RIP the Democrat Party!

THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS DEAD.

It’s the Socialist Party now and it’s not just because Bernie is in the lead. No, all the Democratic candidates for president are socialists. They all want the same thing, free health care, gun confiscation, higher taxes, climate change’s ‘Green New Deal’ and an even stronger, more bureaucratic, bloated, and tyrannical central government.

The Democrats once represented the average working man. The common man once put the first Democratic president into office: Andrew Jackson. Even then there was an elite establishment in Washington D.C., and they seethed that a crude, populist, and alpha male president was occupying the White House. Jackson got rid of the central bank and it took him two terms to do it. Current Democrats may talk about being against the bankers, but it’s just empty rhetoric on their part. Bernie likes to talk tough about the bankers while being in league with them.

He needs the central banks, Soros, and globalism to help bring about his socialist utopia. He wants open borders and a global ‘Denmark,’ but what he’s really after is an old Soviet Union-style dictatorship. We know what his socialist totalitarianism brings—poverty and murder.

The working class will suffer under the new Socialist Party. Jobs and industries will be eliminated—all coal related jobs, for example. People will become dependent on government, and with ‘free stuff’ comes control. The big government chains of slavery will be shackled. Free speech will be regulated. Guns will be confiscated. Rationing. Mandatory vaccinations. Those who are not aligned with the Party’s political correct platform will be sent to re-education camps, in other words, gulags.

As for the Democratic Party, may it rest in pieces.

Gold & the Future

QUESTION: Hi Marty

I hear what you are saying about the next gen and Gold vs BTC. To me it begs the question as to how the Next Gen’s look at crypto’s. Is there an argument that they like BTC etc because it is anonymous [mostly] and not part of the ‘system’. If that is the case, what will they think when Govs adopt sovereign crypto’s and outlaw BTC. Will they then look to gold and history?
Tx for all the wisdom,
Best HP

ANSWER: I think we have to draw a line in the sand at 2032-2037. Going into the end of this cycle, we will most likely still have the younger generations listening to people like Bernie who claim the problem is not government, but the rich. That argument has always led to bloodshed. I believe your question whether people will return to gold is more likely post-2032. We are looking at a fundamental change and the end of socialism, which is really just a means to expand government power. It is not only on the left. You have some on the right who want to use the law to enforce their religious beliefs upon others.

For cryptocurrencies and digital currencies to survive, they need a power grid. We are also facing turmoil as separatist movements expand everywhere. I do not believe that the government will allow private crypotocurrencies. They will outlaw them just as they did with gold in 1934

The Bond Market Crash post 2015.75

(2018 Interview)

COMMENT: Marty, I had to laugh that someone said you were wrong and the bond market in Europe did not crash. I asked, is there still a bond market when the ECB buys it all? All I got was a dumb look! Are these people really that stupid?

Keep up the good work.

EK

ANSWER: I know. Some people think there has been no bond market crash outside the USA simply because prices have not crashed since the central banks buy all the bonds. I have friends who work in banks. Many are retiring for the bond market no longer exists in Europe. If that is not a crash, then nothing is. They can manipulate the price all they want. But if nobody buys it then there is no free market.

Nevada Caucus Final Results: Bernie 47%, Biden 20%, Buttigieg 14%…

It only took three days and the Nevada Democrat Party has the final results of their caucus.  [New York Times Link]  It’s actually a little surprising to see Biden come in #2.

Bloomberg Prepares to Blitz Bernie…

There has been a notable shift in the political battlespace in the past 72 hours; and particularly since the Nevada democrat debate.  More and more democrats are openly criticizing Bernie Sanders directly. However, they only have a window of about ten days to attack Bernie before Super Tuesday when the Rubicon of inevitability will be crossed.

Institutional democrats had conducted a few test runs against Sanders in previous months; however, as with the example of Hillary Clinton, each effort resulted in a quick reversal after the backlash from Bernie’s grassroots activists.  What appears to be happening now is a blitzkrieg effort with all elements aligned and focused.

The Sunday evening CBS interview was carefully crafted and highlighted some of the more severe opinions and beliefs of Bernie.  The framing was noted to draw particular attention to his Socialist & Marxist underbelly via emphasis on Sanders outlook toward Fidel Castro.

A soft type of narrative engineering is similar to passive aggression; noted the way it is presented to the audience.  The Anderson Cooper 60 Minutes interview was a case study.

We are starting to see the ‘Never-Bernie’ candidates taking direct aim at the front-runner from all directions. Along with the shift the campaign of Mini Mike Bloomberg announces they are going to carpet bomb Sanders with a mass media blitz of negative attack ads.

VIA NBC – Mike Bloomberg’s presidential campaign plans to unleash its cash-flush media operation against Bernie Sanders.

[…] The campaign plans a multi-pronged attack, including the publication of opposition research on Sanders, these people said. It will also push out digital attack ads focused on Sanders’ record. On Monday, the Bloomberg campaign attempted to paint Sanders as a past ally of the National Rifle Association, a gun advocacy group that Bloomberg has fought for over a decade.

The attacks on Sanders, who has accused Bloomberg of trying to buy the Democratic nomination, will also attempt to highlight negative aspects of his record on race relations both as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and as a senator, the sources said. This comes after Sanders, now seen as the Democratic front-runner, has taken aim at Bloomberg for his support of a policing policy known as stop-and-frisk that often targeted black and Latino people.

People within the Bloomberg campaign are also discussing whether to have surrogates and supporters write op-eds and show up on TV to speak out against Sanders, these people added.

Bloomberg’s campaign is sounding the alarm on Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, ahead of Super Tuesday, March 3, when 14 states hold their primaries. (read more)

Gold & the Slingshot

QUESTION: My reading of the gold was that for the slingshot up to dramatic new highs it needed the fakeout bear trap just below the 1000 mark. Since it took out your 1,362.50 number and the yearly bullish reversal at the end of 2019, does that mean the slingshot is now dead?  Do you think the shift to millennials and how they rush into Bernie’s arms means that gold is losing its luster for the next generation?

PL

ANSWER: I am preparing the new gold report. Basically, that slingshot is obviously dead as you say. This raises serious concerns about the future for gold. Yes, there is an important shift that takes place with these major generational evolutions. The gold standard died in 1971. Most people born after that do not see gold as money. Those who were born in the 1980s onward saw money as paper. Now we have those born post-1995 and they see no problem with cryptocurrencies and google wallets. Things are changing no doubt. You cannot judge the world with your personal beliefs. You may be just a couple of generations behind.

Socrates has been buying gold on the rally for the numbers are the numbers. That is the near-term view. What you are talking about is the viability of going forward into 2032. Without the slingshot, gold has lost a lot of its luster and that maybe indeed because of the generational shift. Smoking is being replaced by vapes and marijuana is being legalized. Things are changing as are the tax authorities. A legitimate company was trying to pay $181,000 in cash for several trucks in Cleveland and the government confiscated the cash and refuses to return it. They confiscated that money on a domestic flight – not international!!!!! The man was an employee sent by his employer. The TSA gave him $10,000 of the $191,000 and stole the balance.

You try to get on a plane with a roll of $20 gold coins they would probably confiscate it today because they presume all wealth is illegal so they get to take it. The very idea of gold as a replacement for the dollar is coming under attack. We will run the models on gold for without the slingshot, then the upside also comes down.

We will be issuing the 2020 Gold Report soon to sort out the real perspective long-term and well as short-term.

Lebanon to Default in March?

We are likely to see Lebanon default on its payments in March after it has been downgraded deeper into junk bond territory by two of the three biggest credit rating companies on Friday. S&P Global Ratings cut the country’s long-term foreign currency rating to CC, which followed Moody’s Investors Service cut to Ca earlier in that day. That puts Lebanon among the likes of Argentina, Mozambique and the Democratic Republic of Congo, other nations teetering near default.

The yield on Lebanon’s Eurobonds that mature next month has skyrocketed to more than 1,000%. We are looking at a default which is virtually certain. We will see rising social unrest in Lebanon and the economy will contract further. This will only intensify the expanding global liquidity crisis as smart capital begin to take a honest look at the entire emerging market area. This is contributing to the Repo Crisis for many banks are becoming concerned about who is holding whose debt.

Bernie Sanders: Fidel Castro Wasn’t So Bad…

Well, Bernie can write-off Florida; literally, write it off.   This is such a mega-mistake, it’s impossible to overestimate. Bernie Sanders doesn’t even need to bother campaigning in Florida… and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t lose the Democrat primary to Bloomberg… that’s how big an effen’ deal this is.

The Latino, Cuba, Argentina and Venezuelan community in/around Miami-Dade is the central voting block for democrats; proud and loud.  However, there is one issue, one central issue so encompassing they will walk away.  The murderous bloodthirsty Cuban dictator Fidel Castro is hated with the blazing sun of a thousand supernovas…. This is a non-optional outlook.  Get on the wrong side of that position and there is NO recovery.

.

He’s done. Bernie Sanders looking for the not-so-bad side of Fidel Castro, or the current Castro regime, is a non-starter for Miami-Dade Latinos. Period. There is no national electoral issue equivalent for this position. It is intensely personal, and you can’t throw a rock without finding a family with a first-hand victim account from Castro’s brutality.

Thao Nguyen@helloitsthao

he’s not only going to lose florida by double digits but he could lose miami-dade county outright too

there is nothing that cuban-americans hate more than castro

this is electoral poison https://twitter.com/hotlinejosh/status/1231733462157099013 …

In “60 Minutes” interview, Sanders goes out of his way praise elements of Castro’s reign of Cuba.

“We’re very opposed to the authoritarian nature of Cuba but it’s unfair to say everything’s bad. When Castro came into office you know what he did? He had a literacy program.”

What a gaffe by Sanders on Fidel Castro. If he’s below 15 in Florida on Super Tuesday, he’ll relinquish leader status. So unnecessary.

UPDATE: Nevada Caucus Results (Day Two)…

Apparently, for reasons they cannot quite fully explain, it takes a few weeks to count the votes from Democrat caucuses.  The DNC has reported that sometime mid-week next week the Iowa caucus results will be released.  With that in mind the Nevada caucuses were held yesterday, here’s the most recent update:
