Dems Want Taxes on Tips and Overtime

Tax Robbery

The party of war voted in unison against ending taxes on tips and overtime work. Only one Republican voted against these measures, with 217 in favor. The Democrats are NOT the party of the working class and have been actively working to undermine the people for years.

Ending taxes on tips and overtime was one of Trump’s campaign promises, which is precisely why the Democrats struck down the bill. Laughably, the opponents stated they were concerned that losing $2 trillion in tax breaks over the next decade would hurt the national debt. The very people who have never seen a social program they did not want to fund are suddenly concerned about the national debt.

Franklin Taxes

Kamala Harris was in favor of these policies and had the backing of her party. Her feigned support was an effort to win over the people, no different from the failed promise of ending student loans. “It is my promise to everyone here, when I am president, we will continue to fight for working families, including to raise the minimum wage and eliminate taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers,” Harris told a crowd at the University of Nevada in August 2024.

The Democrats want everyone to be equally poor and dependent upon the government. Some lawmakers say eliminating tip taxes would be unfair to workers in states with a lower minimum wage. Under that line of thinking, should we penalize those who work in cities where, say, a meal is 5X the price as it would be elsewhere? Why should anyone out earn another in this fantasy socialist utopia? Minimum wage is a short-sighted political move that ignores the fundamental laws of supply and demand. Politicians always assume they can simply legislate prosperity, but history proves otherwise. Forcing businesses to pay higher wages does not magically create wealth—it destroys jobs, accelerates automation, and puts small businesses out of business.

Wages rise naturally in a real economic expansion when businesses compete for workers. That is how a free market functions. But when governments artificially raise wages, businesses respond logically—by cutting jobs, reducing hours, or passing the costs onto consumers through inflation. The very people politicians claim to be helping end up worse off, as their cost of living rises and entry-level jobs disappear.

Tipping culture is completely out of control in America. There is an expectation for consumers to pay a minimum of 20% in addition to inflated services, regardless of the quality of their service. Kiosks and self-checkout payment systems often ask for a tip. Consumers are less likely to go out when money is tight and the initial service has already risen due to inflation. Then, the government wants to take a portion of these tips AND the initial salary in most states. Whatever we must buy is then taxed; whatever we save is then taxed. Government greed knows no bounds. They’re too incompetent to manage funds, so they continue to squeeze our pockets, but it is never enough.

Taxing overtime pay is just another example of how clueless politicians are when it comes to economics. The entire purpose of overtime is to compensate workers for putting in extra hours beyond a normal workweek. Yet, instead of rewarding hard work, governments see it as another opportunity to grab more revenue. Why would the government disincentivize people from working? We are eager to keep our hospitals staffed, ports flowing, trucks moving, etc. but are discouraging a productive workforce by dipping into their earnings.

Do the Dems who voted against these policies hate the American people, Trump, or both? No one is buying their feigned concern for the national debt. If policymakers had any real understanding of economics, they would eliminate taxes on overtime and tips entirely. If you want a strong economy, you incentivize productivity, not penalize it.

Buttigieg Against DEI

Posted originally on Feb 24, 2025 by Martin Armstrong

Former Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg chastised the practice of DEI initiatives while speaking to the DNC Chair. That’s correct – the same forum that blamed Kamala’s loss on racism and misogyny. Buttigieg recently moved to Michiga,n where he is expected to run for state governor. The Democrats are turning on the very policies they aggressively pushed after realizing the people will no longer vote for woke insanity.

Pete Buttigieg said: “What do we mean when we talk about diversity? Is it caring for people’s different experiences and making sure no one is mistreated because of them, which I will always fight for? Or is it making people sit through a training that looks like something out of Portlandia, which I have also experienced, and it is how, it is how Trump Republicans are made if that comes to your workplace with the best of intentions, but doesn’t actually get at what actually matters here.”

Apparently, DEI initiatives create “Trump Republicans” as people want to be judged on their character and qualifications rather than their race or sex. Pete Buttigieg is the DEFINITION of a DEI hire. He had absolutely no qualifications to lead the nation’s transportation sector. Biden cheered that Pete would become the nation’s first openly gay person to be confirmed by the Senate to a Cabinet position. Biden said he was appointing Pete to be in his “Cabinet of barrier-breakers” and openly said he was there “BUILD BACK BETTER.”

What qualifications did he have other than diversity? Some say that he helped handle some transportation issues while acting as mayor of South Bend, Indiana. Certainly, that could not be the BEST American for the job.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recently lashed out at DEI quotas, partially blaming the program for the recent Delta plane crash. “You couldn’t fill the role rather than us just simply saying, we need the best and brightest individuals, and we’re going to hire you specifically on merit. We’re going to train you specifically on merit,” Senator Markwayne Mullin stated. As a result, class sizes shrank to 80% to 70% of capacity to maintain DEI required ratios. “So Pete Buttigieg carries no credibility. The only reason why he was there was probably because of DEI to begin with,” Mullin said.

Now, Buttigieg is pivoting his stance completely. Yet, as Transportation Secretary, he established the Advisory Committee on Transportation Equity (ACTE) to force employees to undergo civil rights and equity training; he repeatedly apologized for having too many White people in his office. During his 2020 campaign for president, he openly stated that he wanted minorities to vote for him. “I need help, so the black voters who know me best, the people of South Bend, helped return me to the office by an overwhelming margin,” Buttigieg begged.

Following more of his speech at the DNC Chair:

“If we were more serious about the actual values and not caught up in vocabularies and trying to cater to everybody only in terms of their particular slice of combinations of identities versus the shared project. Actually if we thought about it a little bit differently, things like diversity would be actually an example of how we reach out beyond our traditional coalition.”

Politicians will claim to support any agenda that garners votes. Pete Buttigieg moved up the political ranks as a direct result of DEI hiring practices and now he is criticizing his own party for becoming “caught up in vocabularies” and not focusing on “actual values.” Expect more “progressives” to switch their stance and pretend they never supported the woke madness.

The Endless Hunt for Taxes

Progressive Party

QUESTION: You may say you do not advise the Trump Administration, but Trump seems to be adopting everything you have laid out, including that income taxes are a barbaric relic from the past that are no longer necessary. He has even publicly rejected Zelensky. When will you tell the truth that you do advise Trump? You have been the only voice calling out Zelensky for what he is.

George

Gov Non Defense Spending GDP

ANSWER: Sorry, I have not advised Trump. Yes, I know many people are reading who are close to him. I  have no such official position. The Founding Fathers prohibited income taxes. The Progressive Movement went after income and openly discriminated against people who made more than they did. The Progressive Party was even on the ticket in 1912, the year before the income tax.

Trump_proposes_abolishment_of_federal_income_tax_bringing_US_back_to_richest_p

Trump has stated that between 1870 and 1913 this was the richest period in American History economically. The income tax is Marxist, and the Founding Fathers constitutionally prohibited it for a good reason. It makes everyone report if they even won $100 at the casino. Everything you do is accountable, and now the Democrats ushered in a requirement that every person having any interest in any company must discover that to the Treasury or be fined $10,000 and imprisoned. They want to know everything, and it will never stop there. Janet Yellen wanted to audit transactions down to $600, and if you have any cash app, they must report what you are doing to the IRS.

Federal Spending as GDP

It does not matter how much the government collects, it will always spend more. The Democrats cannot run for office without promising to bribe people with free gifts. I have been waiting for the free toaster or TV when you vote Democrat. This is why a gold standard cannot work. You cannot have gold as money unless you completely change the political system. This is what Trump is trying to do. The government is growing, and it will continue to consume more and more of people’s wages, which reduces the available spending capacity of the people, which then reduces economic growth.

Civil Work Force 1900 1980 New

When we add all government, including contracted to the government, it grew from 22% to 33%, including state and local. The government is consuming everything. This will only result in the economy’s collapse and a sovereign debt crisis.

Tax Robbery

Taxes are no longer necessary, for when money was actually a coin, the king had to get some back to spend again. Today, the government creates money, and if it did not borrow but just printed what it needed, the national debt would be a fraction of its size. This year alone, we will add $1 trillion in interest to keep rolling a debt nobody intends to pay off. There will NEVER be liberty as long as there is an income tax.

Fort Knox

COMMENT: Sir,

Saw your blog post about Fort Knox gold depository . Your comment about no visitors was spot on. I use to be the flight surgeon assigned to Fort Knox airfield in the early 90s. One of the flight units assigned was an executive transport wing. To get flight hours, I would tag along with them on their King Air fixed wing planes. When flying with them I noticed, just after take off that we banked quite hard. I chided the pilot thinking they were just trying to give me a hard time. Actually one of the runways was built and aligned exactly flying over the Gold depository. Whether the runway was built before or after the depository was , I don’t know. The pilot in command told me that even they were not allowed to fly over the gold depository. So when you said no visitors… it really means no visitors on ground or air.

Keep up the good work

DK

REPLY: This may become a fascinating conspiracy theory. If they will not allow Musk in and nobody can verify anything, this will only fuel speculation. They should at least take a video tour themselves and provide that to the public. Let’s see. Members of Congress have tried to visit and were denied. Can the President visit and take a video? Perhaps Trump can then swing by Area 51 before returning to the White House.

The Great Migration Fleeing California & New York

Google Headquarters

The two states that are attracting the most investment capital and migration from the notorious Blue States of California and New York are none other that the two states without income taxes – Texas for computers and Florida for finance.

Trump’s announcement of his intention to transform the US into “the world capital of artificial intelligence (AI)” and what is now being called Stargate is said to be the largest project of its kind “by far in history” with the joint venture between tech firms OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle. This is said to be investing $500 billion in AI infrastructure over the next four years of the Trump Administration. Big tech is migrating from California and its Silicon Valley is moving brick by brick to Texas. They say 10 data centers are already under construction in the state, 10 more are on the way, and the project’s first one-million-square-foot data center will be based in Abilene in western Texas.

The flight out of New York has been underway since, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic. That was the final nail in the coffin of NYC. Wall Street executives have been shifting operations and jobs to Florida, fleeing New York City. Well over 200 financial firms have left, and some of the biggest fund managers. The shift is now over $2 trillion, showing no sign of letting up. The peak for NYC actually came in 2016, which was right on target with the 224-year cycle of political change from the founding of the New York Stock Exchange, which traces its origins to the Buttonwood Agreement signed by 24 stockbrokers on May 17, 1792.

Moreover, tax exemption for municipal debt could be chopped with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017 slated to expire at year-end 2025. Tax loopholes will be high on Republicans’ legislative agenda. However, an extension or expansion of TCJA’s provisions could grow the federal budget deficit sharply. Tax-exempt municipal bonds date back to the earliest federal income tax in 1913 and have been a pillar of state and local project funding ever since. It is not that they have managed the debt efficiently. According to the National League of Cities, municipal bonds are a $4 trillion market and have financed approximately 75% of US infrastructure—with hospitals, schools, airports, water and sewer systems, public power facilities, and toll roads among the many beneficiaries.

1933 Detroit Boston Milwukee and Chicago Municipal Debt

Detroit went bankrupt in February 1933, before U.S. municipal bankruptcy laws were enacted, the city defaulted on its $350 million in outstanding debt (equal to $6.4 billion today). Many of its suburbs joined in the insolvency. On the American side of the border, Dearborn, Farmington, Pontiac and Royal Oak all defaulted; on the Canadian side, Windsor, Ont. went bankrupt. In fact, in Canada, East Windsor, Sandwich and Walkerville all were in default by 1934. A 1935 act of the Ontario provincial legislature consolidated these cities and their debts into contemporary Windsor, and the debt was slowly repaid. The tax free status in the US was also to overcome the defaults and suspension of debts during the Great Depression in addition to widespread defaults of nations in 1931 onward.

As this migration continues from the Blue States to the tax-free Red States, we will see a rash of defaults at the muni and state levels post 2026.
