a quadruple at that. Wanted to share that with you.

REPLY: Excellent. That was a good trade. Notice the energy. It peaked well before, so as the market is making new highs and failing to get through the reversals, look at the energy. If you see divergence and the stochastic, the odds are in your favor.

The divergences in those two indicators with the Array and the Reversal System allows for low-risk trades. Always know where you are wrong on a trade. In that case, the other side of the Reversals you are selling against. The declining energy with a rising market warns that the rally is not sustainable.

The Winter that Will Not End

This is the winter that does not want to leave. It is still raining and snowing in California, even in May, as reported by the LA Times. We are experiencing a long protracted winter in many areas. This does not bode well for the summer, which also appears to be shorter. If this unfolds and we see yet another long and cold winter next year, it appears this trend will continue into 2025.

Al Gore Forecast there would be NO Ice remaining at the North Pole by 2013

Al Gore in 2009 forecast that there would be no more ice by 2013. The BBC reported those crazy forecasts back in 2007. I have explained many times that the forecasting methods uses is to assume whatever trend is in motion will remain in motion forever. In other words, is the Dow Jones were to rally by 25% in one year, then they would predict that same percentage movement will continue forever. The methodology is completely void of any cyclical understanding how everything functions according to a cycle in the universe.

Decline in Craftsmanship Between the 1st and 3rd Centuries

COMMENT: I took the tour of the Vatican museum and the sculpture collection is unsurpassed. It was great that a pope told the people to bring statues to the Vatican rather than destroy them as some pagan god. The guide also pointed out how the best art was the first century and the quality diminished into the third and fourth century. I remember the mug from the WEC. It was interesting how the quality of art declined following your chart on the collapse of the monetary system.

I can get an extra mug?

KW

ANSWER: Yes, several people took that same tour. The quality of art declined with the collapse of the monetary system as well as the artistic quality of coins. Each die was hand engraved back then, so you can also see the decline in craftsmanship. Sculptures are the same. The details in the face, hair, and clothing during the 1st century is easily distinguishable from the 3rd century as we see in the coinage.

The quality of craftsmanship declines with the economy. Buildings constructed today are far cheaper in construction materials than you see even decades before. Most historians claim that Emperor Augustus’ right-hand man, Agrippa, built the first Pantheon in 27 BC. It burned in the great fire of 80 AD, was rebuilt by Emperor Domitian, and then was struck by lightning and burned again in 110 AD. The Pantheon as we know it today was built in 120 AD by Emperor Hadrian who was passionate about architecture and design. The inscription states that it was attributed to Marcus Agrippa. Nevertheless, this is a building that has stood almost 2,000 years.

As for the mugs, sorry, they are all gone. People have been making collections of them. Even I have only have one myself. I didn’t even have any leftover to give to Nigel.

Is Germany’s Active Volcano Awakening?

Most people have never heard of a volcano in Germany. Well, the caldera of Laacher See was formed after the Laacher volcano that erupted between 12,900 and 11,200 years ago. Everything collapsed into the empty magma chamber below only two or three days after the eruption, forming what is now a lake. The estimated Volcanic Explosivity Index value was that of 6, which means that this eruption was 250 times larger than the eruption of Mount St. Helens back in 1980. Remains of this eruption can be found all over Europe and is often used for dating sediments. A number of unique minerals, like Hauyn, can be found in the region, and quarries to mine the stone as a building material.

The Laacher is still considered very much an active volcano. There has been recent seismic activities and heavy thermal anomalies under the lake. Carbon dioxide (CO2) gas from magma still bubbles up at the southeastern shore and scientists believe that a new eruption can happen at any time, which today would be a disaster beyond all description. The region known as the Eifel is an idyllic low mountain range in West Germany bordering the Rhine to the East and the Moselle River to the South. Its highest elevation a mere 747m at the Hohe Acht. German geologists have been concerned that there may be a volcanic threat. This possibility is beginning to gather strong support in expert circles, particularly after four recent earthquakes and the realization that magma is filling into the chamber below. The situation could turn from quiet to catastrophic in a matter of months. The volcanoes of the Rhineland are not subjected to close surveillance, for they have not been active is a long time. That seems to be changing.

Magma is once again filling into the chamber beneath the lake. This again is something that would contribute to global cooling if it were to erupt. There have been four recent earthquakes: April 28, 2019; May 2, 2019; May 6, 2019; and May 7, 2019. When the Fukushima Japanese disaster took place back on March 11, 2011, Chancellor Angela Merkel, who was a chemical physicist by profession, took the decision to stop eight nuclear plants in Germany and initiated a gradual, full exit of Germany from nuclear energy by 2022

Are we Heading into a Food Shortage?

COMMENT: Mr. Armstrong, I find it really distasteful that you laid out events well in advance and then everyone copies you without ever giving you credit. There are articles now appearing about the coming food shortage. The degree of plagiarism is unbelievable. It must be dishearting. I certainly begin to distrust these people and organizations for they certainly even know who you are.

LMS

REPLY: That is life. They are trying to sell something so they have to pretend to do the research to make money by getting people to read. The flooding wiped out stockpiles. Now the planting season is already behind on schedule because of the weather. As I have warned, the computer has been forecasting colder winters and shorter-summers. The planting season will decline and thus the danger of a serious food shortage as we head into 2024.

I previously wrote about the soaring bankruptcies among farmers and combine this with the flooding that continues, I believe the computer will be on point. I also wrote about how this year, the Russian wheat crop failed has failed because of the bitter cold with even April coming in as the coldest in more than 140 years. To make matters worse, our computer warns that the weather will not improve. The next 4 years will put even more financial pressure farmers. Even in Australia, the drought is sending the “roos” invading the cities and they like to feed precisely during Rush Hour.  The drought is so bad in Australia, that animals are dying for lack of feed crops.

In the USA, four states are well behind on the planting schedule – Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, and South Dakota. These four states combined to produce nearly 40% of the corn in the U.S. The charts are not yet responding to the fundamentals. This should begin to change next year. Nevertheless, we are building bases at higher levels. I have written plenty of times that any continuation of the weather beyond this season warns of a continued cooling trend. When our model is showing Global Cooling and 2019 has broken so many records, then there is a risk of a pending bull market in the price of food. This is something rather important enough to put on the agenda but governments prefer to listen to the Global Warming crowd to justify taxes.
