New York Times Reports U.S. Intel Agencies Spent Three Months Seeding Information Into Russia Through China

There’s a New York Times article getting attention today, as the article frames a narrative of the U.S. intelligence community and diplomatic offices trying to get China to influence Russia away from invading Ukraine.

However, as with all NYT reporting of the U.S. intelligence apparatus, the information within the article must be viewed through a different prism to understand the real motives being discussed.

Never ascribe to incompetence, that which can be explained by intent.

The Deep State narrative, what the NYT reports, begins thusly:

WASHINGTON — Over three months, senior Biden administration officials held half a dozen urgent meetings with top Chinese officials in which the Americans presented intelligence showing Russia’s troop buildup around Ukraine and beseeched the Chinese to tell Russia not to invade, according to U.S. officials.

Each time, the Chinese officials, including the foreign minister and the ambassador to the United States, rebuffed the Americans, saying they did not think an invasion was in the works. After one diplomatic exchange in December, U.S. officials got intelligence showing Beijing had shared the information with Moscow, telling the Russians that the United States was trying to sow discord — and that China would not try to impede Russian plans and actions, the officials said.

The previously unreported talks between American and Chinese officials show how the Biden administration tried to use intelligence findings and diplomacy to persuade a superpower it views as a growing adversary to stop the invasion of Ukraine, and how that nation, led by President Xi Jinping, persistently sided with Russia even as the evidence of Moscow’s plans for a military offensive grew over the winter.

This account is based on interviews with senior administration officials with knowledge of the conversations who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the diplomacy. The Chinese Embassy spokesman, Liu Pengyu, answered an earlier request for comment a half-day after this article was posted online, saying, “For some time, China has actively promoted the political settlement process of the Ukraine issue.” (read more)

The article goes on to say that China shared the information with Russia, and then outlines how Russia and China are the geopolitical partnership in the modern era.  However, here’s the part where the motive and deep state angles are missed.

Do not view the details of this article outline through the prism printed by the intelligence apparatus; instead, view this article through the prism that U.S. intelligence and State Dept operatives were planting information into China, knowing it would be shared with Russia.

Obviously, anyone who follows geopolitical events already knows that China and Russia are partners against the west.  Why would the U.S. intelligence apparatus think China would not share the details of the intelligence and/or seek to block Russian intents?  The short answer is, they wouldn’t.

The White House, U.S. intel and Dept of State would know, to a guaranteed certainty, that any information they shared with China would get directly delivered to Russia.  All information the United States would share (think ‘seed’) with China, would therefore be intended to get to Russia.

As a consequence, if the White House, CIA, State Department or U.S. intelligence community wanted to provoke Russian aggression, they would purposefully put that provocation material into the hands of the Chinese.   THAT is the main takeaway from the New York Times article.

The U.S. intelligence apparatus was seeding information to Russia via China for three months prior to the triggering point.

What that provocation intelligence contained is unknown, but the U.S. delivering it through a third party is now confirmed.

It’s all a competing disinformation, manipulated information and propaganda warfare folks.  Do not take any claim, any construct, any narrative from any side, at face value.  This is where the underlying alignment of U.S. media becomes critical.

After Success With Chavez and El Chapo, Hollywood Actor Sean Penn Heads to Ukraine To Document Russian Invasion Against Zelenskyy

Like a bad penny, the Hollywood actor shows up right before bad things happen; Vice News is likely in the background of the cinematography.

Previously, Sean Penn headed to Venezuela to showcase support for Hugo Chavez, and that led to millions suffering starvation.  A few years later, he turns up in Mexico supporting infamously brutal drug lord Joaquín Archivaldo “El Chapo” Guzmán. Conspicuously, right before the FBI nabbed El Chapo.  Now Penn resurfaces in Ukraine to document the downfall of Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Hollywood is one of the more famous State Department Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s).  They have been involved in deep state shaping of public opinion for quite some time.

Please pay attention to this little sentence: “Penn previously visited Ukraine in November 2021 to prepare for the documentary.”  If you find yourself wondering how Sean Penn would know in November of last year that Ukraine would fall to a Russian invasion four months later, well, you are a conspiracy theorist or something.

(Via Yahoo) […] Penn was photographed in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, on Thursday attending a press briefing about the conflict. The Ukrainian government publicly thanked the Oscar-winning actor for coming to the country.

“The director specially came to Kyiv to record all the events that are currently happening in Ukraine and to tell the world the truth about Russia’s invasion of our country. Sean Penn is among those who support Ukraine in Ukraine today. Our country is grateful to him for such a show of courage and honesty,” the Office of the President of Ukraine said in a statement to Newsweek.

Penn has visited the Office of the President during his visit. He has also spoken with Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, local journalists and members of the Ukrainian military.

According to a translation, the statement continued: “Sean Penn is demonstrating bravery that many others have been lacking, in particular some Western politicians. The more people like that—true friends of Ukraine, who support the fight for freedom — the quicker we can stop this heinous invasion by Russia.”

Penn previously visited Ukraine in November 2021 to prepare for the documentary. Yahoo Entertainment reached out to a rep for the director for comment. (read more)

Hillary Clinton Calls for Non-Governmental Actors and Hackers To Lead the United States Military Into a Hot War Against Russia in Ukraine

Let us not forget the history of Egypt 2011, Libya 2012 and the original U.S. State Department Ukraine operations in 2014.

Everything we are seeing in U.S. media surrounding U.S. interests in Ukraine is a massive propaganda operation with the headquarters in the U.S. State Department and U.S. intelligence community.  The sense of sympathy you are feeling is part of an intentionally manipulative operation from within this DC matrix.

The images, pictures, videos, speeches, soundbites and the cinematography broadcast by U.S. corporate media are all purposefully intended to create a very specific outlook within the American people toward the issues in Ukraine.  The leftist United Nations, and the leftist U.S State Dept, will work together on this just like they have done in the prior examples (Ukraine 1.0, Libya, Egypt, etc.)

If you question any of their constructs, if you point out the puppet strings, if you notice the collective distribution of specifically repeated patterns, you are a labeled a Russian apologist.  However, it is critical to retain our reference points to recognize when we are being misled by this effort.

This is not to say that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a good actor in this scenario, he’s not.  This is also not to say that Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a willful participant in this geopolitical scheme, he’s not.  Zelenskyy is stuck in a scenario that is not in his control. He is doing the best he can to avoid the worst outcome, which means he is aligning with the U.S. State Dept, because it is the least bad of the two current options.

There are genuine Ukraine freedom fighters, and genuine leaders inside Ukraine who are fighting to remain an independent state free from the influence of Russia.   However, the free Ukrainian elements are also stuck with the political manipulations of external forces like the U.S. and NATO.

The ultra-leftists in the U.S. Deep State Department have been playing in Ukraine for well over a decade.  Do you really think they will just walk away from their investments without fighting to retain that influence? Of course not.

Additionally, do you think the DC system has put this much effort into their control over Ukraine politics for this long, and would walk away without putting forth a fight? Again, of course not.  This is the playground of people like former Senator John McCain and current U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham. Within the DC alignment, there is no distance between the political parties when it comes to the benefits of geopolitical influence.

Republicans and Democrats are united in “foreign policy”, and institutions like the Senate Foreign Relations Committee are aligned with the intents and purposes of the Deep State intelligence apparatus and U.S. State Department.  This is an alignment based on mutually beneficial outcomes.

♦ Without a doubt, there are U.S. military “contractors” and dark money special operations forces embedded within the Ukraine fighting units, who can quickly melt into the civilian population if an insurgency approach is needed.  If Russia takes all of Ukraine (that’s a big ‘if’), we can be certain that U.S. elements will be inside the country triggering conflict to retake western control.  The U.S. will never give up on their Ukraine investments.

Authorization ‘finding memos‘, permitting covert operations in Ukraine, from the White House to the Gang of Eight in Congress would easily find support.  The DC system will collectively align in common purpose, and there will be no dissent permitted.  We are seeing that now.

All of that said… depending on how tenuous it gets, the western alliance is already positioning to trigger an actual ‘hot’ conflict with deployment of the NATO article five charter under the auspices of cyber warfare.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said today that “cyberattacks” against any NATO country by Russia can trigger article five of the NATO treaty.  Meaning U.S-NATO forces will consider cyberattacks as justification for military engagement by the U.S. and NATO in Ukraine.

The groundwork is being assembled for the United States to be pushed into more open military engagement.  In order to pull this off, they need the media system to push a sympathy narrative, that’s where the Hollywood-centric U.S. State Department steps in.  Watch out for this “pallywood” type propaganda when it surfaces, and recognize the intent is to manipulate the way you think, view and feel about the issues as they unfold.

Yesterday, from the White House podium, Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh boiled down the leftist view of geopolitical power to a cultural issue of social likeability.  Singh stated, “Strategic success in the 21st century is not about a physical land grab of territory; that’s what Putin has done.  In this century, strategic power is increasingly measured and exercised by economic strength, by technological sophistication and your story – who you are, what your values are; can you attract ideas and talent and goodwill? And on each of those measures, this will be a failure for Russia.”

This is the same outlook on geopolitical power that took us to an interventionist position in Egypt, by removing Hosni Mubarark, and in Libya, killing Mouamar Kaddaffi.  This is an approach based on using Big Tech and social media as weapons to manipulate the perspectives of Americans to support the interventionist intents of the U.S. government.  They succeeded then in the Middle East by igniting the Islamist Spring, and they succeeded again in 2014 in the original Ukraine intervention.

Big Tech (Google, Microsoft) and Social Media operations like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, etc., are “non-governmental actors” who work on behalf of the intents of the U.S. government, specifically the U.S. State Dept.   The intent is to shape opinion.

Collaboratively, this network will coordinate with the messaging and narrative within corporate media.  The alphabets, CNN, CNNi, Fox, MSNBC and the on-line allies at the New York Times, Washington Post, Politico, etc. then collaborate.  Together the media and tech form a massive psychological campaign against the psyche of the American public.  Everything is purposeful.

That’s the backdrop for this important statement today from Hillary Clinton as she calls for all these interests and agencies to align in common cause to assist in the Ukraine “story”, to use the words of Daleep Singh yesterday.  Listen to how former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton asks for “non-governmental” actors to get involved.  The video is only two minutes, but listen carefully at 00:36 forward {Direct Rumble Link}:

Keep in mind that NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg said cyberattacks by Russia would be considered triggers for article five war.  Now you see Hillary Clinton openly called for the United States government and NGA’s to conduct cyberattacks against Russia.  “I think we could also be attacking a lot of the government institutions and again, the oligarchs and their way of life through cyberattacks,” she declares.

We are being manipulated for military engagement within Ukraine.

We are being manipulated by the propaganda of the U.S. State Dept.

We are being manipulated.

It is not Ukraine President Volodymyr’s fault.   He is as much a victim in this as we are.

The People Do Not Want War

Armstrong Economics Blog/War Re-Posted Feb 25, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Putin wants a war, but the people do not. Russians gathered in over 44 cities to protest the war on Thursday, despite knowing that there would be consequences. The Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs vowed to take “all necessary measures to ensure public order.” Russia has notoriously harsh protesting laws and any opposition to the Kremlin is instantly stifled.

“One should be aware of the negative legal consequences of these actions in the form of prosecution up to criminal liability,” the Ministry noted. “The Russian Interior Ministry warns that any provocative actions, aggression toward police officers, and failure to obey their legitimate demands will be immediately prevented. People committing such offenses will be detained and held liable.”

Despite the warnings, people took to the streets to demand peace. Independent monitoring group OVD-Info believes that at least 850 people have been arrested so far, and that number is rising by the hour. Anyone opposing the war will be detained, as reports are surfacing of police visiting activists’ homes.

This is exactly what Trudeau did to the people protesting in Canada. From an outsider’s perspective, it may seem like everyone supports a government’s actions be it vaccine mandates or war. The truth of the matter is that the people have no say in the matter. Russians do not necessarily want a war, but the people representing them do.

Ukraine Arming Citizens

Armstrong Economics Blog/War Re-Posted Feb 25, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine’s president, has acknowledged that his military is not able to ward off Russia’s invasion and is asking citizens to participate in the war. In 2022, world leaders use social media to speak to their citizens. “We will give weapons to anyone who wants to defend the country. Be ready to support Ukraine in the squares of our cities,” Zelenskyy tweeted, indicating that he is preparing for an all-out on-the-ground war.

Before Russia launched their attack, Ukraine’s president stated, “If they [Russia] attack, if they try to take our county – our freedom, our lives, the lives of our children – we will be defending ourselves… As you attack, it will be our faces you see, not our backs.” Zelenskyy also recently reported that his calls to Russia have gone unanswered. Negotiations are no longer an option.

According to estimates, private gun ownership in Ukraine averages 6.6 firearms per 100 people. Russians have already breached the nation’s capital, seized Chernobyl, and are rapidly expanding into every area of Ukraine. Citizens fighting trained armed forces will lead to a massacre. Hundreds of soldiers have died in the initial attack and the death toll will only rise. Ukraine requested that its citizens take up arms against the Russians on the first day of the invasion, indicating Ukraine lost the war before it began.

White House Defines Strategic Success Against Russia As the Value of Their Story, Who Is More Attractive to the World

THIS video from the White House briefing today, you absolutely must watch to gain a fulsome understanding of how the modern political left views the world of geopolitical contests in 2022.

Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council, Daleep Singh, was presented at the podium today to explain the strategic policy of the Biden administration toward Russia.

Singh’s remarks outlining the view of the ‘west’ toward defeating Russia are eloquent yet batshit crazy in their ideological context.  Daleep Singh sounds like the senior head of a Google Human Resources operation telling the department heads how they need to convey their feelings in order to hire the talent for continued growth in the industry.  This is a direct quote:

…”Ultimately, the goal of our sanctions is to make this a strategic failure for Russia; and let’s define a little bit of what that means. Strategic success in the 21st century is not about a physical land grab of territory; that’s what Putin has done.  In this century, strategic power is increasingly measured and exercised by economic strength, by technological sophistication and your story – who you are, what your values are; can you attract ideas and talent and goodwill? And on each of those measures, this will be a failure for Russia.”

WATCH (14:31, prompted):

Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh boils down geopolitical power to a cultural issue of social likeability.

Let this sink in.

Realize that what he is saying is the strategy leading our foreign policy.

Even if what he was saying is reasonable, and it’s not, I’m thinking strong Russians with hot chicks, nice cars, fast boats and a culture of polite strength, loyalty and fierce protection are winning the “story” side of the argument.

In essence, he is saying the quiet part out loud…. which explains why Obama, Clinton and now Biden are using social media to advance geopolitical strategies.

Pop icons are used as influencers and ambassadors. Hollywood is the quintessential State Department.  What Singh is saying is really the true way the modern political left view politics in general, but they rarely say this stuff so openly.

Joe Biden Holds a Press Conference Declaring “No one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening”

Earlier today the installed current occupant of the White House delivered remarks and held a brief press conference to discuss the latest Russian entrance into Ukraine.  Simultaneously, the White House also released their latest sanctions on Russia [SEE HERE]

For well over a month Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, the White House and State Department have promoted the assembly of “harsh sanctions” as the deterrent that would keep Russia out of Ukraine.  However, when Biden was questioned by the media about the ineffectiveness of sanctions he declared, “no one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening.”  WATCH (prompted):

[Transcript Available Here]

Russia knows from watching Biden execute his domestic energy and regulatory policy, that Joe Biden has no intention to do anything that would support U.S. energy development.  As a consequence, Putin knows the U.S. will remain dependent on OPEC where Russia is a member.

Additionally, Europe writ large, and Germany specifically, are dependent on Russia’s oil and natural gas.  Underneath all of the saber rattling from the U.S. and NATO allies this truth remains Putin’s biggest weapon.  In essence, Putin is leveraging the western ‘global climate change’ and energy initiatives as a weapon to do whatever he wants to do, while knowing his adversaries have no options.

As the proverbial ‘west’ chases the Build Back Better climate change agenda, it becomes a structural weakness that Vladimir Putin knows he can exploit.

Putin Goes All-in Beyond Eastern Ukraine, Tactically Appearing to Advance for All Ukraine

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on February 24, 2022 | Sundance | 1,028 Comments

First, I did not anticipate Russia going beyond their allied region in Eastern Ukraine. I was wrong.  It appears Vladimir Putin is going for the whole enchilada as reports indicate his military operations are positioned to capture all of Ukraine, specifically the western Ukraine areas under control of the U.S. State Department.

Second, with all the prior Ukraine issues serving as a reference, it is important to remember that every media outlet in the U.S. machinery of information is untrustworthy.

U.S. intelligence manipulated information, some call misinformation and disinformation, is rampant as the U.S. has specific motives for everything that takes place in Ukraine.

In many ways Ukraine is a vassal state of U.S. leftist politics.

Ukraine has been a satellite operation for the U.S. State Department for approximately 15 to 20 years.  The U.S. has held control over Ukraine, and manipulated every political outcome inside Ukraine, for well over a decade.  This reality is the source of Vladimir Putin’s angst toward the west for the same amount of time, and it’s the same reason why the EU, specifically Germany, is tenuous in any collaborative response.

The EU, writ large (including NATO), are less interested in Ukraine, because they know Ukraine is the U.S. playground in Europe.  This truism explains why we see a conflict when it comes to responses and sanctions from the U.S. compared to the European NATO allies.

The outcome is along the line of NATO countries telling us, Ukraine is our playground, the issues are our creation, therefore when it comes to responsive action – you do you and we will look out for ourselves, but we in the EU have to live with the reality of the outcome, so our interests will likely diverge from yours depending on what Putin intends.

Vladimir Putin seeking to take the entire country of Ukraine back under his control – highlights, at least to me, that when Joe Biden took office, the scale of U.S. manipulation and influence went back to maximum levels.  This is in contrast to four years of President Trump not manipulating Ukraine or trying to use Ukraine as a vassal for U.S. foreign policy interests. Obviously, this puts the DC and Deep State (CIA and State Dept) attack on Trump, using Ukraine, into a specific context.

While there is no justification for President Putin to take all of Ukraine, an independent nation under Russian control, the Occam’s Razor geopolitical explanation would indicate Putin just reached a point where enough was enough.  Taking all of Ukraine away from U.S. control puts a stop to our using the Russian border state for our own interests.

Again, the scale and scope of Putin’s commitment here shows a particular radically strong motive to cut out what he sees as the U.S. cancer completely. This is the aspect I did not anticipate.  I expected Putin to throw a strong brush back pitch against the U.S. and retake control over eastern Ukraine, where he is appreciated.  I did not expect Putin to throw multiple fast balls directly at the head of team U.S.A.

Now, we get to the part where information warfare begins.  The same U.S. media who support the deepest part of the DC deep state, will be spinning the U.S. State Department position exclusively and with a massive amount of manipulation.  We cannot trust the CNN, WaPo, NYT version of events, because they are in alignment with the globalist intents of the Dept of State.

Inside the dynamic is another layer of ideology around climate change and energy.  The same U.S. interests who will clutch their pearls over the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, will not step up to increase energy development within the U.S. that could offset Russian influence in Europe.

It is difficult to blame Germany for not supporting the Biden demands of sanctions against Russia (SWIFT, Nordstream II, etc.), because energy dependent Germany can see the hypocrisy in the U.S. position toward energy development.

Stuck in the middle of this are the Ukraine people.   The manipulative U.S. State Dept has held control over Ukraine politics for so long, most of the Ukraine people suffer Stockholm syndrome toward us.  I doubt most of the western Ukrainian people can see how the U.S. involvement in their political affairs has put their country into this vulnerable position, in the same way most of the American people do not see the manipulation in the U.S. 2020 election.

In the big picture, China and Iran support Russia and are allies with Russia.  Collectively China, Iran and Russia will have increased direct involvement as their alliance will now confront the U.S- western alliance.   We can expect the cyber battleground (hacking etc) will be China and Russia working together, while the U.S. and western allies work together.

The bottom line is…. eventually physical power is what determines the outcome of war.

If Putin wants all of Ukraine, he will get all of Ukraine.

The Simple Solution to Ukraine

Armstrong Economics Blog/Russia Re-Posted Feb 23, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

COMMENT: You are wrong. Putin is the aggressor.

SK

REPLY: Look, the Minsk Agreement has dragged on for 8 years. You cannot simply blame Putin. Ukraine has refused to allow the people to vote on their own future. That is a denial of any democratic process and a denial of freedom. So now the propaganda that Putin is invading to deny freedom or democracy. It takes TWO to reach an agreement – not ONE!

The solution has been staring the world in the face. Let the people vote and decide their own fate. That would remove any excuse Putin would have to protect Russians if they voted to be Ukrainians. I was with a Ukrainian friend in Greece and they refused to even take a flight home that connected through Moscow. The resentment runs very deep and it is certainly justified thanks to Stalin.

Let me make this very clear. Zelensky is by no means doing this alone. The West desperately needs a diversion from COVID because politicians will never admit a mistake. But Zelensky is a fool. The West is willing to sacrifice even all of Ukraine if it then secures all the elections here in 2022 for those facing the public after COVID. The typical sales pitch will be you need them because now Putin is the threat, and you do not change horses in the middle of a river.

Let the people vote and abide by their vote. That would remove ANY excuse to invade Ukraine. If Putin then invades, then you can call him the aggressor. The solution is simple. It is staring out us straight in the eye. Territorial borders are a throwback to imperialism. These regions are ethnically Russian. But politicians need war. They will lie and twist facts to create the justification for war. Ukraine is not a one-sided affair. It takes two to tango as they say.

All-Out War Begins in Ukraine

Armstrong Economics Blog/Russia Re-Posted Feb 23, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

We are getting reports that Russia has begun to invade Ukraine. Sources are reporting that explosions can be heard around Kyiv.  Putin announced that Russia is undertaking a “special military operation” intended to demilitarize the country. In all honesty, it is hard to imagine that the West actually made an honest diplomatic effort when you reject every request of Putin. Even Zelinsky could have agreed to democratic elections where there are more than 720,000 people living in Donetsk and Luhansk. No concession had been made which is not how you engage in diplomatic relations.

The self-defense forces of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) said that have repelled a Ukrainian tank attack on the outskirts of Donetsk, with Kyiv forces losing at least five armored vehicles during the battle in the town of Yasinovataya. The shelling had intensified ever since Putin recognized the two separatist regions as independent and ordered the deployment of what he called peacekeepers. Both sides will naturally claim the other fired first.

This appears to be the West abandoning Ukraine all to use it for political purposes. This was the 3rd year for COVID and the regulations cannot be maintained. They simply needed another enemy and it appears that this wanted this to take place. It could have easily been avoided. The question is why has there been no yielding on anything? That is either sublime stupidity on the part of Western leaders, or this is intentional. Time will tell.
