Voters’ Remorse

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Oct 18, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Americans are having voters’ remorse after the country took a sharp nose-dive into the ground under the Biden Administration. The economy has been destroyed along with our reputation and future outlook. A new poll has found that only 33% would re-elect Joe Biden if the next presidential election were held today.

Out of the 33% who would still vote for Biden, 21% said they would “definitely” re-elect him, while 12% admitted they “probably” would check his name off on the ballot. Former President Trump reached his lowest re-elect percentage in January 2018 at 35%. Obama has a low score of 39% in September 2010. Joe Biden is quickly becoming the least popular president in modern history.

Most independent voters (54%) would not re-elect Biden, while 91% of Republicans would run for the hills (perhaps a bad analogy with the ongoing hearings). Although only 71% of Democrats said that they would re-elect Biden, his own party has repeatedly skirted the question regarding his re-election in 2024.

Around 62% said Biden is not a strong leader – one of the main indications for success. Over half admitted that they no longer believe the president cares about the American people, and 52% said Biden is neither honest nor trustworthy. An alarming 56% stated he is not mentally fit to serve as president. This may be the first time Americans have had to wonder if their top decisionmaker has dementia.

It goes beyond Joe Biden as all his political supporters promote his ideas and vote for his policies. It will be interesting to see if the people remember his party’s failures this November at the midterms.

The Great Economic Pretending Has Become Absurd, WSJ Economists Ignore Current Reality and Ponder Possibility of Recession in 2023

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 18, 2022 | Sundance

I do not know how to describe this with the Through The Looking Glass absurdity it deserves.

The ability of financial media and national economists to suspend accepting current reality, while making claims about the possibilities for next year, is ridiculous. Ask me why this era of great economic pretending is underway, and I have no answer. The intellectual dishonesty is beyond my comprehension.

The first and second quarters of the U.S. economy showed negative Gross Domestic Product valuations (GDP). We just finished the third quarter (July, Aug, Sept) and the likelihood of another negative GDP is high. Production is down, demand is down, consumer spending is down, inventories are climbing, and the economy is contracting. We are in a literal, technical and structural recession. Considering the Q1 and Q2 outcomes, we have been in a recession all year.

The Wall Street Journal publishes an article citing several notable economists who are putting the likelihood of a 2023 recession at 63%.

(WSJ) – […] On average, economists put the probability of a recession in the next 12 months at 63%, up from 49% in July’s survey. It is the first time the survey pegged the probability above 50% since July 2020, in the wake of the last short but sharp recession.

Their forecasts for 2023 are increasingly gloomy. Economists now expect gross domestic product to contract in the first two quarters of the year, a downgrade from the last quarterly survey, whereby they penciled in mild growth.

[…] Forecasters have ratcheted up their expectations for a recession because they increasingly doubt the Fed can keep raising rates to cool inflation without inducing higher unemployment and an economic downturn. Some 58.9% of economists said they think the Fed will raise interest rates too much and cause unnecessary economic weakness, up from 45.6% in July. (read more)

They are analyzing a pending recession in 2023 without even admitting we are in a recession right now. AT THIS VERY MOMENT.  We have two consecutive negative quarters of economic growth behind us (another Q3 result pending), and these economists are discussing a recession “next year“?

I feel like I’m behind a mirror in a parallel universe looking at financial pundits and economists pretending our reality is something completely different from what it is.   This is madness.

♦ “Managing the transition,” is a phrase we have heard often – but what does it mean?

This is the only explanation I can fathom for this era of great pretending.

As you are well aware the various western nation central banks including the U.S. Federal Reserve, have raised interest rates into a global economic contraction, a drop in demand.  Raising interest rates into a contracting economy is counterintuitive, it runs against the expressed interest of government to grow economic conditions.  However, there is a purposeful design to the contradiction.  [A TLDR Version Here]

The central bankers are trying to support western government policy.  Unfortunately, the government policy they are under obligation to support is the fundamental shift in energy development, or what the World Economic Forum (Davos Group) has called the “Build Back Better” climate change agenda.

Monetary policy can only impact one side of the inflation challenge.  The western bankers (EU central bank, U.S. federal reserve bank, and various banking groups) are raising interest rates in order to “tame inflation” by “taming demand.”  However, as you know the global economic demand has been declining for several quarters.  There is no excess demand, and there hasn’t been demand side pressure all year.

Raising interest rates into an already contracting economy does one thing, it speeds up the rate of economic contraction.

Economic contraction is the lowering of economic activity.  Raise interest rates -in a general sense- and businesses invest less, borrowers borrow less, consumers purchase less, employers expand less, and the economy overall slows down. When the economy turns negative, meaning less products and services are produced, we enter a recession. Some businesses and employers do not survive a recession and subsequently unemployment rises.

During recessionary periods people buy less stuff, people have less income stability, and economic activity drops.  When the banks raise interest rates into an economy that is already stalled or contracting, unemployment and general pain on Main Street increases.  Workers are laid-off, incomes shrink, consumer spending drops and that leads to less employment.  Recessions are bad for middle-class and working-class people.   This is what the Wall Street Journal is describing for 2023.

“Employers are expected to respond to lower growth and weaker profits by cutting jobs in the second and third quarters. Economists believe that nonfarm payrolls will decline by 34,000 a month on average in the second quarter and 38,000 in the third quarter. According to the last survey, they expected employers to add about 65,000 jobs a month in those two quarters.” (link)

From the perspective of the western politicians and central banks, there is one benefit from a recession…. Energy use drops.

People travel less; businesses operate shorter work schedules; manufacturing stops; overall fewer goods are produced because less consumer spending is taking place.  From the perspective of the groups who want to see overall energy consumption drop, a recession is a good thing.

A recession also brings along a natural drop in energy prices as less overall energy is used inside an economy that is slowing, stalled or contracting.

Oil prices drop as less oil is needed for the manufacturing of goods.  Energy use in transportation also drops and generally gasoline prices drop because less transportation fuel is needed, because fewer goods are being transported.  When the economy goes into a recession, energy use and prices always drop.

Put these factors together and you start to see how the transition to a new western energy policy, the Build Back Better agenda, benefits from a recession.

This is the essential understanding needed to reconcile why central banks would intentionally create an economic contraction.  This is the great pretending. The bankers are supporting the governmental objective of transitioning the western economy into a new energy system away from oil, coal and natural gas.

The banks are supporting the policy makers.  However, the central banks cannot openly admit what they are doing to support the politicians and policy makers.

In this weird new era, the banks are being instructed to support the policy makers without actually admitting they have changed their monetary mission.  The central bankers will continue to say their job is to manage and/or balance employment and inflation.  However, what they will not admit is their unspoken agenda to support the political decisions.

Instead, almost all the central banks are saying their interest rate hikes are intended to cool inflation by lowering demand.

However, it is not excess demand that is driving inflation; it is the policy making behind the energy transition that is driving higher costs on everything.  The origin of inflation is on the supply side.

The supply-side of the inflation dynamic is being overwhelmed by massive increases in energy costs which are the results of intentional western policy.  Extreme increases in consumer prices are the outcome of these energy price increases.  The overwhelming majority of consumer price inflation is being caused by energy policy, not demand.

The various central banks and monetary policymakers know this.  In fact, they are lying about their motives.  They have to lie, because if they were to tell the truth there would be an uprising, and the success of the energy agenda would be put at risk.

In order to support the energy objectives of the various governments’, the central banks are trying -and succeeding- to lower economic activity.

Less economic activity means lower energy needs.  This is what they call “managing the transition” to the new economy based on “sustainable energy.”

The banks and policy makers are ultimately managing the economic decline in order to Build Back Better in the future.  This is why the originating charter of the central banks is being ignored, and the banks are raising interest rates into an already contracting economy.

None of this is being done accidentally.  All of this is being done with forethought and implicit intention.

Unfortunately, for the average person this means the banks and policy makers have entered a phase where it is in their interests to shrink the global economy.  They are trying to control the collapse of the various economies by working together.  This is what they mean by “managing the transition.”

Managing the transition means less jobs, less work, a lower standard of living, and a period of extreme financial pressure for the average person.

Eventually, we will reach a point where the government(s) will need to step in and fill the gap from the declined economic activity.  Bailouts and subsidies will be needed as they were in the COVID lockdowns.  Unemployed workers and the people being impacted by a prolonged economic recession will need subsidies in order to survive.

The government policy makers are planning to do just that, spend more.  They practiced during the COVID economic lockdowns, now they seem to be positioning to execute a similar policy path as they manage the energy transition.

We have only just entered the beginning phase of this Build Back Better agenda.  No one, including the banks and policy makers, have any idea how long this is going to take.

We could be in this period of severe economic contraction for several years, perhaps decades, until their grand design of a new energy future is complete.  This has been the discussion at the World Economic Forum (WEF), as the instructions were passed out.

The entire time the western government architects are doing this, they must keep the demand for traditional energy products like coal, oil and gas at the lowest level possible.  That is why the central banks and politicians must keep economic activity at the lowest -yet survivable- rate possible.

Financial analysts and economists are pretending not to know this is our reality.  All the pretending in the world will not change the reality on Main Street; pretending will only create a divide between those who admit and those who deny.

The next President will be the political leader who admits the reality and affirms the proper cause.

Jury Deliberating in Danchenko Trial, Hillary Clinton Lawyers Defending Danchenko Blast the Prosecution in Closing

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 17, 2022 | sundance

Closing arguments wrapped up on the trial of Igor Danchenko, the primary source who delivered fraudulent information to Christopher Steele for transmission to the FBI.  The jury now has the case and it’s likely they will not convict.

When you accept the FBI knew the Steele Dossier was a fabricated assembly of political dirt against Trump, the trial of Danchenko becomes more about the FBI corruption than lies by the defendant.   How can the same DOJ who willingly and willfully benefitted from the lies, now turn around and prosecute the liar.   Hillary Clinton lawyers providing the defense for Danchenko used this angle to criticize the prosecution in closing arguments.

(Via CNN) […] Danchenko lawyer Stuart Sears said prosecutors brazenly cast aside information that “doesn’t support their narrative that he’s a liar.” Sears pointed out how Durham turned on his own witnesses after they provided evidence that helped the defense.

“The special counsel attacked them mercilessly,” Sears said. “They attacked the credibility of the very witnesses they called in here, because they didn’t say what they wanted them to say.”  Sears added: “The government’s own evidence in this case proves that the defendant is not guilty.”

Durham’s team urged jurors to convict Danchenko on Monday, telling them to “look at his own words” in emails from 2016 that they believe prove that he later misled the FBI about his ties to a possible dossier source.  “You didn’t check your common sense at the courthouse door,” prosecutor Michael Keilty said. “You need to use it.”

Keilty said Danchenko gave a “shifting story” to the FBI agents who interviewed him in 2017, while they were trying to corroborate the explosive allegations in the dossier that Trump’s campaign was colluding with the Russian government to win the presidency.

“The FBI surveilled a US citizen for nearly a year based on those lies,” Keilty said, referring to the wiretaps of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. The FBI affidavits used to secure those surveillance warrants included material that came from the Trump-Russia dossier.

Danchenko’s lawyer also blasted the Trump-era Justice Department for “exposing” him as an FBI informant and for launching the probe that led to his prosecution.

“He was trying to help the FBI, and now they’re indicting him for it,” Sears said.

As a paid informant, Danchenko significantly assisted multiple FBI probes between 2017 and 2020. But the FBI was forced to cut ties with Danchenko in late 2020, after the Justice Department indirectly outed him as a dossier source.

“He deserved more than to be exposed because a bunch of politicians put politics over national security,” Sears said. (read more)

Biden Begs OPEC+ to Delay Vote Until After Midterms

Armstrong Economics Blog/Corruption Re-Posted Oct 17, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Joe Biden is playing dirty before the midterm elections by urging Saudi Arabia to delay the OPEC+ oil vote until December. The Saudis, who unofficially run OPEC+, do not respect Joe. OPEC+ voted on October 5 to cut oil production despite Joe’s desperate pleas. In a desperate attempt to avoid further embarrassment, Biden asked them to delay the next vote.

The Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia replied with a letter rejecting Biden’s requests. The kingdom said they declined Biden’s request in October for purely financial reasons. They reject the idea that they declined on behalf of Russia and said that they are not interfering in international conflicts. Worse, they believe that Biden is promoting the idea that Saudi Arabia is against the United States. In reality, they want to make money and be left alone. Oil is what keeps their kingdom afloat. The letter confirms their relationship with the United States is “strategic” as a trading partner and nothing more.

As for pushing back the next vote, that is not in Saudi Arabia’s interest. They explained that “economic analyses indicate that postponing the OPEC+ decision for a month, according to what has been suggested, would have had negative economic consequences.”

White House officials have confirmed Joe’s election interference. “We presented Saudi Arabia with analysis to show that there was no market basis to cut production targets, and that they could easily wait for the next OPEC meeting to see how things developed,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said in a statement. Yet, the White House swears this decision has nothing to do with the midterms.

This sounds like election interference to me.

Putin is Not the Madman – Biden is Just Senile

Armstrong Economics Blog/Russia Re-Posted Oct 16, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

I feel sorry for you for those who believe the propaganda put out to justify a war that Putin is this madman. Be careful what you believe and wish for. You probably think the government really cares about you and your future. You probably still wear masks driving alone, or even when you sleep, and possibly a condom just in case for good measure.

There are those of us who have REAL contacts and who understand REAL geopolitics and the way governments create wars by filling the minds of their people that there are weapons of mass destruction. Now even a former MI6 agent has come out and said the same thing. You better be careful what you wish for. Putin was selected by Yeltsin BECAUSE he was not a Communist and was moderate. Yeltsin was under siege from the communists who did want to resurrect the USSR and the oligarchs who wanted to strip mine Russia for themselves. If Putin was a communist, Yeltsin and his family would have been in prison.

I have all the declassified documents from the Clinton Administration that CONFIRM that Putin was nothing that the propaganda is all about. He NEVER sought to resurrect the USSR. As far as the KGB, he was never high-ranking and quit in 1991 as soon as Russia fell. All of the comments put out there by John McCain were outright lies. I have the security briefing he read and said the opposite because he was a Neocon who just wanted endless wars.

So you can believe all the BS. They need you to do that to wage war and offer your life on their altar of political agendas. If you think you will be an armchair general and watch this war on CNN, sorry. It will come to a neighborhood near you. I just thank God I am not 18. The future these people want is total insanity. The Weimar Republic in Germany took place because it was a revolution against the imperial government that always waged war. We face the same fate when the people realize this has been a mountain of lies for a political agenda. When Zelensky came to power, he promised peace. He was then instructed by the West that was not acceptable. The West promoted the civil war in Ukraine.

It is the hardliners putting pressure on Putin because he has been “too soft” on Ukraine. Replace Putin and we will get World War III. Zelensky better pack his high-heels in an emergency exit bag.

Zelensky Still Pushing to Start World War III

Armstrong Economics Blog/Ukraine Re-Posted Oct 16, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Ukraine is doomed unless it removes Zelensky from power. I have warned that this guy whose only qualification is to dance in high heels, is a threat to the entire world. The West has cheered him and has been using the Ukrainian people as cannon fodder for their war to conquer Russia is endangering everyone, everywhere. His latest plea is for the West to send troops to guard the border with Belarus. Vladimir Makei, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs, has responded that deploying a mission of representatives of Western countries on the Ukrainian-Belarusian border would be equivalent to “these third countries directly engaging in the Ukrainian conflict.” Indeed, Zelensky knows what he is asking for and has already said many times that World War III has already begun.

Zelensky has his hundred of millions stashed offshore. The Ukrainian people better wake up. Their country will be left in total ruin and the flow of billions will come to an end. War ALWAYS costs more lives of civilians than soldiers. That is true of every war from World War I to Vietnam. This is a proxy war by Neocons who just hate Russia and push for its extinction. I have been warned that their designs will fail. They think they can conquer the world like Napoleon waging war neatly one at a time. That will fail. China will NOT stand by and allow Russia to be defeated for they know they will be next. This is total insanity, and there seems to be no leader anywhere who dares to even suggest peace. China has also told its citizen to leave Ukraine now. The window is closing and if the Ukrainian people think this high-heel dancing head of state will stand there with the last man, they are dreaming. He will have his private jet waiting to take him to his blood money.

To those Ukrainians living in Germany and thinking there will be something to return to, you better think again. Beware of November.

John Durham Questions FBI Witnesses to Highlight Robert Mueller’s Lies to Congress – Yes, Durham is Publicly Exposing the Intent and Extent of Special Counsel Corruption, But….

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 16, 2022 | sundance

October 16, 2022 | sundance | 202 Comments

This might be the most important outline to understand this whole sordid mess…

During the Friday testimony of witnesses put on the stand by Special Counsel John Durham, there were two key witnesses, FBI Analyst Brittany Hertzog and FBI Special Agent Amy Anderson.  Both witnesses testified they were part of the Mueller investigative team with a primary mission to investigate the claims in/around the Christopher Steele dossier.  [See Technofog Substack for transcript excerpts HERE]

The testimony of FBI agent Anderson and FBI analyst Hertzog (about their role in the Mueller probe) leads to one inescapable conclusion, Robert Mueller lied to congress when he testified the special counsel did not investigate Chris Steele, the Steele Dossier, Fusion GPS and/or Glenn Simpson.   Mueller claimed it was “outside my purview.”

While Anderson and Hertzog are tied to the case against Igor Danchenko, it appears the primary purpose of their being called as witnesses in the trial is not about Danchenko.  It appears John Durham presented them for testimony to ‘gently‘ and ‘diplomatically‘ expose the corrupt intent of the two-year Robert Mueller investigation.  However, before getting all excited about Durham exposing Mueller be awareThere’s an outrage trap in here!

To fully comprehend the dynamic, we first need a background context, then a review of the witness statements, then an understanding of the outrage trap.

(1) Background Context:

AFTER originally interviewing Danchenko in January and February 2017, in March the DOJ/FBI then reinterviewed him before refiling the second FISA renewal in April.   With Danchenko on their payroll they FBI did not need to worry about him undermining the Trump-Russia narrative or speaking the truth about the dossier.  This approach protected the fraudulently obtained title-1 surveillance warrant.  The surveillance warrant was renewed in April.

AFTER Robert Mueller is appointed special counsel in May 2017, with Danchenko on the FBI payroll and under control.  When Danchenko is interviewed on June 15, 2017, he is being interviewed as part of the Mueller operation. Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Andrew Weissmann now submit the FISA application for another renewal on June 29, 2017.  The fraudulently obtained title-1 surveillance warrant was again renewed.

The reason to keep Danchenko on the FBI payroll is to mitigate any risk he might present if he were to speak.  A corrupt FBI network in Washington DC put a control mechanism over Danchenko in order to preserve their surveillance warrant, which was built upon fraud by using the Steele Dossier. They renewed the surveillance warrant twice more (April and June) while Danchenko was a paid ($200,000+) confidential human source.

As you can see from the Durham case against Igor Danchenko, a controlled Danchenko was then handed-off to the Mueller probe, who kept Danchenko on the FBI payroll throughout the Robert Mueller investigation (ended in April 2019) until October 2020 when Danchenko was dropped by the FBI and John Durham “officially” took over and was appointed special counsel.

Dates are important – On July 24, 2019, when Robert Mueller is in front of congress, answering questions about Chris Steele, the dossier and the Steele sources therein, Mueller was able to deflect and dodge answering questions about it because AG Bill Barr put John Durham into place in May 2019.  AG Bill Barr put John Durham into place in May 2019, immediately following Robert Mueller’s completed investigation, April 2019, for this exact reason.

(2) The Hertzog and Anderson Testimony: [H/T Technofog]

Hertzog was with the FBI from 2008 through 2019 as an intelligence analyst with a primary focus on Russian counterintelligence. She described her role as an analyst who “looks at information and tries to identify trends, patterns, and investigative next steps.” She was assigned to the Directorate of Intelligence at FBI Headquarters.

Hertzog was assigned to Special Counsel Mueller’s Office in July 2017.  She described her role and chain of command with the Mueller Team:

Q         And what, generally, was your role with the Special Counsel Mueller’s team?

A         I was primarily initially to focus on looking into  reports that the FBI had received on Russian matters.

Q         All right. Did those reports have a particular name?

A         We referred to them typically as the Steele dossier.

Q         Now, as a member of Special Counsel Mueller’s team, was there a chain of command?

A         Yes.

Q         Can you describe the chain of command that you worked with?

A         I reported directly to SIA Brian Auten. Above him was Special Counsel Mueller. There were horizontal chains of reporting as well. So there was an attorney, a supervisory special agent, and then head of FBI personnel.

Q         Okay. So you had occasion to work with special agents as well, correct?

A         Correct.

Q         And who were some of the special agents that you worked with Special Counsel Mueller?

A         I worked with Supervisory Special Agent Amy Anderson and Supervisory Special Agent Joe Nelson.

Hertzog became familiar with the Steele Dossier, and with the parties involved in the Steele Dossier, once she joined the Mueller Team:

Q         And how did you become familiar with Mr. Steele?

A         When I reported [July 2017] to the Special Counsel’s Office, SCO, I had received background information on the investigation up until that point.

It was her job to “look into the Steele Dossier.” She described this as “trying to identify the sourcing for the claims in the dossier and, specifically, the national security threat with regards to the Russian influence piece.” Hertzog explains:

Q         And a lot of names appeared in those dossier reports?

A         Correct.

Q         Did you learn that there were a number of different sources that the defendant relied on?

A         Yes.

Q         Did you have a particular focus on any of those sources?

A         There were a number of sub-sources that were identified for investigative next steps.

Q         Okay. And did you have a particular individual that you focused on?

A         Yes. There was an individual named Olga Galkina who was — when I was assigned to SCO, was my primary focus initially.

Compare Hertzog’s testimony to the words of Robert Mueller:

Agent Amy Anderson, who works in the field of counterintelligence, was part of the Crossfire Hurricane/Mueller Team from April 2017 through January of 2018. Her initial assignment was “to attempt to validate the Steele Dossier,” to “either verify the reporting or determine that it was not accurate.”

Anderson described her role and supervisors with Special Counsel Mueller:

Q         What was your initial — who were you initially working with in that role at the Special Counsel’s investigation?

A         When I first arrived at the Special Counsel, I worked with Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten, as well as quite a few other intelligence analysts, Stephanie LaParre, Iva Drasinover. We had a team that was working the dossier in particular.

Q         Did you work with someone by the name of Brittany Hertzog?

A         I worked with Brittany a little bit later. She came in not at the very beginning but maybe a month after, a month or two.

Q         And in terms of who you reported to at the Special Counsel’s office, if you could, just tell us who you reported to.

A         Technically, I reported to Supervisory Special Agent Joe Nelson.

Essentially, agent Anderson, together with analyst Hertzog, did deep investigative work into the Dossier, Igor Danchenko and his relationship with Charles Dolan.  FBI agent Amy Anderson then compiled a report outlining the fraud within the dossier and the political relationships with the people who assembled it.  Anderson then passed that report up the chain of command in the Mueller investigation to Supervisory Special Agent Joe Nelson who buried it and did nothing.

So, we can easily see that Robert Mueller and Andrew Weissman, the special counsel team, did in fact spend a great deal of time and resources investigating the background of the Steele Dossier, including interviewing Christopher Steele himself, and all the claims within the dossier to include investigations of Danchenko and Dolan and other participants.

As a result of the FBI witness testimony, everyone can easily say that Robert Mueller mislead or lied to congress during his July 24, 2019, testimony.  However, there’s an outrage trap in here, and John Durham certainly has to know it.

(3) The Outrage Trap:

Listen carefully to the testimony of Rober Mueller on July 24, 2019, best encapsulated within these two specific rounds of questioning. As noted by PBS, “Mueller, who led an investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and possible ties to President Donald Trump’s campaign, declined to answer questions regarding how the probe began or whether the so-called Steele dossier was a contributing factor.”  WATCH:

.

Robert Mueller also claimed not to know who Fusion GPS was, or what role Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson, played in the assembly of the Steele Dossier.

.

Robert Mueller is in front of congress in July 2019, answering questions about Chris Steele, the dossier and the Steele sources therein.  Mueller was able to deflect and dodge answering questions about it because AG Bill Barr put John Durham into place in May 2019.

When Robert Mueller is saying there’s another group in the DOJ looking specifically at the Chris Steele, Dossier, Fusion GPS and Glenn Simpson aspect to the fraudulent 2016/2017 claims about Trump-Russia collusion in the 2016 election, he is talking about the John Durham investigation.

Mueller is citing Durham as the reason why his purview, and subsequent report as released, did not include the Steele dossier, Fusion GPS and Glenn Simpson information.

Mueller is saying that stuff is the responsibility of “the other internal investigative unit,” ie. John Durham.

When you stand back and remind yourself of the Bill Barr statements and affirmations about the ‘integrity’ and ‘honor’ of Robert Mueller, one can only accept that AG Bill Barr put John Durham into place in May 2019, immediately following Robert Mueller’s completed investigation, April 2019, so that Mueller would have a shield for why the origin of the Trump-Russia is outside his purview.

This is how they use silos as weapons and shields.  Not in my purview is the same as not in my silo.

Mueller was citing Durham as the reason his team did not expand their probe to fully investigate Chris Steele et al.  Mueller’s special counsel has an escape hatch for why they did nothing with their own investigative findings…. That was John Durham’s job.  This is the outrage trap.

AG Bill Barr established John Durham’s probe (silo) so that Robert Mueller’s probe (silo) would have cover.

If John Durham’s investigative inquiry did not exist prior to that July 2019 testimony by Robert Mueller, then Mueller would have lied to congress.

AG Bill Barr put Durham into place, essentially constructed another silo, to protect his ‘good friend’ Robert Mueller….

….The DC two-step is achieved.

Russell Brand Discusses the Common Sense and Pragmatism of Trump on Subject of Ukraine

It appears our friend Neil Oliver has the week off. So, we will visit another, albeit saltier, U.K. voice who is also grounded in pragmatic common sense.  Russell Brand recently discussed how “President Trump is Right” about the issues around the Ukraine war and the conflict with Russia.

Mr. Brand notes a few bold nuances that are mostly lost in the media conversation and uses his sarcastic humor to point out the current reality. WATCH:

FBI Issues Bulletin Warning About “Election Crimes” Ahead of the 2022 Midterm

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 15, 2022 | sundance

It is very clear to anyone who has paid attention that part of the FBI ideological mission is to interfere in U.S. elections.

The FBI’s 2016 surveillance and spying operation against candidate Trump was one example.  The 2018 Cesear Sayoc pipe bomb case, consisting of “energetic material that may become combustible when subjected to heat or friction,” was another.  The 2020 FBI constructed efforts to create a Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping case was yet another.

In short, the FBI is known to be engaged in creating situations intended to manipulate election outcomes.  With that context in mind, a recent bulletin from the FBI warning of specific election crimes in the 2022 midterms should be evaluated for the motive behind the bulletin itself:

Suspicious Cat remains, well, suspicious….

Senator Chuck Grassley sent a letter [pdf HERE] to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray, notifying them of whistleblower allegations from within the FBI that senior leadership in both Main Justice and FBI are involved in a coordinated effort to cover-up criminal activity related to Hunter Biden.

The whistleblower allegations, in combination with the documented history of DOJ and FBI misconduct, culminate in Senator Grassley stating:

“If these allegations are true and accurate, the Justice Department and FBI are – and have been – institutionally corrupted to their very core to the point in which the United States Congress and the American people will have no confidence in the equal application of the law. Attorney General Garland and Director Wray, simply put, based on the allegations that I’ve received from numerous whistleblowers, you have systemic and existential problems within your agencies.” (LINK)

2021: October 19th, Representative Thomas Massie questions AG Merrick Garland about the FBI involvement in the January 6 DC protest.   October 20th, Chris Steele appears on ABC to shape a defensive narrative around Clinton’s involvement.  October 21st, the FBI raids Oleg Deripaska.  November 5th, the FBI raids Project Veritas and leaks the information obtained to the New York Times.

Washington DC houses the Fourth Branch of Government, an unaccountable and abusive control vehicle; rusted to the core with metastatic corruption.  Unfortunately, Bill Barr was the bondo application, and John Durham appears to be the spray paint. The clear objective is to cover up the corruption from public view.  The FBI is to Washington DC what the FSB represents to Moscow.

♦ For all the new eyes of the world now starting to see this, let me remind you where this is going.  The DOJ and FBI now claim “anti-law enforcement violent extremists – pose the “greatest threat” domestically, the narrative continues.  WHY?….

Perhaps I am wrong, but the only time I can recall in modern U.S. history that aggressive and illegal federal activity was halted mid-effort, was the example of the Clive Bundy ranch in 2014.  Armed citizens forced federal authorities, including the FBI, to back down.   In response to their loss, former AG Eric Holder vowed to revive “a domestic terrorism task force.”  Contemplate that rsponse against the 2021 statements of the FBI saying domestic violent extremists (DVE’s) represent the greatest threat.  Can you see the connective tissue?

From the worldview of the DOJ/FBI, law-abiding U.S. citizens  – pushed to the point of taking up defensive arms against federal agents – are a threat.  Ergo, the newest definition of “Domestic Violent Extremists, or DVEs”, to define who the FBI view as their most substantive enemy.  Two years after the Bundy Ranch standoff, the FBI shot and killed LaVoy Finicum, fulfilling their promise to eliminate extremists as defined by their worldview.

The FBI was fully aware of the Boston Marathon bombers, the Tsarnaev brothers, before they executed their plot.  The FBI took no action.  The FBI knew about the San Bernardino terrorists, specifically Tasfeen Malik, and were monitoring her phone calls and communications before her and Syed Farook executed their attack killing 14 people and leaving 22 others seriously injured.  The FBI took no action.  The FBI knew Colorado grocery store shooter Ahmad Alissa before he executed his attack.  The FBI took no action.

The FBI knew in advance of the Pulse Nightclub shooter (Omar Mateen) and were tipped off by the local sheriff. The FBI knew in advance of the San Bernardino Terrorists (Tashfeen Malik). The FBI knew in advance of the Boston Marathon Bombers (the Tsarnaev brothers) tipped off by Russians.  The FBI knew in advance of the Parkland High School shooter (Nikolas Cruz). The FBI knew in advance of the Fort Hood shooter (Nidal Hasan), and the FBI knew in advance of Colorado grocery store shooter Ahmad al-Aliwi Alissa.  The FBI took no action.

Consider the case of the first recorded ISIS attack on U.S. soil in Garland, Texas in 2015.  The FBI not only knew the shooters (Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi) in advance, the FBI took the shooters to the venue and were standing only a few yards away when Simpson and Soofi opened fire.  Yes, you read that correctly – the FBI took the terrorists to the event and then watched it unfold.  “An FBI trainer suggested in an interview with “60 Minutes” that, had the attack been bigger, the agency’s numerous ties to the shooter would have led to a congressional investigation.”

Remember, shortly before the 2018 mid-term election, when Ceasar Syoc – a man living in his van – was caught sending “energetic material that can become combustible when subjected to heat or friction”, or what FBI Director Christopher Wray called “not hoax devices“?   Remember how sketchy everything about that was, including the child-like perpetrator telling a judge later than he was trying to walk back his guilty plea because he was tricked into signing a confession for a crime he did not create.

Or more recently, the goofball plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer that involved 18 suspects, twelve of them actually working for the FBI as the plot was hatched?  And we cannot forget the January 6th. DC protest turned insurrection effort, which is clearly looking like an FBI inspired and coordinated effort.

Have we forgotten the Atlanta “Olympic Park Bombing”, and the FBI intentionally setting up transparently innocent, Richard Jewel?

Then, there’s the entirety of the FBI conduct in “Spygate”, the demonstrably evident FBI operation to conduct political surveillance against Donald Trump using their investigative authorities; and the downstream consequences of a massive institutional effort to cover up one of the biggest justice department scandals in the history of our nation.   The original effort against Donald Trump used massive resources from the DOJ and FBI.  Heck, the coverup operation using the Mueller/Weissmann special counsel used more than 50 investigative FBI agents alone.

And of course, the FBI still had 13 extra agents available to rush to a NASCAR racetrack to investigate a garage door pull-down rope that might have been perceived as a noose; but the serial rape of hundreds of teenage girls, eh, not-so-much effort – even when they are standing in front of the FBI begging for help.

It is important to realize exactly what happened in the case of the Olympic gymnasts and the rape of hundreds of teenage girls.  When the victims and parents told the FBI about what Larry Nassar was doing, the FBI did not bungle the investigation, the FBI did not investigate.

But worse…. after the parents kept coming back to the FBI to ask what was going on; and report that other parents were now reporting that new rapes and assaults were ongoing; the FBI told those parents an investigation was ongoing.  Except it wasn’t. The FBI was lying.

As the FBI was telling the victims they were investigating Larry Nassar, the FBI was doing no such thing.  The FBI was lying to the victims and their families.  The FBI was not taking any action whatsoever to address the multitude of claims against Nassar.

After the FBI was caught lying about their conduct, they then lied to the internal oversight, the OIG, about everything surrounding their conduct.    The FBI didn’t make a mistake, or drop the proverbial ball, they intentionally and specifically maintained the sexual exploitation of teenage girls by doing absolutely nothing with the complaints they received.   This is not misconduct, this is purposeful.

Then, as if to apply salt to the open wound of severe FBI politicization….what did the FBI do with the Hunter Biden laptop?

[Notice I’ve set the issue of the disappearing Huma Abedin/Anthony Weiner laptop –in the known custody of the FBI– over there in the corner, next to missing investigation of the Awan brothers.]

My point is this…

What the Federal Security Service (FSB) is to the internal security of the Russian state; so too is the FBI in performing the same function for the U.S. federal government.

The FBI is a U.S. version of the Russian “State Police”; and the FBI is deployed -almost exclusively- to attack domestic enemies of those who control government; while they protect the interests of the U.S. Fourth Branch of Government.  That is the clear and accurate domestic prism to contextualize their perceived mission: “domestic violent extremists pose the greatest threat” to their objective.

Put another way, “We The People”, who fight against government abuse and usurpation, are the FBI’s actual and literal enemy.

Let me be very clear with another brutally obvious example.  Antifa could not exist as an organization; capable to organize and carry out violent attacks against their targets; without the full support of the FBI.   If the FBI wanted to arrest members of Antifa, who are actually conducting violence, they could do it easily – with little effort.

It is the absence of any action by the FBI toward Antifa, that tells us the FBI is enabling that violent extremist behavior to continue.  Once you accept that transparent point of truth; then, you realize the FBI definition of domestic violent extremism is something else entirely.

The FBI is not a law enforcement or investigative division of the U.S. Department of Justice.  The FBI is a political weapon of a larger institution that is now focused almost entirely toward supporting a radical agenda to destroy civil society in the United States.

Anyone who continues to push the fraudulent “honorable FBI rank and file talking point”, is, at this point in history, willfully and purposefully operating to deceive the American people on behalf of government interests who are intent on destroying us.  It is not a difference of opinion any longer.  It is a matter of just accepting what is staring us directly in the face….

Canadians Beware

Armstrong Economics Blog/Canada Re-Posted Oct 14, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: Martin

If we are going to have a war is my money safe in my Canadian banks, or should I have some cash?

Regards

ANSWER: Canadians should keep some US dollars in cash. Trudeau canceled high-value notes. As of January 2021, he obtained the power to cancel Canadian currency as they do in Europe. Once that power was exercised, he would do it again. He is entirely on board with Klaus Schwab and this agenda of the World Economic Forum is intentionally pushing for war with Russia.

As I have said, Putin had ZERO intention of conquering Ukraine. This has been a propaganda war. The first thing you do is take down the power grid. I think if war is to come, Putin can wipe out Europe very easily – take down the power grid. With digital currencies and electric cars, this will only leave society extremely vulnerable as never before. So you want cash, for banks can be shut down by targeting the power grids.
