Virtue Signaling for Ukraine Wanes

CNBC reported that Biden and Zelensky exchanged harsh words during a phone call in June 2022. After securing an additional $1 billion in funds from Americans, Zelensky said that the US needs to provide more for Ukraine. Biden losing his temper and Zelensky begging for more money are both believable situations. Similar to a child crying for dessert before dinner, Biden caved and gave Zelensky everything he wanted. Zelensky knows he can continually push for more, but that may change.

The media released this story because they want Americans to believe that the Biden Administration is finding Ukraine’s constant requests asinine at this point. The people at the voting booths this November are watching their own cities crumble and are struggling to understand why America has sent over $20 billion to Ukraine this year. The prospect of a world war has Americans even more wary of this endless support.

A Pew Research Center poll from September showed that public support for Ukraine is fading in America. Out of 10,588 respondents, 26% were no longer concerned about the war in Ukraine. In May, 55% of people cited they were “extremely” or “very” concerned about Russia defeating Ukraine, but that figure fell by 17 percentage points to 38% by September. Around 42% of Americans felt that the US was not providing enough support back in March when the war began, but that number has dwindled to 18%.

Americans are now less concerned with Russia invading other nations outside Ukraine. Putin is not interested in conquering new land, and his motives are not akin to a Hitler situation of expanding a dead empire as the media first presented. Yet, people are more concerned now about the possibility of a nuclear war, as 52% of Democrats and 37% of Republicans expressed in the Pew Research Center survey.

Sources say Ukraine would like up to $60 billion in additional funds and will continue using America and Western allies as an ATM until legislation is passed to stop this nonsense.

No COVID Amnesty

Armstrong Economics Blog/Corruption Re-Posted Nov 3, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

The Atlantic wrote a piece about declaring pandemic amnesty. “We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID,” Emily Oster wrote. I will not forgive what was done and the permanent damage the COVID zealots caused to the global economy. This was not a simple misunderstanding – it was a deliberate plot to crush the economy and hand all power over to governments.

This goes for the right and left, although the right finally saw that what they were doing was wrong. Trump failed us by implementing Operation Warpspeed and distributing mass vaccines that were not properly tested. Big Pharma was granted full immunity because they knew the vaccines could present issues down the line. America had a strong economy before COVID lockdowns caused mass layoffs, supply shortages, and simply halted life as we once knew it.

Other countries had more severe restrictions, and many felt the need to flee their home country to avoid tyranny. I do not forgive the politicians who forced the masses to take a vaccine against their will simply to participate in society. The unvaccinated were demonized by the politicians who led the masses to believe that COVID was “a pandemic of the unvaccinated,” when that was a blatant lie. Those same politicians frequently broke their own rules because they knew they were baseless. I do not forgive the health agencies who promoted a false agenda and changed definitions and rules at whim. They forced us to cover our faces to simply walk outside despite knowing that masks did not work. I do not forgive the media who fueled the hysteria and banished anyone who questioned “the science.” The fear that spread across the globe was unwarranted.

There should be a trial to discover what actually happened in 2020. The virus’ origins remain a mystery, although it is widely accepted that it did not come about naturally. Children fell behind in school, small businesses closed forever, countless people lost their livelihoods, and mental health issues became more apparent. People were forced into quarantine camps like prisoners in some countries, while others diminished people to their QR codes that restricted their freedom of movement. People DIED.

Despite our current knowledge, governments have refused to let go of the emergency powers granted to them under COVID. How could they ask for forgiveness when this madness is ongoing?

Rumble Rejects French Govt Demand for Control Over Content

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on November 2, 2022 | Sundance

The team at Rumble Video have taken a strong position in defense of free speech, an open internet and protection of a diverse public square.

Apparently, the French government demanded that Rumble remove content the government does not support. [SourceRumble said no.

Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski then followed up delivering a statement via Twitter: “The French Government has demanded that Rumble (@rumblevideo) block Russian news sources. Like @elonmusk, I won’t move our goal posts for any foreign government. Rumble will turn off France entirely (France isn’t material to us) and we will challenge the legality of this demand.”

Pavlovski and Rumble being transparent and making the demand from the French government public raises a few questions.

Rumble said ‘no’, but who said ‘yes’?

It would be highly unlikely that Rumble is the only tech platform the French government have contacted with their demands.  What did the other platform providers do?

How many other ‘western‘ governments make demands on content from Big Tech platform providers that we do not know about?

On the domestic side, the issue of what France is demanding is essentially analogous with what the U.S. government (DHS) has been doing within the censorship discussion recently highlighted by The Intercept.   However, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Google and Microsoft have not been open with the American people about these back-channel discussions and demands from the U.S. government.

Most of what we are now learning about government control over social media content is coming as a result of a lawsuit filed by the State of Missouri against the Biden administration.

(New York Post) –  A little-noticed federal lawsuit, Missouri v. Biden, is uncovering astonishing evidence of an entrenched censorship scheme cooked up between the federal government and Big Tech that would make Communist China proud.

So far, 67 officials or agencies — including the FBI — have been accused in the lawsuit of violating the First Amendment by pressuring Facebook, Twitter and Google to censor users for alleged misinformation or disinformation.

Victims of the Biden-Big Tech “censorship enterprise” include The Post, whose Hunter Biden laptop exposé was suppressed by Facebook and then Twitter in October 2020 after the FBI went to Facebook, warning it with great specificity to watch out for a “dump” of Russian disinformation, pertaining to Joe Biden, with an uncanny resemblance to our stories.

“We allege that top-ranking Biden administration officials colluded with those social media companies to suppress speech about the Hunter Biden laptop story, the origins of COVID-19, the efficacy of masks, and election integrity,” is how the lawsuit was summarized by intrepid Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, who is leading the action.

The censorship related to alleged “misinformation” about pandemic lockdowns, vaccines and COVID-19, and included material from the esteemed infectious disease epidemiologists and public health scientists associated with the Great Barrington Declaration, which proved over time to be correct and eventually much of which was adopted as official policy by the CDC.

Defendants include FBI special agents Elvis Chan and Laura Dehmlow, who gave Facebook that detailed “disinformation” briefing right before The Post was censored; White House press secretaries, current and former, Karine Jean-Pierre and Jen Psaki; Dr. Anthony Fauci, the president’s chief medical adviser, and former White House senior COVID-19 adviser Andrew Slavitt; counsel to President Biden Dana Remus; the DHS over the disbanded Disinformation Governance Board; the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency; the FDA; the State Department; and the US Election Assistance Commission.

Last month a federal judge ordered a reluctant Fauci and Jean-Pierre to hand over their records, so the case is progressing nicely.(read more)

As various entities and Big Tech platforms prepare to launch lawfare litigation, a strategy built on threats, against any member of the Rebel Alliance who outlines the schemes and connections between government and Big Tech, they would be wise to reconsider the unstable cornerstone of their position…

…Why would any social media platform, at any scale and on any level, be in any relationship with the United States government?

Eurozone Inflation Reaches New High – Recession Incoming

Armstrong Economics Blog/European Union Re-Posted Nov 2, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Inflation in the Eurozone hit a new record in October, according to Eurostat who reported a 10.7% rise. That marks an increase from September’s 9.9% posting and an all-time high since Eurostat began compiling Eurozone data in 1997. The European Central Bank (ECB) attempted to curb inflations with another 75 bps hike last week. The ECB knows that inflation is here to stay. They recently changed their annual inflation target for next year to 5.8% compared to the 3.6% they were predicting three months ago. They can’t release the actual figures without causing a panic.

Economic growth “slowed significantly in the third quarter of the year and we expect a further weakening in the remainder of this year and beginning of next year,” ECB head Christine Lagarde warned. Inflation is hitting some countries harder than others. Estonia (22.4%), Latvia (21.8%), and Lithuania (22%) all experienced nearly double the average inflation rate this October.

The downturn will not be equal across the Eurozone. The managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, is warning that half of the 19 countries in the bloc will fall into a recession. “Europe is affected more severely by the increase of energy prices. The heat on European economies is such that we actually expect half of the countries in the eurozone to experience at least two quarters of negative growth. In other words, a recession,” she said, without naming the countries,” Georgieva warned. She further stated that the IMF’s pre-pandemic projections compared to current projections differ by a loss of half a trillion euros.

“I am not going to sugar-coat it: 2023 will be tougher than 2022. Next winter for Europe may be even harsher than this winter,” she declared. “Why? Because European policymakers acted very swiftly to fill gas storage. If conditions remain as they are with Russia not providing gas to Europe, how is this gas storage going to be filled next year?”

Another question comes to light – can Europe remain untied amid a serious recession? The ECB will use the same strategy in an attempt to fix the broken system for the entirety of the Eurozone instead of looking at each individual economy. Let’s not forget that deeply indebted countries will only face higher costs that they likely will not be able to repay. The ECB dug its grave in 2014, and they do not have the tools to handle the current crisis. It is easy for Europe to appear as a united front when there is peace and prosperity. The real test will come when everything crashes down, and fairness goes out the window.

Leftist Professor Writing for Atlantic Magazine Wants to Let Bygones be Bygones and Accept a “Pandemic Amnesty” – Sorry, Not Happening

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 31, 2022 | sundance

Brown University Professor Emily Oster, writing for The Atlantic wants to heal divisions created during the COVID-19 pandemic, let bygones be bygones and accept a pandemic amnesty; now that the nonsense covid positions of the professional left are shown to have been built upon lies, falsehoods and social manipulation….

{Read Article Here}

…. Sorry, not happening.

The professional political leftists are starting to rebrand themselves as having fallen victim to the “bureaucracy of COVID”, and according to those high-minded people who think very highly of themselves, we are supposed to embrace this new enlightenment from the same people who were demanding our acquiescence to their dictates and sneering at those who did not comply.

This example of “THE AWAKENING” from Brown University Professor Emily Oster is supposed to be something I am told to appreciate.  Fat chance.

I/We are expected to appreciate the same people who demanded our acquiescence to every policy that was created by their ridiculous fear, simply because they now admit ‘oops, my bad‘?   Sorry, not happening.

For two years they shoved their intolerant fingers in our faces, destroyed lives and livelihoods, made ridiculous demands in order to sustain their own fear, threatened our children, destroyed the economy, used COVID as an excuse to destroy families and steal an election, attempted to force us to kneel at the altar of their mask wearing and never-ending vaccine crap, took our jobs if we refused their mandates… and we’re just supposed to what, forgive them?

I want, heck, need, to see these people destroyed with the heat of a thousand supernovas.

The vulgar lies and verbal filth have been extreme for two years as these ideological parasites utilized their microphones and typeset in a brutal attempt to tear down our nation.   We have all been witness.  Anyone trying to convince us this assembly of our union is not tenuous might want to revisit their proximity to reason, because they’re not just out of the city – they’re also out of the same state the ballpark is located in.

David Mamet had a famous saying, I repeat it often because it helps people break the cycle of abuse.   Essentially: …‘in order for democrats, liberals, progressives et al to continue their illogical belief systems they have to pretend not to know a lot of things’

By pretending ‘not to know’, the professional left carries no guilt, no actual connection to conscience.  Denial of truth allows easier trespass, and that is exactly what Professor Emily Oster is attempting in that article.

This hate-filled Democrat, leftist and social ideology relies on our willingness to reconcile their presentations and grant benefit within their seeds of doubt.

Sorry, forgiveness is for the next generation….

We need to destroy those who carried out this abuse.

Our parents were forced to die alone in isolation while we were forbidden from holding their hand or being with them.

Thousands never had the opportunity to say goodbye.

We know exactly what the covenant of marriage is all about; and it has nothing to do with being forced to stand outside hospitals, screaming in unbearable choking anguish, while our wives and husbands took their last breaths…. ALONE!

You want forgiveness for that?

I do not possess that capacity.

I refuse to give any “coming to the right side” credit to the vile, intolerant, hate-filled and insane leftists who demanded all the totalitarian bulls**t they now accept as futile nonsense. Professor Oster et al should be shunned, mocked and cast into the pit of irrelevance.

Additionally, the high-minded, reach-across-the-aisle crew can continue bleating philosophically about how we must grow our ranks by accepting the newly found recalcitrance of those who have carried out this nonsense.  However, the constant granting of benefit to those who abuse us is the epitome of battered conservative syndrome.

You cull a herd for a reason.

You do not demand the herd lower its genetic strength to accommodate the weakest denominator.

Professional apologists for the right wing of the UniParty can keep trying to make the big government vulture a better sandwich in the hopes that eventually it will stop abusing us.  Meanwhile, prudent people, those slow to anger but resolute upon arrival, accept the leftists and Democrats for who they are, toxic abusers’ intent on destroying the liberty and freedom the aisle-reachers claim to cherish.

The professional political left would like nothing more than their victims to be comfortable forgiving them for their openly hostile attacks. Within that dynamic, the abuser is free to repeat the cycle, and make no mistake – they will repeat the cycle, eventually.

Actions have consequences.  We are not fast to the sentiment of hate; we know the damage that sensibility can create within oneself.  However, eventually, reluctantly, decisions are reached.

Those who perpetrated two years of hell need to be held to account, and unfortunately, this type of accountability is so severe in consequence there can be no quarter provided or terms which might provide even the most remote possibility of a reoccurrence.

It is uncomfortable to accept that our response needs to be of such severity that our children will be witness to a visible anger they did not know their parents were capable of.  But witness they must if we are to ensure these vile and intolerant leftist creatures are destroyed forever.

I would rather provide the opportunity for my children to forgive me, than to see them forever living in a hopeless land of totalitarianism where freedom and liberty have been dispatched from their lives.  At least in the former their choice is possible.

The professional political left must be destroyed with extreme prejudice.

A shield, or cry of micro-aggression should be given no benefit, nor quarter. Delicate sensibilities must be dispatched like a feather in a hurricane.

Americans are still tolerant and patient people, the most compassionate and generous people in the history of all mankind, but we are also very purposeful.

The professional political left could have stopped with us, but they did not.  Instead, they came for our children.

You see Ms. Oster, when pushed far enough, hard decisions are reached…

…And they have pushed us much further than simply ‘far enough‘.

Public Confidence in Russia is Down

Armstrong Economics Blog/War Re-Posted Oct 31, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

The world forgets that war only benefits a select few who safely sit in their ivory towers while the general population suffers. Antidepressant prescriptions soared by 70% in the first nine months of 2022. The top comment online in response to this article began with, “I am sure some Russians are good, but….”

This would be akin to the world believing Americans are inherently bad due to our government’s part in Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, etc. Newsweek reported that Russians spent $81.1 million in those nine months on antidepressants. In Moscow, 1,300 packages were delivered per 10,000 adults. So 13% of the city is being treated for depression currently. RBK stated that the increase in antidepressant usage is due to war, fears of shortages, and sanctions. Antidepressant spending also increased after Putin announced a partial mobilization of troops on September 21.

A Russian public opinion fund survey found that around 70% of the population experienced anxiety after the mobilization announcement. Around 35% of participants in this particular study reported anxiety during the week of September 18, but that nearly doubled the following week to 65%.

Not every Russian citizen is lining up to die for their country, and it is safe to say most do not want war. Human nature is the same wherever you go, but overall rhetoric has demonized Russians for simply existing.

Any aspirations for a future have been put on hold as Russians are uncertain if they will be met with the full force of NATO. Grocery stores look very different today from less than a year ago, as common brands have been replaced with obscure knockoffs and some products are no longer available. Hundreds of thousands have fled their country, but they are not warmly received. It is becoming increasingly difficult for Russians to leave their homeland, and those who are forced to stay fear what is to come.
