DOJ Pays Gymnasts $138 Million Settlement for FBI Misconduct in Larry Nassar Sex Assault Cases

In 2021 the DOJ Inspector General released an absolutely damning investigation of FBI conduct in the rape and sexual assault of U.S. Gymnasts.  The IG report revealed how FBI agents facilitated Larry Nassar’s sex crimes by taking no action despite numerous witness statements to them.

Worse yet, the FBI never reported evidence of the sexual assaults to local law enforcement – and to top it off, the FBI agents lied during the investigation of their conduct.  The DOJ under AG Bill Barr refused to prosecute the FBI liars, but today the DOJ gave the gymnasts $138 million, bringing the total lawsuit settlement to over a billion dollars.

Michigan State University gave $500 million to more than 300 women and girls who were assaulted. USA Gymnastics and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee settled for $380 million, and today the DOJ settled for $138 million. No one in the FBI was ever held accountable.

DETROIT — The U.S. Justice Department announced a $138.7 million settlement Tuesday with more than 100 people who accused the FBI of grossly mishandling allegations of sexual assault against Larry Nassar in 2015 and 2016, a critical time gap that allowed the sports doctor to continue to prey on victims before his arrest.

When combined with other settlements, $1 billion now has been set aside by various organizations to compensate hundreds of women who said Nassar assaulted them under the guise of treatment for sports injuries. (read more)

IG Report Excerpt – […] “The OIG found that, despite the extraordinarily serious nature of the allegations and the possibility that Nassar’s conduct could be continuing, senior officials in the FBI Indianapolis Field Office failed to respond to the Nassar allegations with the utmost seriousness and urgency that they deserved and required, made numerous and fundamental errors when they did respond to them, and violated multiple FBI policies.

The Indianapolis Field Office did not undertake any investigative activity until September 2nd, five weeks after the meeting with USA Gymnastics—when they telephonically interviewed one of the three athletes. Further, FBI Indianapolis never interviewed the other two gymnasts who they were told were available to meet with FBI investigators.

This absence of any serious investigative activity was compounded when the Indianapolis Field Office did not transfer the matter to the FBI office (the Lansing Resident Agency), where venue most likely would have existed had evidence been developed to support the potential federal crimes being considered, even though the Indianapolis office had been advised to do so by the USAO and had told USA Gymnastics that the transfer had occurred.

Additionally, the Indianapolis office did not notify state or local authorities of the sexual assault allegations even though it questioned whether there was federal jurisdiction to pursue them. As a result, the Lansing Resident Agency did not learn of the Nassar allegations until over a year after they were first reported to the FBI and then learned of them only from the MSUPD.

Moreover, the FBI conducted no investigative activity in the matter for more than 8 months following the September 2015 interview. During that period of time, as alleged and detailed in numerous civil complaints, Nassar’s sexual assaults continued.” (read full report)

Judge Declares Mistrial in Murder Case of Rancher George Kelly Accused of Shooting Illegal Alien

Apparently, the jury was deadlocked with 7 jurors saying not guilty and 1 juror saying guilty.

ARIZONA – […] Jurors in the murder case against a Nogales-area rancher accused of killing an unarmed migrant on his property were unable to reach a unanimous verdict and remained deadlocked on the charges.

After more than 15 hours of deliberation, Santa Cruz County Superior Court Judge Thomas Fink declared a mistrial just after 4:30 p.m. The court scheduled a status meeting for 1:30 p.m. April 29 to allow the Santa Cruz County Attorney’s Office to decide if it wants to retry the case.

“They won’t wear me down,” rancher George Alan Kelly told reporters after the mistrial was declared.

The trial centered on the Jan. 30, 2023, death of Mexican migrant Gabriel Cuen Buitimea, who was found shot after Kelly fired warning shots into the air, his defense attorney said. (read more)

Public Sector Multiplying – Skewed Jobs Report

Posted originally on Apr 22, 2024 By Martin Armstrong

Fed Chairman Jerome Powell essentially said he was unimpressed by the “strong” jobs report, and it certainly was not enough for the central bank to even consider dropping rates. I wrote how the BLS report was skewed; Americans are working more than one job and still struggling to keep up with the cost of living amid inflation. Another reason that the March jobs report was “strong” was due to the US government hiring 194,000 additional personnel to the private sector within the first three months of the year and 71,000 jobs in March alone.

These public sector positions are now on the taxpayers’ payroll. The public sector produces absolutely nothing and will not add to GDP growth. By comparison, government grew by 11% during the first three months of 2019 before Biden. The private sector rose by 4.3% in 2022 before slowing to 2.3% in 2023. The public sector, not the private sector, is growing at an alarming pace. Government hiring rose a full percentage point from 2022 to 2023 by 2.7%, marking the highest annual increase since 1990.

Armstrong on Government

The government cannot hire manufacturing jobs and added a total of 0 new manufacturing roles in March. Police agencies have been defunded and are operating with a dangerously low number of officers. The government is increasingly created unnecessary agencies to solve nonexistent problems like DEI and climate initiatives. I discussed in a previous post how the public sector leeches off of the taxpayer and has become a form of welfare that is used as a political weapon.

Javier Milei of Argentina’s first point of order in restoring his nation was to eliminate useless government agencies and downsize government. “The main leaders of the Western world have abandoned the model of freedom for different versions of what we call collectivism,” Milei said to a hostile crowd at Davos. “We’re here to tell you that collectivist experiments are never the solution to the problems that afflict the citizens of the world—rather they are the root cause.”

Now, the Biden Administration has been blocked from hiring even more public sector employees. Without pushback, the Biden Administration would have multiplied the IRS and other agencies that are intrinsically unpatriotic and are used as weapons against the American people, the very people funding these agencies through taxation.

1 Big Government

I also highlighted that these newly created nonprofit government-funded agencies are inefficient. An audit in California found that the $24 billion granted to numerous agencies to combat homelessness was never regulated or required to show results. Instead, homelessness more than doubled and you have people within these nonprofit agencies raking in hundreds of thousands per year to do absolutely nothing.

We have seen what happens when governments grow to disproportionate figures and it never ends well. The longest reigning empire, the Roman Empire, fell as a direct result of an oversized public sector that bankrupted Rome. The private sector produces economic growth, while government is a public servant consuming the wealth generated by others.

Cannibals Ate My Uncle

Canables Eat my Uncle

Just for the record, the U.S. government’s record of missing service members does not attribute Finnegan’s death to hostile action or indicate cannibals were any factor. Finnegan was the brother of Biden’s mother, who he claimed “got shot down in New Guinea,” where there were a lot of cannibals. There is nothing to support this statement. This is the guy they want as President because he lets them do whatever they want. “Them” is every agency in the USA.

Insurance is Always a Scam – Beware – They Pay NO CLAIMS in time of war

Loyds refuse to pay for NordStream R

Loyds Nord Stream v (1) LIC and (2) Arch – CL-2024-000094 – Defence

Switzerland-based Nord Stream AG filed a lawsuit against the insurers for refusing to compensate the company. Nord Stream estimated the cost incurred by the attack to be between €1.2 billion and €1.35 billion and is seeking to recoup over €400 million in damages. The insurers, Lloyd’s Insurance Company and Arch Insurance Company responded that since the Nord Stream explosions were “more likely than not to have been inflicted by… a government,” they have no responsibility to pay for damages to the pipelines.

British insurers took the position that they have no obligation to honor their coverage of the Nord Stream pipelines because they were blown up in September 2022, because they were destroyed as an unprecedented act of sabotage, most likely carried out by a national government. They have contradicted reports of the Washington Post and others claiming that a private Ukrainian team was responsible for the massive act of industrial sabotage.

In their legal brief, you can download above, filed by Lloyd’s and Arch Insurance Companies, they state that the “defendants will rely on, inter alia, the fact that the explosion Damage could only have (or, at least, was more likely than not to have) been inflicted by or under the order of a government.”

Consequently,  they argue, “the Explosion Damage was “directly or indirectly occasioned by, happening through, or in consequence of” the conflict between Russia and Ukraine and therefore falls under an exclusion relating to military conflicts. This is important because regardless of your insurance, going into war means they will never pay any claims. Personally, I have NEVER had any insurance company EVER pay what I was covered for. When I die, I am sure they will claim that he is a clone and he is hiding somewhere.

A tree once fell on my brand-new car in a storm. It was then sent to Bordentown Autobody to be repaired. They burned down with my car in it. Allstate Insurance screwed me because I paid cash for the car, and as soon as they knew no bank was involved, they claimed there were two deductibles and subtracted about 25%, knowing that would be my legal fees to make it UNREALISTIC to sue them. Insurance is ALWAYS a scam.

UniParty Spotlight – More Democrats Vote for Johnson Foreign Aid Bill Than Republicans

Posted originally on the CTH on April 19, 2024 | Sundance

165 Democrats voted for a foreign aid package brought to the floor by Republican Speaker Mike Johnson.  The measure includes $26 billion more for Israel, $61 billion more for Ukraine and around $10 billion for Taiwan.   151 Republicans voted to support the aid bill.

There is almost $100 billion in total foreign aid and approximately $0 to secure the southern U.S. border.  This is a “Republican” bill, that passed with Democrats, not Republicans.  The ideological UniParty is very real in Washington DC, and this vote was entirely against the wishes of most Americans.

We are in an abusive relationship with our government. There really is no other way to look at it.

WASHINGTON DC – […] underscoring deep intraparty frustrations with Johnson’s strategy, 55 Republicans voted against advancing the package — a once unheard-of GOP rebellion that has grown more common given their single-digit margin.

Normally that would be enough to scuttle Johnson’s plan, but 165 Democrats voted to bring up the bills. It’s the first time they’ve done so during Johnson’s speakership — an alliance that is likely to fuel calls from his most vocal critics to strip him of his gavel.

The House is now slated to vote on the bills early Saturday afternoon, and Johnson will once again need substantial help from Democrats to get them over to the Senate. Majority Leader Steve Scalise said Friday that he plans to support the package, while Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.) declined to state his position when asked.

“I’m pleased that we were able to come to a bipartisan agreement,” said House Appropriations Chair Tom Cole (R-Okla.). He added: “It’s working out the way the speaker wanted it to, which is that every member is free to vote their conscience … in a way they usually aren’t.”

The House structured the package so as to ease its consideration in the Senate, requiring less time and procedural votes to pass the upper chamber. While senators are scheduled to be out of Washington next week, there’s ongoing discussion about canceling that recess to take up the House plan if it passes. (read more)

It’s really not just Mike Johnson, the root of the issue is much deeper than just corrupt and detached Republican leadership.  The issue extends to every aspect of life and politics in Washington DC.  Every member is participating in a process to give money to other countries, regardless of whether the American voter wants that to happen or not.

There is a complete collapse of the governmental structure of the United States as it pertains to representative government.  The concept of representative government is completely gone, not even considered any longer amid the professional political class from both wings of the UniParty vulture.

I have no idea how this structural collapse can be fixed.  There doesn’t seem to be any entity willing to stop the nonsense as it relates to financial systems and U.S. foreign aid.

At a certain point amid all of this madness, you just have to elevate and accept the dollar-based U.S. Central Bank Digital Currency (USCBDC) is going to happen…. in large part because UniParty spending like this makes central bank digital currency a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Too few people understand how that USCBDC issue will fundamentally change the dynamic of everything…

Homelessness Epidemic: the Public Sector is a Welfare Program

Posted originally on Apr 19, 2024 By Martin Armstrong

California’s homeless crisis proves the public sector is a welfare program and political tool. The California State Auditor released a report this month that reveals California’s programs to combat homelessness have been utterly ineffective. Nine agencies funded by the state have received billions from 2018 to 2023, but homelessness is rapidly rising and California hosts the largest homeless population in the nation. What have these public agencies done with the $24 BILLION they were awarded to combat homelessness?

Homelessness have risen by 56.7% in California since 2015. The federal department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has been used to funnel money to smaller state entities under the impression that they would use the money to assist the people. California Interagency Council on Homelessness (Cal ICH) takes the funding from HUD to coordinate with these main nine failed programs, but the audit found that CAL ICH has failed to consistently track where this money has gone and has zero methods in place for gathering data on the success of these federally funded initiatives.

“Cal ICH’s statutory goals give it specific responsibilities as the State’s primary resource for homelessness policy coordination and accountability. However, it has also been directly managing multiple large grant programs as mandated by statute, including the multibillion‑dollar HHAP program and the more‑than‑$700 million ERF program,” the study found.

MiltonFriedman.GovernmentRegulationsIncompetence

The audit could “not determine the cost-effectiveness” of any of the programs funded by HUD through Cal ICH as they have “not collected complete outcome data for this program, and the expenditure data it has collected may be unreliable.”

This means that the federal government permitted the state of California to squander $24 BILLION in taxpayer funds in a mere five years. They were provided this money with no strings attached and were not required to prove that their agencies were working. As Argentina’s Javier Milei said, “The origins of our evils is the cancer called the public sector.” There are people within these non-profit agencies making a lot of money to do absolutely nothingThe public sector has largely become a form of government welfare as they produce nothing but expect everything. If these agencies actually combatted homelessness, they’d be out of work.

For example, CEO of Dignity Health, Lloyd H. Dean of California was the highest paid nonprofit executive in 2022 after taking home $35.5 million when his agency made a revenue of $9.5 billion. Second in line was Gregory Adams of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, who earned $15.6 million with a revenue of $68.1 billion. The third highest-paid non-profit role went to Teresa Campbell of San Diego County Credit Union, who earned $11.8 million on a revenue of $305.2 million. Their organizations are largely tax-exempt since they’re not for profit.

The audit concluded that the state should be held accountable and have some form of reporting standards in place. “To promote transparency, accountability, and effective decision‑making related to the State’s efforts to address homelessness, Cal ICH should request that state agencies responsible for administering state‑funded homelessness programs provide spending‑ and outcome‑related information for people entering, experiencing, and exiting homelessness,” the audit concluded.

Milei.PublicSector

They should completely eliminate these agencies. The $24 billion was certainly enough to see that these agencies are merely leeching off of society, preying upon the most vulnerable in our nation. How could homelessness have more than doubled since these agencies were implemented? Simple. The people in control of the money are misusing the funds.

Those who want socialism or social justice fail to realize that this is precisely what happens to entire nations when the public sector becomes the supreme leader. They create useless agencies that continue to grow like cancerous cells, multiplying in size and in funding. THEY PRODUCE NOTHING! The federal government provides them funding without expecting results. This is a dirty game that the federal government plays with its pet state, and in the end, we the people always lose.
