Pence “Laying Groundwork” For a 2024 Presidential Bid?

Not an April fool’s joke, but it might as well be.

Two media reports [Here and Here] about former VP Mike Pence considering a potential run for President in 2024 present the most laughable political hypothetical in recent memory.   Particularly, and specifically, because even President Trump would likely not include Pence in a short list of people for endorsement.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Former President Donald Trump recently rattled off the names of those he viewed as future leaders of the Republican Party, including Sens. Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz along with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. Conspicuously absent from the list: Mike Pence.

The former vice president is steadily reentering public life as he eyes a potential run for the White House in 2024.” (read more)

Newsmax has a similar story outlining steps Mike Pence appears to be making to lean forward to the 2024 GOP primary.  However, as pointed out by both articles, President Trump has not included his former VP in any positive affirmation about the future of the republican party.

NewsMax – […] “Since leaving office in January, Pence, who was Indiana’s governor and a member of Congress before being tapped as Trump’s running mate, has kept a lower profile. He’s pieced together a portfolio aimed at maintaining influence, paying the bills, and laying the groundwork for an expected presidential run.

He’s forged a partnerships with the conservative Heritage Foundation and has even been discussed as a potential president of the organization, according to two people familiar with the discussions. He’s joined the Young America’s Foundation and a top speakers’ bureau, penned an op-ed for the Daily Signal about the 2020 election, and recently toured a Christian relief organization in North Carolina. He will make his first public speech since leaving office next month at the Palmetto Family Council’s annual fundraiser in South Carolina, another crucial primary state.

Pence also has discussed writing a book, according to aides, has been in continued conversation with his evangelical allies, and plans to spend much of the next two years helping Republican candidates as they try to reclaim House and Senate majorities in 2022. (read more)

Who Raises Taxes During a Pandemic Already Creating Economic Turmoil? JoeBama, That’s Who

Think about the logical insanity of this position for a moment….  According to the Biden administration the economy is in trouble, people are struggling, and congress needs to spend trillions to bail out state, local and federal governments along with sending income subsidies to all Americans as the economic crisis around COVID continues.

Due to policies on energy, regulation and the COVID virus, simultaneously food prices are going higher, fuel prices are up 30 percent, overall energy prices are rising, transportation costs increasing and the inflationary impact on the middle-class is eating up their limited paychecks.

AT THIS EXACT MOMENT the same administration is now proposing a tax increase.

THINK ABOUT THE LACK OF LOGIC HERE.

(VIA AXIOS) […] The biggest-ticket item would raise the corporate rate from 21% to 28%. That’s worth $730 billion over 10 years, according to the Tax Policy Center.  The other three would:

  • Impose a global minimum tax on profits from foreign subsidiaries: $550 billion.
  • Tax capital gains as regular income for the wealthy and tax unrealized capital gains at death: $370 billion.
  • Return the top individual rate for those making more than $400,000 to the pre-Trump rate of 39.6%: $110 billion.

[..]  Democrats close to the White House don’t expect Biden to fight as hard for other expected proposals, including one that could raise some $740 billion by imposing new Social Security taxes on the wealthy.

  • His campaign plan to impose a 28% minimum rate on the wealthy, which would raise $220 billion, is unlikely to cross the finish line.
  • And making it harder for small businesses to claim deductions, which would bring in $140 billion, will likely encounter serious roadblocks.
  • Changing the ways estates are taxed, which would raise $220 billion, may not make it into the final legislation. (read more)

Florida Reject Biden’s Moves to Create Mandatory COVID Passports

Armstrong Economics Blog/Regulation Re-Posted Mar 30, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

Florida’s Governor Ron DeSantis said he would take executive action this week against vaccine passports. DeSantis said he will be issuing an executive order in the state forbidding vaccine passports. Local governments and businesses that would use these digital passports to allow vaccinated individuals to travel and attend events would not be allowed. He said that “we are not supporting doing any vaccine passports in the state of Florida.” DeSantis point blank said this violates privacy and individual liberties. “It’s completely unacceptable for either the government or the private sector to impose upon you the requirement that you show proof of vaccine to just simply be able to participate in normal society.”

One really has to ask when this scam will end? COVID has a 98.7% survival rate. How do we judge the success of vaccines – when they reached 98.9%? Once you start with a COVID Passport, then what is next? Vaccines for everything else in the realm of disease? People are to be denied liberty and employment because of a vaccine? When will the press stand up for the people and tell the truth that this is about climate change? After all, it was the Guardian who no longer guards the people who came out and reported we need lockdowns every two years to implement the United Nation’s climate change agenda with ZERO CO2. Even Washington Post reported that masks were useless yet people are fined thousands of dollars or imprisoned around the world for not wearing something that every study said was USELESS.

When I moved to Florida 5 years ago, I ran the computer models in the various states and Florida came up as #1. I had no idea it was projecting such a diverse trend to the rest of the United States on this scale.

Supreme Court Continues to Protect Politicians

Armstrong Economics Blog/Rule of Law Re-Posted Mar 29, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

Supreme Court protects Hillary Clinton as expected. The Supreme Court refused to compel Hillary Clinton to testify about her email server rejecting a move by Judicial Watch. This is further proof that the Supreme Court is refusing to enforce the law when it comes to politicians.

Love Thy Neighbor, Except?…

Posted originally on the conservative tree house March 29, 2021 | Sundance | 160 Comments

It has taken me a few hours to diminish the anger that surfaced when I first saw these two pictures below.

As readers will note I have taken exception to the lack of strong leadership from the church during this COVID crisis.  During a time when fellowship is most needed, most urgently needed, many churches are collapsing under their own fear.  This is not a good outcome.

Suffice to say, there is absolutely nothing sensible about the position of this church as pictured; NOTHING.

First, for vaccinated people there is absolutely nothing to fear from the decision of another person not to vaccinate themselves.  A non-vaccinated person does not represent a greater risk to a person who is vaccinated against the COVID virus.  It is abject nonsense to make any other argument.

Second, this purposeful division is akin to saying ‘good people on the right, pesky non-good people on the left’.  Setting up “classes of distinction” based on voluntary compliance with a non-FDA-approved test vaccine is ridiculous in the extreme.  For a faith-based organization to be doing this is beyond the pale.

There is absolutely nothing christian about dividing people based on their vaccination status.  Jesus did not say “love thy neighbor” and proceed to inject a qualifying “unless” in the statement.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” “The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”

Fellowship is critical during this COVID isolation that has befallen many people in various states where the virus has been weaponized to create fear.  There is nothing more valuable than the connection we share to each other; nothing is more purposeful; nothing is more inherently spiritual than being a source of light, hope, faith and love for our family, friends and community.

I would strongly urge any faith-based organization to evaluate their messaging around the COVID-19 virus and immediately cease any overt or implied message that draws lines of division in any congregation.  THAT is the job of leadership.  Comfort the afflicted, and stand strong amid the evil seeking to divide our nation.

Emotional CDC Director Says Her Family is “Scared” and She Feels “Impending Doom” From COVID

An emotional CDC Director, Rochelle Walensky, cries out today: “I’m going to reflect on the recurring feeling I have of impending doom. We have so much to look forward to, so much promise and potential of where we are, and so much reason for hope, but right now, I’m scared…We have come such a long way…just please hold on a little while longer. I so badly want to be done. I know you all so badly want to be done. We are just almost there, just not quite yet.”

Once again proving that if you elect democrats to office you get a left-wing agenda based entirely on feelings.  Good grief, people actually believe this stuff.  WATCH:

Biden Demands States Reimpose COVID Mask Mandates

Posted originally on the conservative tree house March 29, 2021 | Sundance | 263 Comments

Apparently the far-left have a need to reignite COVID weaponized fear.  With more states dropping mask mandates and opening up their restrictions, the JoeBama administration is facing a crisis of spontaneous self-reliance breaking out.  They really need the COVID fear to continue their control over all facets of society.

It’s likely they need to funnel more money into their allied corporate funders and the COVID fear is a necessary component therein.  The globalist vaccination passport agenda also needs a dangerous virus in order to facilitate the control program.  If states are open, masks dropped, restrictions removed and COVID is not deadly, it will be a lot harder to sell the registration program underpinning the vaccination passport agenda.

As a result, Biden is wheeled out from his walk-in-tub and told to go read the fearmongering script stat.  Panic is needed quickly.  Those pesky dissidents are pressuring their state and local officials to stop with the nonsense propaganda.  Mr. Mumbles needs to support the fear narrative… oh and use the creepy, whisper voice. WATCH:

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Says No To Vaccine Passports: “It’s Completely Unacceptable that Government or Private Industry Would Impose Vaccine Requirement Simply to Participate in Normal Society”

Posted originally on the conservative tree house March 29, 2021 | Sundance | 195 Comments

Once again Florida Governor Ron DeSantis outlines his specific direction with the COVID vaccine program.  As DeSantis noted in his media statements today “we want to provide it for all, but mandate it for none.”  Explaining the Florida legislative intent on further COVID laws the Florida governor went on to say the vaccine passport issue “has huge privacy implications”, and he does not support any mandated vaccine passport that would impede on the liberty and freedom of Florida residents.

Watch the video below starting at 07:45 (prompted) for a strong leadership position regarding individual self-reliance.  It is not a surprise that hundreds-of-thousands of U.S. residents are quickly flocking into the sunshine state, each month.  The influx of new residents into the state is part of the reason why unemployment in Florida is almost half the national average, and the economy is booming.   WATCH:

My strong opinion still predicts the final four 2024 GOP presidential nominees will likely be: (1) Ron DeSantis representing the MAGA base.  (2) Kristi Noem representing MAGA-lite with a twist of Koch. (3) Nikki Haley representing the traditional cocktail republican class (Bush mindset); and (4) Ted Cruz trying to split the Christian base on behalf of Haley’s GOPe scheme.

Obviously things could change; and obviously President Trump is still the frontrunner (should he choose to run again); but with proactive advice and wise counsel from Donald Trump, DeSantis would easily clear the field with a Trump endorsement.

Australia Committing Economic Suicide – Turning Hard Left

Armstrong Economics Blog/Regulation Re-Posted Mar 29, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

The Greens in Australia want to tax Billionaires 6% Wealth Tax annually (in addition to INCOME) as a property tax on everything this own from art right down to the watch they wear. They claim it will raise $11.2 billion over its first two years, it will cost the Australian Tax Office an extra $110 million to implement the policy and enforce compliance. But it does not stop there. It would apply to Australians who hold more than $1 billion in assets, no matter where they live, and non-residents who hold Australian assets worth more than $1 billion. Therefore, you can see how stupid these people are for they assume those they target would just remain in Australia and that foreign investment would certainly abandon Australia. This is on top of income taxes, and property taxes that already are in place.

I quit managing money domestically in the United States back in 1985. They came in for an audit and government employees MUST find something wrong because their view is nobody is perfect. They said they were going to write me up for improper record keeping. I asked what was wrong. They said my tabs on files were PINK and they were supposed to be RED. I am not one to cower from the government. I demanded their names and told them I would be filing a lawsuit against them personally. They dropped the nonsense and left. I then informed all my American clients that I would no longer manage money inside the United States. I returned all the funds and moved offshore. That incident transformed me into one of the first Hedge Fund Managers. Stupid regulation has an impact and the idiots behind it are too stupid to understand the consequences.

The political left never gets it. If they raised income taxes back to 90% again, I would just quit. Out of principle, I would simply refuse to work as an economic slave. They never read Atlas Shrugged. They think robbing others because they have more than they have is perfectly fine. So if they are walking down the street and someone sticks a gun in their face and says give me everything or your life, they too are justified because whatever they have is still more than the person with the gun.

I find it very interesting that these left-wing policies are actually forbidden by the Ten Commandments for they are built upon avarice and envy. The Seven Deadly Sins are Pride, Anger, Greed, Gluttony, Lust, Envy, and Sloth. What is interesting is the fact that what is in the Ten Commandments can be found in just about every religion since the dawn of time. This appears to be a human problem and they always justify it by saying it is not fair that someone else has something they do not. But then again, then do not want to work for it – Sloth.

SNL Shows whoever is President – They are Fair Game

Armstrong Economics Blog/Politics Re-Posted Mar 29, 2021 by Martin Armstrong

The Washington Post has never, at least that I recall, critiqued an SNL skit. They just could not help themselves to rush to the defense of Biden. This proves it is no longer about news – it is just about propaganda. It is True the “Democracy Dies in Darkness” and the Washington Post is doing everything they can to kill democracy.
