Market from Volume to Targeted Boosts

TrialSite Staff by Staff at TrialSite | Quality Journalism May. 10, 2022, 9:00 a.m.

After 16 months of major COVID-19 immunization initiatives worldwide, government appetite for COVID-19 vaccine products appears to morph into a more focused, market-based, targeted booster series, a change that vaccine producers are now adjusting to accommodate. With a confluence of forces, from COVID-19 vaccine gluts to increasing numbers of producers to leeriness of waning effectiveness due to highly transmissible variants, the market drivers, heavily driven by government, give way to an unfolding new reality.

In the United States, like in many other nations, including those aligned with the World Health Organization (WHO), centered responses to COVID-19 emphasized production and distribution of a maximum number of vaccines with targets of achieving at least 70% vaccination. That effort, again coordinated to some degree by groups such as WHO, led to the inoculation of about 4.68 billion people (according to Our World in Data) worldwide, or neatly 60% of humanity, representing an unprecedented pandemic response.

Vaccine producers such as Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson and Johnson (Janssen), AstraZeneca, and others understand that unless there are continued government mandates effectively priming the pump of demand, those individuals with a preference for COVID-19 immunization have already gone ahead with the procedure.

What’s left is a market for boosters and what could become some sort of annual shot available for targeted populations. Of course, in some markets, young children are still a target for COVID-19 vaccines.  Regardless, companies now operate in a quite different environment now, than they did in the period of late 2020 through 2021: a period driven by massive government spending, heavy industry influence on the regulatory process, risk-sharing, and the like to a more traditional competitive marketplace.

The Last Market: Young Children

While the children’s markets in places like America are still relevant, awaiting approval, what’s becoming apparent will be the emphasis on booster shots. In the world’s most lucrative drug market, America, Pfizer, and Moderna will more than likely persist as market leaders vying for the parental demands of children as public health agencies such as the CDC continue to emphasize that the risk-benefit analysis of the COVID-19 vaccine favor by a long-shot vaccination. The point of view is that there are no risk-free choices and that it’s better to be safe than sorry with the very youngest members of society.

To date, the CDC recommends the Pfizer vaccine for both the 5-11 age and 12 to 17 cohort while not recommending Moderna. Under 4 is the last market segment the vaccine makers vie for, and if the FDA authorizes, then Pfizer would own that market. A potential battle emerges over this cohort (aged 4-11) as a growing movement concerned for the safety associated with the vaccines, especially the mRNA-based products, gains momentum to question the mass vaccination on this young population. Critics argue that the original premise for mandates and the like was to control community transmission.  Given substantial waning vaccine effectiveness combined with mutating variants, critics suggest the risks of serious infection and death are too low, and the safety issues are higher than the government is letting on.

Demand for Vaccines Wane

But demand for vaccines is flat in much of the world. In America, there is little uptick in vaccination as the “fully vaccinated” defined as receiving the two jabs of either Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna or one jab from Janssen equals 66.8% of the population while about 30.7% of the population opted for a booster dose.

Meanwhile, TrialSite, on several occasions, has chronicled a global glut of COVID-19 vaccines and therapeutics, especially in places like India, the world’s second-highest populated country. In places like Australia, where the death rate associated with COVID-19 has absolutely skyrocketed despite high immunization rates, the public health agencies and politicians continue to promote booster doses as the answer. TrialSite reported recently that Australian politicians in an election season essentially pretend that times are back to normal despite record numbers of cases, near-record hospitalizations, and double the deaths in the first months of 2022 than all of 2020 and 2021 combined.

Some Possible Explanations

Reuters’ Michael Erman and Manas Mishra write that vaccine producers such as Novavax and CureVac, the German mRNA-vaccine maker in partnership with GlaxoSmithKline, seek to target this booster market. Novavax still awaits FDA authorization despite the fact that much of the developed world, from Europe to Canada and Japan to the WHO, have authorized the use of the Novavax vaccine.

Meanwhile, the outlook for Janssen and AstraZeneca (Oxford) is that bright, report the Reuters journalists. According to Hartaj Singh, an analyst from Oppenheimer & Co., “It becomes a very competitive game with companies battling it out with pricing and for market share, even for vaccines that are considered to be the best, like Pfizer and Moderna.”

Interestingly, Pfizer’s CEO Albert Bourla went on the record in an interview recently that those adults that have opted to receive a COVID-19 vaccine are not likely to start accepting shots now in a recognition that the mega push for vaccine administration has come and gone.

Moderna has pegged the unfolding market as the annual shot market, targeting the following:

  • Adults 50 and above
  • People with comorbidities or other risks
  • High-risk occupations (e.g., healthcare, etc.)

According to the estimates of Stephane Bancel, Moderna’s CEO, this emerging annual shot market totals 1.7 billion, representing 21% of the global population. The mRNA-based vaccines are more expensive and cumbersome to distribute and store, hence a sizeable chunk of that estimated target may opt for other vaccines such as the two recently touted by vaccine insiders at WHO including a plant-based vaccine from Canada and one from China.

More than likely Western Europe and America will represent central markets for sales for Pfizer and Moderna who will move toward more competitive, targeted responsive strategies as large government pre-purchases are probably going to be far less. Moreover, TrialSite suggests what were cozy relationships between industry and government agencies will become less so as the various governments’ responses to the pandemic will be a hot topic, especially in democracies in current election cycles.

Key Question: A flu shot model or something else?

The Reuters writers posed an important question in the recent piece: will the likes of Pfizer and Moderna starting this fall market a tailored, redesigned vaccine targeted relevant variants of concern (e.g., Omicron, BA.2, etc.)?

Both Moderna and Pfizer executives are on the record that they are developing Omicron-targeted vaccines.

This becomes an important topic as even the mainstream media starts to become slightly critical of the pandemic response, including mRNA-based vaccine makers that never modified the vaccine product once. The vaccine authorized and approved in the United States was developed based on the original Wuhan variant of SARS-CoV-2 which didn’t seem to make it in circulation to America nor most of the world.

Revenues Decline (but still unprecedented)

2023 sales numbers, while still staggering as compared to historical precedent in the pharmaceutical industry, are nonetheless, on the decline. Reuters reports $17 billion projected for Pfizer-BioNTech (down nearly half from $34 billion) and $10 billion for Moderna as compared to $23 billion in 2022. Sales will continue to drop because enormous fortunes were generated in the winner-take-all pandemic market.

TrialSite suggests the COVID-19 pandemic response must be seriously evaluated due to levels of bias, political interference, and potentially corruption at an unprecedented level. Should the political conditions change in the United States for example, leading to serious inquiries, the pandemic winners may incur unexpected costs.

Inflation & Ukrainian War are Greatest Threats to the World Economy

Armstrong Economics Blog/Economics Re-Posted May 10, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

COMMENT FROME GERMANY: Oil and flour shelves are empty.

REPLY: I really do not know of the braindead politicians actually understanding what they have done with their COVID restrictions, and then whispering to Zelensky to please sacrifice your own people to create a diversion for the collapse in the economy so they can blame Putin. Meanwhile, the Green German candidate Baerbock found herself being pelted with eggs. These politicians have no idea what they have done to society – none whatsoever! Even the Federal Reserve came out and warned that the war in Ukraine and the surging inflation are the greatest threats to the world economy. But the politicians will never listen.

Germany has also issued a cookbook on how to cook without electricity. Welcome to the insanity of Republican forms of government. I suspect they will all vanish post-2032.

Krystal Ball on Roe v. Wade and Political Manipulation

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re- Re-Posted May 10, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Krystal Ball provides a bipartisan view on the manipulation tactics that both Republicans and Democrats have been using throughout US history to gain votes. Remind the voters to hate the opposition who will turn their world into a dystopian nightmare — Vote for me and this time will be different!

The reality is that most politicians do not care about the key issues they discuss on podiums around the country. Both parties deliberately refuse to fix the problems they claim are ruining society because they need to scare voters to stay in line and vote within party lines.

As Ball mentioned, the minimum wage is stagnant at $7.25 per hour after the Democrats claimed for years they would raise it substantially. Perhaps only Bernie is honestly concerned about this issue and would have taken legitimate steps to correct the problem. Biden implemented the Child Tax Credit to help struggling families but implemented it for only one year. Once that program expired, his tactic backfired and Democratic voters flocked to the GOP. He has billions available for Ukraine, but not for US taxpayers.

There are many “one-issue voters” who will vote for whichever candidate supports their main concern regardless of political affiliation. Abortion is one of those issues that attract one-issue voters who have an extremely religious and moral opposition to the practice. The Democrats have claimed to care about protecting abortion rights for decades but failed to uphold their promise.

Obama said that protecting Roe would be his top priority once elected president. Despite many cycles of holding power, the Democrats refused to make access to abortion a federal law. Obama had the House AND Senate in his pocket and could have passed the Freedom of Choice Act with little opposition. He did no such thing because the Democrats need the issue of abortion to portray the Republicans as the opposition. The Republicans used the same technique when Trump promised to overturn Roe v. Wade to appeal to his Christian voters.

These politicians only care about securing votes for candidates who support the current regime. The Republicans should be celebrating the Supreme Court decision, but are upset over the leak because it takes away another talking point for the midterm election. Additionally, as America has abandoned its original Christian founding, fewer Republican voters are overly concerned with Roe v. Wade, especially given the endless issues facing our nation.

Both sides have had nearly 50 years to protect or overturn Roe. How long will politicians continue to make the same empty promises before the people call their bluff? Sooner or later, voters will realize that this time will not be different.

Zelensky Looking at the US to Wage Economic War Against Russia

Armstrong Economics Blog/War Re-Posted May 10, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Over the weekend, Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that he is hoping US financial pressure on Russia will end the war. “So far, I think that the United States of America is the accelerator of the sanction policies and I think they do more than any other country. And this is the way it should be because they are the most powerful country right now. I see the same support with respect to sanctions from the United Kingdom,” Zelensky told reporters at Fox.

The Ukrainian leader admitted that he needs the US to be involved in the war, economically, which is selfishly pushing the nation and all of NATO into World War III. On top of sanctions, President Biden just appealed to Congress for $33 billion in aid to help Ukraine. Only $3 billion of that will go to food and humanitarian programs to help civilians and the five million Ukrainian refugees, while $8.5 billion will go toward economic aid. An alarming $20 billion will go directly toward assisting military action against Russia.

Putin is not exaggerating by calling the West an aggressor, as it is no different from Ukraine calling it the “accelerator.” The press is painting Putin out to be a madman hellbent on war with the world. His goal from the beginning was clear – secure land that he believes belongs to Russia. He had NO intention of provoking NATO nations or creating a global disaster. The press was certain that Putin would declare war against the US and others on May 9, Victory Day, which symbolizes when the nation defeated the axis powers in World War II. Let us not forget that the axis powers would have won the last world war if not for Russia. The UK and US have been memorialized as the victors, but Russia experienced more casualties than either nation.

The US and other nations have unofficially declared an economic war on Russia. We are a few missteps short of a full-fledged war to the likes we have never seen. Zelensky wants other nations to get involved and join the war, even if that means the loss of millions of lives.

Putin’s May 9th Speech – The Full Review

Armstrong Economics Blog/Russia Re-Posted May 10, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

The West keeps getting Putin wrong mainly because they have taken the Blue Pill and just repeat the propaganda put out by primarily the United States government. They told all journalists that Putin would formally declare war on Ukraine, institute a draft, and call up all reservists. The Western Press continually denies the existence of any Ukrainian Nazis despite the fact that they are well documented and claims Zelensky could not be a neo-Nazi because he is Jewish and omits the fact that (1) his children were baptized and he is a non-practicing Jew, and (2) the Ukrainian Nazis were exterminating not just Jews, but Polish and Russians. No doubt, Zelensky became Christian because of the prejudice against Jews in Ukraine. But the US never prosecuted any Ukrainian Nazis because they were also ethnically cleansing Russians. Only the German Nazis were put on trial for killing the Jews — Ukrainian Nazis got a free pass.

Of course, Putin did nothing of the kind. But the stories in the Western press are continually pushing for World War III. They are always painting the picture that Russia is being defeated in order to pretend that the West can crush Russia. Nancy Pelosi declared a virtual war in Kyiv, making it clear that there would be no peace talks, and she will not accept anything but victory against Russia. Nowhere do we find the Western Press even acknowledging the existence of the Minsk Agreement that was also to allow the Donbas to secede if they held a free election since they objected to the revolution carried out by the West.

While the West reports that Russia is losing, they hide the stories that show the failure inside the Ukrainian Army. The elite Candian Sharpshooter who made headlines that he was going to Ukraine to support freedom against tyranny, has turned around and returned to Canada. He returned to Quebec, telling local media that his experience there was a “terrible disappointment.” He claimed there was poor training and heavy losses among the Ukrainians, but there was profiteering and desertion in the ranks.

Walli, as he was known, was described by Spanish media as “the best sniper in the world” and praised by the New York Post for “grabbing anti-tank missiles in a warehouse to kill real people.”  But he told La Presse that his Ukrainian commanders initially “didn’t know what to do” with foreign fighters like himself. He grew tired of waiting for an opportunity to fight, so he joined the ‘Norman Brigade,’ which was a private unit led by another former soldier from Quebec. He said that the weapons and armor promised never showed up. He reported that about 60 members of the brigade have since deserted. Others told La Presse that some soldiers “schemed” to steal a $500,000 shipment of American-supplied weapons and form their own unit. The speculation is that the American weapons going to Ukraine may find themselves on the black market as was the case in Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

When Zelensky was elected, he promised to reduce the tensions with Russia, for even CNN said back in 2019 that “Ukraine has been locked in a proxy war with Russia for five years, and the conflict has claimed around 13,000 lives in the country’s east.” Of course, now nobody will report the truth that the United States has been fueling this civil war in Ukraine all to stab Russia in the gut – the hated enemies of the Neocons who see all Russians as Stalin.

Interestingly, the Kremlin was hopeful that Zelensky would end the proxy war of the United States against Russia. His predecessor, Poroshenko, was seen as pro-war. In fact, CNN also reported that Russia was optimistic. They wrote:

“There are chances to improve Ukraine’s interaction with our country,” Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Facebook. “What is needed for this? Honesty. And we need a pragmatic and responsible approach.

CNN further reported that Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had suggested Kyiv could actually change the direction of the country. CNN quoted her saying“With all the understanding of how the world works behind the scenes, I’ll still say: Ukraine can go for a reset.” The hope in Russia that Zelensky would carry out his campaign promise to seek peace and end the civil war died very quickly.

The propaganda is overwhelming and is desperately following what Ben Franklin warned about war is when the government tells you who is the bad guy and revolution is when you decide for yourself. The Western Press is always desperate to paint Puttin and Russia as the bad guy. That is classic state propaganda. There are never saints and ethics on the battlefield. You do what you must to survive.

The Telegraph put out the propaganda that Putin’s invasion had failed because it had not gone as planned since he was not “reviewing today’s Victory Day parade in Kyiv’s Independence Square.” From the outset, Putin made it clear he was not interested in conquering Ukraine and was there only to liberate the Russian region of Donbas. When the US invades to take over a country, they first destroy the power grid, communications, and water. Putin has done none of them showing he never intended to conquer Ukraine but just liberate the Donbas as he stated.  The question is rather clear. Why is the press putting out complete propaganda? The May 9th Victory Day Parade is always held in Moscow, and often Americans travel there to celebrate the victory over Hitler’s Nazis.

Putin addressed Russia’s military operation in Ukraine as a preemptive move against future aggression. He outlined this during his Victory Day parade speech in Red Square in Moscow on Monday, which the reviews in the West I read omitted. Putin praised the achievement of the Soviet people during World War II, however, he also addressed the reasons for the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kyiv stating that Russia had to take action because of the large-scale offensive against the republics in the eastern Donbas which has been supported by the American Neocons since 2016. Putin said:

“We saw the military infrastructure unfolding [in Ukraine]; hundreds of foreign advisers starting their work; there were regular deliveries of the most modern weapons from NATO countries. The danger grew every day,” he further explained.

“Russia gave a preemptive rebuff to aggression – this was a forced, timely, and the only right decision by a sovereign, strong and independent country.”

“Despite all the disagreements in international relations, Russia has always advocated the creation of a system of equal and indivisible security.”

Putin also cited Moscow’s many attempts to engage in a peaceful dialogue on security guarantees with Washington since the Biden Administration came to power, which he outright admitted failed to yield any results.  He stated: “NATO countries didn’t want to hear us, which means that, in fact, they harbored completely different plans, and we saw it.” Putin also stated that their intelligence saw open preparations for a punitive operation in the Donbas under Zelensky and “an invasion of our historical lands, including Crimea.” All of this is absolutely true. Putin’s December 2021 effort to prevent the war the West called his “ultimatum” which was unacceptable.

Naturally, the Western press all seem to have omitted much of the substance of Putin’s speech, for it ran counter to the West’s propaganda. Putin also stated that his decision to act was also that Kyiv had announced plans to restore its nuclear capabilities, which made the press the day before the invasion on February 23, 2022. The US invaded Iraq claiming they intended to create nuclear weapons. I also found it very strange that at the Munich Security Conference on February 20, 2022, the United States sent the VP rather than the Secretary of State, who blurted out that Ukraine should join NATO. Even the trade agreement that Yanukovich rejected which led to the Maidan Revolution for not joining the EU had a clause that he agreed to all the rules and regulations of NATO without formally joining NATO which would have been a violation of the Belgrade Agreement. The West has been clearly pushing for war since 2014.

Since the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the US has increasingly spoken of ‘American exceptionalism,’ Putin pointed out. By spreading those ideas, Washington is “humiliating not only the whole world, but also its satellites, which have to pretend that they don’t notice anything and humbly accept it all. But we are a different country,” he insisted.

Russia has a different character, we’ll never give up on our love for our Motherland, on our faith and traditional values and customs of our ancestors; on respect for all peoples and cultures.

But the West has apparently decided to “cancel” those values, with such “moral degradation becoming the basis for cynical falsifications of the history of World War II, and the incitement of Russophobia,” Putin said.

“We know that American veterans, who wanted to come to the parade in Moscow, were basically banned from doing so,” Putin emphasized, trying not to invoke hatred of the American people as is taking place in the West with the demonization of the Russian people. Putin clearly emphasized that Russia remembered the efforts of the US servicemen and their contribution to victory in World War II.

Putin then pointed out  that “the self-defense forces of the Donbas Republics together with the Russian military are fighting on their land… for the Motherland, for its future, to make sure that no one forgets the lessons of World War II so that there would be no place in the world for butchers, punishers, and Nazis.”

Putin further made it clear that Moscow should not repeat the mistakes of the Soviet leadership of 1940-1941. Back then, he explained, the USSR tried not to provoke Nazi Germany by “refraining or postponing the most urgent and obvious preparations it had to make to defend itself from an imminent attack.” As a result of that delay, Russia was not prepared to counter the invasion. Putin continued: “The attempt to appease the aggressor ahead of the Great Patriotic War proved to be a mistake which came at a high cost for our people…We will not make this mistake the second time. We have no right to do so.”

After looking at the Western Press, I find the reporting very disturbing. They try desperately to paint Russia as losing right down to counting the number of troops parading and reporting it was 1 to 2 thousand less than last year, proving Putin is losing. They fail to point out that on December 21, 2021, Putin laid out the issues causing tension and what needed to be resolved. The West laughed and refused to do anything to defend the ethnic Russians in the Donbas.

Ron Paul wrote in his column on April 22nd, 2022: “War is a racket, wrote US Maj. General Smedley Butler in 1935. He explained: “A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small ‘inside’ group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war, a few people make huge fortunes.”

Col. Richard H. Black is a former Republican member of the Virginia State Senate from 2011 to 2020. He did not seek re-election in 2019. The West is putting out nothing but propaganda, and that is obviously a setup for one thing – the overthrow of Russia. Suddenly, the WHO is pushing for total control of the world, forcing digital IDs and vaccination requirements to stop the free movement of people. This is the pre-stage for the push for a one-world government to be under the United Nations.

We face the collapse of Keynesian Economics and the fiscal mismanagement that has taken place since World War II with this constant borrowing with no intention of paying anything back. Combined with the old idea that increasing the money supply is inflationary so it is better to borrow than print, has led to the solution of war because lowering interest rates to NEGATIVE by the European Central Bank in 2014, has wiped out all the pension funds. Without war, the people will be storming the parliaments and probably hanging politicians or carrying their heads on spikes as in the old days.

This is why the West is pushing so desperately for war. My father fought in World War II under General Patton. He let me know that Patton warned back then that Russia was the real enemy and argued to march to Moscow. The reasoning was that they were communists. Those days are long gone. Communism fell and crumbled to the grown for it attempted to alter human nature. But the Neocons do not care if Russia and China are communists anymore. They were enemies back then and they are still enemies today because this is really about ethnic hatred. China may still retain the name the Communist Party, but communism means the government owns everything. Neither China nor Russia are communist today. Instead of building peace, they must now fall because the elites have once again adopted the idea if there is only one government, that will end wars. So we need a war, to end future wars?

Here is the former president of France making that very statement that the purpose of the EU was to end any European war – one government = no war. They forgot their history of Rome. One government, many civil wars.

So while our fearless leaders plot our demise on the battlefield so they do not have to confront the economic nightmare that they have created, the market LIQUIDITY is collapsing rapidly. I would estimate it has imploded by 33% since 2021 and we are headed into a sharp economic recession into 2023. Instead of rational solutions and a public debate, they keep the doors closed to hide the truth from the people while blaming the economic decline and rising inflation on Putin.

Ukrainian Targets in Time & STAGFLATION

Armstrong Economics Blog/Economics Re-Posted May 9, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: Marty, Socrates targeted the week of April 25 and that indeed proved to be critical for Russia to halt the supply of gas to Poland and Bulgaria, which Western leaders called “blackmail. You said you have short-term targets in time for the war. What is the next one?

SH

ANSWER: There appears to be somewhat of a gap and I know the Western press was touting May 9th for some declaration of war by Putin which did not take place. Our next critical target will be the month of June targeting the week of the 24th. Thereafter, August appears to be an important target which again will be August 23/24. This is not going to subside. Putin will not abandon the Donbas. He is there to protect the Russian population. There is no question that this is really a war between the United States and Russia using Ukrainian to die on the battlefield. Eventually, the West will create some sort of False Flag to escalate the war and perhaps commit US boots on the ground. I would say that is more likely for the week of August 23/24 and the Democrats roll out the standard playbook to create a war where the people will not vote against the incumbents – at least that is what they claim in Wonderland – i.e. Washington, DC.

.We are caught in a wave of STAGFLATION and the Fed has only one tool and that is interest rates. They will raise the rates despite the fact that this will have ZERO impact on solving inflation when it is based upon shortages.

Congressional Democrats Say Biden Not Spending Enough on Ukraine, Boost Package to $40 Billion With Vote Likely Tomorrow

The House of Representatives were concerned Joe Biden was not spending enough on the Ukraine laundry operation, so they took his $33 billion request and added another $7 billion making the Ukraine support package $40 billion.

Yes, you read that correctly…  ‘Unbelievable’ is an understatement. I mean seriously, does anyone in Washington DC even talk to their constituents any longer?

The DHS Customs and Border Patrol budget for our border security operations is approximately $4 billion, the Southern border is in crisis.  Meanwhile Biden and Pelosi send over $55 billion to Ukraine?

WASHINGTON, May 9 (Reuters) – U.S. congressional Democrats agreed to rush $39.8 billion in additional aid for Ukraine, two sources familiar with the proposal said on Monday, easing fears a delayed vote could interrupt the flow of U.S. weapons to the Kyiv government.

The House of Representatives could pass the plan, which exceeds President Joe Biden’s request last month for $33 billion, as soon as Tuesday, and Senate leaders said they were also prepared to move quickly.

A proposal for additional COVID-19-related funding, which some Democrats had wanted to combine with the emergency Ukraine funding, will now be considered separately.

Biden on April 28 asked Congress for $33 billion to support Ukraine, including more than $20 billion in military assistance. That proposal was a dramatic escalation of U.S. funding for the war with Russia.  The new proposal includes an additional $3.4 billion for military aid and $3.4 billion in humanitarian aid, the sources said. Ultra MAGA Candidate Kathy Barnette is Surging in GOP Pennsylvania Senate Race

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on May 9, 2022 | sundance

With eight days to go before the republican primary in Pennsylvania, ultra-MAGA candidate Kathy Barnette is surging.  In a recent republican-leaning Trafalgar Poll {SEE DATA HERE} Barnette has shot to second place with 23.2%, only 1% behind Dr. Mehmet Oz who is at 24.5%.

President Trump has endorsed Dr. Oz, however, a considerable number of people in the grassroots MAGA base do not trust Oz, view David McCormick as an establishment candidate, and they are going strong with support for Kathy Barnette {WEBSITE HERE}.

A victory is within reach for the candidate who says “Now more than ever, America requires strong, authentic Republican voices to stand up and defend the U.S. Constitution and the rights we hold dear. I will be that voice — for Pennsylvania and our great nation.”

After winning the Pennsylvania straw poll in April, Barnette has continued to gain momentum and increased attention.

Ballotpedia: “Barnette worked as a political commentator and in corporate finance after serving in the United States Army Reserves. Barnette identifies herself as an America First candidate, a term often associated with the platform of Trump and candidates who say they support Trump’s agenda. In response to Trump’s endorsement of Oz, Barnette said, “MAGA does not belong to President Trump . . . although he coined the word, it belongs to the people. Our values never shifted to President Trump’s values. It was President Trump who shifted and aligned with our values.” (link)

Durham Prosecution and Sussmann Defense Outline Trial Witnesses

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on May 9, 2022 | sundance

With mostly wins and a few losses in the pre-trial evidentiary hearings for Special Counsel John Durham, the case against Clinton lawyer Michael Sussmann is scheduled for trial next week.  Now the witness lists are coming forth.

WASHINGTON – […] Robby Mook, who managed Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, Clinton campaign attorney Marc Elias and FBI counterintelligence leader Bill Priestap and former top FBI lawyer James Baker are among those called as government witnesses, said prosecutor Andrew DeFilipiis. (link)

Additionally, Laura Seago, a top tech official at research firm Fusion GPS (she has immunity in exchange for testimony); Deborah Fine, a Clinton campaign lawyer; and a CIA official identified as Kevin B are also on the prosecution list.

[…] Defense attorneys unveiled their own high-powered witness list. It includes Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz, former acting Assistant Attorney General Mary McCord and Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter Eric Lichtblau. (read more)

Depending on preset Perkins Coie leverage and risk exposure, other officials from deep inside the DOJ/FBI small group operation may also be forced to stand as defense witnesses by Sussmann’s team.  The lawfare combat teams look interesting.

The prosecution calling Marc Elias as a witness looks like a great opportunity for: (1) evidence against him for later use; and/or (2) a perjury trap.

The defense planning to call Inspector General Michael Horowitz puts the office of the IG into a suspicious position.  Horowitz is a baddie.

Mary McCord is a conniving manipulator for the worst elements of the deep state, so it makes sense she would give testimony to defend Sussmann.  McCord was a central figure in how the DOJ National Security Division sought to frame the appearance of the Trump-Russia collusion nonsense, and it was Mary McCord who later coordinated the National Security Council leaks between Alexander Vindman and anonymous CIA whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella.

Before becoming the Intelligence Community Inspector General, Michael Atkinson was Mary McCord’s chief legal advisor at the DOJ-NSD for the fraudulent submission of the Carter Page FISA application.

In his ICIG position, Atkinson changed the rules for McCord to allow an anonymous whistleblower complaint… at the time Mary McCord was working as legal research operative for the impeachment team in the House.

The Sussmann defense group has enough dirt on Mary McCord and Michael Horowitz to pressure both of them into favorable testimony.  We will likely see other corrupt DOJ and FBI officials also pushed to defend Clinton’s legal crew.

On the prosecution side, Laura Seago (with immunity) has details of the motives inside Fusion GPS by owner/operators Glenn Simpson and Peter Fritsch.  Her testimony should be interesting and will likely overlap into other prosecutions if there are any.

Bill Priestap was Peter Strzok’s boss and James Baker was FBI legal counsel.  If there was anyone who seemed less willing (slightly) to frame Trump you could make an argument that Priestap and Baker were the least corrupt on the scale of internal corruption.  From the perspective of criminal conduct they would be the two FBI insiders less willing to take a fall.

Keep in mind the media has a strong vested interest in the Sussmann prosecution.  If Sussmann is found guilty it makes the media culpability look even worse.  The media was pushing the same false information to the public that Michael Sussmann was pushing into the FBI.

As previously stated, don’t look for Durham to go inside government with his investigation; he appears focused exclusively on the outside players from the Clinton team.
