Soft-On-Crime Laws Overturned in US

Retailers are fleeing California as a direct result of blue policies that have nearly permitted shoplifting. The iconic Saks Fifth Avenue store in Union Square in San Francisco announced it is shifting to an appointment-only model, which is also in place at its Napa and Palo Alto locations. Others in San Francisco, like Bloomingdale, Michael Kors, and even Walgreens, have announced plans to leave San Francisco entirely due to crime.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger raised the felony threshold from $400 to $950 in 2010 under Assembly Bill 2372. Proposition 47, effective since 2014, classified stolen goods valued under $950 as shoplifting rather than burglary or petty theft. Shoplifting during business hours is prosecuted under Penal Code § 459.5, which is not considered a felony. Law enforcement is encouraged to ignore calls of shoplifting and rarely, if ever, investigates cases of shoplifting. Retailers may hire personal security, but security guards are not permitted to confront thieves due to legal concerns. As a result, criminals routinely walk into stores, take what they’d like valued under $950, and walk out.

In January 2025, California attempted to implement new laws to target shoplifting. Prosecutors under Prop 36, which Gavin Newsom opposed, can combine the value of stolen goods taken in multiple thefts to attempt to dismiss the $950 loophole. Law enforcement officers are now permitted to arrest individuals suspected of shoplifting without needing to witness the theft firsthand. Probation charges for shoplifting have been extended from one to two years, and California has ramped up its rehabilitative programs for offenders under 25.

The National Retail Federation reported an all-time high for retail losses due to crime in 2024, with certain retailers experiencing a 90% uptick in shoplifting. Figures for 2024 have yet to be released, but in 2022, California retailers lost an astounding $8.72 billion due to theft, amounting to $285.70 per capita. California’s Organized Retail Crime Task Force recovered $13.5 million in stolen goods last year, and the state prosecuted over 14,000 theft-related cases between 2023-2024.

It is absurd that the law permits theft. Proposition 47 initially passed with 59.6% approval because people believed it would reduce incarceration rates. The state spends billions on social programs for those in need, and there is no reason that we as a society should accept crime in any manner.

Separately, Donald Trump signed another executive order this week to strengthen local police departments in light of “soft-on-crime policies” that have caused crime to spike throughout the nation. As noted by the White House:

“When local leaders demonize law enforcement and impose legal and political handcuffs that make aggressively enforcing the law impossible, crime thrives and innocent citizens and small business owners suffer.  My Administration will therefore:  establish best practices at the State and local level for cities to unleash high-impact local police forces; protect and defend law enforcement officers wrongly accused and abused by State or local officials; and surge resources to officers in need.  My Administration will work to ensure that law enforcement officers across America focus on ending crime, not pursuing harmful, illegal race- and sex-based “equity” policies.”

AG Pam Bondi will create legal resources for law enforcement officers who “unjustly incur expenses and liabilities” for enforcing the law. This also entails private sector pro bono assistance for those facing legal challenges. This order will refund the police, increasing pay and benefits for officers at a time when many cities are facing shortages. Crimes against police officers will come with enhanced sentences as well. Under Biden, for example, we saw migrants brutalize police officers on camera, only to be released back into the public.

There is one concerning clause in the new EO:

Sec. 4.  Using National Security Assets for Law and Order.  (a)  Within 90 days of the date of this order, the Attorney General and the Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the Secretary of Homeland Security and the heads of agencies as appropriate, shall increase the provision of excess military and national security assets in local jurisdictions to assist State and local law enforcement.
(b)  Within 90 days of the date of this order, the Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Attorney General, shall determine how military and national security assets, training, non-lethal capabilities, and personnel can most effectively be utilized to prevent crime.

Now, this is precisely what the Democrats would like to see happen. The left organizes mass protests and displays of civil unrest, which is not a theory but a proven fact. Numerous NGOs fund these “activists,” who in turn incite violence. We saw this happen with the George Floyd “protests,” where cities burned to the ground and small businesses were decimated. This led to the defunding of police agencies across the nation,n and officers have been hesitant to respond to crimes as a result. The Democrats took a knee and turned their backs to the victims, crying racism, while ignoring the basic legal code. They are master manipulators when it comes to spinning the narrative. I feared that an event of this nature could have happened when Trump was sworn into office, an event so chaotic that it would force the president to send in the National Guard.

The civil unrest cycle n the US in projected to intensify between 2025 and 2027, peaking around 2027-2028. We may very well witness an event that requires military intervention.

Carney in Favor of Debanking Practices

Countless truckers gathered for the 2022 Freedom Convoy in Ottawa, forming a gridlock, with a clear agenda and request to repeal all COVID mandates. The protest was peaceful and no one was injured. They fought on behalf of the world at a time when the global population was imprisoned by mandates that were later revealed to be falsified without any scientific backing. Then Prime Minister Justin Trudeau evoked the 1988 Emergencies Act, which is intended for an “urgent and critical situation” that “seriously endangers the lives, health or safety of Canadians.” Deeming a peaceful protest an act of terrorism is an act of free speech oppression is something that fellow World Economic Forum member Mark Carney fully supported. As a reminder, Mark Carney was in complete support of freezing the bank accounts of protestors and ignoring the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Credit card companies were required to report any activity that could be intended to help the protestors to Canada’s anti-money laundering agency. All vehicles involved had their insurance suspended. Fundraising sites were not allowed to raise money to support the cause. Anyone can be accused of conspiring with the protestors, and their funds will be frozen. Ottawa law enforcement even began to confiscate the pets of those protesting. There is no low that these men will not stoop to in order to firm their authoritarian grip.

Carney called the protest an “insurrection” and claimed that the freedom convoy was intended to remove power from the Canadian government. ‘This is sedition. That’s a word I never thought I’d use in Canada. It means “incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority,’” Carney wrote in an opinion piece, praising Trudeau for declaring a state of emergency. “They are not patriots. This is not about “restoring freedom” but beginning anarchy. This isn’t getting carried away at a rally. It’s not a rush of blood to the head. It’s deliberate and calculated, and because of that, they must know that from now on, there will be consequences for their actions.”

He acknowledged that Canadian law enforcement officers were hesitant to arrest protestors, because they agreed with them. Carney went for the throat by demanding that the banks comply with the federal government to debank the protestors. In his own words:

“Drawing the line means choking off the money that financed this occupation. Again, many Canadians who were amongst the initial donors were likely well meaning. Perhaps they were unaware of the convoy’s stated objectives, or – like many in positions of authority in Ottawa – they didn’t take them seriously. Perhaps all they wanted was a new COVID-19 policy with fewer restrictions.

But by now anyone sending money to the convoy should be in no doubt: You are funding sedition. Foreign funders of an insurrection interfered in our domestic affairs from the start. Canadian authorities should take every step within the law to identify and thoroughly punish them. The involvement of foreign governments and any officials connected to them should be identified, exposed and addressed.”

The government froze bank accounts and credit cards without a court order or due process. These politicians have no idea how much freezing accounts undermined the confidence in the Canadian banking system. A staggering amount of money began to pour into US banks as money fled Canada. Canadians began withdrawing all of their money from their bank accounts, with most turning to cash, others to gold, and some to Bitcoin. The demand for US dollars more than tripled in the first week of this policy. Trudeau and Carney were unconcerned for their loyalty lies with globalist organizations and not Canada.

Increased banking regulations are discussed in the World Economic Forum’s Agenda 2030, primarily in regard to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which provide a framework for climate initiatives that corporations must follow. Carney is an outspoken climate advocate who has admitted that there is money to be made through the climate agenda. The ruling elite consistently let it slip that the climate change agenda is another fear tactic to grasp money and power. Still, the masses listen to the mainstream media and believe it is a virtuous cause.

This video is essential as it reveals what these politicians have in mind for Canada. In 2013, a reporter asked Justin Trudeau which country he most admired. “There is a level of admiration I actually have for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to turn their economy around on a dime,” Trudeau smiled and stated with seriousness. He went on to say how he admired (i.e., envied) how dictators could simply implement laws on a whim without the consent of the people, and added a nod to climate change policies, as the left does not see that as a problem yet. Carney has the same mentality when it comes to ruling Canada.

Canada had an opportunity to implement change. Instead, the masses voted for the next Trudeau, who is another indoctrinated WEF puppet who will step on the neck of the Canadian economy to achieve these globalist goals.

Carney’s Victory Speech was an acknowledgement that what we are witnessing is truly more than just a hate fest against Trump. Carney is saying the relationship between USA and Canada is over. This is not about tariffs. This is about power. Just as the media has been 92%+ anti-Trump, this is the FAR LEFT and their WOKE Agenda fighting to take over the world because their economics is failing. They refuse to reform and expect to keep borrowing for their endless promises of free gifts. This is by no means simply Carney and Canada. This is the agenda in Europe, and it is why there was a coup against Schwab at the World Economic Forum.

Schwab’s bold statements, which did not hide their Agenda 2030, were to have total control of everything, all because their economic system is collapsing. You cannot borrow forever without any intention of ever paying it off. A three-year-old with a pocket calculator could probably figure out this is not going to end well – i.e., 2032.

Monitoring everything you say on social media is becoming a reality. It used to be that only Santa Claus knew who was naughty or nice. Now it’s the NSA and the rest of the government. They have the right to search your social media to get a visa for a vacation or even for an American to return home.

Schwab took the position that if you have nothing to hide, then you should not be afraid. He obviously knows nothing about law and how a word can have different interpretations. I went to mail some Roman coins to a client, and the Post Office refused to accept them, saying it was illegal to send money through the mail. I tried to explain that these were ancient coins and were no longer in use as money. I was rejected and told it was still money. I had to go home and redo the paperwork and call the coins antiquities to mail them.

This very issue sparked the American Revolution. Schwab obviously does not know his history. There was a legal case that became the seminal beginning of the American Revolution known as Entick v. Carrington and Three Other King’s Messengers (1765), reported at length in 19 Howell’s State Trials 1029. This case was the start of the American Revolution and was also based on the abuse of the king’s agents. The action, dated November 1762, was for trespassing and interfering with the plaintiff’s dwelling by breaking open his desks and boxes and searching and examining his papers.

After George III became king in 1760, by February 1761, Parliament enacted the Writs of Assistance, that was challenged in court in Boston, Massachusetts. These were writs that empowered the king’s agents to search anything they suspected, like the NSA today, at their discretion. The defending lawyer James Otis (1725-1783) pronounced these writs as “the worst instrument of arbitrary power, the most destructive of English liberty, and the fundamental principles of law, that ever was found in an Englishlaw book.” Otis warned that the king placed discretion in the hands of every agent to act as he desired. Nothing has changed, for our current government can do whatever it desires today, and it is always the citizen’s burden to prove they have any rights whatsoever.

John Adams (1735–1826; 2nd President 1797–1801) was in the audience at that hearing that day, and the four-hour speech of James Otis so moved him that he declared:

“Then and there was the first scene of the first act of opposition to the arbitrary claims of Great Britain. Then and there, the child independence was born.”

Reliable sources confirm that Carney has aligned with the Globalists of the EU and will attempt to shift Canada. He is purposely making his first foreign trip to the capital cities of the two countries that shaped Canada’s early existence. He will seek to link the Canadaian economy to that of the EU and he has won an election all on the hatred of Donald Trump and this was an intentional ploy instigated by the Neocons and the EU who will collapse from a sovereign debt crisis so they are desperate to creat World War III to retain power and use that as the excuse for the 80 years of a failed socialist agenda which has produced debt that is never paid off and the interest is escalating crowding out all other spending.

Wisconsin Supreme Court Suspends Arrested Judge Who Assisted Criminal Illegal Alien

Following her arrest for assisting a criminal illegal alien attempting to avoid capture, the Wisconsin Supreme Court has suspended Judge Hannah Dugan from all judicial proceedings.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The Wisconsin Supreme Court suspended a judge accused of helping a man evade immigration authorities, saying Tuesday that it is in the public interest to relieve her of her duties as she faces two federal charges.

[…] In its two-page order, the state Supreme Court said it was acting on its own initiative and not responding to a request from anyone. Liberal justices control the court 4-3.

[…] She is set to appear in court for arraignment May 15.

BINGO – Longshoreman Union Announce Opposition to President Trump’s Tariff Program

Last week CTH noted, “interested political followers in the USA should pay close attention to how the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWA) respond to the corporate media narrative. …  Will the International Longshoremen’s Association stand with Trump, or will they drop support as the global trade reset emphasizes domestically manufactured jobs?  That will be an interesting aspect to watch because the dockworker union leadership will face massive pressure to comply with the anti-tariff narrative.”  (full article)

Yesterday, we got the answer: “The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) unequivocally condemns the recent tariffs that the Trump administration has imposed.”

All these moves are so transparently political, it almost makes you laugh.  However, that said, we are now in a better position to understand exactly how the Democrats and Deep State operatives will weaponize the supply chain along with their union orcs.

In the next phase of the anti-Trump tariff agenda, approximately 3 months from now it will begin, we will see/hear a constant drumbeat of empty shelves, missing parts and missing products.  Whether factually true, or whether the shortages are an outcome of a strategy by the ILWA to assist the shortage narrative, the overall objective will be to blame President Trump for everything from shortages of medicine to shortages of parts to fix, repair or maintain consumer products.

The process looming on the horizon is as predictable as Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg moving the stalled container cargo ships beyond the horizon so that no one was able to take pictures of the mess they created in the ports.  Factually, the last thing the global shipping conglomerates want is for nations to be self-sufficient.

Global supply chains are dependent on extreme ‘globalism’ and, well, ultimately, there are trillions at stake. Imagine the collapsed business models if nations were self-sufficient.  Heck, even a small drop in U.S. import purchases has the ripple effect of the shipping companies losing billions in revenue.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy would be well advised to assemble a proactive ‘supply chain’ group right now to game out an offset strategy to what we can predictably see coming.

Canadian “Conservative” Candidate, Pierre Poilievre Lost His Own District Seat in Election

After losing to far-left, WEF controlled Mark Carney, Pierre Poilievre swore to stand firm as the leader of the conservative party in Canada.  However, as dawn breaks it is revealed that Poilievre lost his own district in the election.

CANADA – Pierre Poilievre, the leader of the Conservative Party, was unseated as the parliamentary representative of his Ottawa district in a stunning upset that could put his leadership of the party in question.

Mr. Poilievre was first elected in 2004 as the member of Parliament representing Carleton, a largely rural district bordering parts of the Ottawa River. His long-held Conservative seat was flipped to the Liberal Party.

Bruce Fanjoy, the Liberal candidate who is a well-known community volunteer but was initially considered a long shot, won the race. (more)

Media Demonizes Trump in First 100 Days

Legacy media will continue to spur anti-Trump propaganda until his dying breath. Even then, they likely would not permit him to rest in peace. We recently saw the media broadcast Donald Trump wearing a navy blue suit at Pope Francis’ funeral, claiming he is disrespecting an entire Christian denomination with his wardrobe selection. The Media Research Center (MRC) recently conducted a poll to see how the media has painted the president during his first 100 days, and to the surprise of no one, coverage was 92.2% negative.

MRC looked at national news programs from CBS, NBC, and ABC from January 20 through April 9. An astounding 899 stories discussing the Trump Administration were negative, compared to 7.8% of positive coverage. “Just 100 days into President Donald Trump’s second term, the broadcast evening news landscape is even more lopsided than it was eight years ago, when Trump was besieged with relentlessly hostile coverage,” researcher Rich Noyes wrote. During his first term, the media’s negativity was at 89%. In contrast, Joe Biden received 59% positive coverage from these media networks during his first 100 days.

“Yet despite the overwhelming negativity of their coverage, the networks found Trump irresistible as a news subject, at least compared with Biden. From January 20 through April 9, 2017, the networks saturated their newscasts with 1,900 minutes of Trump news; during the same time period this year, we tallied a massive 1,716 minutes of coverage. But in 2021, evening news viewers saw only 726 minutes of Biden coverage during these same weeks, less than half of the airtime devoted to either of the new Trump administrations,” Noyes wrote.

Tariffs received the most airtime with 361 minutes. As I have stated, the press is attempting to erode confidence in the American economy. DOGE received 301 minutes or airtime, with immigration policies coming in at third with 233 minutes. The news covered tariffs negatively 93% of the time, covering immigration policies with an equal amount of animosity. DOGE government cutbacks were aired an astounding 97% with a negative spin. “Out of nearly four hours of evening news airtime devoted to immigration, these newscasts spent just 3.5 minutes letting viewers know just how much Trump has reduced border crossings,” Noyes commented.

The entire Trump Administration is seen as a threat by the left, who control the mainstream media, hence why they have also painted his cabinet in a bad light. All three major networks portrayed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth in a negative way 100% of the time. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., despite his efforts that should be seen as neutral, received 89% negative coverage. Unsurprisingly, Elon Musk’s airtime was 96% negative.

The media fails to realize that the people voted for Trump because he is the anti-establishment candidate. His supporters know that the media conglomerates hate him AND his supporters, which only made him an increasingly popular underdog. Trump wears it as a badge of honor, even displaying his mugshot outside the Oval Office. Journalism died long ago. These are the same people who helped to orchestrate the COVID narrative, who hid Biden’s mental health, and who insist that they should have the final say on what constitutes misinformation. The primary, if not only, purpose of legacy media is to disseminate propaganda and manipulate the masses.
