California Spent Nearly $10B on Migrant Health Care

California has the largest deficit in the nation under FAILED Governor Gavin Newsom. California Legislature’s budget set the figure at $46.8 billion, while the Legislative Analyst’s Office (LAO) believes the deficit is an astounding $68 billion. State revenue is on the decline. Businesses and citizens alike have fled Newsom’s oppressive taxes. The government continues to create endless spending packages that do not benefit Californians. A recent report revealed a source of California’s woes—migrant health care.

“In the current year, to cover undocumented individuals in Medi-Cal, we’re spending $9.5 billion total funds,” replied a CDOF official, who said $8.4 billion of that comes from the state’s general fund. Hospitals do not turn patients away and non-taxpaying, non-citizens, are taking advantage of the health care system that is struggling to maintain the new surplus of patients.

Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital CEO Dr. Elaine Batchlor noted that state funding projected around 30,000 patients annually to her 30-bed emergency room department. By 2023, that figure quadrupled with 76% of patients being on Medi-Cal. “We lose money on every one of those patient visits—a significant amount,” said Batchelor in a statement.  “As the volume grew and continues to grow, we began to lose more and more money.”

Newsom Gavin Gov Calif

The state is spending nearly $10 BILLION on health care costs for migrants at the expense of Californians who are already facing record-high taxation. All of these proposed state budgets were estimated before the wildfires. California Budget and Policy Center stated federal spending in California is estimated to be $171 billion this fiscal year, which is over one-third of the total $493 billion state and federal budget for the state. Again, they did not factor in the cost of rebuilding after the devastating fires.

Governor Newsom recently allocated $25 million to fight the Department of Justice to ensure migrants could continue to leech off of his constituents. Newsom would like to turn California into a sanctuary state for all migrants. His policies are the precise reason that capital is fleeing the state. He expanded Medi-Cal to include illegal migrants, with an expected 700,000 new beneficiaries. The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) believed the total cost to subsidize migrants was $31 billion annually as of 2023, but the true cost is far higher.

Virtue signaling is expensive. California’s state budget has exploded in the past five years, increasing by 63% to over $200 billion. In comparison, Florida’s budget increased by half that amount. I personally read through the LAO’s proposed budget for FY25-26. The report concluded that California is looking at “double-digit operating deficits in the years to come” as a result of reckless government spending. Again, this was BEFORE the wildfires!

Spending growth from 2025-26 to 2028-29 is 5.8%, above the average of 3.5%. Growth over the same period is just above 4%, “lower than its historical average largely due to policy choices that end during the forecast window. Taken together, we view it as unlikely that revenue growth will be fast enough to catch up to ongoing spending.”

The LAO clearly stated that GOVERNMENT SPENDING is destroying the state. The LAO suggests: “Legislature would need to address in the coming years, for example, by reducing spending, increasing taxes, shifting costs, or using more reserves. The magnitude of these deficits also indicates that, without other changes to spending or revenues, the state does not have capacity for new commitments.”

Newsom will continue to spend to spite the GOP. He does not know how to manage California’s once bolstering economy and is damaging national GDP through his brain-dead policies that help absolutely no one. Despite all his social programs, crime is through the roof and homelessness is rampant. He is prepared to continually tax his constituents and anyone who dares to conduct business in California.

GET THE HELL OUT OF CALIFORNIA OR PREPARE TO PAY FOR FAILED BLUE POLICIES!!

Orban v the European Union

Zelensky with EU leaders

Viktor Orban is comfortable being the most hated person in the room if it means standing up for the nation he vowed to lead. Hungary has repeatedly called for a ceasefire, claiming that additional funding is NOT what Ukraine needs. Brussels is attempting to strong-arm Orban into agreeing to the next multi-billion euro package. “Right now, I see 26 member states that are ready to accept the conclusions about Ukraine,” an EU diplomat said on Thursday afternoon.

The general consensus seems to be that the Union will move forward without a unanimous vote. Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said unanimity was “not the most important thing.” Neocon Kaja Kallas said Hungary can “speak for themselves” if they want to deny Ukraine aid. But that is precisely the problem—EU member states CANNOT speak for themselves because unelected officials in Brussels override them.

I am disappointed that Slovakia’s Robert Fico failed to support Hungary despite his numerous calls to halt funding amid the gas transit debacle AND the blatant corruption in Ukraine. Fico had previously stated he believed at least half the aid to Ukraine had been stolen. Still, Fico said that resolving the Bratislava gas transit deal would be sufficient enough for him to approve the next spending package. So now it is Orban standing alone against the rest of the EU.

Orban favors boosting Europe’s defenses but wants to focus on empowering individual members, which goes against the entire premise of the EU. “While we may disagree on the modalities of peace, we do agree that we must strengthen the defence capabilities of European nations, and these efforts should empower member states rather than Brussels bureaucrats,” Orban stated.

The bureaucrats in Brussels have silenced Orban. The next big summit will be held on March 20 and it seems as if consent is no longer needed. Ukraine First policies will be upheld no matter how it impacts actual members of the EU. Orban is not ready to leave the EU. Around 80% of Hungary’s total exports are to EU nations, with 70% coming from other EU nations. Around 28% of all exports go to Germany alone. Orban sees an EU exit as “tantamount to economic suicide.” I would not put it past the EU to implement sanctions, cut all funding, and even freeze assets if Hungary dared to leave. The nation is in an extremely tight spot and it seems as if Orban lost the backing of the only other EU leader prepared to fight for peace.

China Joining Russia Against NATO

I don’t think Starter understands. This is not marching into battle like in colonial days. Things have changed. The EU may be counting on fighting until the last Ukrainian, Romanian, and Polish, and then they can walk in and take Russia, but this is not shaping up as Europe thinks. Even North Korea has gained from the Ukrainian War. They are now learning an utterly new warfare game and are now up-to-date with knowledge about fighting a modern war with drones rather than jets flying overhead. According to our sources, North Korea has benefited tremendously from aiding Russia, not just by supporting its technological advances. Still, their troops are adapting to an entirely new warfare model that did not even exist during the Gulf War. North Korea has adapted to the rampant, cutting-edge drone warfare that has defined the conflict in Ukraine.

If nobody has noticed, we do not see dogfights with fighter jets in the air. Those are the days of World War I. Russia has developed glid bombs and does not put their planes at risk of Ukraine. Warfare nowadays is different from even WWII or Vietnam. Everyone thinks that nuclear weapons are no longer a deterrent because nobody will push the button. That is just not the case. You cannot move in for the kill; someone will not press the button.

Chin Russia Leaders Putin

I hate to point out, but China will commit any of its military forces to Russia’s war effort against NATO, for they are NOT stupid. Once the West took Russia, they would move against China. It is absurd to think that if NATO got involved in Ukraine, China would not join with Russia. Ukraine has told Newsweek that China is “not stupid.” Let’s get real: Ukraine puts out nothing but lies. They, of course, say to the press that for fear that NATO would not come in to destroy Russia. It is precisely the opposite. Trump has to keep the United States out of Europe’s death wish. There is absolutely no doubt that China and Russia will join together against NATO.
