Gerald Storch Discusses Potential for Holiday Retail Sales…

Posted originally on The Conservative Tree House on October 16, 2020 by sundance

Former Toys ‘R’ Us Chairman and CEO and Storch Advisors CEO Gerald Storch, appears on Fox Business to discuss today’s remarkable retail sales data. Storch rightly notes the September year-over-year spending was a whopping 8 percent on durable goods.

This outcome foretells good news for the holiday shopping season… except, as I noted, there is a slight issue. None of the current on-hand inventories are enough to fulfill demand for a big holiday shopping season. Hence, my advice – buy early, buy now.

Stunning MAGAnomic Comeback – September Retail Sales Jump 1.9 Percent, and 5.4 Percent Year Over Year…

Posted originally on The Conservative Tree House on October 16, 2020 by sundance

The September retail sales show it’s a super-V recovery folks.  According to Census Retail data released today [LINK HERE] – [PDF HERE] September retail sales jumped 1.9 percent, that result is triple what forecasters and economists had projected.  However, the data is even better.  Need more winnamins !

A September 2020 comparison to September 2019 shows last month’s retail sales jumped a whopping 5.4 percent year-over-year.  That means last month saw consumer spending 5.4% higher than consumer spending before COVID-19 hit the U.S. economy. Keep in mind two-thirds of U.S. GDP is driven by retail sales and consumer spending.

Reuters is absolutely apoplectic with disappointment because their forecasters were only looking for 0.7 percent growth, and the 1.9 percent result is almost triple their expectations.  Despite missing the forecast, Reuters doubles-down on a “dark cloud” narrative and sells a doomsayer message because the globalists/multinationals are sad.

(Reuters) […] Retail sales jumped 1.9% last month as consumers bought motor vehicles and clothing, dined out and splashed out on hobbies. That followed an unrevised 0.6% increase in August.

Economists polled by Reuters had forecast retail sales would rise 0.7% in September.

[…] Retail sales have bounced back above their February level, with the pandemic boosting demand for goods that complement life at home, including furniture and electronics. An aversion to public transportation has boosted motor vehicle purchases. Retail sales rose 5.4% on a year-on-year basis in September. (link)

Go read the Reuters analysis and you’ll see they are doomsaying, under the auspices that more stimulus spending is needed or the economy will collapse.  Nonsense. The data is the data… and the data tells a stunningly good story that totally aligns with what I have witnessed in all of my recent travels.

Yes, some more very narrowly targeted and specifically tailored recovery spending is wise and appropriate; but a massive spending package is not needed unless we are talking about the politics of it.  Politically putting money in the hands of workers/consumers is a good move…. but our economic position is not contingent upon it.  The economic engine has restarted and is firing strong; more government spending is pure nitrous now.

(Via Associated Press) […] “We’re optimistic about the prospects for a strong holiday season, as people want something to look forward to and bring joy to their lives,” Shay said. “While it’s been a challenging year for everyone, there’s been an enormous amount of innovation within the retail industry and retailers have demonstrated that we can keep the economy open and operating safely.”

“Retail sales are continuing to build on the momentum we’ve seen through the summer and have been boosted by an improving labor market, a rebound in consumer confidence and elevated savings,” NRF Chief Economist Jack Kleinhenz said. “A significant number of people remain unemployed, but more are going back to work and that makes them confident about spending.

September retail sales reflect the support of government measures and elevated savings that is being spent now that consumers are shopping again. With less spending on personal services such as travel and entertainment outside the home, some of that money is shifting to retail cash registers. All in all, these numbers and other economic data show the nation’s economy remains on its recovery path.”  (more)

As many of you know I have been traveling extensively throughout the country as I continue to brief groups on background DC, DOJ and FBI information from my years of research. During these travels I make a point to visit sector-specific businesses to inquire about their economic and business growth status.

The disconnect amid a ground reality compared to business reporting and financial media is actually stunning. However, perhaps that is because my physical ‘on-the-ground’ inquires and reports are ahead of the natural lag in the economic data rolling up to the accounting level. Here’s what I can tell you with absolute certainty.

The amount of heavy equipment, industrial equipment, hardware and goods being moved around the country is more than I have ever witnessed or seen in decades of travel. The mid-west, mid-atlantic, southeast, and more specifically the south in general, has more haulers and semi-trucks on the road than I have ever witnessed…. ever…. by a substantial margin. The same is true for rail freight and cargo vessels.

Regardless of what financial pundits and economic media might be saying, the underlying economic activity in the U.S. right now is explosive and moving at a much more rapid pace than before the COVID crisis. Regionally, business owners and operators all report the same thing, and the same need for a larger workforce. All of them are hiring; however, some sector specifics and regional specifics are much more intense.

So here’s my final data-driven tip and prediction for you this year.  Do not share it with anyone except your closest family and friends:

#1 – There will be a severe shortage of holiday gift items for purchasing this holiday season; a severe shortage.  Make your list of presents now; and go buy them as soon as possible.  Trust me on this… stuff will be scarce and you will not be able to find in mid-late November and/or December.  Demand will be off-the-charts.

#2 – There will be a severe shortage of staple food items for holiday meal cooking.  If you do cooking or baking for your family this year, buy your shelf-stable items early.  Purchase your ingredients and shelf-stable food and beverage items early.

Wait for the fresh product purchases as normal, those are unaffected.  However, the side items and shelf-stable food products (flour, sugars, dry spices, condiments, dried fruits etc.) will be in very limited supply.

In all consumer purchase sectors existing inventories are already too low to support the normal holiday demand..

Purchase early and avoid the panic.  You will be a hero for your family.

The third quarter (July, Aug, Sept) GDP figures, which will be released on the last Friday in this month, are going to be record-breaking.

China’s Election to the UN Human Rights Council

China was rewarded with a seat on the Human Rights Council– a perfect example of the hypocrisy rampant at the United Nations

China’s Election to the UN Human Rights CouncilOctober 13, 2020 was “a black day for human rights,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, the Geneva-based non-governmental human rights organization. Mr. Neuer was lamenting the fact that the United Nations General Assembly was preparing to vote to elect some of the world’s worst serial human rights abusing regimes to membership on the UN Human Rights Council. The regimes elected included China, Russia and Cuba. A Joint NGO Report issued by UN Watch, Human Rights Foundation and the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights on October 5, 2020 branded these regimes “unqualified.” The Joint NGO Report reached its conclusion based on the criteria that the UN General Assembly itself set, which required that “members elected to the Council shall uphold the highest standards in the promotion and protection of human rights.”

The Chinese Communist regime is a wellspring of gross human rights abuses

The UN General Assembly’s vote to grant China membership in the Human Rights Council illustrates how the United Nations has made a complete mockery of the human rights protections it professes to uphold. The Chinese Communist regime is a wellspring of gross human rights abuses. The regime routinely crushes dissent, extending its authoritarian methods to Hong Kong. It tortures and arbitrary imprisons its citizens who do not toe the official party line. The regime is a surveillance state that negates any individual privacy rights, and it censors the press and online social media. Journalists who dare to stray into politically sensitive areas that the regime considers forbidden territory are regularly forced out of their jobs or jailed. The regime also engages in persecution of people of faith, including Christians, Buddhists and Muslims.

In these respects, the Chinese regime is in sync with the human rights abuses of other authoritarian regimes. However, what places China in a class by itself today when it comes to human rights abuses are the internment camps the regime has established to arbitrarily detain more than one million Uighurs and other Muslims. The Joint NGO Report referenced the horrific conditions to which these detainees have been subjected, including political indoctrination, systematic torture, and the forced sterilization and abortions of female prisoners. The Uighurs and other Muslims who are not presently detained still live under repressive conditions. They are subjected to constant surveillance, the suppression of the use of their own language, and the banning of their cultural and religious practices.

Here is how the U.S. State Department described this unique example of ethnic cleansing in the 21st century, which the Chinese regime has justified to “contain and eradicate extremism”:

“The broad definition of extremism resulted in the reported detention since 2017 of more than one million Uighurs, ethnic Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, and other Muslims in ‘transformation through education’ centers, or detention centers, designed to instill patriotism and erase their religious and ethnic identities. This included many of those ordered to return to China from studying or working abroad. International media reported security officials in the centers abused, tortured, and killed some detainees.”

“Outside the internment camps, the government implemented severe restrictions on expressions of minorities’ culture, language, and religious identity, including regulations prohibiting behaviors the government considered signs of ‘extremism’ such as growing ‘abnormal’ beards, wearing of veils in public places, and suddenly stopping smoking and drinking alcohol, among other behaviors. The regulations banned the use of some Islamic names when naming children and set punishments for the teaching of religion to children. Authorities conducted ‘household surveys’ and ‘home stays’ in which officials or volunteers forcibly lived in Uighurs’ homes and monitored families for signs of ‘extremism.’”

“Authorities searched cell phones at checkpoints and during random inspections of Uighur households, and persons in possession of alleged terrorist material, including pictures of general religious or cultural importance, could be arrested and charged with crimes.”

The Chinese regime is also unique in another respect from a human rights perspective, which is particularly relevant during this year of the coronavirus pandemic. The Chinese Communist regime deliberately withheld key information about the coronavirus, which originated in China, when it first became aware that the virus was highly contagious through human-to-human transmission. Chinese authorities cracked down on whistle blowers such as Dr Li Wenliang who wanted to warn the public about the emerging coronavirus threat before it could spread completely out of control. Authorities censored any negative stories in the media or on the Internet about how the Chinese government was handling the coronavirus outbreak. The World Health Organization accepted at face value the inaccurate information it received from China during the early weeks of the outbreak, when the virus’s spread could have been much more easily contained.

The Chinese Communist regime was in a position to come clean about the virulent virus that was first detected in Wuhan, China in late 2019, before the virus escaped China’s borders and set off a global pandemic. Chinese authorities decided not to do so. Instead, the Chinese regime put its own image first, willing to sacrifice the basic human right to life and well-being of people all over the world. Over a million people have since died from the coronavirus to date. Many of these peoples’ lives might well have been saved if Chinese authorities had been more forthright at the outset. The regime’s abysmal behavior in this regard falls far short of the supposed standard for membership on the UN Human Rights Council – to “uphold the highest standards in the promotion and protection of human rights.” Yet China was rewarded with a seat on the Human Rights Council anyway – a perfect example of the hypocrisy rampant at the United Nations

Sunday Talks – Former ODNI Ric Grenell: President Trump’s Cabinet and Inspectors General Need to Get Focused…

Posted originally on The Conservative Tree House on October 11, 2020 by sundance

I do not blame a single voter for tuning out this type of political messaging… At this point the people defined as “patriots” sound like Charlie Brown’s teacher echoing in a forest.  There is a simple issue that everyone, including Ric Grenell, avoid because they worry  about their own financial interests and ongoing image.

That issue is an admission that *CURRENT* cabinet members, *CURRENT* officials, *Current* republicans in congress, and *CURRENT* inspectors’ general, are participants in the attempted overthrow of the United States office of the presidency.

Unless and until that reality is admitted, all these words are barking at trees

The office of the president is trapped on the roof.  The firefighters set the blaze.  The firefighters are the arsonists.  The municipal fire hydrants are filled with gasoline.

There are no “honorable rank-and-file” in/around Washington DC. There are no DC interests, including conservatives within the DC media apparatus, willing to participate in the disassembly of the institutional DC system of politics.  That system is their livelihood.

Here’s How President Trump Can Declassify Documents Around the “Authorization Process”…

Posted originally on The Conservative Tree House on October 11, 2020 by sundance

Dear Mr. President and White House counsel:

Understanding the ordinary process of declassifying documents is a request and authorization to the executive officers and stakeholders of classified information; and understanding the current authorization is is not ordinary because the intelligence community stakeholders are adverse to the interests of the office of the president; here is a process to cut through the chaff and countermeasures.

The background here is that any unilateral declassification request, demand or authorization by President Trump puts him opposition to a variety of corrupt interests.

As a direct result the executive office of the president will be facing legal action, likely from unified democrats and republicans in the legislative branch.  With that accepted, here is the most strategic approach.

In anticipation of litigation:

President Trump informs the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, that he wishes to have a full intelligence briefing on the following documents (more may be added), all documents are to be presented without a single redaction:

  • All versions of the Carter Page FISA applications (DOJ) (FBI) (ODNI).
  • All of the Bruce Ohr 302’s filled out by the FBI. (FBI) (ODNI)
  • All of Bruce Ohr’s emails (FBI) (DOJ) (CIA) (ODNI)
  • All relevant documents pertaining to the supportive material within the FISA application. (FBI) (DOJ-NSD ) (DoS) (CIA) (DNI) (NSA) (ODNI);
  • All supportive documents and material provided by Bruce Ohr to the FBI. (FBI)
  • All intelligence documents that were presented to the Gang of Eight in 2016 that pertain to the FISA application used against U.S. person Carter Page; including all intelligence documents that may not have been presented to the FISA Court. (CIA) (FBI) (DOJ) (ODNI) (DoS) (NSA)
  • All unredacted text messages and email content between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok on all devices. (FBI) (DOJ) (DOJ-NSD) (ODNI)
  • The originating CIA “EC” or two-page electronic communication from former FBI Agent Peter Strzok: and all communication between former CIA Director John Brennan and FBI Director James Comey that started Operation Crossfire Hurricane in July 2016. (CIA) (FBI) (ODNI)
  • The full and unredacted April 2017 FISA court 99-page opinion written by Presiding Judge Rosemary Collyer outlining the compliance audit conducted by the NSA in 2016. (NSA) (ODNI) (DOJ) (FBI) (DOJ-NSD)

The President selects a date for this briefing and through direct orders to his chief of staff, Mark Meadows, informs the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, to advise and coordinate with all executive branch lead intelligence officials, who were/are stakeholders in the compartmented intelligence products as described above, of their request be present for the briefing.

The White House counsel’s office is not to be informed of the intent or purpose of the meeting; however the Presidents’ White House counsel is requested to attend. Further, all of the compartmented intelligence is to be collectively assembled by the ODNI (Ratcliffe) into one volume of a singular Presidential Daily Briefing (PDB). There are to be eighteen printed copies of the PDB assembled and secured for the briefing, post haste.

Additionally, the office of the president personally informs the ODNI (Ratcliffe) of the executives’ request to invite for the briefing each member of the legislative branch Intelligence Community oversight known as the Gang-of-Eight.

Immediately after the briefing by the executive level (cabinet) department officials, while remaining in a closed and classified session, the full and comprehensive content of this collective intelligence product will be discussed with the full assembly of the U.S. Legislative Branch Intelligence Oversight known as the Gang of Eight.

Therefore, National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien is instructed to coordinate with the ODNI (Ratcliffe) for the attendance of the Gang of Eight: Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Minority leader Kevin McCarthy, HPSCI Chairman Adam Schiff, HPSCI Ranking Member Devin Nunes, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, SSCI Chairman Richard Burr and SSCI Vice-Chair Mark Warner. [Topic “TBD”]

In order to facilitate the briefing. Each member of the participating group will be provided with one full printed copy of the material assembled by the ODNI during the briefing.

[Each of the participants carries the prerequisite clearances, legal and constitutional authority to engage with the classified document according to their position and status. Only the executive can assemble the product for Go8 review and feedback]

At the conclusion of the briefing; and after hearing from, and engagement with, each of the participating members of the executive intelligence offices and duly authorized legislative oversight representatives; and after listening to their opinion as to the subject material discussed; the president announces to the fully assembled leadership of both the Executive branch (cabinet) and Legislative branch (Go8), it is his opinion the National Interests of the United States can best be served with the American people having a full, transparent and honest review of the material assembled and discussed.

The President, no-one else, only the President, then collects the printed portfolios as they were distributed to the participants, exits the briefing, and walks directly into the James Brady press briefing room within the White House; handing each of the awaiting twelve members of the national media a copy of the briefing material to be published on behalf of the American people.

At exactly the same time as President Trump enters the briefing room, one copy of the assembled portfolio is hand delivered, by President Trump only, to White House communications director Alyssa Farah with instructions to scan and release the content to the public through the White House website.

Done.

The American people are aware…

The Election is forthcoming…

Litigation begins.

… “How does the office of a U.S. president; and more importantly the republic itself; survive a coordinated coup effort involving all three branches of government; while simultaneously those in charge of exposing the corruption fear the scale is too damaging for them to reveal?”…

It survives through the strength of the leader of the Republic to reveal it.

Trump to Donate His Plasma for Treatment of the Wuhan Virus

Trump promised to give the therapeutic Regeneron to Americans who come down with the Chinese COVID-19, and it’s all gonna be free.

Regeneron has created an amassing recovery for the president and he wants the CDC to create an Emergency Use directive to make it available to all with the virus. This dug is made from the plasma of volunteers and Trump has volunteered is Blood Plasma to the company. This is going to make it very difficult for Democrats to take the drug as there might be some of Trumps antibodies in it. So would a progressive, a Democrat, a never Trumper or any other person that hates Trump take this Drug?

So what would you do if you had the virus and Trumps blood might save your life?
