It should always be remembered that Representative John Ratcliffe is one of only a few members of congress who have seen every single document across the entire spectrum of classification.

We shared a discussion thread several months ago about how the media are enmeshed within the story of the DOJ and FBI corruption. The media engagements with the parties swirling around the FBI, DOJ and Clinton-Steele Dossier are so pervasive they cannot reasonably report on any aspect of the story without exposing their own duplicity.
As more and more information surfaces about corrupt DOJ and FBI activity, it’s worth remembering the media’s complicit role. Here’s an updated review for context:
Michael Isikoff highlighted that level of how enmeshed media is with the story in February when he admitted his reporting was being used by the DOJ and FBI to advance the political objectives of the intelligence community. Additionally, FBI investigator Peter Strzok and FBI attorney Lisa Page were shown in their text messages to be leaking stories from the Clinton Investigation, the Trump investigation and the Mueller investigation to journalists at Politico, The Wall Street Journal and Washington Post. –SEE HERE–
FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was busted by the Inspector General leaking stories to the media and then lying about it to INSD and IG investigators. FBI Director James Comey admitted to leaking stories to the New York Times, and even hired his friend Andrew Richman (off-the-books), gave him access to FBI and NSA databases, and then leaked information to Richman along with another friend Benjamin Wittes at Lawfare blog.
Lest we forget, the IG report on how the FBI handled the Clinton investigation revealed that dozens of FBI officials were actually taking bribes from the media for information:
IG REPORT – We identified numerous FBI employees, at all levels of the organization and with no official reason to be in contact with the media, who were nevertheless in frequent contact with reporters. Attached to this report as Attachments E and F are two link charts that reflect the volume of communications that we identified between FBI employees and media representatives in April/May and October 2016. We have profound concerns about the volume and extent of unauthorized media contacts by FBI personnel that we have uncovered during our review.

This is an IG fact-based criticism of the institution of the FBI, not simply a few rogue officials within it.

Later it was revealed that Andrew Weissman, Robert Mueller’s #1 special counsel prosecutor, was coordinating investigative efforts with the full support of four AP reporters who were giving Weissman tips. That’s information from journalists to use in his court filings and submitted search warrants. Make sure you grasp this: The AP journalists were feeding information to their ideological allies within the special counsel.
Nuts; simply, well, nuts.

Additionally, Christopher Steele has stated in U.K. court records the person in charge of the Clinton Campaign’s opposition research firm, Glenn Simpson from Fusion GPS, arranged and coordinated for Mr. Steele to talk to several journalists (CNN, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Yahoo News and Mother Jones) while Mr. Steele was also the primary source of information for the FBI investigators (including Strzok and Page):

As more evidence surfaces the relationship between journalists, Fusion-GPS, Chris Steele and the media’s DOJ/FBI sources begins blending together. The FBI was using media reports, which were based on Fusion-GPS pitches, to bolster its investigative documents to the FISA court. It is an intelligence laundry operation:
According to the U.K records, Christopher Steele reports this September 2016 meeting with Isikoff was arranged by Glenn Simpson. According to Michael Isikoff on his February podcast, he met Christopher Steele at a Washington, D.C. hotel in Sept. 2016. They were joined by his “old friend” Glenn Simpson, the founder of opposition research firm Fusion GPS, who Isikoff now defines as a “private investigator.”
So Christopher Steele was meeting with journalists, the journalists were writing articles; the FBI was leaking to media and simultaneously citing those same articles as underlying evidence to support their counterintelligence investigations; and all of this was used to validate the investigative documents the FBI was receiving from Christopher Steele; who, along with the leaking FBI officials, was also the source of the media articles.
FUBAR! This is exponentially bonkers.
This is a circle of information, all coming from Glenn Simpson at Fusion GPS, who was the opposition research firm being financed by Hillary Clinton, along with FBI officials who were using their own strategic leaks to validate their own investigation.
Think about the scale of the reporting, and reporting on reporting, of anonymous leaks, false leaks, lies from “people with knowledge of the matter”, “government officials involved in the matter”, “people familiar with the matter”, “government sources” etc. all going in one unified and semi-coordinated direction – against the aggregate Trump administration.
Now, it actually gets even more convoluted.
Christopher Steele has sworn under oath that he met with multiple journalists (at least eight organizations) in September, mid-October, and late-October 2016: “at Fusion’s instruction“. (pdf page #7)
Overlay upon that sworn admission with what Glenn Simpson (Fusion-GPS) told the House Intelligence Committee while also under oath about his involvement in sharing information derived from Christopher Steele:

FBI Director James Comey admits to leaking his ‘memos’ to the New York Times. FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was busted for leaking and lying about it. FBI #2 Counterintelligence Agent Peter Strzok and FBI Attorney Lisa Page are caught in their text messages leaking to Politico, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post.
…. AND the FBI is caught, in at least one FISA application, using Yahoo media reports provided by them AND their investigative source Christopher Steele to establish a basis for FISA “Title I” surveillance; the most intrusive and wide-open search and surveillance authority possible.
The Clinton Campaign is paying Fusion GPS to conduct opposition research against Donald Trump. In addition to Glenn Simpson pushing that opposition research into the media, Fusion GPS is also providing that opposition research –including information from contacts with media– directly to the FBI:
… In addition to using the Fusion-GPS opposition research to underpin their counterintelligence investigation, the FBI then turn around and leak the same opposition research information to the media to create secondary support for their counterintelligence investigation.
Tell me again how the media can possibly write about this now?
The problem is not just corruption with the U.S. Justice System, the DOJ and the FBI; the problem is corruption within the media.
We’re talking about thousands of hours of media TV pundits, thousands more columns written, and almost every scintilla of it based on originating intelligence sources -from the larger intelligence system- that are now being exposed as duplicitous and conspiratorial in the scale of their malicious intent.
This larger story-line has traveled in one direction. The narrative has only traveled in one direction. Each thread converging on codependent trails for collective stories all going in one direction. One big engineered narrative endlessly pushed. Think about how far the collective media have traveled with this story over the past eighteen months?
Hell, twenty-something-year-old “journalists” were so committed to the resistance narrative they were even sleeping with their sources to get any little engineering angle possible.
Now, over a period of several months, it has become increasingly obvious the collective journey, using all that expended effort, was going in the wrong direction.
The media have fully invested themselves in eighteen months of narrative distribution in only one direction. Not a single MSM entity has questioned their travel as a result of false leaks or false sources in the totality of time they have covered the DOJ and FBI story.
Nothing within their collective need to will-an-outcome will change the media’s proximity to facts when the truthful story behind the DOJ and FBI corruption is finally exposed. The media are so far away from the place where this story ends, they have no inherent capability to even begin to travel in the opposite direction, toward the truth.
The only way they could align with the truth is to admit that virtually every scintilla of their reportage over the past 30 months was inherently false or manipulated by the “sources” distributing the material for their reporting.
There’s not a single media outlet capable of doing that.
Think about a New York Times, CNN, New Yorker, Wall Street Journal, Mother Jones, Yahoo News or Washington Post journalist now having to write an article deconstructing a foundation of two-years worth of lies they participated in creating.
Do we really think such a catastrophic level of corrupted journalism could reconstitute into genuine reporting of fact-based information?
EVER?
Impossible.
How bad is it? Well, consider that even left-wing journalist Matt Taibbi has an excellent lengthy walk-through showing just how badly the media abused their role within the fourth estate:

Chris Wallace was thrilled this morning to have his comrade, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, appear to discuss OrangeManBad and the Russians.
Chairman Nadler is one of the worst Machiavellian types in the swamp… he’s the brains behind the Pelosi scheme. As expected Nadler wants all of the speculation, innuendo and damaging information he can extract to from the Mueller probe.
Mueller’s Report is what was expected. The report does conclude that the Trump campaign did not conspire with Russia during the 2016 election, according to the letter from Barr to Congress. It notes that Mueller’s investigation found the campaign was given “multiple offers from Russian-affiliated individuals to assist the Trump campaign” but no one within the campaign or “anyone associated with it” conspired with Russia.
Essentially, Mueller’s report marked the end of an investigation that was launched in secret months before Trump was even elected by the Democrats. The FBI began gathering clues that made them suspicious of aides to Trump’s campaign under the direction of the Obama Administration which even calls into question Comey’s entire integrity given his white-wash of Hillary’s emails and selling influence via the now-defunct Clinton Foundation.
The FBI probe fueled by Hillary’s dossier she paid to go after Trump mushroomed to include allegations that began with Hillary whether the campaign coordinated with Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 election. She furthered the idea that Trump himself attempted to obstruct her victory. There was bad blood between Hillary and Putin, to begin with. Putin accused Hillary of inciting a political protest in Russia back in 2011.
Interestingly enough, how do we know the server was hacked since the Democrats refused to turn it over to the FBI? Where is it now? The Democrats seem to have refused to cooperate with the FBI on Russia’s Supposed hacking, and intentionally destroyed the physical evidence of Russian Hacking if it ever existed. Where are the servers, and shouldn’t some Democrats be charged with Obstruction of Justice and aiding espionage for not cooperating in the investigation and destroying evidence? The Democrats (DNC) claimed to have been hacked by Russians ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
However, the timeline rarely is ever looked at in detail and the fact that there was no professional hacking of anyone’s computers. The entire access was simply gained by a fake email saying reset your password known as a phishing email. John Podesta simply did what the fake email said. We all get these and they are not something unique to high-level Russian intelligence, CIA, NSA or any government agency. Teenage kids in their basement try this sort of thing.
The New York Times reported in detail, the FBI discovered that a hacking group linked to the Russian government had gained access to at least one computer at the DNC. However, when the FBI contacted the DNC in September 2015 to let them know, the organization’s tech-support contractor didn’t do much with the information beyond performing “a cursory search of the DNC computer system logs to look for hints of such a cyberintrusion.”
If we assume that there was a professional hack underway, the DNC was notified and did nothing. Indeed, it actually took nine months before DNC officials even held a formal meeting with the FBI about the alleged hack. By that time, it was too little, too late if there was a professional hack, to begin with. The hackers, whoever they were, ultimately had access to the DNC’s network for seven months before top DNC officials ever knew about the attack or hired anyone to combat it. During that time, the hackers stole countless emails and documents, later releasing them to the public.
TIMELINE:
What’s less clear is that there was no sophisticated hacking of the DNC servers. This was simply a low-level phishing email that we all get. This is NOT the hallmark of Russian Intelligence, CIA, NSA or any other major government with all their sophistication. It is truly amazing how people have called this “hacking” which means in the computer world someone breaks into your system – not that you give them your password.
Computer hacking refers to the practice of modifying or altering computer software and hardware to accomplish a goal that is considered to be outside of the creator’s original objective. Those individuals who engage in computer hacking activities are typically referred to as “hackers.”

This simple phishing email has produced a cascade of other criminal investigations targeting people around Trump. The investigation led to the indictment of 34 people and three companies on scores of charges that were never related to the subject matter, to begin with. Dozens of Russian nationals were charged with hacking Democratic computers and spreading disinformation during the campaign. Several Trump aides were convicted of lying to Congress or investigators, or for campaign-finance violations or for tax and bank fraud. All of this for something that was NEVER an actual hack of anyone’s computers.
The interesting aspect of our war models has been that this cycle turned up in 2014 and we really do not reach the point of a major peak before 2022/2023. Back in 2015, we published a segment on the rising tensions that would emerge in the Middle East – the War Cycle. We warned about the division along the lines of religion in the Middle East which has pitted Saudi Arabia against Iran would become the major issue. As far as Israel was concerned, this would tend to turn up from January 10th, 2019, which is the conclusion of a 51.6-year wave from the 1967 6-Day war. Now the pieces are beginning to line up.
U.S. President Donald Trump’s statement that “it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights” received an enthusiastic welcome in Israel. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was boosted in his position in the upcoming April 9th elections. He said he welcomed this “Purim miracle.” His rival Benny Gantz, whose party’s leading lights helped push for American recognition of the Golan’s annexation, said in a statement that Trump was cementing his place in history as a true friend of Israel.
That Netanyahu and Gantz were both delighted no doubt. The annexation of the Golan and the settlements established there enjoy widespread support in Israel. Ever since the Yom Kippur War of 1973, Syria has refrained from any attempt to recover the Golan by force. After 51.6 years, even the Druze residents of the northern Golan had accepted Israeli rule without rebelling. Naturally, Syria slammed Trump’s statement that it was time to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights as “irresponsible” remarking that it confirms “the blind bias of the United States to the Zionist entity.”
Many political analysts are now arguing that Trump’s comments about the Golan Heights could set a dangerous precedent with regard to Russia’s stance on Crimea, even if Trump’s comments are not legally binding. This merely illustrates the bias of these analysts to gloss over great distinctions. Crimea was ALWAYS part of Russia and it was only handed to Ukraine for convenience under the USSR. The people living in Crimea, as in Eastern Ukraine, were ethnic Russians speaking Russian – not Ukrainian. In the case of the Golan Heights, this was effectively the spoils of war. Syria invaded Israel and they lost. So this is sort of like going to a casino betting on a number and when you lose, you expect to get back your original bet. France took territory from Germany as part of the reparations after World War II.
Alsace-Lorraine, German Elsass-Lothringen, is an area comprising the present French départements of Haut-Rhin, Bas-Rhin, and the Moselle. Alsace-Lorraine was the name given to the 5,067 square miles (13,123 square km) of territory that was ceded by France to Germany in 1871 after the Franco-German War. It had been taken by Napoleon previously. This region is ethnic German. Since 2016, the historical territory is now part of the French administrative region of Grand Est. This is no that different from Russia’s claim on Crimea. It was a separate peninsula strategically position between Russia and Ukraine.
As for the Golan Heights, this was effectively lost to Syria since they lost the war which was formally annexed on December 14th, 1981 at the peak of the Economic Confidence Model. This region has not had a historical border one can point to even as in Germany or Crimea. The northwestern region of the Golan down to the northern tip of the Sea of Galilee was part of the British Palestine Mandate in which the establishment of a Jewish national home had been originally promised.
Then in 1923, this region was ceded to the French Mandate in Syria in exchange for land to be ceded to Palestine, including the whole of the Sea of Galilee. Syrians argue this was all part of the Ottoman Empire and that the 1920 British-Franco agreement which had placed part of the Golan under the control of Britain was only temporary. They then claim that the 1923 agreement was never recognized legally by Syria. In turn, Israeli scholars argued that Syria had long lost any claims for the Golan Heights since it only had it under their sovereign control for 21 years beginning in 1946 while the Israeli part of the Golan Heights had been part of Israel for a much longer period of time.
In fact, during the 3rd millennium BC, the Amorites, who were an ancient Semitic-speaking people from southern Mesopotamia from the 21st century BC to the end of the 17th century BC. That culture was the founder of Babylon. The Amorites inhabited the Golan after the fall of Babylon and they were part of the territories that Labaya the Canaanite king of Shechem opted to annex in the 14th century BC as stated in the Amarna Letters sent to Ancient Egypt.
Later, following the Late Bronze Age collapse, this is when we find the Golan was part of the newly formed kingdom of Geshur until it was conquered at the end of the 2nd millennium by the Arameans. The Aramaean city-state Aram Damascus reached over most of Golan to the Sea of Galilee. According to the Bible, the Children of Israel then conquered the Golan from the Amorites during the 3rd century BC.
Today, the area of the Golan Heights held by Israel is around 500 sq. mi. (1,200 sq. km.). There are over 40,000 people living there, nearly 40% are Jewish and the rest Druze and a small Alawite minority. Most people have no clue that the Druze are a distinct religious sect. They are Arabic-speaking citizens of Israel who serve in the Israel Defense Forces. Members of the community have attained top positions in Israeli politics and public service. The region’s strategic importance derives from its location, overlooking the Israeli Galilee region, and from the fact that the Sea of Galilee provides a major source of water for Israel – about one-third of all its water. Religiously, the Druze are separate from the rest of Syria since they are not Shias nor Sunni.
The Great Flood of 1927, flooded the lower Mississippi River valley in April 1927. It was one of the worst natural disasters in American history. More than 23,000 square miles of land was submerged, hundreds of thousands of people were displaced, and around 250 people died. The flooding impacted areas in Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas.
Following that Great Flood of 1927, we then see the climate swing dramatically in the opposite direction into the extreme drought that led to the Dust Bowl of the 1930s. The Dust Bowl was a period of severe dust storms that greatly damaged agriculture in the Midwest prairies during the 1930s. The Dust Bowl was a severe drought that came in three primary waves, 1934, 1936, and 1939–1940. The entire event actually complied with our Economic Confidence Model when many regions of the high plains experienced drought conditions for eight years.
Unfortunately, the global warming people are already out in force and blaming this on moms driving the kids to soccer matches. They always pretend these are catastrophic events never before seen. Cars were not really in wide use until post-1940s. They could care less about history or truth. The cycle is very clear. This major flooding which may destroy at least 6 billion bushels of wheat is a prelude to what is coming.
Long before there was the Global Warming crowd, there were the record-setting heat waves and drought of the 1930s that contributed to the Great Depression and wiping out agriculture that was employing 40% of the civil workforce at the start of the century. There were runs of extreme temperatures which broke all records. There was a stretch of 11 days straight in July with temperatures over 100. The two worst years were 1930 and 1936.
Today, they would be demanding action and 11 days over 100 degrees Al Gore would be yelling this proves he is right. Of course, back then, there were no fleets of cars to blame no less soccer moms.
This is all part of the cycle. We have extreme floods now, then swings of heat during the summer to create droughts, then the climate turns down and progressively moves into a colder pattern.
