Canada’s Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland resigned from her federal cabinet position. This may be perhaps the best thing that the Prime Minister has allegedly done for Canada. The fracturing of the left has become a contagion.
Freeland shared her resignation letter on social media platform X this Monday. “On Friday, you informed me that you no longer want me to serve as your Finance Minister and offered me another position in Cabinet. Upon reflection, I have concluded that the only honest and viable path is for me to resign from Cabinet,” she added.
The shocking announcement came right before she was set to address the House of Commons to present the fall economic statement. Tariffs. Trudeau and Freeland were deadlocked in a debate over how to handle Trump’s threat to impose a 25% tariff on all Canadian goods. Freeland believed the best-case scenario was to secure the Canadian border in an attempt to appease Trump, while Trudeau did not. Freeland said “costly political gimmicks” and “a coming tariff war” were reasons for her departure. Perhaps Trudeau has surpassed her in his alliance to the WEF.
“Her behavior was totally toxic and not at all conducive to making deals which are good for the very unhappy citizens of Canada. She will not be missed!!!!” Trump said, who has had a tumultuous relationship with Freeland. They say that she even refuses to stand in the same room as him.

Interesting discussion between Tucker Carlson and Jeffrey Sachs on the current state of geopolitical fluctuations and seemingly chaotic changes.
Mr. Sachs points to Israel and AIPAC as the originating control mechanism for U.S. foreign policy. Here I must insert my prior metaphor for the U.S State Dept and the CIA [The DC Restuarant]. According to Sachs much of the activity from within the State Dept is in alignment with the objectives of those who dine in the kitchen.
I do not necessarily disagree…. However, once you understand this dynamic; I mean really understand the complexity of the dynamic and how it represents a challenge to anyone who would seek to change policy direction; then you can find context for how President Donald Trump is organizing his foreign policy mission.
President Trump is circumventing the control mechanisms of the U.S. State Department –SEE HERE– And with that context, things take on an entire new perspective about the issues Sachs is describing.
While he accurately defines the problem, I’m not sure Sachs is seeing what President Trump is doing to cut the gordian knot {I’ll reexplain below}.

Only a small number of Americans understand the relationship between the U.S. State Dept (DoS) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). However, as more people understand how these two agencies operate, then people have a much more accurate context for how both agencies are viewed by the rest of the world.
Almost every deployed CIA operative has a cover profile within the State Dept. The foreign service missions of the DoS and CIA are so enmeshed there is literally no way to separate the functions of their agencies. [Go back to the Benghazi Attack for an operational reference] CIA/DoS have to be viewed through the prism of connection.
To better understand this concept, I use the following metaphor:
♦ The U.S State Dept and CIA operation is like a restaurant. The Dept of State is the front of the restaurant, with the Secretary as the Maitre D’. The CIA is the back of the restaurant, the kitchen. The Director is the Chef. The consulates are the wait staff. USAID are the food runners. The Dept of Defense are the bus boys.
The tables and chairs are assigned by the Maitre D’ according to their value. Countries viewed as more important get the best tables. The menus offered to each nation are completely different. Israel has a table in the kitchen. To get the best experience, tips (bribes) are required for everyone, from the parking valets outside, to the sommelier, to the server. Currently, Ukraine is the biggest tipper.
On the oversight aspect the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is the control mechanism to approve/install the Secretary of State. The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence is the control mechanism to approve/install the CIA Director. Everything therein and thereafter is a system of pretending it is something else.
The Dept of State (DoS) is so large there’s no way of addressing the inherent institutional corruption. The Secretary of State can control a small portion of DoS operations, but that’s usually only the geopolitical stuff we see discussed on television, in print media or in press conferences. The business functions of the DoS take place within a network of carefully guarded silos.
Perhaps, the first step in advancing an American-First policy, is to just stop the various administrative offices within the Dept of State from doing anything, literally anything. The challenge within DoS is massive, complex and complicated. I’m genuinely not sure what the Executive Branch mechanism is to do it, but we need to close the restaurant for a few months and do a deep cleaning.
On the back of the operation is the kitchen, the CIA.
It is a popular DC sentiment to say the CIA Director is the most powerful person within the intelligence apparatus. As the viewpoint is shared, it is the established secrecy within the mandate of the institution that gives them power.
Essentially, the CIA was created to be a place where dark arts (lying, spying, manipulation, tradecraft) would be approved and used at the discretion of the institutional leadership. As a consequence, there is no check on the CIA operational agenda. They are permitted by function and mandate, to lie to everyone about what they are doing; this includes the Office of the President.
Because they are essentially an unchecked intelligence silo within a government that has allowed the institution to hold unilateral power and self-policing, the CIA has a power within the apparatus unlike any other member. Inside the business model of foreign policy as a restaurant, the CIA are in control of the kitchen.
Together the DoS/CIA operate a shadow government, looking out for their best interest while generating power through large multinational institutions (corporations), spy agencies (5-eyes), banks, non-governmental agencies (NGAs) and various influence operations.
♦ The activity of the CIA/DoS construct takes place regardless of who is president. Any hope of busting up this corrupt system is going to take a lot of strategic pounding while confronting the supportive element within the Senate at the same time. [Note this is why repealing the 17th amendment would make the work infinitely easier – and also why the 17th amendment was created by banking interests.]
When you stand back and look at the challenge of confronting the DoS and CIA, you can easily see why the Emissary was the first most important person I noted. If you are going to confront the domestic corruption within the DoS, you need the Emissary as a contact for specific foreign government leaders.
Under my sketch, the foreign policy of the USA shifts away from Foggy Bottom [Rubio] and directly back to the White House [Trump]. This provides space to destroy the system through domestic confrontation.
Marco Rubio as Secretary of State would normally to have to push intensely and forcefully to support the goals of President Trump while simultaneously trying to shift control away from the kitchen diners. Literally impossible in one four-year term; so, what is the optimal solution?
Enter President Trump, building the parallel system. A new foreign policy construct that does not need support from the State Dept., Trump works around the issue.
Rubio doesn’t have Ukraine/Russia in his portfolio, nor does he have diplomatic or policy control over the Middle East. President Trump has neutered the State Department, and the cherry on the proverbial cake is Ric Grenell.
The CIA is replaced with a Presidential Intelligence Advisory Board. The Dept of State is replaced as above. Both operate as parallel systems.
We should all give him major credit. President Trump is actually doing it.
Justin from Canada will never resign, he doesn’t have the humility needed to abdicate power in the face of overwhelming defeat; he’s genuinely pathological and narcissistic. Instead, Trudeau will force Canadians to remove him from power. That way he can proclaim his victimhood. Watch, you will see.
Center-left Canadians (Ford) and Far-Left Canadians (Trudeau) genuinely believe that President Trump might annex Canada in a hostile takeover. They at least seriously pretend to their domestic audience that this reality is entirely possible.

The NATO war in Ukraine is essentially lost. Russia holds the strongest position against Kyiv and its supporters. President Donald Trump is set to take office in the USA raising new questions over Europeans’ trade relations, elimination of the Marshal Plan, and EU spending on their own common defense. Then add the slow-motion collapse of Trudeau’s Canadian government, and consider…
…Hungary has rebuked the Brussels control agenda. Georgia has rejected NATO and the EU’s manipulation. The government of France, essentially Germany’s most powerful partner leading the European Union, collapsed on a few short weeks ago. And now Germany, Europe’s largest economy, will be in the hands of a caretaker government until they can organize elections early next year.
When the control mechanisms of the totalitarian left fail, we see the machinery tremoring slowly, slowly, until suddenly, all at once it freezes.
GERMANY – The German government collapsed on Monday as Chancellor Olaf Scholz lost a confidence vote in Parliament, deepening a crisis of leadership across Europe at a time of mounting economic and security challenges.
[…] On Monday, German lawmakers voted to dissolve the existing government by a vote of 394 to 207, with 116 abstaining.
Coming just nine months before parliamentary elections had been scheduled to happen, the vote was an extraordinary moment for Germany. The elections, now expected on Feb. 23, will be only the fourth snap election in the 75 years since the modern state was founded. The moment reflects a new era of more fractious and unstable politics in a country long known for durable coalitions built on plodding consensus.
Mr. Scholz had little choice but to take the unusual step of calling for the confidence vote after his three-party coalition splintered in November, ending months of bitter internal squabbling and leaving him without a parliamentary majority to pass laws or a budget.
But the country’s political uncertainty is likely to last a month or more, with a new permanent government not forming until parties have agreed on a coalition, probably in April or May.
Seven parties will go into the campaign for Parliament with a realistic chance of gaining seats, and some on the political fringes — especially on the right — are poised for strong showings, according to polls. Mr. Scholz is widely expected to be ousted as chancellor (read more)

Those who followed the details of the U.S, Mexico and Canada trade agreement, can easily see how Chrystia Freeland was never going to be the right person for Canada to have as Finance Minister while they attempt to navigate President Trump’s economic policy again.
In fact, I would not be surprised if someone in Mar-a-Lago told Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau he needed to ice her out if Trudeau wanted to stand a chance of a relationship with Donald Trump. As many people noted during her gleeful confiscation of funds from the trucker protests, Deputy Prime Minister/Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland is a conniving, scheming, and all-around nasty piece of work.
In a posture akin to that sideways stare from Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction (“I’m not going to be ignored, Justin”) today turned some of that internal spite toward her boss, Justin Trudeau.
As noted by the New York Times, “Ms. Freeland, who has helped steer the Trudeau government through many challenges, had been playing a prominent role in forming Canada’s response to the incoming Trump administration, leading a team of government officials preparing for the transition.” And then there’s the part of her letter which says, “on Friday you told me you no longer wanted me to serve as your finance minister.”
Yep, apparently the Canadian Trade Team walking toward Team America-First just wasn’t going to work again. Or, put more accurately, no one around Trump-47 has time for the childish nonsense that Freeland brings with her everywhere. lolol
Pictured Above: The Canadian Trade Delegation arriving for negotiations, circa 2017.
Canadians, she said, “know when we are working for them, and they equally know when we are focused on ourselves.”
She said the breakdown with Mr. Trudeau came over his push for measures, including a sales tax holiday and sending modest checks to taxpayers, that would add to the government’s deficit.
She said she believed this spending, aimed at currying support among voters, would undermine Canada’s finances and its ability to deal with Mr. Trump’s tariff threat.
Ms. Freeland, who had been the finance minister, was scheduled on Monday to outline the government’s commitments to improve border security with the United States as part of an interim budget known as the economic statement. (read more)
From France in the EU to Canada in North America, the professional leftist governments are collapsing at a rapid pace; perhaps even on Trumpian time, and we are here to savor every moment.
Our Canadian brothers and sisters may even greet us as liberators.
…And just wait until we see the news from Germany today.

During a press conference to announce that Softbank will be investing $100 billion into U.S. manufacturing, tech and overall emerging technology in the USA, President Trump took dozens of questions.
Standing beside SoftBank’s chief executive, Masayoshi Son, at his Mar-a-Lago estate, Mr. Trump announced the anticipated investment likely to create 100,000 jobs. Mr. Son, 67, started SoftBank in Tokyo in 1981 and has built it into one of the largest technology investors in the world. His firm is known for high-profile wins and losses, and Mr. Son — commonly known as Masa — is known to grab headlines with both fund-raising and investments.
Following the announcement with Mr Son, President Trump took questions. WATCH:
.
President Trump politely asked the outgoing Biden administration for two requests:
(1) Stop selling the steel and rebar border wall hardware that President Trump previously purchased. Currently the Biden administration is selling the border wall cheap to anyone who wants to purchase. It’s a ridiculous waste of money.
(2) Stop telling federal workers they will not have to return to their offices. The Trump administration plans to require all federal employees to return to offices and report for work as assigned. There are estimates that only 1% of federal workers actually go to a workplace, the rest work from home.

President Trump was asked today during a lengthy press availability about the mystery of the drones appearing above New Jersey and New York.
As President Trump noted in his response, the government, the defense department, the White House and the outgoing President know exactly what is going on, yet they choose to keep the issue subjected to some mystery. “Something strange is going on,” Trump notes. WATCH:
.
Common sense will tell you; President Trump is correct. This is only a mystery for the ordinary American person. The government know exactly what these “mysterious drones” are, and what their purpose is.
