House Votes 220-211 to Approve Massive Government Expansion and Bailout Under Auspices of COVID Relief Bill

The $1.9 trillion blue state bailout bill has passed the House of representatives.  No republicans supported the bill in the House or senate. Unfortunately, the outcome as as we anticipated after the 2020 election {Go Deep}: “The Blue Team state bailout comes atop a massive 2020 COVID federal spending package. As with the previous 2009 spending package, it will be gift-wrapped in paper to appear like Main Street is a COVID relief beneficiary… However, just like the 2009 ARRA, there will be no ‘shovel ready jobs‘ saved or created.  It is all a ruse for a transfer of taxpayer wealth.”

The political institutions of the U.S.A. which have protected our constitutional republic for generations are collapsing.  The fourth estate, last line of defense media, has been fully compromised by years of manipulative ideological alignment with the progressive left.

The courts are under assault and federalism is tenuously positioned.  The borders are open and unprotected.  Federal representatives are compromised within a DC system that is self-protecting; they have even erected physical walls, barbed wire and armed troops to protect themselves from We The People.   We are on the cusp of our very own Yellow Vest movement.  The effort to push-back against this overarching system of government control has to get loud and local, very local.

(Via Axios) […] The massive spending package was passed via budget reconciliation, a process that allows the Senate to approve legislation with a simple majority vote, rather than the usual 60-vote threshold.

  • Had Democrats not clinched control of the Senate by winning the two runoff elections in Georgia in January, the size of the package — if one existed at all — would have been far smaller.
  • The bill passed in the Senate last week 50-49 after a marathon of late-night amendments, which only began after Republicans forced the clerk to read the entire 628-page bill out loud — a process that took 11 hours.
  • The House vote fell almost exactly along party lines, with one Democrat — Rep. Jared Golden of Maine — voting against it.

Details: The bill approves $1,400 stimulus payments for individuals making up to $75,000 and couples making $150,000. It will also extend weekly $300 unemployment insurance until Sept. 6. Other highlights include:

  • An increased child tax credit in 2021 of $3,600 for children up to age 5 and up to $3,000 for ages 6–17.
  • $128.6 billion to help K-12 schools reopen.
  • $19 billion in emergency rental assistance.
  • $25 billion to help restaurants.
  • $46 billion for coronavirus testing and tracing.
  • $5.2 billion to support the research and development of vaccines.
  • $7.25 billion for Paycheck Protection Program loans.

What to watch: The White House says Biden will sign the bill on Friday (more)

We are watching deployment of an identical playbook used previously to bail-out Wall Street, Big Banks and political benefactors/beneficiaries in 2009.

  • COVID crisis 2020 replaces the housing/banking crisis 2008.
  • Pelosi repackages the TARP strategy as a COVID response.
  • States are bailed out in 2020 like the Too Big to Fail banks in 2008.
  • Union leadership benefit as they did in the 2008 operation.

…And the great reset begins.

Communists v Fascists

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Mar 10, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

COMMENT: Martin:
I saw your comments on Europe today, and may have sent this to you before but can’t remember.
I have a tract in my office from the 1920s, written in English by the Italian Fascists. I’m going from memory here since I’m writing this from home, but basically, the tract says that the Fascists were much more intelligent than the Communists. The Communists wanted to destroy the economy first, then rebuild something from nothing. The Fascists were more intelligent, preferring to take control of the economy in partnership with both business and labor.

REPLY: I think that is an excellent distinction between the two. I have found it laughable that people were calling Trump Fascist when that would have meant he turned his companies over to be controlled by the government. This is the problem today. People are throwing around labels and have no idea what they really mean.

I stated before when I worked from an office in Philadelphia which was directly across from City Hall. The Occupy Wall Street protesters were there and as I left the office dressed in a suit and tie, one yelled at me “You Corporate Liberal” as if that was wrong. I just looked at him and had to laugh. What was a corporate liberal? Someone who gave the company money away? They were just merging labels with no idea of what they were even saying.

Communism is what these people are doing for they believe they must destroy the economy and then BUILD BACK BETTER, whereas fascists indeed seek only to take control of what is in place.

Was CNN Pushing Cuomo to Make him President?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Mar 10, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

CNN and the leftist media were clearly promoting Governor Cuomo as being more presidential than Trump. While the left was mercilessly bashing Trump over COVID and how every death was all his fault as Biden said, TV journalists in particular at CNN were actually saying that Governor Andrew Cuomo was really the acting President of the country (see video of Newsbusters above).

The interesting aspect is just how overwhelming it has been to overthrow Trump right down to “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” which won the best comedy film. I watched it and it was just political propaganda. Cohen even said he did it to influence people to vote against Trump. It was so outrageously biased and paid for by Amazon which then had the audacity to ban Dr. Seuss for hate speech. The entire Borat file was nothing by hate speech against Republicans.

Oh yes, it’s not “hate speech” as long as it is against people for what they think. They also banned Justice Thoms not because he was black, but because of what he thinks. So Boart is OK but a documentary of Justice Thomas is banned with Dr. Seuss? Did Borat make the Kazakhstanians appear backward and stupid? If Black Americans were portrayed that way the film would be banned. These standards seem to be just to ban whoever they disagree with. That is the real definition of “community guidelines” and “hate speech” when used today by BigTech and the media. It is simply speech that they hate. Would Cohen portray Jews as he did Kazakhstanians? Would that make him an antisemite in this new cancel culture?

Biden Grants Right to Vote for Criminals in Prison & on Probation

Armstrong Economics Blog/Regulation Re-Posted Mar 10, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

Biden has granted the right to vote to criminals in prison or on probation. First of all, I believe it was unconstitutional to deny people the right to vote on the pretense of violating some law that is never fairly administered. Just look at New York. They never prosecute any banker because the bank pays huge fines they would never get from individuals. Justice is always about corruption in New York.

The most interesting aspect of the delusional state of the Democrats is that they believed that by allowing criminals to vote they would vote for them. Interestingly, it has been the Democrats who have imprisoned people for the longest period of time in history. It was Bill Clinton who passed the sweeping Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, which provided funding for tens of thousands of community police officers and drug courts, banned certain assault weapons and mandated life sentences for criminals convicted of a violent felony after two or more prior convictions, including drug crimes. It was Joe Biden who pushed for longer sentences. Of course, perhaps Biden does not remember he was the one who orchestrated the higher sentences. So now, after imprisoning them for life dealing in marijuana only, he thinks letting them vote and they will cheer the Democrats.

The mandated life sentences were known as the “three-strikes” provision. The definition of a “violent” crime meant simply having a weapon, there was no requirement to use it. Then the definition was expanded to ammunition. I knew a Vietnam Vet who was imprisoned for a “violent crime” because he had an empty shell he wore on a necklace from Vietnam. The judge held he could fill the holes and reload it to make it usable. He was sentenced to 5 years for that.

Trump was very popular among those in prison for he was the first president to reduce time. The Democrats may be operating under false assumptions.

FBI Rleases New Video of Suspect Planting Pipe Bombs in DC on January 5th – But Wait for it….

According to the FBI: …”The FBI’s Washington Field Office has released new information and video regarding the pipe bombs placed in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C., on January 5, 2021, and is seeking additional information from the public. Identifying the person responsible for placing these pipe bombs is a priority for the FBI’s Washington Field Office and our partners at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; U.S. Capitol Police; and D.C. Metropolitan Police Department.

Accept the statement at face value and then ask yourself:  what is wrong with this picture?

(Screengrab Source)

Seeking your help.  Comments turned off.

See the problem?

Actually, it’s not a problem… it is just an affirmation of intent.  The FBI is in the business of creating, engineering and supporting political narratives.  The FBI is a political institution, that’s why the request doesn’t align with the system… they don’t really want the public’s help; because it is pushing and promoting the investigation itself that is the goal.

Once you accept the FBI is a political organization with political interests, expectations and objectives, then everything makes sense.

On the evening before the violence at our nation’s Capitol, between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., two pipe bombs were placed near the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters and Republican National Committee (RNC) headquarters. One device was placed in an alley behind the RNC headquarters, located at 310 First Street Southeast, and the other was placed next to a park bench near the DNC headquarters, located at 430 South Capitol Street Southeast #3.

“The American people have provided invaluable assistance in this investigation, and the FBI and our law enforcement partners are very grateful for that cooperation,” said Steven M. D’Antuono, assistant director in charge of the FBI’s Washington Field Office. “We still believe there is someone out there who has information they may not have realized was significant until now. We know it can be a difficult decision to report information about family or friends—but this is about protecting human life. These pipe bombs were viable devices that could have been detonated, resulting in serious injury or death. We need the public’s help to identify the individual responsible for placing these pipe bombs to ensure they will not harm themselves or anyone else.”

[…]  The FBI is asking the public to watch the videos of this person—you may recognize their gait, body language, or mannerisms. We are asking the public to come forward with any information that could assist us, including any odd or out-of-character behavior you noticed in a family member, friend, or coworker, leading up to or after January 5. Regarding the evening of January 5, we are asking for information about an individual who you may have observed matching this description in the vicinity of North Carolina Avenue SE and Folger Park between 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.. This person may have entered a vehicle or taken an item from a vehicle and placed it into the backpack. (more)

Battered Conservative No More

The headline here is a twist on a great book about how to not be a participant in your abuse called “Codependent No More“.  The message directly relates to something CTH discusses frequently in both articles and in the comments section.

In order to stop being abused, you must first stop making excuses for your abuser.  Accept things as they are, not as you interpret them to be.  This tweet by Robert Barnes is a great example:

At first blush Barnes is saying something we can all agree with.  Yes, Liz Cheney is toxic to the base of support within the republican party; and yes, the GOP putting Cheney into a very visible position of leadership tells us something.  However, the visiblity of Liz Cheney is not because the GOPe are stupidly disconnected from their base, Liz Cheney is purposefully visible because the GOPe wants her there.  She is a feature not a flaw or mistake; and the GOP totally gets it.

The Republican party believes the conservative voter base of the party is the problem, not the leadership.  Please accept that as an empirical fact or we will continue to have discussions that are misinterpretations of motive.  From the mindset of the institutional Republican party YOU are the problem, not Liz Cheney.

When you finally accept that the RNC wing of the UniParty hates you, literally hates their base of voters, only then can you begin to break the cycle known as “Battered Conservative Syndrome.”

However, to break this toxic mindset we must stand firm against the abuser.  THEY are the problem, not you.  THEY work for you, not vice-versa.

The GOP leadership is supposed to represent your priorities, not carry out their priorities while managing your angst.

We The People are being abused by them.

Everything they are doing – they are doing because what they are doing is exactly what they want to do.

The institutional republican leadership are not making mistakes.  Accept who they are.

Battered Conservative No More!

If you are a regular reader of this site you are generally a person who engages in intellectual discussion on daily events and more than likely a root cause thinker. Meaning you are able to grasp events at their cause and not at their consequence.

However, for some reason, many of those who understand big picture dynamics are still comfortable sticking their heads in the sand about “motive”.  Many people are still clinging to actual beliefs around a principle of ‘rule of law’ that applies to National Leadership.

You’d better change that thinking quickly – or you’ll be asking ‘what happened’ far too late.

There seems to be a willful blindness on the part of the American people, a chosen refusal to acknowledge the implications of the unAmerican and unConstititional behaviors, actions and outcomes we are being served on a daily basis.

It can no longer be presumed to be a matter of “I can’t see what’s happening” because a whole lot of normal Americans really are clean and articulate.

I can’t see it” just doesn’t cut it anymore.

Watch This – Will President Marbles Make it To The End of This Year?

Posted originally on the conservative tree house March 8, 2021 | Sundance | 296 Comments

Serious question: will Joe Biden make it to the end of the year before his worsening jibberish collapses his facade and the media initiate the shift to Kamala Harris?

Before answering, watch this video from today.  Biden cannot remember the name of the Pentagon, or the name of his Defense Secretary, Lloyd Austin.  Instead, he rambles through an incoherent mess of mumbled words as he attempts to exit the speech.

Eventually the media will have to stop pretending not to notice the dementia.
