When is a Recession not a Recession? When The Financial Media Need to Protect Joe Biden

The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) is scheduled to deliver their calculation for the second quarter (Apr, May, June) Gross Domestic Product (GDP) on July 28, next week.   The calculation is essentially the total value of all goods and services generated within the U.S. economy, minus the value of exports received.

CTH has predicted the people within the BEA research group [SEE HERE], ie those who make the determinations of GDP, will circle the statistical wagons and generate something akin to a positive 0.5% GDP figure for Q2.

The reason is simple… As with all other highly political institutions in U.S. government, the BEA is driven by political ideology.

With the Biden administration’s Green New Deal energy policy driving the U.S. economy into the ground; and with the BEA statisticians worshipping at the same governmental altar as all other climate change ideologues; they will do everything in their power to defend what the people behind Joe Biden are doing.

[For the greater good and all things that are associated with that line of elitist thinking.]

The BEA data team will first play with the statistics by underestimating the rate of inflation in their value calculations.  If that effort doesn’t yield the desired result, the BEA will likely move to avoid calculating import data from the West coast (Port of LA, Port of Long Beach, and/or Port of Oakland) for the month of June.  The current labor union and trucker issues within the ports will help create the noise to justify any interim data that is false.  [Whoops, we’ll catch it in the updates, etc]

That’s just how this BEA crew rolls.  If they can save the planet by fudging the statistics, well, they will have done their part.  This approach, the expression of ‘their truth‘, is just an outcome of this great new era of pretending in our modern ideological banana republic. Hey, Wall Street is built upon a foundation of lies, insider trades on proprietary information and manipulation of values, so why shouldn’t everything else – including govt economic data?  Fair’s fair, right?

Despite my dripping sarcastic snark, I’m not joking.   This is the reality.  I know them.  I taught some of the people who taught them.

That said, there is a possibility, given the sheer scale of negative economic data, that our economy is contracting so deep and so fast the BEA statisticians will not be able to compensate (lie) to hide the economic reality.  The BEA may indeed be forced to admit the U.S. economy is shrinking again in the second quarter as it was in the first.

Technically that result would mean we are officially in an economic recession, two quarters of negative GDP growth.  However, keeping the ideology in the forefront, such a result will bring forth a new era of economic analysis to redefine what “recession” means.   That is exactly what BEA Research Associate Jeffrey Frankel is doing.

Jeffrey Frankel is Harpel Professor of Capital Formation and Growth at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He is a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research, where he is also a member of the Business Cycle Dating Committee, which officially declares recessions. (LINK)

Mr. Frankel is busy redefining and rewriting years of economic acceptance to say that two quarters of negative economic growth no longer defines a recession. [Example Here] I’m not going to post his nonsense but go read it, because the media is about to start promoting it.  That’s how his tribe rolls.

As noted in the financial shape shifting of Mr. Frankel, on a technical basis water is not wet – it is simply lacking dryness.  Technically, “wet” is a condition that is created by water on other objects; therefore, water by itself is not wet.  Water makes other things wet.  If you understand the parseltongue, you will understand what the BEA is likely to deliver on July 28th.

In the meantime, unavoidable supply-side inflation continues to skyrocket as the prices of everything attached to the energy sector continues to rise.  Everything is connected to the energy sector.  As a result, we are now in the very first stages of the Building Back Better program.  We have only just crossed the threshold into an economic era that will last for at least (my estimation) two decades.

The western democracies, now run by unilateral fiat and dictators empowered by their COVID-19 inflation, that received no push-back, are detaching the western economic system from oil, coal and natural gas.   This will drop the standard of living in all of the nations attached to the policy (in yellow) and will create a massive surge in the wealth of the nations who do not go along with the ideological quest (in gray).

Here is where the fun, not really, starts.

The subset of “spread the wealth” ideologues are in alignment with the outcomes of the “climate change” ideologues.   The climate change elites are going to give the anti-colonialists what they have always dreamed of.  A world where the economics are reversed, and third world countries have the opportunity to catch up and even surpass the wealth of the western colonialists.

From the perspective of the insanely politically correct and culturally Marxist crews in/around the think tanks of Berkely, Chicago and New York, the Build Back Better alliance will accomplish for them, everything their guilt-ridden Fabian socialist minds desire.  The white people (in yellow) will finally be deindustrialized so the brown people (in grey) can rise, and an equitable balance will be restored upon the planet.

If you think that sounds weird, you were not paying attention to this guy’s crew:

Joe Biden is an avatar; a political pawn; a cognitively declining guy who has no idea what is happening around him.

The people behind the Biden administration, those in real control of what this is about, have not hidden their goals and aspirations.

These are not stupid people.

They are scheming, conniving, ideological, ever-planning, ever-manipulating & Machiavellian types within the political system, lusting for power, influence and affluence.

Neil Oliver uses his weekly monologue to challenge the originating precept of the Great Reset, Build Back Better or New World Order, agenda. Get beyond the talking points and every policy from within the World Economic Forum instructions boils down to the quackery behind anti-humanism.

“The so-called Green Agenda is predicated on the rape of the earth for rare minerals, lithium and cobalt and more,” he points out. “Also, metals like copper, silver and gold. The extraction of those commodities means wholesale destruction of environments,” he adds. “Before a single turbine is raised or solar panel set in place, the sites are cleared and sterilized of all life. The turbines held up by massive plunks of concrete and while in action they kill millions of birds. When they come to the end of their working lives there’s nothing to be done with the colossal blades but to bury them in vast landfill sites.”  As Oliver notes all of this is being done under the hypocrisy of calling it “green”. WATCH:

Canada Joins the Netherlands in Operation Eat Bugs, Justin Trudeau Demands 30% Reduction in Nitrogen Farm Emissions

You will switch to bugs, and you will like it.  After using government incentives and subsidies to build a new facility in London, Ontario, to manufacturer 9,000 metric tons of crickets for human consumption to replace cows, pigs and chickens, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau now triggers a series of nitrogen emission reduction regulations to target traditional farming.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is following the same roadmap as his political friend in the Netherlands, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, and the Canadian farmers are not happy about it.

CANADA – Saskatchewan and Alberta Ministers of Agriculture are expressing profound disappointment in the federal government’s fertilizer emissions reduction target.

“We’re really concerned with this arbitrary goal,” Saskatchewan Minister of Agriculture David Marit said. “The Trudeau government has apparently moved on from their attack on the oil and gas industry and set their sights on Saskatchewan farmers.”

“This has been the most expensive crop anyone has put in, following a very difficult year on the prairies,” Alberta Minister of Agriculture Nate Horner said. “The world is looking for Canada to increase production and be a solution to global food shortages. The Federal government needs to display that they understand this. They owe it to our producers.”

Fertilizer emissions reduction was not even a topic on the agenda of the annual meeting of Federal-Provincial-Territorial ministers of agriculture, who just finished 3 days of meetings in Saskatchewan. Provinces pushed the federal government to discuss this important topic, but were disappointed to learn that the target is already set. The commitment to future consultations are only to determine how to meet the target that Prime Minister Trudeau and Minister Bibeau have already unilaterally imposed on this industry, not to consult on what is achievable or attainable. You will shut up, you will stop farming, and you will eat the bugs.

Another press release from the affected Fertilizer industry reads:

[…] “In initial conversations with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), the government has stated their intention to pursue an absolute emissions reduction of 30%, rather than an emissions intensity reduction of 30%. This short-sighted approach to reducing emissions will result in the need to reduce nitrogen fertilizer use and will have considerable impact on Canadian farmers’ incomes and reduce overall Canadian exports and GDP.” (SEE MORE)

On the positive side, there is no indication yet, that Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez-Obrador (AMLO) is in alignment with the Canadian proposals for farming.   Trudeau and his uber-leftists might be able to destroy the Canadian farmland; and there is a possibility Joe Biden might join Canada in trying to destroy U.S. farmland; however, it looks like Mexico is going to remain with the commonsense and pragmatic approach outside the western alliance idiocy.

WHO Leader Declares Monkeypox Global Health Emergency, Despite Majority of WHO Panel Experts Saying No to Emergency

World Health Organization Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, declared a global health emergency for monkeypox today despite a majority of the assembled panel of experts voting 9-6 not to declare a global health emergency.

July 23 (Reuters) – The rapidly spreading monkeypox outbreak represents a global health emergency, the World Health Organization’s highest level of alert, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Saturday.

The WHO label – a “public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC)” – is designed to trigger a coordinated international response and could unlock funding to collaborate on sharing vaccines and treatments.

Members of an expert committee that met on Thursday to discuss the potential recommendation were split on the decision, with nine members against and six in favour of the declaration, prompting Tedros himself to break the deadlock, he told reporters.

“Although I am declaring a public health emergency of international concern, for the moment this is an outbreak that is concentrated among men who have sex with men, especially those with multiple sexual partners,” Tedros told a media briefing in Geneva. (read more)

Mysterious Missiles Strike Grain Facility at Ukraine Port One Day After Russia and Ukraine Sign Grain Export Deal

Let me say from the outset, with a degree of specific assurance we generally reserve for other matters, Russia had nothing to do with the targeting of a grain facility in the port city of Odesa.  Geopolitically and strategically, such an action would be against their interests.  These events have the smell of the U.S. State Dept and CIA all over them.

Start by first reviewing the agreement between Russia and Ukraine that was announced yesterday. July 22 (Reuters) – Russia and Ukraine signed a landmark deal on Friday to reopen Ukrainian Black Sea ports for grain exports, raising hopes that an international food crisis … can be eased.”   NATO country Turkey, specifically Recep Erdogan, brokered the deal between Russia and Ukraine.  Ignore the narrative engineering and WATCH:

Russia was particularly a geopolitical beneficiary from the agreement itself.  No longer could NATO and the western alliance blame Russia for the void in gobal food markets associated with the conflict in Ukraine.

From the perspective of Russian President Putin, the grain movement through the port city of Odesa was a net benefit.  “Russia has taken on the obligations that are clearly spelled out in this document. We will not take advantage of the fact that the ports will be cleared and opened. We have made this commitment,” said Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

However, from the perspective of the Western alliance, the agreement mooted one of their biggest justifications for the upcoming global food shortage.   If Ukraine and Russia are exporting food, and yet food costs are still rising…. well, the food shortage impact from western energy disruption, the Build Back Better agenda, starts to become increasingly visible.

Suddenly, within hours of the trade agreement, the grain transportation system and the port city of Odesa come under fire from mysterious cruise missiles.

Europe – Missiles struck a key Ukrainian port Saturday, just one day after Kyiv and Moscow signed a breakthrough deal to unblock shipments of grain. Pointing the finger at Russia, Ukraine’s air force chief said the port — a key site for exporting Ukrainian grain — had been deliberately targeted.

“The port of Odesa, where grain is processed for shipment, was shelled. We shot down two missiles, and two more missiles hit the port territory, where, obviously, there is grain,” Ukrainian air force spokesman Yuri Ignat told reporters.

Russia has denied any involvement in the strikes, says Turkey’s defence minister.

The strike has been “unequivocally condemned” by the UN, alongside EU officials, such as European Commission vice president Josep Borrell, who said it “demonstrates Russia’s total disregard for international law.” (read more)

The origin of the mysterious missile attack becomes clear when you overlay the question of ‘who has motive’?

It wasn’t Russia.

We can be almost certain it was the U.S. State Department, and covert CIA operators, who used their operational control within Ukraine to target the exports.

Stopping the export of Ukrainian grain is in the interests of the western alliance.  After all, it was the United States who previously claimed, “Vladimir Putin is weaponizing food.”…

Apparently, Russian President Vladimir Putin has the ability to drive up U.S. inflation, explode U.S. energy costs, increase gasoline prices, influence global agriculture, weaken U.S. oil refining capability, disrupt availability of diesel fuel, impede the transportation of U.S. goods, force municipal energy companies to raise prices, cancel airline flights, stop the manufacturing of infant formula and now block the production -and increase the cost- of food in North America.

That’s their collective story, and they’re sticking to it.

That Escalated Quickly, New York Times Ponders if we are Ready Yet to Start Eating People

Pushing the Envelope for Civil Unrest

It appears the January 6th committee has prevented Stephen K. Bannon from showing his evidence and the right to defend himself including his protection of the executive privilege from the President.

It is suggested he will be found guilty as soon as today and his case then rests on the slim ‘chance’ of the Supreme Court taking the case.

Would you kindly unpack this entire debacle when this committee is not even a court of law in a courtroom, please?

It is shaping up for President Trump to be charged, right on time for the midterms.

Thank you In advance for any clarity you can provide on the latest abuse of power by the legal system and the Justice Department.

ANSWER: The Democrats and Liz Cheney are intent upon criminally charging Trump with insurrection. They need to prevent Trump from running in 2024. This is not about jail time.  This will make the headlines for the mid-term, and this is their Hail Mary play to paint all Republicans as evil and should be thrown out of office. Of course, they are instigating revolution, for our computer points to civil war in the US. I believe this is part of the reason our computer is targeting 2023 as a Political & Geopolitical Year from Hell. Of course, the Democrats who foam at the mouth and live for the day that they can completely eradicate all opposition are blind to history and the consequences of their own actions.

The Insurrection Clause was part of the 14th Amendment passed after the Civil War to prevent anyone from the South from holding office again. This is what they are relying on, and it is really absurd. Trump felt the election was rigged, but that did not lead to a civil war – YET! There are two outcomes here, and both lead to civil war. The ONLY way Trump could be indicted for this would be under the questionable theory of a “conspiracy to commit an insurrection,” which the Constitution does not support as a bar. So they are looking for headlines — not reality. The Justice Department will do whatever the Democrats demand. It is no longer a viable institution. When the rule of law collapses, the ONLY resolution is civil war. The history of Rome shows that endlessly.

This is being done for the midterms — NOT for 2024. They know this would allow Trump ample time to appeal, and the Supreme Court would take that one.  Thus, the Democrats know this is an abuse of power, but they do not care. They have so divided the country there is just no return to normal — EVER!  I really wish this was not the case. But it is getting time to turn out the lights on this Republic experiment. Oh, how the fools we have in Washington refuse ever to consult history. Indeed, it is often said that when Franklin was asked what kind of government they created, he wittingly said:  “A republic, if you can keep it.”

Whether that is true or not is really irrelevant. Republics never last because they are the easiest to corrupt, for the “representatives” can be bought like NASCAR drivers, but they do not wear a patch to show who bought them. I have been in the halls of Capitol Hill, and when I was with the government under Maggie Thatcher, all you saw were lobbyists everywhere. I remember seeing US people in London supporting Tony Blair, trying to spread their Marxist agenda just as Russia once claimed they would bury us with their Marxist agenda.

The Justice Department would indict Trump, but nobody would actually violate the law by threatening the Supreme Court over abortion, which is not a Constitutional Right under due process and more than euthanasia, or demanding you have a human right to some medical treatment and the government must pay for it. The Supreme Court has held that the Constitution is NEGATIVE, not POSITIVE, and its decision in Harris v McRae illustrated how wrong Roe v Wade was decided. That was a very clever mental manipulation when Justice Ginsberg said Roe was really about reducing population, so you tell the women it is a right to abort, and they protest for that fictional right when they have been manipulated by the Gates Foundation & Rockefeller Foundation that have always supported killing off minorities. They have already brainwashed so many women who think this is a right when in fact they are mindless drones doing the bid of Gates and the Rockefellers.

This is all part of the process of destroying the United States. We cannot live as one nation divided with such hatred. We are becoming Ukraine with a mindless civil war based entirely upon sheer seething hatred of Russian-speaking Ukrainians. There is no going back for Ukraine, and there will be no return to normal for the United States. We will most likely divide along the same lines as North v South. The hatred of state’s rights v federalism will return.
