Angela Merkel and her party remain clueless about the economic history of Germany which has been made apparent through her insistence upon austerity that tearing the EU apart at the seams. This is like blaming Trump for Hillary’s loss. Merkel’s belief that the quantity of money is the cause of inflation has been proven dead wrong after the central bank’s quantitative easing since 2008 has had no impact on inflation for the past 8 years. At what point does one admit error? Never?
German Vice Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel told Der Spiegel magazine that the breakup of the EU is no longer unthinkable because of Merkel’s desperate clinging to austerity. He asked Merkel ,”[W]hat would be more costly for Germany: for France to be allowed to have half a percentage point more deficit, or for Marine Le Pen to become president?” He is still waiting for Merkel to answer that question.
Her economic policies of austerity have sent Europe into an economic depression, and opening arms to refugees has sent Europe into a terrorist crisis. One has to ask, just how long can Europe endure this person who is dictating policy to the rest of Europe?

The Fourth-Generation War
Actually the answer is very simple as we have 1,400 years of history to analyze, the current conflicts are nothing more that the extension of those from the past but using modern tools. If you want to stop what is happening then you must fellow the principles of Sun Tzu “The Art of War.” Although it is true that there is a series of internal struggles with in Islam (and that is good and bad) for what we have are a pack of lions fighting over who gets to eat the prey that is surrounded by them and has no chance of not being eaten. If we get ride of the PC we find clear answers such as that for all particle purposes all the conflict is related to Islam so Islam is the enemy. If you can not understand that then you or your posterity will at some point be Muslims whether you want to be or not. Back in the day when the mob ruled New York there were all of Italian decent and the FBI when after them and eventually broke then up but if they could not have targeted Italians they would never have been able to defeat them. Today with PC the FBI would never be able to get rid of the mob as they used profiling with is no longer allowed. So my point is identify the enemy which is not hard to do but since it is impossible to say there is no way to defeat them we would just have to life with what we have now. Personally I think trump has an understanding of the true situation so there may be hope to safe the republic.

Nicola Sturgeon, the First Minister of Scotland and the leader of the Scottish National Party (SNP), has said she is determined for Scotland to respect the decision to remain in the EU in 2017. Unionist party leaders urged her to abandon threats of a second independence referendum. Sturgeon is clearly uninformed and will lead Scotland to total economic disaster. She stupidly believes that the EU is somehow fantastic.
The top export market for Scotland is not Europe, but the USA. Sturgeon, like many other career politicians, is clueless when it comes to economics. She is just incompetent in this respect and will lead Scotland to an economic abyss all because she want to separate from England. That single issue, she fails to understand, does not mean you stay in the EU.

Turkey has really turned into a dictatorship and the claimed “elected” head of state acts like anyone other than a democratically elected representative. He has acted more like Stalin, and has been gathering anyone who disagrees and demanding other government return people who have fled from him so he can execute them. The Turkish author Aslı Erdoğan was jailed in August and accused of links to terrorists as well as being a member of the terrorist organization the government labelled PKK. Last week began the trial against this journalist in Istanbul and outside are demonstrators gathered to protest.
She has been detained for over 130 days. She and several other writers and journalists are accused of links to terrorists after writing in the now closed down pro-Kurdish newspaper Özgür Gündem. The arrests in August led to large international protests in autumn. This is showing how if you disagree with government, that is itself a crime.
The Turkish currency is showing that it will continue to decline into 2019/2020. The more authoritarian the government becomes, the higher the dollar will rise against the currency. Moving into this type of sharp decline against the dollar reflects the collapse in worldwide confidence in the regime.

Janus – The Start of a New Year

The Roman god Janus was the god of the beginning and ending of conflict, and hence war and peace. In ancient Rome, the Temple of Janus stood in the Roman Forum with doors on both ends, and inside was a statue of Janus, who is always represented as the two-faced god. The doors of his temple were open in time of war and closed to mark peace. This represented that things could change politically during war.
Janus (Ianuarius) was depicted as having two faces, because he looks to the future and to the past simultaneously. British historian Howard Hayes Scullard (1903-1983) argued that the Roman farmers’ almanacs named January after the god Juno. I disagree with that because he refers to the Republic period prior to Caesar’s revisions. The month of June is named after Juno and January is named after Janus.
Janus presided over the beginnings, gates, transitions, time, and endings but was primarily seen as the god who began and ended conflicts, and thus war and peace. So when we celebrate New Year’s Eve, and we say goodbye to the past and hello to the future, which is a concept stemming from Janus.
This year is indeed a beginning. Should the doors be open for civil unrest?
