And they are Off – the ’22 Mid-Terms

Armstrong Economics Blog/Humor Re-Posted Jun 27, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Since we no longer know the definition of a woman, then why are the women coming out to protest against overruling Roe v Wade? This is obviously no longer a woman’s right. I guess under this slogan, does that mean Hillary will have to vote Republican? To think, Jeffrey Epstein was killed before he could have argued to prove they were a woman. This just gets crazier by the day.

Horror in San Antonio, Texas, At Least 42 People Found Dead Inside Abandoned Semi Trailer During Human Smuggling Operation

This is an almost unimaginable horror in San Antonio, Texas.  This is also the outcome of the Biden administration and Democrats open border policy that fuels the desperate efforts of illegal aliens and predatory human smugglers.

(KSAT News) – San Antonio – At least 42 people were found dead inside a tractor-trailer on the Southwest Side, and 16 others were taken to area hospitals in varying conditions, according to multiple SAPD sources.

Several San Antonio police vehicles, as well as fire trucks and ambulances, are covering a portion of Quintana Road on the Southwest Side. Crews are surrounding an 18-wheeler near the 9600 block of Quintana Road next to railroad tracks. (READ MORE)

The First Observed Juneteenth

Armstrong Economics Blog/USA Current Events Re-Posted Jun 20, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Today marks the first official observance of Juneteenth. The holiday was declared in 2021, but this is the first year that US stock and bond markets will cease trading. The new national holiday is intended to celebrate the Union Army General Gordon Granger’s proclamation on June 19, 1865, ending slavery in Texas. Even after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, slavery persisted in some southern states. The last time the US adopted a national holiday was in 1983, when President Reagan signed a bill to observe Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday. The markets will resume regular trading hours tomorrow.

I would Never Invest in Disney After LightYear

Armstrong economics Blog/Opinion Re-Posted Jun 19, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: Happy Father’s Day. My question is simple. As a father, would you take your children to see Disney’s Lightyear?

HH

ANSWER: Personally, no way. It is inappropriate for Disney to abandon the majority of people to try to indoctrinate children at such a young age. Disney’s Lightyear has been a major disaster. Besides being banned in many countries, their $70M-$85M projection for the opening of the film came in at $51M-$55M even behind Jurassic World Dominion which was $57.1M.

Disney has destroyed its image and its swing to promote political agendas to young children is disgusting. I grew up with a boy in the neighborhood who turned out to be gay. When we were under 10, we had no idea of such things and neither did he. He became gay after puberty.

I would not even take my children to Disney World now. I do not care what they are doing, but anything that is INTENDED to politically influence or alter their thinking at such a young age is no different than tyranny.  Personally, I would not even invest in Disney as long as CEO Bob Chapek remains in power. It is NOT his decision to try to indoctrinate children and at that young age, it is criminal in my mind.

We need to be neutral and respectful. This should not be about indoctrinating children for a political agenda.

SpaceX Fires Woke Worker Activists Who Attacked SpaceX Boss, Elon Musk

Posted originally on the conservative tree house onJune 17, 2022 | Sundance

A bunch of SpaceX workers previously penned the open letter criticizing CEO Elon Musk and the company while identify themselves as “employees across the spectra of gender, ethnicity, seniority, and technical roles.

SpaceX fired them, lol.

New York Post – […] SpaceX president and Musk ally Gwynne Shotwell said in a memo that the firm had “terminated a number of employees involved” in crafting the letter – noting the workers in question had “upset many” with an “unsolicited request” to add their signatures.

“The letter, solicitations and general process made employees feel uncomfortable, intimidated and bullied, and/or angry because the letter pressured them to sign onto something that did not reflect their views,” Shotwell said in the memo, which was obtained by The Verge.

Shotwell referred to the open letter campaign within the company as “unacceptable” and said the workers were fired after an investigation into their actions. The number of employees terminated wasn’t immediately clear.  “We have too much critical work to accomplish and no need for this kind of overreaching activism,” Shotwell added. (read more)

We need more of this.

Taxpayers Fund Drag Shows In Public Schools

Armstrong Economics Blog/Education Re-Posted Jun 17, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Certain schools in New York City do not have the funds for basic supplies. There are children who take the subway to school as the bus will not pick them up if they live too far. Some schools cannot afford basic supplies, and children must share. Teachers frequently pay for supplies out of their own pockets. However, the city has chosen to prioritize drag shows for children. Sadly, this is not a parody. A group previously known as the Drag Queen Story Hour NYC has already received $207,000 in taxpayer funds.

New York State paid $50,000 through its Council on the Arts, while the city’s Departments of Education, Cultural Affairs, Youth and Community Development and the Department of Transportation handed over an additional $157,000. Why is there a necessity for children to learn about cross-dressers? There is clearly an agenda at work when kindergarteners are forced to be subjected to this alternative lifestyle that they cannot possibly comprehend.

The worst part is that many parents were not informed that their children would be attending a drag show during school hours. Some schools did tell parents about the show but did not permit them to opt their children out of the program. This is a complete waste of taxpayers’ dollars and borders on child abuse. Yet another example of what happens when the government takes on the role of the parent.

Ruth Sent Us

Armstrong Economics Blog/Corruption Re-Posted Jun 16, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

The Roe v. Wade document was released to the public to stir up emotions prior to the midterm elections. An extremist group called “Ruth Sent Us,” named after the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, deliberately leaked the addresses of six conservative members of the Court. The group has not been condemned, and they are permitted to operate and invoke terror in Biden’s America. “Our 6-3 extremist Supreme Court routinely issues rulings that hurt women, racial minorities, LGBTQ+ and immigrant rights. We must rise up to force accountability using a diversity of tactics,” the group claims on their website.

Justices Amy Coney Barrett, John Roberts, Samuel Alito, Brett Kavanaugh, Clarence Thomas, and Neil Gorsuch have been targeted. The situation reached a peak when a man armed with a pistol was arrested near Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s house. He was carrying zip ties, a knife, and extra ammunition for his gun when he arrived at Kavanaugh’s home via taxi before being apprehended.

The House responded by passing a bill to protect the families of Supreme Court justices. However, 27 Democrats voted against the bill. Who leaked the bill? There does not appear to be an active investigation. “Somebody, likely somebody inside the court itself, leaked a confidential brief to the press, to stir up a pressure campaign,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell warned. “Whoever committed this lawless act knew exactly what it could bring about.” McConnell further warned that the leak is a threat to the trust that justices share with colleagues.

Justice Thomas is wary of Justice Roberts and stated that prior to 2005: “We actually trusted each other. We may have been a dysfunctional family, but we were a family, and we loved it.”

This is a direct threat to American democracy as the highest court is being threatened and top politicians are instigating violence. Kamala Harris claimed the Supreme Court is waging a war against women, Mayor Lori Lightfoot said the ruling is a “call to arms,” and the president has not condemned the group. So the question remains: who leaked the Roe v. Wade document?
