Migrants Disappointed in America Re-Posted Nov 16, 2023 By Martin Armstrong

Migrants

Those who were not told to enter America but actually fled here for a better life are now realizing that the American Dream died long ago. The Chicago Tribune interviewed a man from Venezuela who said he’d prefer sleeping on the streets of his original socialistic hell than ours.  “The American Dream doesn’t exist anymore,” he told the paper. “There’s nothing here for us … we just want to be home. We didn’t know things would be this hard. I thought the process was faster.”

The migrant reported that he wanted to work but had been unable to obtain a permit. He has been unable to enroll his child in school. “If we’re going to be sleeping in the streets here, we’d rather be sleeping in the streets over there,” he said. Yet, over 20,000 migrants have entered Chicago since August of 2022.

The only people to blame are the politicians who claimed their cities would be sanctuaries for migrants. The Democrats have been playing this game for many years. Chicago issued an executive order on March 7, 1985, declaring their city a sanctuary for migrants. The measure prohibited authorities from investigating “citizenship or residency status of any person.” Now this was done back then to protest the Reagan Administration for cracking down on illegal immigration. There was no plan in place for how these cities would house a mass  influx of migrants; the politicians simply wanted to gain votes by opposing the other party. It was not until 1992 to that Chicago opened a loophole where illegal immigrants could actually be questioned for serious crimes. Former Mayor Rahm Emanuel, an Obama appointee, later declared Chicago to be “the most immigrant-friendly city in the country.”

Illinois’ Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker, along with every other politician in a blue state overrun with migrants, has placed the blame on the federal government. “The humanitarian crisis is overwhelming our ability to provide aid to the refugee population. Unfortunately, the welcome and aid Illinois has been providing to these asylum seekers has not been matched with support by the federal government. Most critically, the federal government’s lack of intervention and coordination at the border has created an untenable situation for Illinois,” the governor penned in a letter to President Biden.

Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. The desire to oppose Reagan in the 80s, followed by every GOP leader after him, led Democrats to vote for open borders continually. They used the migrants as political props to garner support from their base who does not consider the economy when voting.

Crime is Killing Brick & Mortar Stores Re-Posted Nov 16, 2023 By Martin Armstrong

Crime in America is completely out of control. Since looting is legal in Soros-backed blue cities, countless stores and businesses are fleeing. This is also occurring with the most basic stores, such as pharmacies and grocers. Countless stores have begun locking up their inventory, and shoppers must flag down an associate to purchase low-cost items. They do not even do this in third-world countries as the issue here is psychological. Crime and not creative destruction will be the end of brick & mortar stores.

One pharmacy in Washington, DC, has resorted to arranging pictures of products on their shelves. One social media user showed that even the toilet paper is missing from the shelves, replaced with a framed picture of the product. The workers at these locations cannot personally shop for each customer, and people are refraining from in-person shopping in general.

Around 70% of the US population shops online, spending an average of $3,428 per year. This figure will likely rise as it is simply not possible to shop in physical stores amid this intense crime wave. Online shopping in the US has increased by 16.2% since 2020, and global online sales are expected to reach $7 trillion in 2024. This is an international trend as countries like the Philippines (+26%), India (+26%), Indonesia (+23%), Brazil (+22), and Vietnam (+19%) among countless others have seen a spike in e-commerce in the past year alone.

In Asia, the shift toward online shopping is due to convenience. This is the creative destruction Schumpeter promoted, as it is simply faster and more time-efficient for many to shop online. In the US, however, the trend toward online shopping is being fueled by CRIME.

But brick & mortar stores have served a purpose in our society. If I buy a new suit, I want to feel the material and try the clothing on. I do not want to return and reorder items as that eliminates the convenience factor. The troubling thing here is that Americans living in high-crime cities no longer have access to the basic necessities. No one wants to wait 15 minutes for an associate to grab toilet paper from the back of the store. How low have we fell as a society when we cannot trust our fellow man to act humanely? There are countless societies that have say markets with no cashier as each person is trusted to leave behind the proper payment.

We will see a surge of government-run stores that are guarded and managed by the public sector. The globalists will have an easier time turning American cities into 15-minute cities since the city government will already have control over the food supply, and those receiving government aid will be required to shop there.

So while brick & mortar stores are dying, there is a cancerous wave of degeneracy infecting American cities. In recent years, the government led masses to feel entitled and underprivileged. They are the victims despite committing crimes. This view is promoted in universities as well. That us vs them mentality has led to a divide where Americans do not view their fellow Americans as neighbors and it is destroying the most basic aspects of society.

State Wealth Migration Re-Posted Nov 15, 2023 By Martin Armstrong

Migration to USA

In 2019, New York hosted 72 billionaires. That figure has declined to 62 in 2023, with smart money fleeing the state due to high taxes and crime. The state of New York depends on the top 1% of earners to pay 42% of its tax burden. New York is already operating in a deficit and has the added burden of hosting tens of thousands of migrants with tax funds.

The top 1% of Americans have an average net worth of $10,815,000. While billionaires earn on investments and not income, states like New York expect top earners to pay 14.8% in income tax. “If you had someone who was earning $100 million [a year] in New York suddenly move to Florida, that’s something like a $11 million-a-year hit per year recurring to the state,” said Ken Girardin, the research director for the Albany-based think tank, Empire Center for Public Policy. The 62 billionaires that remain in New York have a collective net worth of $562.3. Only the top 5% of Americans have a net worth of over a million dollars.

Inflation is hurting those at every class level and people do not want to downgrade their lifestyles. Policymakers want to scream “Eat the rich!” to appease voters who do not understand that the money held by those at the top is needed for a healthy economy. In 2020 alone, when the pandemic struck, New York lost $19.5 billion in taxes from people fleeing the state. California lost $17.8 in tax revenue that year and counting.

We are seeing a wealth migration in the US. This is why I say that markets like real estate cannot be looked at on the national level, as prices in red states continue to rise as blue states have become uninhabitable. This is only taking into consideration individuals as moneymakers are also taking their businesses to states where they do not need to support the welfare system. Around 160 firms have fled Wall Street since 2019, displacing $1 trillion.

Real Estate

Hence, people are saying Miami is the new Wall Street. Lawmakers do not comprehend the impact that this will have on state budgets.

Sixth Wave ECM Greek Roman 309.6

This is precisely what happened prior to the collapse of the Roman Empire. The top 1% half 16% of the empire’s wealth. Wealthy Romans were the first to leave cities when public confidence collapsed. We can see the migration from archaeological finds that saw villas built far from city centers. And even in those days, people felt that the wealthy were selfish for acting in accordance to the invisible hand. As noted in “The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire” by James William Ermatinger: “Their disinclination to leave may have been caused by forced exactions, confiscations, business concerns, tax pressured, or general economic fears, which made protecting one’s own interests seem more prudent than looking out for the interests of others.”

Rome’s Sovereign Debt Crisis is what ultimately led to its collapse. Yet one of the first signs of major trouble was the mass exodus of wealth from the cities.

6th Grader Lauren Arrington Shows Curiosity is Everything Re-Posted Nov 13, 2023 By Martin Armstrong

Einsteing Curiosity

I have told the story before that when I was doing my reach early on at Princeton University’s Firestone Library, I became friends with a professor who had known Einstein who taught there. He said to me that I reminded him of Einstein. I was shocked because I was not making new theories in Physics. He explained that the subject matter did not matter. It was my curiosity in trying to figure out how empires rose and fell that inspired me.

He said that Einstein always said we will discover nothing unless we are curious. I came to understand that was the very reason Communism collapsed. They tried to eliminate the business cycle under Marxism and, in the process, reduce humanity to zombie drones denied free thought and stripped of curiosity. Thus, Communism fell by its own weight. There are those spreading the same nonsense that always begins with “equality” and the great divide in wealth. If we all have the same wealth, you destroy the very essential element of how society advances through the ages.

1903 first Ford

In all my studies, that statement to me about curiosity opened the door to understanding how society advances and declines. Schumpeter saw the boom and bust of the economy as waves of creative destruction. The invention of the combustion engine and the car’s development destroyed the horse and buggy industry, allowing the suburbs around cities to expand. This is Henry Ford in his first car, built in 1903. If it were not for his curiosity, we would have been in 15-minute cities riding our chariots through the streets, and the climate zealots would be arguing to kill all the horses for they are causing climate change as if the climate is supposed to never change.

Lauren Arrington

A Florida sixth grader, Lauren Arrington, has leaped into scientific fame with a startling discovery that could redefine our approach to invasive lionfish. She caught one in freshwater, where it was not supposed to survive. She conducted her own experiment, gradually reducing the salt in the water, and the fish survived. This has been a groundbreaking discovery that demonstrates how important curiosity truly is. We will discover NOTHING without it.

Encourage your children always to be curious.

That is the key to how society advances in the business cycle. Everything depends on it.

Congratulations Lauren. You will go far in life. Retain that Curiosity no matter what.

We Desperately will need it in this world of Equality.
