Abbott & Costello’s famous skit “Who’s on First Base.” Updated to COVID

Bud: ‘You can’t come in here!’

Lou: ‘Why not?’

Bud: ‘Well because you’re unvaccinated.’

Lou: ‘But I’m not sick.’

Bud: ‘It doesn’t matter.’

Lou: ‘Well, why does that guy get to go in?’

Bud: ‘Because he’s vaccinated.’

Lou: ‘But he’s sick!’

Bud: ‘It’s alright. Everyone in here is vaccinated.’

Lou: ‘Wait a minute. Are you saying everyone in there is vaccinated?’

Bud: ‘Yes.’

Lou: ‘So then why can’t I go in there if everyone is vaccinated?’

Bud: ‘Because you’ll make them sick.’

Lou: ‘How will I make them sick if I’m NOT sick and they’re vaccinated.’

Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’

Lou: ‘But they’re vaccinated.’

Bud: ‘But they can still get sick.’

Lou: ‘So what the heck does the vaccine do?’

Bud: ‘It vaccinates.’

Lou: ‘So vaccinated people can’t spread covid?’

Bud: ‘Oh no. They can spread covid just as easily as an unvaccinated person.’

Lou: ‘I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore. Look. I’m not sick.

Bud: ‘Ok.’

Lou: ‘And the guy you let in IS sick.’

Bud: ‘That’s right.’

Lou: ‘And everybody in there can still get sick even though they’re vaccinated.’

Bud: ‘Certainly.’

Lou: ‘So why can’t I go in again?’

Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’

Lou: ‘I’m not asking who’s vaccinated or not!’

Bud: ‘I’m just telling you how it is.’

Lou: ‘Nevermind. I’ll just put on my mask.’

Bud: ‘That’s fine.’

Lou: ‘Now I can go in?’

Bud: ‘Absolutely not?’

Lou: ‘But I have a mask!’

Bud: ‘Doesn’t matter.’

Lou: ‘I was able to come in here yesterday with a mask.’

Bud: ‘I know.’

Lou: So why can’t I come in here today with a mask? ….If you say ‘because I’m unvaccinated’ again, I’ll break your arm.’

Bud: ‘Take it easy buddy.’

Lou: ‘So the mask is no good anymore.’

Bud: ‘No, it’s still good.’

Lou: ‘But I can’t come in?’

Bud: ‘Correct.’

Lou: ‘Why not?’

Bud: ‘Because you’re unvaccinated.’

Lou: ‘But the mask prevents the germs from getting out.’

Bud: ‘Yes, but people can still catch your germs.’

Lou: ‘But they’re all vaccinated.’

Bud: ‘Yes, but they can still get sick.’

Lou: ‘But I’m not sick!!’

Bud: ‘You can still get them sick.’

Lou: ‘So then masks don’t work!’

Bud: ‘Masks work quite well.’

Lou: ‘So how in the heck can I get vaccinated people sick if I’m not sick and masks work?’

Bud: ‘Third base.

Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Texas, Biden Administration Must Reinstitute ‘Remain in Mexico’ Policy

This evening the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of Texas in a lawsuit against the federal government.   [View pdf Here]  The outcome is a ruling requiring the Biden administration to reinstitute the “remain in Mexico” policy put into place during the Trump administration.  The policy requires asylum seekers to remain in Mexico while they await hearings in the United States.

The ruling was 6-3 with Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Stephen Breyer dissenting from the majority opinion.  The ruling is a significant victory for Missouri and Texas, the two states who sued over Biden’s repeal of the policy and won a favorable ruling earlier this month requiring the Biden administration to return to the Trump-era policy.

It’s all about the science, they say…

Today the Oregon Ministry of COVID Compliance announces that all good citizens of the state will be wearing masks indoors and outside regardless of their vaccinated status. However, in an exhibition of her magnanimous empathy, Governor Brown says the rule does not apply to “children under 5; people who are actively eating drinking and sleeping; people experiencing homelessness; people who are playing competitive sports, and people performing outdoors.”

Smiles everyone, smiles !

Clad in pearls, this is the same Governor who recently announced the suspension of all educational requirements for High School graduation {Go Deep}, because it was too hard for all the minority students and persons of color to pass proficiency tests…  Because COVID.

A Most Unusual Thing in Australia, Alice

Contrariwise,’ continued Tweedledee, ‘if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn’t, it ain’t. That’s logic.”  So goes the wonderful words of Lewis Carroll from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland…. Which is the only appropriate frame of reference for what you are about to discover.

You see…

…The COVID madness has created a most unusual dynamic for the resident’s down-under and the painfully monitored Australian media who have to be careful not to run afoul of the government COVID compliance watchers.

Once a nation creates an alternate reality of itself, in this case a totalitarian reality based on government needing to create an irrational illusion of fear that becomes part of the accepted national identity, how can a media outlet call attention to the outcomes without finding themselves in front of the governmental board of inquisition?

Put another way,… if the pod under your bed malfunctioned, but the pods under all the other beds in the city worked, what happens when you awaken and realize you are not one of them, but you must engage in the world of them while looking for others -like yourself- whose pods hopefully malfunctioned?   That is the current challenge for media in Australia trying to report on their reality and yet avoid the ire from the national board of COVID compliance who have successfully brainwashed the audience.

One Australian media outlet seems to have found a way.  In this report from Sky News Australia, they avoid the censors by reporting on how the world is viewing Australian news, by sharing American news clips of Australian news.  It is weird and the perfect example of how bizarre the world has become over COVID.  WATCH:

Sky News host Rita Panahi says “to us, a bunch of teenagers being handcuffed in the middle of the night and fined $1,000 each for the crime of meeting at a Sydney beach has become normal,” she said. “But the rest of the world looks in abject horror.”

Ms Panahi then shares how people around the world are “marveling” at what’s happening in Australia, noting Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson has taken aim at how Australian police are treating protesters. “There is similar commentary and discussions I’ve seen from the UK,” Ms Panahi said. “Is this how we want to be perceived as a country?”

As a rather prescient Lewis Carroll continued to share in his novel of Alice, Through The Looking Glass:

“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?”

So here we are.

Reason for White House Panic, Biden Approval Rating Plummets – 39% Approval on Economy, 26% Approval on Afghanistan Withdrawal, Support Amid Independent Voters Abysmal

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on August 24, 2021 | Sundance | 214 Comments

If the White House appears to be running around in a panic that’s because they are.  The USA Today/Suffolk polling shows a massive collapse in Joe Biden approval far below anything previously registered for President Trump.

According to the reports of polling outcome, overall approval for Biden is 41% with disapproval at 55%.

Additionally, Biden barely has 50% approval for his handling of the pandemic, but a mere 39% approve of his handling of the economy.  THAT is a major issue what has the potential to infect the entire Democrat platform.

THAT is also why Nancy Pelosi is pushing the agenda so hard right now.  They have lost the American public and the tsunami consequences are creating massive voter backlash.

According to USA today, “while he has held the backing of 87% of Democrats, only 32% of independents say he’s doing a good job,” again, that’s a major problem.

(USA Today) […] Half approved of his handling of the pandemic, 39% of his handling of the economy, 26% of his handling of the Afghan withdrawal.

“Today, President Biden’s overall approval has taken a turn for the worse due to his awful job performance rating on Afghanistan,” said David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk Political Research Center. “His approval on immigration and the economy are also upside down. The only issue keeping him remotely in the game is his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, where he is barely at 50%.” (more)

Politically with these collapsing polling numbers it becomes much harder for the leftists to keep the pressure on their more centrist peers.  When the president loses support, the party support for a failing administration starts to weaken.  The party leadership can whip the representatives harder, but each lash draws less and less reaction.

As long as the American people keep dropping support for these failed policies; and there are real checkbook issues with inflation making it impossible for them to ignore; it becomes much harder for Biden to carry any political weight.

That problem has wide consequences as the COVID vaccination propaganda is also starting to blow up in their face.  Keep in mind all of these issues are happening with a U.S. media that is largely still supporting and propping up the Biden administration.  If MSM support starts to soften it will only make things exponentially worse.

2012 Ron Paul Revere

It was Ron Paul’s birthday last week so we are celebrating with a classic Ron Paul Cartoon from 2012

Original Post from 2012

Ron Paul may not win the election (it has been rigged against him), but we hope he stays in the race to communicate messages the MSM are ignoring.

That is, the country has been taken over by global banks, multi-national corporations and the military-industrial complex that Eisenhower warned us about. Ron Paul has raised awareness of the Federal Reserve and the fascist system it has produced. Corrupt money and politicians have destroyed the Republic.

Wealth and power have been concentrated into the hands of a global elite. Some may say it’s a conspiracy theory, but fascism is already here. Like Nazi Germany, we can be stopped without reason and we must produce papers. We are  searched without probable cause. The 4th Amendment is all but dead. They are going after freedom of speech next. Then the guns.

We must not willingly give them up.

Ron Paul is a modern-day Paul Revere. He has been warning us for years that fascism was coming. Now it’s here. Many Americans are waking up, but many more need to realize how valuable freedom is and how important it is for everyone to pitch in and help save the Constitution while we can.

Déjà vu, Overnight Nancy Pelosi Changes House Rules to Pass Green New Deal $3.5 Trillion Spending Package While Everyone Distracted by Afghanistan

Posted originally on the conservative Tree house on August 24, 2021 | Sundance | 145 Comments

If you remember how Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi forced former Representative Bart Stupak and the 19 Blue Dog democrats to cave on the Obamacare construct in 2010, then you have a solid reference point for what Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are doing right now.

As you are reading this Nancy Pelosi has pulled together her leadership group overnight to change the House rules for legislative passage of the $3.5 trillion Green New Deal spending package under the auspices of “infrastructure.”

This $3.5 trillion spending bill is in addition to the $1.5 trillion infrastructure bill that came from the Senate, and… she is using the $2 trillion budget package as the carrier for a slick “Deem and Pass” maneuver.

As we have seen before, right now Pelosi is changing the House rules to have a single vote on the current budget proposal which will include a ‘deem and pass’ provision that adds the $3.5 trillion Green New Deal spending package to it.

By voting to pass the omnibus budget bill, all House members will also be voting to authorize as passed the additional $3.5 trillion GND as a wraparound.

This means one single vote passes this massive social engineering project with more than $5.5 trillion in spending in a single bill.  Thereafter the House will vote on the Senate bill separately to add another $1.5 trillion, bringing the total spending by the House before they depart to a whopping $7 trillion; forever changing the American landscape.

After several hours of discussion and conference with a group of 10 ‘moderate’ democrats led by New Jersey Representative Josh Gottheimer, shortly before 1:00am ET Pelosi sent the House Democrats home with a pledge to finish the rules changes and prepare for a vote today, Tuesday.   The House will reconvene at noon and the votes will be whipped.

Politico has a breakdown of some insider details surrounding Pelosi’s negotiations with Gottheimer [SEE HERE].  However, in the final analysis it looks like Gottheimer and his ten moderate colleagues are going to end up doing the same thing as Bart Stupak and the Blue Dogs did with Obamacare.  Which means they will likely cave and approve the bill and procedural changes.

WASHINGTON DC – […] Several of the moderates were particularly incensed by a wonky maneuver that would wrap consideration of the ground rules of debate and the budget resolution itself into one vote, rather than the original plan that required two votes to advance the spending bill. After a few of them balked at Pelosi’s initial offer, Gottheimer returned for his second round of meetings with leadership and then shuttled back to his fellow centrists. (more)

Democrats are by nature totalitarian dictators and just like Bart Stupak, Josh Gottheimer is being threatened by Pelosi and House leadership if he doesn’t go along and get his group to vote in support of Pelosi’s massive scheme.   All indications are this group of moderate democrats will not hold up against the massive onslaught of pressure from the leftists now in control of the party.

In the aftermath of ObamaCare Bart Stupak (Michigan) and the entire 19 member blue-dog caucus were wiped out in the 2010 mid-term election; however, by then ObamaCare was cemented.  Democrats actually lost a total of 63 seats in the U.S. House (biggest crushing defeat since 1938) and lost 6 seats in the Senate.  That was the political cost to Democrats, but they won their government takeover of healthcare and college tuition.

The $3.5 trillion Green New Deal/Socialist takeover plan is tracking along an almost identical path to ObamaCare.   Schemes, rule changes and parliamentarian tricks used to get passage ‘by any means necessary‘.

Georgia Republican Representative Barry Loudermilk (GA-11th CD) attempted to send an urgent clarion call for help last night.  WATCH:
