Those who understand the long history of Mitch McConnell as a Machiavellian-minded Senate Leader well understand how this is playing out.
John Thune’s prior endorsement of Donald Trump sets the stage. Nikki Haley withdrawing from opposition to Donald Trump, on behalf of the financial and professional political class who underwrote her effort, was a transparent predicate.
Now comes the Machiavellian leverage move by Senate Leader Mitch McConnell, who falsely positions his support without conditions as a lull toward a duplicitous intent.
In the background, the DeceptiCon move will be to support something akin to California Democrat Senate candidate Adam Schiff as an installment move within the upper chamber.
Schumer/McConnell planning for Thune’s installation with an agreement to acquiesce appointment of Schiff to replace SSCI Chair Mark Warner as a background move to impede the threat that a successful Trump reelection represents.
That’s the type of senatorial ploy we should expect.
If MAGA has not learned these lessons by now, then nothing has been learned about the nature of opposition. That is simply the way of the UniParty Senate.
(Via ABC News) – Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, a longtime critic of Donald Trump and a frequent target, on Wednesday endorsed him in the 2024 presidential race.
“It is abundantly clear that former President Trump has earned the requisite support of Republican voters to be our nominee for President of the United States,” McConnell said in a statement Wednesday, just after Nikki Haley suspended her campaign.
“It should come as no surprise that as nominee, he will have my support,” McConnell added. “During his Presidency, we worked together to accomplish great things for the American people including tax reform that supercharged our economy and a generational change of our federal judiciary – most importantly, the Supreme Court.”
“I look forward to the opportunity of switching from playing defense against the terrible policies the Biden administration has pursued to a sustained offense geared towards making a real difference in improving the lives of the American people.”
Advisers close to Trump and McConnell had been in talks for six weeks over an endorsement, sources confirmed to ABC News, as well as an overall strategy to unite Republicans to win back the Senate in November.
The conversations between the two campaigns went through a single channel: Chris LaCivita, a top campaign adviser to Trump and Josh Holmes, a longtime political strategist to McConnell. (read more)

The Biden Administration implemented a new rule that will cap credit card late fees at $8. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has praised the measure, estimating it will save Americans over $10 billion annually in late fees, or around $220 annually per person as 45 million Americans have experienced these fees within the last year, but this measure may be more harmful than helpful.
Credit card debt in America is at an all-time high of nearly $1.13 trillion and continues to rise as around 56 million Americans carry credit card debt. The typical late fee payment is around $32, but this is merely the fee for missing a payment and does not account for compounded interest. It seems like common sense, but one must realize that the average person is not financially literate. The concept of basic finance is not a mandatory requirement for the public education system, leading many people to live off debt, well beyond their means, with no chance of recuperating. America has the leading median level of credit card debt among all developed nations. There is a widespread belief that one can afford certain goods if they are approved for a line of credit, which only benefits the banks.
Now, the banks are certainly profiting on late fees, which account for about 15% of credit card profits based on the CFPB’s 2021 Consumer Credit Card Market Report. Do these fees deter reckless spending? A 2022 ABA-led survey found that 46% of respondents said they made it a priority to pay off their credit cards on time to avoid late fees. That particular study found that a fee of $10 was enough to redirect one’s attention to their financial obligations. Another study by the Harris Poll and NerdWallet found that Americans were more likely to make a payment of their cards if a $30 fee was implemented.
Again, one must understand that the average person cannot compute the cost of compounding interest. Borrowing money is not a legal right and should be done with the utmost caution. Simply forgetting or dismissing financial obligations has consequences.
The banks will find a way to profit off the people in other ways. It is the nature of banking. Rob Nichols, the president and CEO of the American Bankers Association, explained that other measures could be implemented that will hurt everyone. “The Bureau’s misguided decision to cap credit card late fees at a level far below banks’ actual costs willforce card issuers to reduce credit lines, tighten standards for new accounts and raise APRs for all consumers – even those who pay on time,” Nichols said. This is yet another Biden Admin policy favoring the financially irresponsible at the expense of others.
So, what is the CFPB recommending as an alternative? CBDC. The agency is first suggesting digitizing banking so that consumers have instant access to their credit scores and spending habits. Again, these numbers are disregarded by a portion of the population. The agency is patronizing all Americans by stating we are not intelligent enough to know when to pay off our monthly debts without digital notifications and reminders.
Financial literacy is desperately needed in America. So, while the Biden Administration is breaking its arm patting itself on the back for this surface-level win for the everyday man, the ruling does nothing to combat the growing personal debt crisis.

QUESTION: Thank you so much for your in-depth analysis on the legal front. With your latest post, I assume that our vote may not count in the end. Congress will refuse to certify a Trump victory, calling him an insurrectionist because the Supreme Court held that only Congress can pass legislation to address that disqualification. That means that there would have to be turmoil for if Congress all flipped to the Democrats, they would have to pass legislation and then the president has to sign it. But they would take office the same day Trump does. Do you have any thoughts on this? I see the Constitutional Crisis you referred to.

ANSWER: It would have been nice if the Supreme Court ruled on the insurrection allegation. But if Colorado, Maine, Illinois, and any other Marxist state usurped jurisdiction they did not have, that ended the inquiry. If you read Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s separate opinion, she points out the problem with the Democratic-appointed Justices. True, they had to agree that Colorado had no jurisdiction even to decide the case, much less charge him. The majority wrote:
“We conclude that States may disqualify persons holding or attempting to hold state office. But States have no power under the Constitution to enforce Section 3 with respect to federal offices, especially the Presidency.”
This was correct, or a single state could interfere in a federal election that would violate the civil rights of everyone else in the country. There was absolutely nothing in the Constitution that delegated to the States any power to enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment against federal officeholders and candidates. The three Democrat-appointed justices—Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, and Ketanji Brown Jackson- wrote that the majority went too far. What Justice Barrett points out is that their rhetoric was inflammatory.
The Democratic dissenters are a forwarding of the Constitutional Crisis to come. They said the ruling “shuts the door on other potential means of federal enforcement” and that “we cannot join an opinion that decides momentous and difficult issues unnecessarily.” They even added, “Although we agree that Colorado cannot enforce Section 3, we protest the majority’s effort to use this case to define the limits of federal enforcement of that provision.”
The dissenters are arguing that Section 3 is self-executing, in which case the Democrats will rally to their words and REFUSE to certify a Trump victory. The majority said Congress must pass legislation. So the Constitutional Crisis will erupt when the Democrats refuse to certify Trump leaving Biden in office, and then the whole thing goes back to the courts.
Justice Barret saw this crisis unfolding. She wrote: “In my judgment, this is not the time to amplify disagreement with stridency,” she said, adding that “particularly in this circumstance, writings on the Court should turn the national temperature down, not up.”She also issued a warning. “For present purposes, our differences are far less important than our unanimity: All nine Justices agree on the outcome of this case. That is the message Americans should take home,” she wrote, referring to the dissenting minority.”
So many markets are starting to show Panic Cycles between September and November. This Constitutional Crisis will come in January 2025 over the certification of the vote. The country is so divided, and the Democrats have expended all their energy on hating Trump. This hatred is not so unlike the period encompassing the Social War of Rome, about 40 years before Caesar was forced to cross the Rubicon. When the Marius faction seized control, they simply executed all the supporters of their opposition – Sulla. The hatred of Trump is so intense it is reminiscent of the Social War period.
Today, the Democrats will reject the vote no matter what. They will claim that the 14th Amendment is self-executing and refuse to certify Trump without passing any legislation. They will point to the language of these three Democrats on the Court. That means the entire decision if January 6th was an insurrection or not will become the turning point.
When I look at the long-term timing arrays, we have back-to-back Yearly Directional Changes 2024/2025. If the Democrats pull that trick, they will clearly destroy the confidence in the United States, the rule of law, and the foundation of everything. Even when we turn to the US government 30-year bonds, 2024 is a Directional Change. Everything is poised for a major Constitutional Crisis, pretty much like Rome.
COMMENT: Marty, the Supreme Court bought your argument that there is no subject matter jurisdiction for the states to remove Trump from the ballot. Even the Democrats on the Court unanimously agreed that states do not have the authority to enforce Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment. You were right.

REPLY: If this had not been political nonsense, it was a case that should have been dismissed as frivolous. A court is supposed FIRST to determine if it has the jurisdiction to hear the case. This was such a biased maneuver by those who brought the actions and the judges involved that it illustrates more than anything how BROKEN and MORALLY CORRUPT our legal system has become. It is no more trustworthy today than it was in Rome before the fall.
As I submitted to the Court, there cannot be such jurisdiction to allow one state to prejudice a national election for all. Under the precedents, those involved committed a crime because their motive was to interfere in the 2024 election. These people are only concerned on winning at all costs and to keep the prospect for war alive. They advocated the overthrow of the government, which is the very thing they have accused Trump of.
As I wrote to the Court, allowing a single state to interfere in a national election undermines the very structure of the Constitution. One rogue state cannot block everyone else in the country from voting. Elections are for the people to decide – not backroom deals and conspiracys of bureaucrats seeking to retain power.
Even the concurring opinion of Sotomayor agreed there is no state jurisdiction to enforce the 14th Amendment. She wrote:
“Allowing Colorado to do so would, we agree, create a chaotic state-by-state patchwork, at odds with our Nation’s federalism principles. That is enough to resolve this case.”
“The American people have the power to vote for and elect candidates for national office, and that is a great and glorious thing. “

One of the basic rules of war is that you always keep two fronts going simultaneously. The first is the obvious battlefield. However, the second is communication. Suppose you DO NOT keep communication open through the back channels. In that case, there is NEVER the possibility of PEACE, and the war then becomes concluded only when one side is obliterated. This is what has taken place, and the demonizing of Putin is HIGHLY dangerous, for it shows there is no intention of peace. You cannot keep calling someone a piece of shit publicly and then expect the people to accept a reversal of that policy.
Demonizing an opponent is to create hatred that leads your troops to be willing to die for some greater good. Field Marshall Goring explained it well when he was on trial at Nuremberg. You always denounce the peacemakers as conspiracy theorists, or as Nuland is calling the anti-war Republicans – “Putin’s wing of the Republican Party.” Victoria Nuland is the real Commander & Chief, not Biden, who is directing this war. She has made clear that she has absolutely no intention of stopping the war. The Neocons have spent their entire lives drooling at the thought of conquering Russia and China. When Communism fell, they never changed their view. When Ronald Reagan wanted to meet with Gorbachev, sensing that Russia wanted to end Communism, the Neocons objected, and I can tell you they told him, “You can never trust a Russian.” Reagan refused to listen and met with Gorbachev, and the Berlin Wall collapsed.
There was a peace deal that this war would have been over in 6 weeks. Putin withdrew his troops from the outskirts of Kiev as a sign of good faith that the deal would be that Zelensky would have secured the rights of the people in the Donbas and agreed not to join NATO. Putin agreed to withdraw all his troops from the occupied region in return for that agreement.
The Neocons sent Boris Johnson to kill that peace deal, proving that the West, from the outset, wanted this war they spent time to create. Since then, 500,000 Ukrainians have died, countless millions have fled Ukraine, and now sending more arms will not matter if there is nobody there left standing to fight.
This is why Zelensky fired Ukraine’s top commander, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, over his objection to the offensive and the astronomical health toll. Zelensky told the truth and initiated a draft for 500,000 fresh troops. Zaluzhnyi warned that Ukraine could not defeat Russia. The conflict with Russia had become a stalemate for months. Zaluzhnyi was very popular with the troops, and firing him was a major mistake that Zelensky, lacking any military experience, thought a general could just order people to die with no repercussions. Zelenskyy appointed the commander of Ukraine’s ground forces, Col. Gen. Oleksandr Syrskyi, to lead the army, which was a sharp blow to the morale of the troops.
Syrskyi has been instrumental in Ukraine’s biggest successes during the war, including overseeing the defense of the capital in the early days of the invasion. Syrskyi was born in 1965 in the village of Novinki, Vladimir Oblast, Russian SFSR, then in the Soviet Union, into a military family of ethnic Russians. As of 2023, his parents and brother live in Russia. This demonstrates how intermixed the entire Ukraine is with ethnic Russians as Ukrainians today. I have reported previously that Kruschev grew up there and rebuilt Kiev after World War II. He merely reassigned Crimea to be administered by Kiev when it was part of Russia. Then, his successor, Brezhnev, was born in the Donbas.
The geopolitical situation concerning the Ukraine war will catalyze World War III. Historians said Europe, with its alliances, stumbled into World War I. The same is unfolding here in the 21st century. Political leaders make decisions on the immediate event without ever even thinking about what will be the next step.
This Ukrainian War is very much intertwined with the rise of China as an economic and Military superpower. Ukraine has become the stomping ground concerning the rivalry of the three great powers: the United States, Russia, and China.
The Ukraine war has triggered a completely new dynamic in the relationship between these great powers with respect to this rivalry. What is being overlooked here is that China, and not Russia, is capable of replacing the United States as the leading world economic and military power, as we warned several years ago, back in 2011 and 2018. Our model projected that China would eventually replace the United States as the leading economic power.
A number of people did not like that forecast, but my job was to present the UNBIASED projections of the computer. I have grandkids. I hate to see the future we are leaving behind. This is the data from the Federal Reserve. The differential peak occurred in 2006 with a premium of $1.3 trillion. Even since then, China has been growing in leaps and bounds, and it may even surpass the US in the 2025/2026 period and reach a peak by 2032.
All I can do is show the trend and provide the timing as to when this will unfold. This war that the Neocons are hell-bent on launching will destroy the United States in the process. The risk of dissent and even a separatist movement because of their demonizing Trump and everyone who voted for him is causing a major divide. Even Jamie Dimon has warned the Democrats this hatred they hurl at Trump is dividing the country and our model shows the separatist movement is rising. Even more than one-third of Alaskans want to separate from the USA now.
The immediate American National Security Strategy confirms the forecast we made back in 2011 and 2018 that the People’s Republic of China is the only competitor that intends to reshape the international order economically while its political government increasingly possesses the diplomatic, military, and technological power to propel and fulfill Beijing’s ambitions to create an extended sphere of influence in the Indo-Pacific region. Eventually, China will become the world’s leading economic and military power.
This is why, in the Ukraine War, the United States Neocons aimed to weaken Russia, its second geopolitical rival, politically, economically, and militarily. Then, they intend to focus on the confrontation with China, their formidable and biggest adversary. To achieve their strategic goal, the Neocons have sought close cooperation with Europe and pushed NATO to expand to Asia.
Under this new Chancellor of Germany, his visit to Washington demonstrated that Germany was apparently ready to take on a leadership role in the Ukrainian Proxy War. However, NATO intends to bring the European allies involved in a future conflict with China together with Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and South Korea. This is the planned Indo-Pacific network of partners and allies against China. There is reason to infer that Macron’s recent statement to send Troops into Ukraine may be more of a rivalry with Germany for the lead role.
This may seem a wise move on the surface by the Neocons first to take down Russia, which they perceive to be the weaker of the two geopolitical rivals. Secondly, they will launch another Proxy War using Taiwan for canon fodder rather than directly confront China, which is clearly the stronger opponent.
I believe that the Neocons are making a huge mistake by opening a strategic military two-front confrontation against China and Russia, which is a ticking nuclear time bomb that will engulf the entire world. North Korea is producing arms for Russia, and it has instructed its army to “grid for war.” North Korea has a deal manufacturing ammunition for Russia. In return, Russia is providing the desperately needed food for North Korea.
This Proxy War in Ukraine was a turning point for Europe as a whole, for everyone behind the curtain knew it was foolish to think that Ukraine would defeat Russia. This was merely a propaganda pitch the mainstream press was fed and ran with to the detriment of the Ukrainian people. As I have pointed out, it is a psychological tactic to demonize your opponent to get the people to then hate them and apply that image to all people associated with them being in a country or politicos. It is working when you see CNN claimed journalists using hate language to describe Putin.
Zelensky has routinely lied about the casualties to keep up the propaganda. This demonstrates the determination behind this propaganda over the last two years, rendering it understandable when one knows that Germany plays a particularly important role on the geopolitical chessboard of the United States. For years, the unspoken fear was the union of Germany and Russia, which would be a formidable match of industrial production with Russia’s limitless raw materials resources. A union of Russia and Germany would represent the only power that could threaten the United States economically in that sphere comparable to China’s.
This places Macron’s shocking proposition to send NATO troops into Ukraine to appear to be taking the lead from Germany, but also because Ukraine cannot survive. The fall of Ukraine undermines this entire strategy and exposes the flaws in the goals of the Neocons. Russia never intended to conquer Ukraine. Putin only sent in 190,000 troops when Ukraine had nearly 500,000 trained by the West. The fact that Putin’s troops reached Kiev in the first weeks demonstrated the superiority of the Russian military. Sending Western troops into Ukraine, as Macron proposed, would be insane, for then it is a direct confrontation without any communication for peace.
Macron even said, “Nothing should be excluded.“ He also added: “There is no consensus at this stage.” However, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico suggested that “a number of NATO and EU member states are considering that they will send their troops to Ukraine on a bilateral basis.”He did not offer many details, saying he could not specify why the troops would be sent and their mission.
As I warned, sending in NATO troops to Ukraine will be a Declaration of War. Putin came out and warned that Western nations “must realize that we also have weapons that can hit targets on their territory.” He added: “All this really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons and the destruction of civilization. Don’t they get that?” Putin has been criticized at home by the hardliners that he has been a fool and that this has been a war really with the USA and NATO.
I have been warning for the past two years that the prospect of creating World War III BEFORE the 2024 election was a reality. The Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, has called it like it is. He is warning that the West is on the ” edge of the abyss ” of World War Three. Lukashenko has made it clear that he has “legitimate concerns” about the likelihood of a global conflict and accused the West of fuelling war tensions and pushing the world towards disaster. I cannot disagree. The F16s were for defense, and now NATO has lifted all restrictions.
“We are literally covered with an information wave of the so-called premonition of the third world war, which just a lazy one still hasn’t mentioned. And there are grounds for these fears,” Lukashenko said, according to Sky News.
Besides Macron, NATO is pushing for war, altering the terms of handing Ukraine weapons for defense to outright invasion of Russia. The head of NATO approved Ukraine to to use the F16s to fly into Russia and start bombing their cities as a deliberate provocation, praying Russia would attack so they could call them the aggressor. All they have to do is honor the Minsk Agreement, and the war will end in 24 hours. These people are filled with such hatred it is beyond description.
Let’s make it very clear. Ukraine has been destroyed, and Zelensky has so much blood on his hands it will never wash off. Ukraine cannot launch any offensive. They are pulling back and now seeking to defend themselves. They have surrendered, and they hope to retake the Donbas; and Russia is likely to take Odesa – where the Ukrainians started the civil war and the whole separatist movement by slaughtering and Russian speaking Ukrainians burning them alive in the Trade Union Building in 2014, pushing their old Nazi position of ethnic cleansing.
The Neocons should take a lesson from the Romans, who knew that war’s outcome was never 100% assured. Their god, Janus, represented the beginning and ending of conflict – war and peace. In ancient Rome, the Temple of Janus stood in the Roman Forum with doors on both ends and inside was a statue of Janus, who is always represented as the two-faced god after whom January is named. So when we celebrate New Year’s Eve, we say goodbye to the past and hello to the future, which is a concept stemming from Janus.
The Gates of the Temple of Janus were the main purpose behind the Temple itself, for it tied together warfare and religious tradition. The opening and closing of the gates were to symbolize either wartime or peace. The historian Virgil said the gates held in Discord and Fury inside the Temple during peace. When the Gates were open, this let the discord free, whereby the historian Horace inferred that if Janus himself was kept locked in the temple, then there was peace. During the reign of Augustus, it was said that the doors were shut three times – Pax Romana.
These Neocons should ponder the question: What if I am wrong? They, like Zelensky, will destroy the West and render it subservient to China in the end.
After the fall of Rome, Byzantium became the major power. When they fell in 1453, the power shifted to India, the source of all the Spice Trade. Their main rival was China, and they eventually overtook India as the Financial Capital of the World. Europe undermined them as the British conquered India and then China. But World War I and II shifted that laurel wreath to the United States. The Neocons have invited war and opened the Gates to let Discord and Flury run freely to engulf the world. This time, the laurel wreath will pass to China. Nothing ever lasts forever.

The media could not hide the damning report provided by Special Council Robert Hur. The world knows that President Joe Biden was determined unfit to stand trial, reduced to “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” This merely scratches the surface of what the report found regarding Biden’s mental competency.
Interestingly, Biden, who has propelled America into two global conflicts, firmly opposed sending more troops to Afghanistan. As noted on pages 117-118, the Democrats became divided on the issue. “On one side, Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Mullen, and General David Petraeus supported McChrystal’s call for a counterinsurgency campaign and for significantly more American troops in Afghanistan. 190 On the other side, Mr. Biden and a number of National Security Council and other White House advisers were deeply skeptical of these proposals.” Furthermore, Biden called lobbying efforts for additional troops, “fucking ridiculous” and believed “Obama was poised to repeat the disastrous mistakes of Vietnam.”
There is much speculation over the infamous Thanksgiving memo, a handwritten letter by Joe Biden addressed to then-President Obama. Biden was contemplating stepping down as vice president over the war:
“Tomorrow the President is going to make a fateful decision regarding Afghanistan - as I sat looking out the window at the sea - thinking I should resign in protest over will bring his administration down. Although I obviously there I feel like this is what it must have felt like for Kennedy then Johnson in the early days of VTN [Vietnam]. I feel guilty and boxed in myself. Guilty not having been more successful w/ the President - and staying. Boxed in by knowing or at least feeling that my resignation would only harden his position and leave him with one less voice.”
Long-term aide Ron Klain reiterated that in 2009, Biden feared a second Vietnam and did not want to send “tens of thousands of Americans over to a pointless war.”
The man that Joe Biden was during that time no longer exists. He is not competent to form his own opinions and has become a complete puppet of the establishment that is taking advantage of a man in severe mental decline. The report states that his biggest fear was “an open-ended American commitment,” which is precisely what the US is offering Ukraine, albeit the Big Guy was not profiting off of the war in Afghanistan.
Joe Biden may have once been a “well-meaning” man. He once stood against Obama and the establishment before he was no longer of sound mind. I will refer to the most damaging piece of evidence on page 208 of the special report.
“In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden's memory was worse. He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended ("if it was 2013 - when did I stop being Vice President?"), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began ("in 2009, am I still Vice President?"). 839 He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died. And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him. Among other things, he mistakenly said he "had a real difference" of opinion with General Karl Eikenberry, when, in fact, Eikenberry was an ally whom Mr. Eiden cited approvingly in his Thanksgiving memo to President Obama.”
This is highly troubling and downright sad. Joe Biden was unable to recall when he served as vice president “even within several years.” The pain of losing a child is unmeasurable. Any parent would recall the precise date that their child left this world. Biden is suffering from a serious form of dementia but is expected to hold the most crucial office in the US government.
The man who once opposed senseless, endless wars is no longer with us. The establishment is in full control of the US government, and we do not have a president. The man Joe Biden was in 2009 no longer exists. Although Biden considered stepping down from office as vice president, I seriously doubt the establishment would allow him to back away now. I believe they have countless blackmail on him and his family. He would never be permitted to walk away alive.

Hunter Biden spent 6 hours testifying on Capitol Hill Wednesday and giving obtuse answers to questions from a joint panel from the House Oversight and House Judiciary Committee.
Within his testimony Hunter Biden consistently blamed his drug addiction for his memory lapses and suggested he was often too high/stoned to recall events. Within the testimony he claimed to have attempted to kill himself ‘on a daily basis.’
The majority of the questioning surrounded his father Joe Biden’s involvement in various payment schemes that were part of the foreign businesses Hunter was responsible for handling. WASHINGTON — First son Hunter Biden corroborated many of the core facts in what Republicans say is a constellation of interactions between Joe Biden and his offspring’s foreign partners that shows Hunter and his uncle James were selling access to their powerful relative.
The 54-year-old’s closed-door impeachment inquiry testimony was released Thursday — just a day after he sat for questions about President Biden’s recurring role in lucrative foreign business relationships.
Hunter maintained that his 81-year-old father was not corrupt and that his own abuse of alcohol and drugs was to blame for many of the appearances to the contrary in business ventures that often at points involved first brother James Biden. “The pattern that I see is that you literally have no evidence whatsoever of any corruption on the part of my father,” Hunter said during a heated exchange with Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Texas).
“And, therefore, what you’re trying to do is, you’re trying to make every single thing in business that I was ever involved in somehow corrupt.”
However, Hunter did verify that there were two dinners at Washington’s Cafe Milano in 2014 and 2015 where Joe Biden mixed with his Kazakhstani, Russian and Ukrainian patrons — including Burisma board adviser Vadym Pozharskyi, whose company paid Hunter a $1 million salary beginning in 2014 as his father spearheaded US policy toward Ukraine.
