The Birth of a Middle East War?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Middle East Re-Posted May 13, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

With the battle raging in Israel/Palestine, there is always going to be propaganda that points the finger at the other side. Over the past 15 years, Israel has fought wars multiple times, but as always, Israel is in danger of fighting a war where it “wins” tactically, but achieves nothing strategically.

Meanwhile, generations come and go and each remembers the loss to their family from the last war. There have been wars with Hezbollah and Hamas – in 2006, 2008-09, 2012, and 2014, and now again in 2021. Why is this one different? This is 72 years from the rebirth of Israel. However, this local cycle also aligned with 2020 on the major 172-year Revolutionary Cycle which has inspired the rise of the LEFT.

Why is this war different? The 2006 war was viewed as a victory by Israel. They believed that Hezbollah had been sufficiently deterred from another round of war. Then there was the Syrian Civil War which kept Hezbollah very busy. By Syria is no longer in play.  What gains Israel viewed in 2006 as imposing a real deterrence has faded into the night.

However, Hamas has been a different story. The last major war was in 2014, and while there have been many flare-ups, we are now 7 years from that major conflict, and the idea that Israel has imposed some sort of deterrence, the record of four wars in 12 years cannot be seen objectively as a successful deterrence.

Is Israel’s goal once more just a “deterrence”? In 2014, Israel appeared to try to get Hamas to stop shooting rockets so it bombed all the best targets. Then too, they bombed “command centers” and “intelligence centers.” However, the rockets kept firing. The danger here is that Israel will realize that their strategy of deterrence is not working and that means a real war with the ground troops and bombing where civilian casualties rise.

With Hamas firing rockets into Jerusalem, it is not the same as the Israelis firing into Gaza. This is not choosing sides. Jerusalem is the mother city to Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. This risk here is that destroying a holy site will only expand the war and put others on the side of the Jews.

Only a fool points fingers at the atrocities of the other side to justify the war and commit their own atrocities. We are all just the puppets of the elites. Even the Nazis at Nuremberg said they were only following orders. It was the experiments of Stanley Milgram who showed that people around the world would even torture others if told to (see Obedience to Authority). I have a staff of every race and religion. We all get along with no problems.

It is those in power that create wars. The Prince of Savoy who inspired the 2nd Amendment in the United States was a general for many kings. He came to the conclusion that kings were paying for standing armies and wanted to get their money worth. In part, this led to the theory that if there was only one government war would be abolished is in itself an acknowledgment that war is created by leaders – not the people.  However, centuries of war leave behind scars that will never heal like the feud between the French and the English, Catholics v Protestants in Ireland/England, and the hatred that remains festering in the Middle East over religion that dates back to the Crusades.

There are no peace talks that will ever remove the hatred for the people on both sides who have suffered at their hands of their elites. While the warmongers wage their hatred that prevents peace for the people who just want to live unmolested, the reality of this war is the accumulation of 72 years. The Biden Administration is far too preoccupied with climate change to grasp the real risks in this world and we are witnessing the consequences. We are plagued by hateful warmongers on all sides, and the delusion of world leaders that even know how to lead.

The concern that has been whispers over the last year is to install a military government and end democracy there as well. The only people who think they will benefit from war is always the elites. They are talking about imposing a military regime in Israel and imposing lockdowns and curfews.

Jerusalem Under Attack

The greatest risk here besides the report I am getting from readers in Jerusalem in bunkers right now is that these rockets destroy a holy site be it the Temple Mount or the Church of Bethlehem inside is Calvary and the tomb of Jesus.

There are religious sites in this city which is claimed by all faiths and in that sense, it makes Jerusalem one of the most critical locations on the planet.

Jerusalem – It’s Biden’s Fault!

Armstrong Economics Blog/Middle East Re-Posted May 12, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: Why all of a sudden with your date May 8, rockets are landing in Jerusalem?

DK

ANSWER: This was caused by the Biden Administration for they assumed that whatever Trump did must be reversed. They believed in their own propaganda. Before the first rocket was fired, if you go back to February, the Biden Administration lifted the designation of the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen as a global terrorist organization. Why? Probably just to reverse whatever Trump did. Instead of reducing violence in Yemen and against Saudi Arabia, but it has produced the exact opposite result.

You have to look at this in basic human interpretation. I have stated many times that once the Persians captured Valerian I in 260AD, that inspired the Germanic barbarian tribes in the north to invade. The Goths made it all the way to Milan in northern Italy. The subsequent emperor Aurelian (270-275AD) built for the first time massive defensive walls around the city of Rome.

Now, Biden lifting the designation of a “terrorist organization” meant all sanctions were lifted. This meant they could do whatever they wanted. Exactly the same response that Rome faced, other terrorist organizations in the Middle East, such as Hamas, took Biden’s actions as a new policy and they simply did precisely the same as the Gothic tribes did against Rome. Biden has sent exactly the wrong signal to all the terrorists that they can act with the blessing of Biden. Regardless of whether or not this was the intention, all that matters is how those actions are interpreted beyond that one group. This in April, Biden announced that America would restore some $235 million in aid to the Palestinians that had been withdrawn by former President Donald Trump. About two-thirds of the money is being given to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which Trump cut off in 2018 because of its ties to terrorism. Now if you are Hamas and Islamic Jihad looking at this, you can see that the US restored this aid unconditionally, which means they can do whatever they like. It did not materialize in free soup for children. The actions of the Biden Administration have been more concerned with simply reversing whatever Trump did. We can see the total disaster in Israel as well as along the border of the United States. The Democrats have escalated the rhetoric to symbolize Trump was evil for the country, but reversing whatever he did just for politics has a very dire consequence. What many are deeply afraid of is what happens if the Temple Mount ends up being blown up? Will the Jews rebuild the Temple? On May 14th, 1948 (1948.3671), the Jews in Palestine managed to establish their own state, Israel. June appears to be a critical target in the Israeli markets.

Matt Gaetz Discusses What Happened in The Room When the GOP Conference Voted to Remove Liz Cheney

This is actually an interesting interview segment for more reasons than just the headline of what happened in the room.  As Gaetz notes there were more issues with Liz Cheney than just her antagonism toward President Trump and the MAGA movement.  Cheney was ideologically trying to bring back the Bush era policies as the party platform.

The party platform was determined by the base vote priority. The base of the party chose the MAGA “America First” set of priorities for domestic economic issues, trade and foreign relations through economic security.  Cheney actively worked against that platform… which begs the question: why was she ever in leadership in the first place?

President Trump Says it is Unfair to Compare Joe Biden to Jimmy Carter, Biden is Much Worse

Considering: gas lines, massive increases in gas prices, rapidly rising U.S inflation, rising unemployment and generally worsening economic conditions (ie. “Malaise”); in combination with a new Israeli war in the middle-east; many people are now comparing Joe Biden to the failed administration of Jimmy Carter.

From the desk of President Donald J Trump:

“I see that everybody is comparing Joe Biden to Jimmy Carter. It would seem to me that is very unfair to Jimmy Carter. Jimmy mishandled crisis after crisis, but Biden has CREATED crisis after crisis. First there was the Biden Border Crisis (that he refuses to call a Crisis), then the Biden Economic Crisis, then the Biden Israel Crisis, and now the Biden Gas Crisis. Joe Biden has had the worst start of any president in United States history, and someday, they will compare future disasters to the Biden Administration—but no, Jimmy was better!”

Arizona GOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward Provides an Update on the Maricopa Ballot Audit

Arizona GOP Chairwoman, Kelli Ward, provides an update on the status of the Maricopa ballot audit that is ongoing.  As noted by Mrs. Ward, there is a Lawfare battle taking place in/around the politics and judicial branch.  There is also a narrative war ongoing with spin, lies and disinformation from the Democrats who oppose the county ballot audit.

What the mainstream media isn’t telling you… Legal action imminent. Audit side benefit: questions of election office irregularities, breach of Voter ID information AZGOP Chairwoman Kelli Ward reports“:

The Veterans Memorial Coliseum CCTV system remains active [SEE HERE]  as a public security and integrity issue.

Additionally, THIS is the official page of the Arizona Senate Liaison for the Maricopa County Election audit. “Under the direction of The Honorable Ken Bennett, former Arizona Secretary of State, an audit is underway to ensure transparency and integrity in the Maricopa County, AZ 2020 election audit.”

Secretary Alfred E Newman Outlines Federal Response to Gas Crisis – “We Understand The Concerns” About The Concerns That Need to Be Understood

Transportation Secretary Alfred E Newman took center stage today to outline the White House response to the gas crisis as people up and down the East coast are unable to find fuel.  We are so screwed with these professional political idiots, who have never held a real private sector job, in charge of U.S. policy.

Secretary Newman is skilled in the use of parseltongue: ‘We understand the concerns that need to be understood in order to evaluate the concerns that have been expressed.  Our understanding has led to a larger discussion about the concerns and we understand the need to coordinate with our partner agencies toward the common goal of understanding.  Now that we have the analysis to understand the greater concern, we are evaluating the fastest way to express the understanding of the analysis to a more broad network of partners.  As soon as that network understanding is in place, then we will have a better understanding for the American people about their concern‘.. or something.   Yes, these are the words of wisdom from the Secretary of Transportation.

Data Shows Massive Inflation Starting to Bite Middle-Class Hard, Unleaded Regular Gasoline Up 52 Percent, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Rising Fast

Posted originally on the conservative tree house May 12, 2021 | Sundance | 206 Comments

As expected the high-turn consumable goods are starting to rise in price rapidly.  The Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) has released the consumer price analysis from April (remember there’s a big lag) [Top Line Data Here – Detailed Sector Data Here]  The trend is rapid inflation continuing with no end in sight.  CORE inflation just jumped the most since 1982.

Overall prices are up 4.2 percent year-over-year, which is three times the rate of inflation under Joe Biden than under President Trump.  Inflation hurts the lower and middle economic class much harder; and the specific inflation sectors show massive increases on the goods and services that blue collar workers use most.

It is specifically the Biden economic policies that are to blame for the scale of these increased prices.  Inflation of this scale is an outcome of policy.

Biden is focused on helping multinationals and Wall Street; President Trump was focused on helping small businesses and Main Street.  We are now seeing the impact from these two differing economic priorities.

Regular unleaded gasoline is up a whooping 51.9 percent from last year [Table 7].  Higher gas prices directly hit the middle class the hardest and also increases the cost of transporting all goods.  Keep in mind this is a snapshot of prices approximately six weeks ago and gasoline prices have been rising even more rapidly recently.  Not good news.

The status of the economy, the employment picture and the stimulus money shows up in the cost of used vehicles rising over 22% last month and 21% compared to last year.  People are holding on to their vehicles and when able purchasing newer used vehicles, reflected in the lower inflation on new cars and trucks (2%).  Paycheck and wage security is becoming an issue again, especially with the cost of gasoline and food.

The inflation data in the food at home (grocery prices) doesn’t look too dramatic until you drill down into the faster turn fresh fruits and vegetables.  Citrus products up 7.8% (lemons, limes and oranges are very expensive) with fresh fruits overall increasing by 6.2%.  The less perishable food products, longer shelf life items, reflect slower inflation due to warehouse and shelf inventory (a natural lag).  However, the fresh fruits and vegetables carry the immediate price of higher energy and transportation costs.  Lettuce up 5.1% year over year. [TABLE 7 has the details]

The rapid increases in price for food and gasoline are hitting the middle-class hard.  This will have a downstream effect on more luxury items and durable goods.  Spend more on food/gas and you might not be able to purchase that new table you wanted.  Durable good inventories increase and layoffs in those sectors begin.

It will be very interesting to watch how the housing market responds over the next few months.  If the trendline continues we should see a considerable softening in home sales, again depending on region, as the inflation hits the working class – and the FED might respond by raising interest rates.

PRESIDENT TRUMP – “If there were long and horrible gas lines like this under President Trump, the Fake News would make it a national outrage! Did Joe Biden put Hunter in charge of our energy, with all of his Burisma experience? Even Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is lost!” (LINK)

Local Portland Media Finally Turn The Spotlight on Their Collapsed, Decaying Progressive Failure

The socialist bubble that people know as Portland, Oregon, has collapsed into a lawless and chaotic society devoid of order and social compact.  Anarchy runs the streets as Antifa and violent left-wing groups have been allowed to destroy the city without any consequence.

Portland politicians have enabled the collapse of the social order, and the Animal Farm lawlessness has forced businesses and citizens to escape in order to survive.  Now the local media are starting to ask the bigger questions, yet they continue to ignore the obvious answers.  The city is a violent crisis and complete mess because the city leadership allows the violent crisis and mess to exist. Yes, it really is that simple.

Antrim County Audit Attorney Finds Audit Trail Logs Intentionally Scrubbed to Eliminate Evidence of Fraudulent Electronic Manipulation of Election Outcome

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on May 12, 2021 | Sundance | 232 Comments

A very interesting article and interview appears today that warrants everyone’s attention.  In Michigan the lawsuit against Antrim County election officials continues.  The lead attorney Matthew DePerno continues putting the evidence into the public and court record.

What the evidence shows is an intentional manipulation of the ballot counting systems that shifted votes from Trump to Biden, then the system was scrubbed of log-in details so the people who did the shifts would not be identified.

JD Rucker – “DePerno claims they found MySQL database management software on the tabulation machines in Antrim County. This is significant for a couple of reasons. First, it’s not supposed to be there, which means someone intentionally put it there. Second, it can be used to manipulate the database and make changes to results.”

“It is not a certified program on that system,” he said. “And you can use that system to manipulate the votes. You can use that system to go right into the Election Management System database and do whatever you want.”  What DePerno revealed in less than three minutes of this 46-minute interview should be enough to prompt a full-blown investigation, let alone a comprehensive audit. The dots simply connect too perfectly to be coincidence.”
