Outstanding Monologue by Tucker Carlson – Deconstructing “Democracy is at Stake,” the Narrative

Fox News host Tucker Carlson doesn’t always align the granular details in a way that I will always agree with; however, in this monologue he accurately and brilliantly deconstructs the “Democracy at Stake” narrative. Tucker Carlson simply nails this.

This big picture monologue on the distinct difference between what authoritarian minded Democrats and media call “democracy”, and what true democracy actually is meant to represent, is brilliantly presented. WATCH:

Hurricane Ian Recovery Update – “Debris”

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 31, 2022 | sundance

In a previous update I noted the scale of debris cleanup ongoing as an outcome of Hurricane Ian.  Several people made inquiries wanting to better understand the overall magnitude.  So, I took some pictures today to share.

According to one of the debris contractor officials I incidentally bumped into, he shared how the debris cleanup was bid to the municipal regions using an actuarial formula from prior disaster recovery.  It’s a pretty interesting, albeit heartbreaking, formula and overall process to understand.

After a geographic region is identified, an interim helicopter flight by specifically trained experts in the industry of debris removal is conducted.  The general statistics applied to the contracts are for seven years’ worth of normal debris in the municipal region.

Meaning whatever tonnage is normally accumulated in municipal trash pickup over a year (garbage and recycling), that tonnage number is then multiplied by seven, and that’s the amount of debris anticipated during the initial hurricane debris removal.  Seven years’ worth of ‘trash’.

More pictures below to help understand.

♦DEBRIS – The scale of physical debris is jaw dropping.  FEMA reimburses local municipalities for the first 30 days of debris removal effort and costs.  The 30-day limit is intended as a financial incentive to kick municipalities into fast action.  This incentive is not a bad concept.  Factually, it’s one of the better FEMA legislative standards because it forces local government to act quickly.  However, the scale of what they are trying to do is just intense.

The various municipal governments in the severe impact zones appear to have a strategy to use the 30-day window to just collect as much as possible in interim geographic locations.  Large empty lots (example below) are being utilized as fast dumps for massive piles of debris in this 30-day window.  A claw truck can make a dozen fast runs (per day) locally to these interim dump sites, as opposed to driving long distances to landfills 30 to 50 miles away.

One of these 10-acre dump sites is less than a mile from me.  I do not know how many of these exist; however, to see a full ten acres piled high with 10 to 20′ of debris gives me a sense of the scale of damage in this one small area within a region that must have hundreds of these interim sites.  I have been to a dozen post-hurricane recovery areas and never seen debris like this.

Everything from destroyed construction material, to home furnishings, beds, appliances, parts of boats, roof parts, toys, patio furniture, pieces of cars, clothing, you name it, it’s all there.  All now defined under the term “debris.” However, each piece of debris representing the former life of a family impacted by this storm.  The trucks just keep coming, day and night 24/7.  [Logistics tower for one 10-acre collection site pictured below]

In the bigger picture, when you think about what is represented, it’s a sullen site to bear witness to… Any person of reasonable Christian disposition would just cry.  They have fenced off these interim dumping sites, and they have erected lights and temporary crane towers to seemingly assist the logistics of what goes where, but my God the scale of it is humbling.  This is just one site utilized for an area of what seems to be approximately 5 square miles.  Expand that scale to hundreds of similar 10-acre sites. Yeah, tears.

Eventually I assume these interim sites will be cleared one truckload at a time to the inner state landfills and recycle facilities. That phase will likely take years.

That’s a small snapshot.

Multiple those images times several thousand streets and similar areas.

Now you know what things look like.

Now you also know why Starfish Kid stays focused on the two feet in front of him…

…. If you look up for too long, the whispers of despair will try to get you.

Steadfast, with No Quit!

Love to all,

Thoughtful Monologue, Tucker Carlson Discusses the Potential Impact of a Free Speech Twitter

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 29, 2022 | Sundance

Tucker Carlson used his opening monologue Friday evening to outline his perspective on the Elon Musk takeover of the social media platform Twitter.   Generally, Carlson does a good job framing the big picture of national events; however, Carlson outdid himself on this contextualized delivery.

While the underlying premise of Carlson’s position is structured on a yet-to-be-seen possibility of free speech, the context for the importance of the moment is very well presented.  I hope that Tucker Carlson is correct in regard to the altruistic intent of Mr. Musk.  Well worth watching:

Carlson’s monologue reminded me of Oleg’s brilliant take on this moment in history (picture below):

President Trump Will Not Return to Twitter, While Elon Musk Says Content Decisions Will Be Made By “Moderation Council”

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 28, 2022 | Sundance

Earlier today President Trump noted he would not be returning to the Twitter social media platform; he likes Truth Social better:

(Source)

Additionally, with a great deal of interest in what will happen to the Twitter platform, Mr. Elon Musk has announced a diverse moderation council will be created to make content rules and guidelines.  Following up with a reply, “we have not yet made any changes to Twitter’s content moderation policies.”

(Source)

There is a great deal of interest in the outcome of the purchase of Twitter.  However, it is worth tempering any expectations and taking a wait and see approach.

Is Musk independent?  Does anyone really know?

From what my own research indicates, and assuming Mr Musk is entirely independent minded, I think it may take any “independent” Musk team quite a while to find out exactly what the internal networks of Twitter are all about.

My guess is, there are background connections in the Twitter code [compatibility datasets to align with other (shadow?) networks] that will take a long time to unravel.

I stand by my original inclination:  Twitter is to the U.S. Govt, what TikTok is to China.

President Trump Announces Midterm Election Rallies in Key States Including Florida, as Democrats Abandon the Sunshine State

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 27, 2022 | sundance

President Donald J Trump has announced four key election week rallies, with more possible, as the race to the midterm election comes down the stretch.

The announced stops include Sioux City, Iowa (Thursday 11/3); Latrobe, Pennsylvania (Saturday 11/5); Miami, Florida (Sunday 11/6); and Dayton, Ohio on Monday November 07.  See Below:

(source)

The Sunday evening event in Miami, Florida, is happening as Democrat donors and party officials have all but given up on the state.  According to Politico:

[…] “Most worrisome for Democrats, national organizations and donors have all but abandoned their candidates — setting off fears that Florida is no longer viewed as competitive. That would have dire implications for the next presidential election.”

[…] “Translation: It’s over. And it’s going to be ugly.”

It’s not the only bad sign for Democrats in Miami-Dade County, where nearly 60 percent of voters are Hispanic. An internal poll released earlier this month by Democrat Annette Taddeo had her beating her Republican opponent, Rep. María Elvira Salazar, by just 1 point in Miami-Dade County’s 27th Congressional District — but with DeSantis up on Crist by 6 points in that district. DeSantis lost the district in 2018 by nearly 8 points. (read more)

President Trump organizing a Sunday rally in Miami-Dade for Marco Rubio, where Trump’s support level far exceeds current Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, is a smart move.  Rubio will benefit from the high Latino loyalty to President Trump, gain additional exposure in a high-density population, and put the nail in the coffin for Democrats in their former stronghold.

Despite the anxiety it brings to the Republican Club, the unique nature of Miami-Dade shows how the MAGA message attracts a deep and wide coalition of working-class voters.  In a general sense, the electorate shift in Miami-Dade is indicative of a new Trump brand of the republican party, focused on economic outcomes and America-First.

In a separate article, the GOPe club members aligned with more acceptable form republican, specifically Governor Ron DeSantis, are angered that President Trump would extend his influence and rally support for Marco Rubio without requesting prior approval and unity with the Florida governor.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Former President Donald Trump is coming to Miami just two days before Election Day. But one Republican won’t be there — Gov. Ron DeSantis. Not yet anyway.

Trump on Wednesday said he’ll hold a rally with Sen. Marco Rubio on Nov. 6. DeSantis was left off the announcement and an adviser to the former president said the Florida governor is not attending.

The apparent snub angered some people within DeSantis’ orbit, who complained that the Florida governor’s team was not informed of the rally prior to Trump announcing it. The timing of the Trump and Rubio event means any campaign event DeSantis holds that day won’t get as much attention during the all-important final stretch of the 2022 midterms.

“You’ve got the Sunday before Election Day totally hijacked by Trump parachuting in on Trump Force One taking up the whole day,” said a longtime Republican consultant who is close to the governor. “No Republican could go to a DeSantis event that day. None. And DeSantis won’t be here? This is big.”

Another person who is influential in DeSantis’ world said it was “an elbow to Ron’s throat” and blamed Trump advisers. (read more)

The Florida rally announcement comes on the heels of Ron DeSantis endorsing anti-MAGA Colorado candidate Joe O’Dea, a republican who promised to campaign against President Trump and any MAGA candidate who supports him.

The complaining DeSantis 2024 organizers are a mixture of allied republican establishment figures, corporate party donors and former Ted Cruz base supporters (Never Trumpers) who have united in common cause to stop the MAGA working-class coalition from taking full control of the republican party.

When DeSantis went into the bunker on the day of the FBI Mar-a-Lago raid, remained silent for 5 days, and then exited bunker with a new establishment brand image crew and communications team, it was obvious what happened.  We accept things as they are, not as we would wish them to be.

Governor Ron DeSantis is 94% funded by Wall Street hedge fund managers, billionaires and multinational corporations,… to the tune of over $200,000,000….. with a national campaign launch, book launch and national television advertising strategy….  The national campaign is brutally obvious.

Ron DeSantis in 2024 is Jeb Bush + Ted Cruz in 2016.

  • Five Days in Bunker following Mar-a-Lago Raid 8/9/22
  • No expressed support for Donald Trump following Mar-a-Lago raid 8/9/22.
  • New brand image consulting team 8/14/22
  • New communications team 8/14/22
  • National advertising campaign
  • 94% billionaire and corporate funding
  • Raised $200+ million for a state governor race?
  • Cancels Lee Zeldin fundraiser after meeting with New York real estate donor who supports Hochul
  • Endorsed by Club For Growth (C4G)
  • Voted to support TPP trade agreement and Obama Fast Track trade authorization
  • Supports all Ukraine funding and U.S. government spending in Ukraine
  • Endorsed Florida Red Flag Laws, most firearm confiscation of any state
  • Silent over the 100 Florida citizen J6 detainees (largest number in nation)
  • Asked legislature to criminalize boycotts of Israeli companies, including pharmaceutical companies
  • No support for E-verify system or employment law against illegal alien hires
  • Endorsed by Paul Ryan
  • Endorsed by Jeb Bush
  • Refused to answer question about filling his full term as governor if reelected.

.

Ron DeSantis is a generally good governor, and he has full support from a GOP controlled state legislature; but only time will tell if he is dishonest in his national intents.  Every Floridian should vote for Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, granting him the benefit of the doubt that he will be around as governor for the next four years.   However, if/when DeSantis wins reelection, he would destroy his own career by announcing a 2024 presidential bid six months later.

Had Ron DeSantis stated his intention to fully serve his entire term as the Republican governor of Florida, I doubt President Trump would be sending shots across GOPe bow.

Techfiltration

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 27, 2022 | sundance

Just a quick notice and alert to highlight some common technological ‘glitches’ and occurrences that are appearing around the internet, coincidentally timed as a result of the pending 2022 midterm election.

By now everyone is familiar with Big Tech control mechanisms like blocking, shadow banning, downgrading and throttling.

Essentially, these are methods within the technology space that are designed to influence opinion and block access to information and communication adverse to the ideology of the provider(s).

Most often we associate those terms with social media platforms; however, within the infrastructure of the internet itself the same intent is also carried in various forms you might not be familiar with.  I am seeing a lot of deployed control systems triggered recently, it is worth mentioning in case you notice something different.

Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) are increasingly directing your background internet travels and blocking you from access to content they define as against their interest.  Major players in the field of providing online access (comcast, Xfinity, AT&T, etc.) as well as regional operators also have a vested ideological stake.  If you find yourself having difficulty navigating the internet, especially during this election season, be aware the ISP provider could be in control.

Cell phone communication networks also have the ability to control data transmitted through their systems.  Text messages containing links to unapproved or dissident websites can be blocked by code and algorithms assigned to monitor traffic.   Phone browsers and portable internet hot spots may also be controlled by the provider.  You may not be aware, but your agreement with your cell phone provider gives them the ability to filter data on your device according to their individual standard.

Again, just be aware.

Browsers are also major players in the field of filtering information and controlling user behavior.  It could be as subtle as an image or link not appearing for you, or it could be total blocking of traffic to website destinations they have defined as adverse to their interests.   Large activist organizations provide lists of websites and content to feed into the filtration system.   Just be aware your browser may indeed be controlling your content and as a result controlling your perspective.

The obvious issues with internet search engines (google, duck-duck etc.) are well documented, however increasingly Apps and authorized software additions to your devices come with mechanisms to control what information may be visible to you.   This is where the terms “disinformation”, “misinformation” and “malinformation” become useful tools to justify the interception and blocking of your activity.

Sometimes the network may provide a warning or pop-up in their effort to stop you from reaching the information they want to control, but increasingly it just happens in the background, and you have no idea.   This is one of the unspoken benefits in the “cookie” system.  In addition to providing direct advertising experiences based on your browsing history, you as a user, may be identified as a dissident voice and assigned a label within the same cookie identification process.

Most people who use the internet have no idea a unique label has been assigned to them in the virtual space. Those labels can be grouped together and contained within the control systems of cyberspace.

Increasingly the techfiltration process has become a Staziesque public-private partnership.   You can well imagine what happens when the people in control of technological systems have an ideological mission to shape public opinion, simultaneous with the government people who define dis-mis-and malinformation delivering requests from the FBI and DHS to the technological partners who control the techfiltration process.

The bottom line, just be aware that information you may choose to access, research or share, is heavily controlled by the providers you select to facilitate your online information and communication networks.  You are likely right now blocked from accessing information and have no idea it’s happening.

If you cannot reach a website, see an image, view a page, or navigate a system, it’s likely not anything you are doing wrong; most often it’s the result of a tech control system designed to keep you away from the data.  Additionally, valid information like emails or text messages are increasingly identified as spam or blocked completely by the email or cell phone service you have subscribed to.

All of this is just an fyi, because I happen to notice these types of curious conversations taking place with increased frequency right now.  Lots of people are wondering why they cannot access or see things.  These are likely not ‘glitches.’

All the best,

Comrade & Dissident, Sundance

Elon Musk Twitter Takeover Nears Completion, Banks Send Cash for Acquisition as Musk Clarifies Intent to Advertisers

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 27, 2022 | sundance

By all outward appearances the acquisition of the Twitter social media platform by billionaire Elon Musk looks like it is going through.

According to bank filings and financial transfer documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal {link}, the process to finalize the purchase is taking place.  Meanwhile Mr. Musk used the platform to notify Twitter advertiser of his intent in the purchase {link}:

The cleaving of information on social media and information platforms is already well underway. I doubt anything currently undertaken to slow that process will have any effect. In essence, the ideological Big Tech platforms removed half the potential discussion purposefully and with specific intent; that decision has created alternate platforms where a more honest non-woke conversation about issues and events takes place.

Corporate advertising is part of the attack vector controlled by professional activists who use threats, fear and intimidation to target any advertiser who might want to reach an audience on a platform not directly controlled by Google, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Big Tech in general.  Musk’s appeal to advertisers does nothing to stop organized left-wing political activist groups from continuing their onslaught against speech they disagree with.  In the modern era few, if any, large advertisers want to enter this mosh pit political brawl.

(Wall Street Journal) […] Mr. Musk describes himself as a “free speech absolutist” and has said Twitter should be more cautious about removing tweets or banning users.

Mr. Musk may have reasons to avoid any drastic changes to Twitter’s ad business. Twitter will take on $13 billion in debt in the deal. The online ad markets already are shaky, amid concerns about the economy, with Snap Inc. and Alphabet Inc. posting lower-than-expected revenue results for the September quarter. (more)

The extreme left-wing mob that occupies space on the internet, along with the corporate media who align with the mob, view the ideological battle as a zero-sum war.  Speech that stands in opposition to their efforts is labeled as violence, while violence that supports their efforts is defined as speech.  They are not going to stop attacking just because Elon Musk appeals to reason or humanity.

Most modern leftists appear, at least from what is openly visible, to hold extremely unstable dispositions.  Their arguments are weak and full of hypocrisy.  As a result, when challenged their initial response is an emotional attack -often filled with vitriol and hate- because they have defined themselves by their belief system.  The COVID-19 vaccination fiasco highlights for many of us the scale of the number of people who have lost connection to logic and discernment.

A person who willingly took the COVID-19 vaccination was in a no-retreat position.  Presenting information that runs counter to their baseline assumptions was futile, they had no way to exit or reverse the decision.  The ideological debate on social media is fraught with the same dynamic.  When people define themselves, define their purpose, through an ideological belief system, it is almost impossible to establish communication.

The conservative believes man is born free and will be who he is, no matter what arbitrary limitations or rules are put on him. The leftist believes man is perfectible, and by extension, believes a society at large is perfectible, and command and control are justified in the quest to a “perfect” utopian society. (Sound familiar?)

The conservative tends to be more faithful – and not necessarily in God, but in the ability of the individual to find great strength in himself (or from his God) to get what he needs and to be successful. Therefore, the conservative has an outlet for his fear and disappointment – trust and faith in something bigger.

The leftist believes the system must be perfected in order to enable success. Therefore, disappointment is channeled as anger and blame at the system. Voids are left to be filled by faith in the govt, which they surely then want to come in and “fix” things.  And therein lies the roots of love and fear respectively.

For the conservative, when life presents great struggles, he knows he has the power to surmount them. Happiness stems from internal strength and perseverance. For the modern leftist, when life presents great struggles, the system failed, therefore they were at the mercy of a faulty system, and they believe that only when the system is fixed can their life improve. Happiness is built on systemic contingencies, which they will then seek to control or expect someone else to.

One holds himself accountable for his/her success in life.  The other blames anyone and everyone but him or herself.

And there it is…. There’s where the hate and violence come from.

The leftist ideology causes that person to cast anger at the world when things go wrong or appear “unfair.” He/she constantly chooses only to see the “injustices” – and that makes for a very miserable, mean, blame-casting existence.
