Moving Through the Chaos

Fox News host Tucker Carlson delivered a speech in Arizona at AmFest yesterday that hits home for many people. [Direct Rumble Link, at 02:21:46]  If you have not watched his full speech, I recommend it and will embed at the bottom of this post.

In part of Tucker’s unscripted remarks, a discussion about this current moment in the lifecycle of life’s storm and cultural chaos, Carlson noted his need to go silent for a few days and reflect on the bigger picture of our situation.   For me, that part of his discussion rang very familiar and perhaps, based entirely on my instinct that many are feeling the same sense of unease and trepidation, it is worthy to share why.

I was born a person of natural curiosity; intensely so.

Orderliness, natural alignment and the bigger principles of universal balance in all things, have always been important to me.  When things are chaotic and out of balance, my general inclination is to ask why.

What is happening that creates this imbalance, an imbalance ultimately from truth?

The natural order of things is so much a part of my instinctual makeup that as a young child my maternal grandfather once said and wrote to me, “son, you were born with an incurable case of curiosity, and someday it might kill you.”

Later in life I discovered the nature of that conversation stemmed from an episode where I refused to accept being taught imbalanced rules at school. My worried and intensely patient mom sought advice from her father, my granddad, in a letter I later discovered in his well-worn satchel of mementos.

Turning a phrase my mom wrote, “Dear dad, we are attempting to tame the shrewd“… Apparently, my childhood sense of curiosity was loved and cherished, but also worrisome in the way that only a mother’s wisdom could assess.

Granddad replied with a comforting dispatch to my exasperated mom, and then appeared in person a week later to help lend some practical support to my parent’s efforts.

In this context, ‘practical’ meant me and grandpa on a week-long fishing and camping trip right in the middle of the school year.  The timing was why that specific visit imprinted so memorably, yet the purpose remained unknown to me until much later in life.

From grandpa’s conversations I learned there are natural laws and basic rules in this universal thing we call life.  They are seeded within us, deep into our souls, from the miracle of birth and creation.  We inherently know things, we sense things, and it is only as an outcome of immersion in the world of unnatural laws and man-made rules, that we begin to be disconnected from them.

This is the God factor in life, the thing that is bigger than ourselves, that various religions and philosophers have noted and discussed.

At birth we know right from wrong. We are born with an instinctual knowledge that hurting others is bad and helping others is good. We know from birth the difference between true and false, this is the part that caused the immediate issue with my younger self questioning the school learning.

My 11-year-old self was worrying that we were losing catch bait time that second morning, meanwhile grandpa was frustratingly and mysteriously ambivalent about the sunrise.

Instead, my scruffy hero in life said to me while boiling coffee, there are natural states of existence, natural instincts, that transcend learned outcomes and consequences.

Touch fire and get burned is a learned outcome, knowing the difference between right and wrong, between love and anger, is not.

In essence, if you follow the natural flow of things, you arrive to realize that “emotions are not learned; we are born with them.”

Think about that deeply.  Emotions are not learned; we are born with them…  The implications are enormous.

“Penguins are birds that needed to swim, not fly, so they evolved wings into flippers, but man’s emotions were present from day one and never wavered.”  Odd, breakfast conversation.  Then comes a cuss word which always drew my grins and attention. “We also know all about four factors of energy, the two nuclear sciences, fusion and fission, hell we are reliant on the third, electromagnetic, yet we have no damned clue how the gravity one works.”

Yup, there’s me standing, listening, a cast net in one hand and bucket in the other… slowly realizing the bait ain’t the priority.  “Kid, it just isn’t a coincidence that three of the four energy factors are created by man and the last one is unique to God.”

Suddenly the clarity surfaced, grandpas got a point.  The man-made transformation of energy into electricity we understand; however, when it comes to the one factor of energy that God created, we’re clueless.  Hence that Einstein guy saying, he “wants to know God’s thoughts, the rest are details.

Why would you be born with an inherent natural gift to feel emotion?  Why do we have the ability to feel joy, happiness, sadness, anger, frustration, guilt, fear, love, grief etc, if the human condition was only based on biological perpetuation?

We carry emotion as a human trait because the answer lies in the heart of our God’s intent, our purpose.    You were born knowing right from wrong, good from bad, and knowing the difference between fear and hope.  We were all born with a spiritual purpose and created by a loving God.

It takes effort to remain living among men yet connected to the natural state, or what grandpa described as “God’s natural order.”

The effort requires a person to separate themselves from the unnatural outcomes of man’s manipulations, rules and unnatural order.  In common speak we must make an effort, literally think about it and take action, to create distance from chaos and return our mindsets to the natural order we were born with.

Ultimately, prayer and even church are an outcome of prior thoughtful human leadership recognizing our need to sit still and return to our natural state.

Right now, in this modern era within the United States and perhaps the larger western world, almost every structured system is in a state of chaos.  Control mechanisms and man-made manipulations are being deployed everywhere in order to steer the outcomes amid this chaotic storm.

I think back to that sunrise and my grandfather’s words.  I think about my efforts to help as a guide reconciling the ‘why questions’.  I will have a bit more soon on the importance of understanding the situation in order to see the appropriate place to put the pressure and achieve natural balance.

However, in the interim, and after watching his full presentation, I have this deep sense that Tucker Carlson will be a stabilizing force as a guide for his grandkids.

The Fourth Sunday of Advent

Gospel

Mt 1:18-24

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about.
When his mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph,
but before they lived together,
she was found with child through the Holy Spirit.
Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man,
yet unwilling to expose her to shame,
decided to divorce her quietly.
Such was his intention when, behold,
the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said,
“Joseph, son of David,
do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home.
For it is through the Holy Spirit
that this child has been conceived in her.
She will bear a son and you are to name him Jesus,
because he will save his people from their sins.”
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:
Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel,

which means “God is with us.”
When Joseph awoke,
he did as the angel of the Lord had commanded him
and took his wife into his home.

President Trump Announces Plan to Protect Free Speech and Digital Bill of Rights

This afternoon President Donald Trump released a video outlining a campaign platform position around free speech. {Direct Rumble Link}

Referencing the latest revelations about various political groups, campaigns and government agencies instructing social media platforms on the removal of content, President Trump notes his position would be to dismantle the government systems that facilitate the censorship.   President Trump notes he would sign an executive order banning any federal agency from censoring or limiting the free speech of American citizens.

Additionally, President Trump noted he would ban federal money from being used to label domestic speech as misinformation or disinformation, along with firing any bureaucrat who has previously engaged in the domestic censorship, directly or indirectly, including within all agencies of the DHS, FBI or DOJ who have targeted the free speech rights of Americans.  WATCH:

Among other initiatives, President Trump called for the federal government to break ties with any nonprofits and academic programs that are aimed at tacking mis- and disinformation.

“If any U.S. university is discovered to have engaged in censorship activities or election interferences in the past, such as flagging social media content for removal of blacklisting, those universities should lose federal research dollars and federal student loan support for a period of five years, and maybe more,” he said.

Harmeet Dhillon Expands Discussion on Her Priority for RNC Change During Interview with Steve Bannon

December 6, 2022 | Sundance | 88 Comments

California Republican National Committee (RNC) Representative Harmeet Dhillon appears with Steve Bannon to give her expanded explanation of why she wants to become RNC chair and the reforms she views are needed within the national body. {Direct Rumble Link}

Mrs. Dhillon expresses a desire to remove the current divide that exists between RNC national members and the base voters within the states.  Reemphasizing the need for the populist voice to have representation in the Republican Party, Mrs. Dhillon outlines the need to shift priorities in order to align with the base voter. WATCH:

Steve Bannon is correct mid-interview when he says 95% of the donor apparatus to the RNC are globalist Wall Street billionaires and corporations who want the RNC aligned with their financial priorities.  That is a big issue and one not easily resolved.  As long as the RNC emphasizes the importance of money, the voice of the voting base will always be a secondary consideration.

The DNC wants power. The RNC wants money. The DNC uses money to get power. The RNC uses power to get money.  The ideology of the DNC drives their donor activity. The donor activity of the RNC drives their ideology.  This is the essential difference.

If you want to fracture the internecine relationships behind the RNC business model, here are my suggestions:

Start with the standards to be a member of the Republican National Committee. Structure the by-laws for RNC committee membership as you would a company with rules and regulations on the members.

First, no RNC national committee member, can be a registered or unregistered lobbyist. If you want to be a political lobbyist, you cannot be a Republican National Committee member.

Next, no RNC national committee member can be part of a Political Action Committee; run a PAC or SuperPAC or be a participating member of PAC or SuperPAC.

All RNC members must adhere to principles of representing voters, not internal party candidates. No RNC member can operate in any capacity on behalf of any candidate for any elected office.

As a Republican National Committee member, you are not allowed to be a contractor or subcontracted agent for the RNC with any financial interest in the outcome of RNC decisions.

No RNC committee member can operate a consulting business that *sells* services, directly or indirectly to the RNC, or otherwise benefits financially from the Republican National Committee.

Republican National Committee members agree to represent the voter interests of the RNC and carry no direct, indirect or familial relationship, with any donor to the RNC in excess of $100k that intersects with any official RNC business.

No Republican National Committee member, nor member of their immediate family, can hold interest in any group, firm, business or political entity (profit or nonprofit), that draws financial benefit from the RNC.

All RNC members agree to submit copies of their federal income tax filings to the RNC for review on a bi-annual basis, or as requested by the Chair of the committee.

Membership at the RNC is an ‘at will’ agreement, subject to removal and/or revocation of membership status by the national Chair at any time – with state chapters providing a replacement within 60 days.

State appointments to the RNC must pass a standard criminal background check conducted by, and at the expense of, the state chapter.

The National Republican Committee will form an advisory council to the Chair and establish a standard code of ethical conduct required for membership that will outline and define rules of conduct and other member rules deemed necessary to avoid any conflicts of interest.

No national RNC member can receive any financial benefit as an outcome of national RNC membership.

Unfortunately, the nature of the RNC assembly is the exact reason why this series of rules and or standards would never be allowed.  The RNC Committee Members, including Harmeet Dhillon herself, operate within a system that creates influence and affluence of the membership.  If you take away the money to be made with RNC national membership, particularly removing the ability of RNC members to sell influence to third parties and donors, the entire reason people join the RNC collapses.

The priority of the DNC is to win elections, assemble power and by extension control the mechanisms that deliver them wealth.  The priority of the RNC is money, and by extension winning elections is not the most important thing. The priority of the RNC is the accumulation of wealth for itself.

The DNC has ideology as their core mission objective, that focus drives their fundraising and ballot collection. In this approach the ideology remains consistent.  However, the RNC has monetary gain as their core mission objective, and that drives their ideology.  The RNC ideology is therefore subject to being purchased by the desires of the current biggest buyer.

The Democrats want power. The Republicans want money. The DNC uses money to get power. The RNC uses power to get money.

The biggest issue within the dynamic of the RNC is the lack of honesty, transparency and clear thinking stewardship.  The RNC regards Republican voters as annoyances to be overcome and managed in the assembly of their priority, money.

Harmeet Dhillon has expressed on her social media and recent interviews that she wants to change this dynamic.

We will find out late January.

DOJ Once Again Changes Trump Seizure Evidence List Dropping “Empty Classified Folders”, and Continues Refusing to Give President Trump Lawyers the Affidavit Used for Search Warrant

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on November 25, 2022 | Sundance

In a recent court filing [Document Here] President Trump through his legal counsel has requested Judge Cannon to unredact and unseal the search warrant affidavit used as the predicate for the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago.  Apparently, the DOJ have yet to provide President Trump with the constitutionally required predicate documents to support their search.

Additionally, the DOJ previously leaked to media about “empty folders with classified banners” as part of the evidence cache they collected.  According to the filing the DOJ has since presented three different versions of their evidence collection list, with the most recent list dropping any claims of “two empty folders with classified banners.”

[Source, page 4]

While asking the court to provide the affidavit to the defense team, the lawyers for President Trump are noting the fourth amendment protects everyone against warrantless searches and seizures, and that same protection also guarantees the target the right to receive and review the claimed justification for the warrant.

The unredacted affidavit is obligated to be supplied so that it can be determined if the search warrant was legally valid and predicated.  General search warrants are not legally permitted.  The warrant must specify what is being searched and why.  The DOJ is fighting against this affidavit release.  The Trump lawyers are asking the judge to make a decision.

[Source with complete filing]

The issue of compartmented (siloed) information, specifically as a tool and technique of the aloof DC system to retain control and influence, is a matter we have discussed on these pages for several years.

Quite literally anything can be classified as a ‘national security interest’ in the deep state effort to retain the illusion of power over the proles, ie us. It is the exact reason why congress exempts themselves from laws and regulations written for everyone else.

In this case we are watching the DOJ National Security Division (DOJ-NSD) deny the production of the material that supports the framework of their search warrant.  Again, if Main Justice has nothing to hide, then why are they not willing to stand openly behind the predicate for their search.

Why Celebrate Advent

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on November 25, 2022 | Menagerie

Advent is a season of preparation that has a twofold purpose. Advent begins with Evening Prayer I of the Sunday falling on or closest to 30 November and ends before evening prayer I of Christmas. We prepare ourselves not only for the coming joy of our celebration of the birth of the Christ child; we also prepare ourselves for the Second Coming of Christ.

For Catholics, Advent is the beginning of the new liturgical year. The seasons of that year have always led me on a journey with Christ each year, and I gain so much in the consistency of the seasons and readings. We begin with Advent, awaiting the birth of Christ, then celebrate the Christmas Octave and season, Epiphany, and then soon begins Lent, in preparation for Easter. Then, after the Easter season ends with Pentecost, we have the bulk of Ordinary Time until the end of the liturgical year, and Advent again.

The readings at Mass reflect these times in the life of Christ. They take us through his birth, baptism, ministry, Passion, Death, and Resurrection. I find Advent and Lent especially to be times that help me prepare to meet Jesus in deeper and more profound ways.

Many Christian denominations celebrate Advent, perhaps in ways a little different from those of us who observe a liturgical calendar and cycle. But the focus, the point, is to prepare for the coming of Jesus.

We will have posts for each Sunday of Advent, beginning this weekend. I ask that you save political comments for the other posts. Please, give people a place to think about and discuss something else. I hope these posts will be an aid to all who stop in here during this busy season, an invitation to take a moment and find the reason we prepare for Christmas.
