Biden: Your Children Belong to the Government

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Jun 16, 2023 by Martin Armstrong

President Joe Biden admitted the truth – the government is claiming your children as their own.

Speaking on his favorite topic, the LGBTQ community, Biden addressed the nation in a disturbing video posted on Twitter that states:

“To the LGBTQI+ Community – the Biden-Harris Administration has your back. These are our kids. These are our neighbors. Not somebody else’s kids; they’re all our kids. And our children are the kite strings that hold our national ambitions aloft. It matters a great deal how we treat everyone in this country. LGBTQ Americans, especially children, you are loved, you are heard, and this administration has your back.”

Hillary Clinton has a famous line that says it takes a village to raise children, and everyone cheered, thinking she meant having a strong community. Now, the Democrats are taking it further than any leader would go other than perhaps Kim Jung-Un. Well, I am not sure that he would even permit childhood castration. The American public schools want to indoctrinate your children from an early age. This is why they are refusing to listen to the parents who are pleading with teachers not to teach their kindergarteners about pronouns and sex. The government under Biden is passing laws permitting children to make life-altering decisions without their parents’ consent. In fact, they are working to punish parents who do not cave to the woke agenda. The government is taking away parental rights entirely.

“They are not your kids,” Gov. Ron DeSantis tweeted in reply. “You are the government. They are NOT your kids,” Elon Musk tweeted in a message that now has over 416K likes. This should concern everyone. Biden’s message was specifically targeting troubled youth. Feel misunderstood by your parents after years of education indoctrination? Turn to the government to be your family.

Sorry, but Biden failed to raise his own kids. STAY AWAY FROM OUR KIDS.

Social Conservatism on the Rise in the US

Armstrong Economic Blog/Politics Re-Posted Jun 13, 2023 by Martin Armstrong

Gallup’s annual Values and Beliefs survey indicates that social conservatism has reached a 10-year high. The intense woke narrative that defies all logic has caused the pendulum to swing in the other direction. Around 38% of all respondents said they are “very conservative” on social issues compared to 33% in 2022 and 30% in 2021. Those identifying as very socially liberal have declined in the past two years to 29%, while moderates represent 31%. The woke agenda has permitted the media, politicians, and classrooms over this time, and Americans are not in agreement.

Republicans are leaning more to the right, with 74% now identifying as very socially conservative compared to 60% in 2021. Independents presented a slight increase year-on-year from 24% to 29%. Younger adults are more likely to identify as socially conservative on issues now compared to prior years, with a six percentage point uptick among the 18 to 29-year-old group over the past two years.

Americans are also more likely to favor economically conservative policies, with 44% saying they are conservative or very conservative and 33% saying their views are moderate. Those identifying as conservative economically averaged 40% from 2020 to 2022, but that figure is now 46%, the highest since 2012. Notably, the poll was distributed during the debt ceiling debate.

While Democrats are still less likely to lean fiscally conservative, there is a shift away from far-left ideologies that have become just absurd. Socially conservative a few years ago did not include pronouns, hundreds of genders, trans children, or sex education in elementary schools. It is refreshing that the masses are not blindly caving to this woke agenda of a genderless society where everyone in the wealthiest nation in the world identifies as a victim.

Biden Vetos Plan to Scrap Student Debt Redistribution

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Jun 12, 2023 by Martin Armstrong

Canceling student loan debt was a lofty promise Biden made during his presidential bid. Three years later, he has made no progress. This was one of those single-issue items that caused many to vote for Biden, and he can’t risk reducing his dwindling support. “I’m not going to back down on my efforts to help tens of millions of working- and middle-class families,” Biden said. “That’s why I’m going to veto this bill.”

Per usual, Dem policies that claim to help the middle class only cause more financial pain. What about the working-class families who chose not to attend college due to costs? What about the families who worked hard to pay off their loans? Universities can continue charging massive fees with no end in sight and his administration has done nothing to curtail the costs of college. So there is no plan to fix the real issue that has caused so many Americans to be saddled with student debt that is nondischargeable in bankruptcy due to the repeal of Glass-Steagall by the Clintons. As a reminder, the debt will not vanish in thin air. Taxpayers will be responsible for this burden.

Instead of “relief,” we should call it what it really is intended to be – payment redistribution. The Senate had agreed to undo the damage in a 52-46 vote before Biden shot it down. Even some Democrats disagree with Biden’s plan to pass on the debt to taxpayers. Senator Joe Manchin said the “reckless” plan “forces hard-working taxpayers who already paid off their loans or did not go to college to shoulder the cost.” Democratic Senator Jon Tester and Independent Senator Krysten Sinema agree.

Extremists like Elizabeth Warren said that it’s “shameful” that Republicans want to “claw back relief from public servants.” They are undermining our intelligence. The hated rich use tax loopholes to avoid payments. The burden will fall on the middle and working class, which is entirely unconstitutional. “ The executive branch cannot spend money that has not been appropriated by Congress,” 31 USC 1301 et seq (Antideficiency Act (P.L. 97-258)) and Article I, Section 7, Clause 7 of the U.S. Constitution.

Hypocrisy of our Time

COMMENT: Mr. Armstrong, Your economic confidence model is too good for the corrupt Noble Prize. I have been following you since 1983. Your research into the shift in confidence between the people and government is so in your face today, I can see why you said the dollar may not last beyond 2029. It is hard to see how the US can stand even until 2032.

Keep up your amazing work. We will need you to start all over again.

REPLY: Good to hear from you. Yes, the old days when I use to hand draw the ECM charts.

Canadian Wildfires – CLIMATE LOCKDOWNS BEGIN

Armstrong Economics Blog/Conspiracy Re-Posted Jun 9, 2023 by Martin Armstrong

There is something strange in the air. Are we to believe that what is occurring is simply the result of wildfires in Canada all occurring simultaneously? Official reports claim that droughts caused the conditions for the fires. Quebec said that the fires were ignited by lightning, Alberta admitted the cause of their fires is still unknown. Other provinces also blame lightning and dry conditions, but no one seems to have a clear answer for why over 9.4 million acres in Canada have burned.

Trudeau seemed unemotional and unsurprised during his press conference. He was utterly tone-deaf for a leader of a country where millions of people were just displaced from their homes. This will certainly fuel his desire to implement harsher carbon taxes. The people of Canada were not properly warned, as you can see in the video above. I share videos from the TikTok platform because it is one of the only peer-to-peer sites available where users can share their uncensored experiences. The man speaking learned that his home was burning down through posts shared on Facebook, not the Canadian government.

And the claims of lightning storms? The weather trackers did not seem to pick up on any extreme storms:

Some may say they are strategically burning areas to prevent the fire from spreading. What’s really happening here?

President Joe Biden is already blaming “the climate crisis” for these unexplainable events. The smoke spread to the US in 18 states from South Carolina to New Hampshire. The New York skyline turned a vibrant shade of apocalyptic orange. The smoke contains fine particulate matter, or PM2.5, the tiniest yet most dangerous pollutant. The Air Quality Index (AQI) is safe at levels around 50. New York and New Jersey experienced levels of over 400 this week. New York topped global charts and had the worst AQI in the world.

Experts say breathing in the air is equivalent to smoking half a pack of cigarettes. “There is no safe aspect of wildfire smoke,” explained Kari Nadeua, Naddisy Foundation Professor of Pediatric Food Allergy, Immunology and Asthma at Stanford University, in an October 2020 Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment wildfire research report. “Exposure to wildfire smoke over 5 to 7 days can cause damage to the lungs, blood, and heart and cause strokes. There is no safe distance from smoke.”

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has urged residents to wear masks and stay indoors. We’re entering a lockdown once again. New York even provided over 1 million N95 masks, and this time around, people may want to put them on. Schools and sporting events across New Jersey and New York have closed along with some businesses. The governments are testing an ECONOMIC LOCKDOWN.

Conspiracy theories are spreading faster than the fires. Some believe that the missing 30 tons of ammonium nitrate were used for this attack, and are calling it economic terrorism. Others believe that Canada deliberately started the fires. With countless areas covered in smoke, the people cannot see. This would be a great way to test a potential attack in broad daylight. Some are concerned that there are chemicals in the air that they intend to use to start the next pandemic, as numerous agencies have said they are preparing for a second one. I won’t even go down the rabbit hole of the conspiracy theories regarding the sun or the Chinese balloons. No one trusts the government or the mass media anymore.

One thing is for sure – the governments will blame this on climate change when they allegedly do not have a clear answer. We are experiencing our first economic lockdown, unofficially.

US Voters Want Economic Growth over Equality

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Jun 7, 2023 by Martin Armstrong

Inflation has hurt everyone. It is no surprise that a recent poll by Rasmussen Reports indicates that US voters are now prioritizing economic growth of equality. The latest survey found that 64% of voters favor policies that contribute to economic growth, while only 27% said they prioritized economic fairness. In 2019, before the last election, only 50% of respondents to the same poll believed that growth mattered more than equality.

Voters have not indicated that they would prioritize economic growth so strongly since 2013, when the US was emerging from the Great Recession. The US economy was strong under Trump; inflation was low, the market was high, and unemployment was low. The coronavirus turned the entire world upside down, and it seems that many associated that economic downturn with the Trump Administration rather than lockdowns. Biden ran on the Build Back Better platform filled with empty promises of free handouts. He prolonged lockdowns, artificially lowering employment data, and then claimed his administration created jobs once the lockdowns were lifted.

The mask has fallen, and Americans are realizing that their quality of life is steeply declining due to the cost of living. Biden and Harris discuss transexuals more than the economy and have only exacerbated the problems we face by opening our borders and sending a blank check to Ukraine. Fairness sounded nice on paper, but then Biden began robbing the middle class through taxation, and the people realized that Build Back Better was merely a trojan horse for socialism. The majority wants America to be a strong capitalistic nation again.
