AI Surveillance Defiant Clothing

Armstrong Economics Blog/Police State Re-Posted Mar 10, 2023 by Martin Armstrong

Fashion trends change to reflect new societal norms and self-expression. Today’s societal norm is constant government spying and mass data collection under the premise that we are all criminals who may defy our failing governments. One may first think of China and its vast array of CCTV cameras that are analyzed by Artificial Intelligence software to compile individual behavioral data that can be used to control the population. “Whoever owns enough data and computing ability can predict problems, predict the future, and judge the future,” Alibaba’s Jack Ma was quoted as saying. As the desire for privacy becomes a cultural norm across the West, fashion designers are finding a way to produce clothing that fulfills this need.

They say fashion in Milan always makes its way to the Americas. An Italian startup company called  Cap_able has developed a clothing line to prevent AI technology from accurately identifying individuals. The company would like to “educate the population on the importance of privacy and human rights by addressing the problem of misuse of facial recognition technology.” There are similar clothing brands that celebrities notoriously use to prevent the paparazzi from taking their photograph. However, this new genre of clothing is designed to confuse sophisticated AI software. This is not an attempt to shield criminals, as AI spying software is intended to target the entire population. The ethical question arises of whether the state has the right to track its citizens. “The protection of one’s privacy or the community: what comes first? However, isn’t the protection of the community born from the necessity to protect the rights of the individual?” the company questioned.

Researchers at Harvard and MIT published an article in Brookings entitled “Exporting the surveillance state via trade in AI.” Once the government or companies collect this data, they can freely export it. The study found that China is currently the world leader in facial recognition technology and has exported over 201 deals to use its programs. The US is second behind China with 128 deals to export facial recognition technology. The published study noted that AI recognition software could “undermine democracies, enhance autocrats’ aims of social control, and empower “surveillance capitalists.”’

The government can recognize your daily whereabouts and behavioral patterns to predict what you may do or where you may go. Social scores, as seen in China, seem far-fetched in the West, but look what happened during the power grab that was COVID when countless countries imposed QR codes to restrict the freedom of movement. Credit scores were not developed in the US until 1958 and were intended to predict whether a borrower could repay their loan. The idea of a credit score would seem far-fetched to people living just a few years prior, and now that same score can vary due to simply purchasing a car or looking up your score.

So AI defiant clothing may serve a purpose in the not-so-distant future if it actually works. It would come to the surprise of none if governments outlawed this clothing or simply updated their software to bypass the designs. There’s a chance that this could simply be a gimmick, as advanced AI can learn to detect and counteract patterns. You cannot hide from Big Brother.

FTC Demands to Know Which Journalists Had Access to Twitter Files

Posted originally on the CTH on March 7, 2023 | Sundance

In a Republican administration the leftist media would be going bananas asking why the Federal Trade Commission is requiring Twitter to notify them of which journalists have had access to internal communication files.  Alas, with a Democrat administration in office, the FTC demand is not an issue.

It would appear the mechanisms of government are aligned to fight back against any sunlight that might be provided upon the government manipulation of the social media platform.

In a profound display of institutional hubris, the U.S. government claims they are concerned about user privacy as the justification for their involvement.

In addition to the U.S. government demanding to know who may have reviewed the Twitter company communication with the U.S. government, the FTC is also looking for a deposition from Twitter CEO Elon Musk about the status of the company.

(Via Wall Street Journal) – WASHINGTON—The Federal Trade Commission has demanded Twitter Inc. turn over internal communications related to owner Elon Musk, as well as detailed information about layoffs—citing concerns that staff reductions could compromise the company’s ability to protect users, documents viewed by the Wall Street Journal show.

In 12 letters sent to Twitter and its lawyers since Mr. Musk’s Oct. 27 takeover, the FTC also asked the company to “identify all journalists” granted access to company records and to provide information about the launch of the revamped Twitter Blue subscription service, the documents show.

“We are concerned these staff reductions impact Twitter’s ability to protect consumers’ information,” an FTC official wrote to Twitter’s lawyers on Nov. 10 following an initial wave of layoffs, according to a copy of the letter viewed by the Journal.

[…] “Protecting consumers’ privacy is exactly what the FTC is supposed to do,” said FTC spokesman Douglas Farrar. He said the agency is “conducting a rigorous investigation into Twitter’s compliance with a consent order that came into effect long before Mr. Musk purchased the company.” (read more)

That last paragraph is particularly filled with irony and hubris, considering the same U.S. govt concerned about “consumer privacy” is the same U.S. govt who demanded Twitter reveal the identities of users in order to enhance targeting efforts.

Conspiracy or HUGE Coincidence?

Supreme Court Refused to Hear the Brunson Case As Expected

Armstrong Economics Blog/Rule of Law Re-Posted Feb 22, 2023 by Martin Armstrong

COMMENT: Marty, you understand markets and the legal system. You were right again. The Supreme Court rejected the Brunson case.

KQ

REPLY: As I wrote before, this was an interesting argument, but it will be even more

“earth-shattering if the Supreme Court actually takes the case and rules on the validity of taking an oath of office.”

How can you support, and defend, the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic if you refuse to even investigate the claim?

US Supreme Court

Here is the real monumental problem. Does the Supreme Court act constitutionally or has it denied citizens the right to be heard as declared by the Constitution itself? This is why they fight to stack the Supreme Court because the law is just not the law. The real issue is the Judiciary Act of 1925 and the court itself.

I specialized, not just in history, but also in the rise and fall of nations. Historically, a collapse in the rule of law is a key element in the fall of nations. I studied law intensely and some lawyers will often call me on constitutional questions. Why? When you go to law school, you spend very little time on the Constitution. The bulk of law concerns statutory law which is everything written and passed by Congress from civil rights to Obamacare. Very few cases end up challenging the constitutionality of a statute. Instead, they merely challenge the unconstitutional acts of government agents such as police and politicians.

The Supreme Court held that the Constitution is negative, meaning it is a restraint upon government, in Harris v. McRae, 448 U.S. 297 (1980). That means citizens cannot demand that government create any social program for there is no such Marxist component to the Constitution that people assume exists. There is no government obligation to pay for an abortion or a heart transplant.

I am going to make a statement here I have made to Constitutional lawyers that make their eyes pop out. The Supreme Court has no Constitutional right or permission to exercise “discretion” to hear a case. They must hear every case presented to them for that is dictated by the Constitution and cannot be circumvented by a statute written by Congress or by its own rule-making practice. No statute or rule can negate the constitution as defined by the Supremacy Clause (Article VI, Paragraph 2).

The Supreme Court receives approximately 7,000-8,000 petitions for a writ of certiorari each term (year). The court grants and hears oral arguments in about 80 cases per year in a country of over 300 million. That is outrageous and this practice denies the people the constitutional guarantee of a tripartite government (3 branches) with each branch acting as a check and balance against the others. Let’s review what the structure of government crafted by the Founding Fathers created.

Marshall John Chief Justice - 1

Chief Justice Marshall was held in the landmark case Marbury v Madison, 5 US 137 (1 Cranch) (1803) in which he declared the role of the Judiciary branch. “It is emphatically the province and duty of the judicial department to say what the law is.” When the nation began, the Supreme Court justices rode on “circuits.” Each justice heard cases in their assigned circuits around the country for there were no circuit courts with federal judges. Article III, Section I, of the Constitution expressly states:

“The judicial power of the United States, shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such inferior courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.”

The Constitution guaranteed the Supreme Court. It gave the option to Congress to create inferior federal courts around the country, but this was by no means mandatory. The implications of this are quite profound for it means that Congress can close all the federal inferior district and appellate courts, but it cannot close the Supreme Court. The tripartite structure of government requires the Supreme Court – not inferior courts. Justice Reynolds explained this succinctly:

“The accepted doctrine is that the lower federal courts were created by the acts of Congress and their powers and duties depend upon the acts which called them into existence, or subsequent ones which extend or limit.”

Gillis v California, 293 US 52, 66 (1934)

Your constitutional right to be heard is being DENIED. That right is being circumvented by demanding you go to a district court judge, then appeal to that circuit court, and then apply to be heard as one of the 7,000+ petitions when they only accept 80. What if a child could not speak to his or her father and would only communicate with them through some nanny? Is there a relationship bond between the father and the child? Of course not.

Inferior courts are under no obligation to apply even a uniform legal code. Each has its own rules and precedents that are unique to each circuit. The law as practiced in New York is different than as practiced in California, Texas, or Florida. It is not all the same! There is no guarantee of EQUAL PROTECTION OF THE LAW when these circuit courts are free to do as they like. The media never writes about this and does not find it strange that we have no unified rule of law in the United States. You have to get to the Supreme Court and they are supposed to take such cases to establish the law nationally when it differs among the circuits.

Chief Justice Marshall also held in 1821 a very important decision holding:

“If the constitution does not confer on the court, or on the federal judiciary, the power sought to be exercised, it is in vain that the act of Congress purports to confer it…”

Cohen v Virginia, 19 US 264 (6 Wheat) (1821) id/324

Congress reduced the power of the Supreme Court by eliminating the constitutional status of the court by enabling them to decide to hear cases at their “discretion,” but that is totally unconstitutional for no statute can amend the Constitution. Any statute or rule created by Congress cannot circumvent the Constitution – PERIOD!

The Constitution ONLY created the Supreme Court. Congress created the statutory inferior court which can be closed at any time because they were NOT created by the Constitution. Therefore, it is blatantly UNCONSTITUTIONAL for the Judiciary Act of 1925 to reduce the Supreme Court to one of discretion. That is a constructive amendment to the constitution which in itself is an act of outright rebellion.

Uniparty Peace or Violence? Ray DiLorenzo

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable  –  John F. Kennedy Is violent or peaceful revolution on the horizon?  The United States of America as the ‘Great Experiment’ in self-government is failing.  While people slept, elites have been allowed to take over, not in governing, but in ruling.  Elections are awash in fraud.  Government institutions are seemingly impotent in applying checks and balances…corruption is overflowing.  Our culture has been pushed to decline by a godless social ideology.   The elite have taken an active part.  They know the world is about to collapse or be changed, but they are prepared, lifeboats at the ready, while the common folk stare at the cold water nearing their feet. People are now talking about the Uniparty.  Who are they?  What are they?

The Uniparty is a resurrected buzzword for the joining of the Democrat and Republican establishment to obfuscate the will of the American people and push forward The Great Reset for their own interests.  The perfect marriage.  They’re a veritable fifth column working to destroy America as founded, sometimes competing with each other for lead turncoat.   It includes bureaucrats, members of the media, big business, and academia. The Republicans involved (RINOS) are closer to Democrats than members of their own party, but many are so far up in seniority they dare not leave the party. They have become an unrecognized third party, more recently, a party dedicated to stopping the outsider, Donald Trump.

Make no mistake, Mitch McConnell would rather be Minority Leader in the Senate than just a senator in a majority Senate.  Why else would he withdraw millions in support of 2022 Senate candidates?  He’s responsible for trillions in spending under Biden and the inflation we are all feeling.  He is a RINO in the first degree, a failure and a disgrace. Polled Democrats and Republicans say they are not well represented in government (PRRI).  Except for a brief respite during the Trump presidency, the GOP hasn’t truly represented their voters for many years.

The term Uniparty has been applied loosely from time to time from at least FDR, but Ralph Nader gave it proper context in 2000 meaning the Washington establishment.  People have used ‘Uniparty’ for various purposes, neo-liberalism, green causes and the like.  But, it is now used primarily by conservatives to attack the linking of mainstream Republicans and Democrats against America First or conservatism. The Uniparty is not on our side.  They are essentially socialist and globalist or just lowlifes looking for opportunity.  They are a government within a facade of a government.  They have an agenda, and you are not part of it. Even though George Washington abhorred the thought of political parties, the human trait of forming tribes was always too great.  And now the tribe mentality has crossed party lines.

Why does it seem like America is on a fast track to a destination no one voted for?  No matter how we vote, no matter what we say, no matter what we reject in the market place, the country seems headed over a cliff, and we have no control over it.  How is it that Trump was able to turn our country around a full 180 degrees in just a few short years?  We were being held back by past administrations. The Uniparty has put our country on autopilot and programmed that autopilot with no input from the people.

With only 15% of Americans saying our country is going in the right direction (AP), did we really vote for increased crime, inflation, higher taxes, open borders, more drug trafficking, censorship, the elimination of any morality?  Do Americans want 4,000 page bills smelling of pig, made into law in the middle of the night that no one has read?  Do Americans want legislation written in the shadows? Why can’t we win an election that reflects the voter’s sentiment?

Even Democrats are getting nervous (80%).  Why do Disney and Hollywood keep releasing movies that shock our moral conscience, even when they fail at the box office? Hollywood complains that their earnings have fallen, yet they continue to give us junk.  Why is it more profitable to stay home rather than work?  Why do politicians seem to ignore their constituents?  Why do the Biden, Clinton and Pelosi families get to break any law they want?  Why does Congress name bills that don’t reflect content.  Over a year and a half ago, Congress approved Biden’s $2.5 trillion infrastructure bill.  Where’s the infrastructure?  Now we find out that only 25% of the bill had anything to do with infrastructure. We did get a $20 million heated sidewalk.

Americans were lied to with regularity during the Bush and Obama administrations and now with Biden.  We were not allowed to get what we wanted during the Trump administration… nor were we allowed to get what we voted for in 2020 and in 2022.  Not allowed?  By whom?  The Globalist Uniparty.  Since Tucker Carlson reported that the CIA had a hand in the JFK assassination, one can imagine Uniparty implication.   Representative Constitutional Democracy is dead in America!  It is dead because the Uniparty has willed it so.  Their power is more important than your freedom and liberty. It is considered ultra-conservative today to preserve our nation as founded. There is, however, a cadre of Republicans like Andy Biggs (AZ), Bob Good (VA), Andy Harris (MD), Lauren Boebert (CO), Matt Gaetz (FL), Matt Rosendale (MT), Eli Crane (AZ), Chip Roy (TX), and Byron Donalds (FL) that are determined to fix Washington, and they will not be deterred.   They refuse to compromise with a political cartel that is destroying America, or Kevin McCarthy who has a Conservative Review score of 54% (F).  They are our last refuge in this government…true courage!  These Representatives are doing their job.  They are representing their constituents who put them there and standing for the principles for which this country was founded.  What a concept.

Maybe McCarthy will lower his head a bit in remorse for his past political transgressions.  We are no longer the same country. It’s in the hands of the globalist establishment and they are not about to let go.  Oh, they may have allowed us to win a thin margin in the House because the number of votes couldn’t be overcome, or they just want us to think everything is normal, but who is the Speaker of the House?… an establishment shill?   Trump was sold as the anti-establishment president, yet many of his appointments were head scratchers.  It was a swinging door.  It was no surprise that he couldn’t get the wall built or the swamp drained.  Paul Ryan was Uniparty. Trump constantly criticized Bush’s WMD/Iraq war and then he appointed Bolton as National Security Advisor.  Go figure. I am not an anti-Trumper, but during the Trump administration, it became apparent that it was going to take more than a president to fix this country.  Trump was checked at every turn until his checkmate in 2020. In times of emergency, some react quickly, some slowly, needing time to process, in many cases to their detriment.  Now that agents from Hell are working to undermine our nation, removing the foundation holding it up, people are still trying to process what is happening in spite of all the evidence.

Time is running out. My great fear is that the Uniparty is going to continue destroying our country for their purposes without opposition. Elections now seem futile.  The judicial system has been neutered.  Congress and the judiciary does not act even when they have legal precedent. Partisanship has taken the place of patriotism. Too many of our patriot politicians are mealymouthed, instead of expressing outrage. Profiles in courage seems relegated to a remote past. The new Congress must take the lead in fixing our country.  If the people take the lead, it is not going to be pretty. If enough people feel they no longer have a say in our government, my fear is that they will push back, and push back hard.  Americans will put up with just so much.

Admiral Yamamoto recognized this after Pearl Harbor and said with regret, “I fear all we have done is awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”    Will the Uniparty relent, give power back to the people and bring us peace and stability or hold on to their power with a jealous obsession and inevitably bring about violence?  What does history say?

Treason from The Deep State?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Dec 28, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

I have received a lot of emails asking why just five days after the New York Post revealed the Hunter Biden laptop story that went all the way to the top involving his father, now President Biden, the former CIA Director John Brennan, and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper announced on October 19th, 2020, a letter stating that this was a product of Russian disinformation and “hacking.” There have been people looking into this pair of Neocons who will say anything to reach their end goal – World War III to wipe Russia off the face of the earth and attempting to investigate what amounts to TREASON. They are insisting on war and were against Trump for he did not want to wage war against Russia. That contributed to the whole RussiaGate nonsense.

It has been clearly established now that both Brennan and Clapper knew the Steel Dossier was fake and created by Hillary. They remained silent propelling the country into wasting millions and creating an image where 70% of Democrats believed that Putin interfered in the 2016 election. Without Putin, Hillary would have won and since Trump was against funding the NeoNazis of Ukraine that John McCain promised in December 2016 even before Trump was sworn in, that was it. He had to be removed to keep the hatred going of the Neocons.

Both of these guys did everything they could to ensure Trump would be removed from office. Why? Because Trump was anti-war the same as John F. Kennedy. The one thing that I was shocked and impressed with about Donald Trump was when I went to dinner at Mara largo in March 2020. He said then that he wanted to pull the troops out of Afghanistan. It was the first time I ever heard ANY head of state express any remorse for those who die in these endless wars.

Trump said he was sick of having to write letters to the parents explaining that their son died for his country with honor. He said that they were fighting there over borders and religion for 1,000s of years – “What difference are we going to make?” That will make those who just hate Trump angry. They listen to all the one-sided propaganda and are incapable of free thought.

Trump discovered that the people in his cabinet were all plants from the establishment. John Bolton never saw a war he did not support. He cared nothing about the boys who die for his Neocon extremes, or of the children whose levels will be forever changed because their father dies for Bolton’s Neocon dreams.

Robert McNamara (1916 – 2009) was a leading Neocon during the 1960s who pushed the country into the Vietnam war.  He was famous for saying:

I met Robert McNamara back in the ’90s. I must say, he was less of a Neocon thirty years later. Before he died in 2009, he wrote a book, which I recommend should be MANDATORY reading for all Neocons. What you think is real is far more dangerous than anything else when you have a settled closed mind. That is the mark of stupidity – not intelligence.

The very thing that destroyed Communism is what they are trying to do with us – end all conversation and accept only what they tell us. It is curiosity that keeps human society advancing. If we are not curious and question our surroundings, we crumble and die. A healthy debate of the issues is vital to our future survival as a society. Shut that down as they are doing right now with government censorship of social media, the end will not be that far behind.

The Deep State is controlled by the Neocons. They cannot sleep at night without an enemy. They NEVER advocate peace – they always want war. Most people believe that JFK was taken out by the CIA because he was against Vietnam. As soon as he was gone, Johnson took us into Vietnam even when the tapes confirm he knew the Vietnamese never attacked us. So much for details. They always need to pretend that they are not the aggressor – it is always the other guy.
