Will Governments ever Listen Before there is Blood in the Streets?

COMMENT: Thank you for ‘Why Private Blogs’. You should get goose bumps once in a while about your work~, the project is massive in scale, certainly worthy of my respect and everyone else in readerville and your employ as well. This piece is well written and also lays out a good mission statement reminder to all. So, feel free Martin to frame it, re post it once a year, and continue to knick knack patty whack away at the world and toss us bones …. it is a worthy and respected endeavor that is already making the world a better place, especially for those to come rolling home here in the future!!! Stay fired up my friend I have not yet met……. for BETTER DAYS ARE COMING.

REPLY: I do think people tend to think this is just about forecasting the ups and downs in markets.  I have probably met with more central banks and governments than anyone over the years. I was called in by China during the 1997 Asian Currency Crisis and the Commission forming the Euro. I was called in at the formation of the G5 and by the Brady Commission for the 1987 Crash. All of these things and many more ONLY took place NOT because my opinion is worth something someone else does not have.

All of this has been because we forecast absolutely every country in the world and people even at the upper levels understand what we are doing and this is about demonstrating that absolutely EVERYTHING is connected on a global scale.

I see war as absolutely pointless for the days of empire building are long gone. War is now more like two drunks in a bar fighting because of one side something or looked at the other in an intimidating way. This nation-building nonsense is just that – NONSENSE! We pretend that Democracy is so great, yet we really live in Republics that are prone to massive corruption until they inevitably collapse as did Rome. When Caesar crossed the Rubicon, the people cheered and the Senate all fled to Asia. If they had the support of the people, they would have never fled.

It pains me deeply that our systems are so corrupt. I will never believe that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide. He had so many bargaining chips on people he would never be allowed to testify. This touched people like Bill Clinton, no surprise, Al Gore to Buckingham Palace. Maybe the prosecutor had no idea and when he started this the weight of the political world came crashing down.

The system will self-correct as did Rome. Who will be our Caesar today who knows? But it will come. That is why I say my concern is not Trump, it is who comes after Trump. All I can do is show there is a better way to manage things and we are all connected in this mess. I know the game. They will not listen until there is blood on the streets. Then and only then will they listen out of fear it might be their turn next.

The European Commission is just an Undemocratic Echo Chamber

COMMENT: Mr. Armstrong, Rome was my first WEC. It was truly an eye-opening event. Nigel Farage was correct – you are the alternative to Davos. I wanted to say after you explained the structure of the European Union and there the German people were denied any right to vote to join the euro, this coronation of the new grandmaster of the European Union Ursula von der Leyen was utterly undemocratic. We never have a right to vote for the head of Europe. Americans complain about Trump, but at least he was elected. Leyen was never elected by the people and this is very dangerous for this institution need never answer to the people.

HBM

RESPONSE: You are absolutely correct. They can hold impeachment proceedings against Trump but the head of the EU does not have to face the people in any election. This is a real problem. The European Commission is simply an echo chamber. They all see the world only through their own eyes and need not be held accountable to the people. Draghi imposed more than 10 years of insane interest rates that have wiped out pensions and destroyed the dreams of the elderly. Then they appoint the head of the IMF who was a lawyer and also does not stand for election EVER!!!

World Crisis Coming Soon

The world is in a complete midlife crisis or some may say an end of life crisis. I am overseas as the world is simply going nuts. At times, I feel more like a shrink having to reassure people that it will all be OK. Both Europe and Asia are having a very bad string of days.

Asia is concerned that China will intervene in Hong Kong. Protesters in Hong Kong seem undeterred by China’s thinly veiled threat of sending in the armed forces. But Beijing would pay a steep price if it were to send in troops politically. Trump has stated that he regards it as an internal matter for China, while even Mitch McConnell said sanctions would be appropriate. Footage has surfaced on the Chinese internet showing columns of armored vehicles heading south and converging on the city of Shenzhen. The videos seem to suggest that the Chinese People’s Armed Police Force, a heavily armed paramilitary unit, is gathering on the Hong Kong border.

Meanwhile, back in the old world, the EU seems more intent on preserving their power than any rational review of economics. They seem to be doing whatever they can to bury the European economy under this crazy idea of federalizing Europe in a half-ass way that still leaves the individual states in an impossible position to ever reach a unified agreement about anything.

Meanwhile, the former Chancellor Philip Hammond has accused the PM of trying to wreck the chance of a new Brexit deal, by making demands the EU could never accept. He seems to be more on Brussel’s side than his own country. Mr. Hammond said a no-deal Brexit would be “a betrayal” of the 2016 referendum result and that he vowed that Parliament would “make its voice heard,” adding that a no-deal “must not happen.” There is no question that Germany will be the biggest loser and then there is Ireland who does not want an EU version of the Berlin Wall. More than 50% of trade for Britain lies outside of the EU, but a no-deal is far better for it will be able to negotiate trade with the rest of the world not subject to French supervision.

Additionally, with the chaos in Asia and in Europe, the US is still the safe-haven. This could push the dollar into record highs by creating a panic of vertigo that may force the world to sit back down and renegotiate how the world monetary system will survive. Alternatively, we all just all shoot it out and build walls to retain domestic absolute control.

The problem with the collapse of socialism is that the promises made to retain power cannot be supported. The Pension Crisis will explode and at the currency projection, by 2032, we will be looking at a $400 trillion unfunded catastrophic liability. There is no way we could even make it that far. We will be looking at this during the WEC in October (tickets are still available).

Is California the Worst Economic Nightmare in the USA?

QUESTION: Marty,

Whenever you refer to California Dreaming, my blog post from a few years back, I cannot help but smile. Thank you for your chart on the California economy. Does this represent most states? Does this represent the state of the U.S. economy? What states are actually growing?

Yes, I agree with you that the government has become very corrupt, but no really cares about the Clintons anymore because they have no real impact on the average person’s life. The real issue, I believe is the war that is going on regarding freedom of access to making informed decisions on more important matters such as parenting and vaccines. Your blog at least has not been wiped off of Google and Facebook like Natural News, Mercola, and a host of other sites that call into question the efficacy and safety of vaccines. Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc have made it very difficult to find dissenting views on vaccines due to a letter from a Congressman. You should research this issue.

I think this is the real undercurrent going on right now, at least from my perspective. Plus the civil asset forfeiture, and the jailing of the journalists.

Thank you! I still think you are awesome!! I miss chatting with you!

S

ANSWER: California is actually the worst. Illinois is in trouble, but that is because their constitution forbids renegotiating state employee pensions. In the case of California, it is really just a Socialist’s dream of directing pensions to invest green. Losing money is just the tip of the iceberg.

Canadian Ethics Commission Concludes Justin Trudeau Violated Oath of Office, Broke Law, Used Position To Influence Attorney General…

The Canadian Office of Ethics completed their investigation of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and whether he inappropriately used his office to influence and pressure the Canadian Attorney General to drop criminal charges against a political ally and donor, SNC-Lavalin.  [Backstory Here]

Section 9 of the Canadian Ethics Act prohibits “public office holders from using their position to seek to influence a decision of another person so as to further their own private interests or those of their relatives or friends, or to improperly further another person’s private interests.”

The investigation found:

“Prime Minister Trudeau used his position of authority over Ms. Wilson‑Raybould [AG] to seek to influence, both directly and indirectly, her decision on whether she should overrule the Director of Public Prosecutions’ decision not to invite SNC-Lavalin to enter into negotiations towards a remediation agreement.

Therefore, I find that Mr. Trudeau contravened section 9 of the Act.”

In response to the official finding of the Canadian Ethics Office, Justin Trudeau said he “accepted the findings”, but “disagreed with the decision.”

Additionally, Justin from Canada refused to apologize for interfering in the criminal case, breaking the law and violating the duty of his office, because his goal was to protect Canadian workers who might have been negatively impacted if the company was impacted or was barred from doing business.

In essence, a ridiculous virtue-signalling defense. WATCH:

.

Immediately the leftist Canadian media circled-the-wagons to protect the office of the Prime Minister.  The liberal media in Canada agree that all oaths of office are contingent upon only following laws, rules or governmental policies that advance liberalism.  Any liberal or left-leaning target that runs afoul of the laws of Canada can be excused if their intent is to assist the larger progressive cause.

All Canadian media agree, openly and publicly, that if a conservative prime minister was to engage in similar conduct, to the benefit of a company donating to conservative political candidates, that Prime Minister should be immediately removed from office.  It is the political ideology and intent of the office that determines the application of law.

Within the Canadian media response to the transparently illicit conduct of Prime Minister Trudeau, you discover why Canada has a closed media system, called a “cultural industry”.   By law, policy and regulation, including within trade agreements, the media business in Canada is protected by the government from competition.

The “cultural industry” laws are how the liberal Canadian government keeps control of narratives to ensure no political challenges to their ideology ever reach the electorate.  The closest comparison in media systems would be dictatorial state-run media in China, Iran, Turkey or similar ideologically controlled nations.

As a consequence, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was just found by the U.S. equivalent of the Inspector General, to have violated the most fundamental principal of his office and the Canadian legal system; yet he will remain in office to advance the progressive agenda.

That’s Canada.

Google Whistleblower Provides Documents Showing Systems and Processes Used to Create Biased Outcomes…

Anyone who has spent time on the internet already knows Google manipulates the internet based on their self-defined ideology.  However, a Google employee and whistleblower has come forward with the documentary evidence explaining how they do it.

Zachary Vorhies has now gone public with the information in order to help people better understand the scope and scale of Google’s manipulative intent.  [Link to Documents]

.

Among those documents is a file called “news black list site for google now.” The document is a “black list,” which restricts certain websites from appearing on an Android Google product.  Not surprisingly CTH is listed on the black list.

Chicago Trying to Takeover All Power

The environmentalists are working hard behind the curtain to eliminate fossil fuels by nationalizing private utilities. The Democratic Socialists on the Chicago City Council want to “municipalize”ComEd, which has a franchise agreement to deliver power that is due to be renewed. That agreement permits ComEd to operate in the city and went into effect back in 1947. It was negotiated only twice and the last time it was renewed was in 1992. The Democrats want to confiscate the utility and dictate power usage in Chicago. This is really getting crazy.

“The Evil that Men Do”

Founder and CEO Mr. Trogdon,

Your Publisher’s Notebook, “The Evil that Men Do” is a lazy attempt to encourage feel-good legislation that won’t move the needle on mass shootings. You question the “wisdom of letting just about anybody owning an assault weapon.” You go on to say you never felt the need to use a “machine gun.” Is this your definition of an assault weapon because if it is you should sleep well knowing that machine guns were banned in 1934. Or did you mean to say semi-automatic weapons? You fail to articulate what exactly your definition of an assault weapon is. Those on the left do the same thing, by design.

Did you know there have been many more mass shooters, (killed four or more,) who have used semi-automatic hand guns than semi-automatic rifles? If the left is successful at banning the long guns how long will it be before they come after the hand guns. I’ll tell you: immediately after the next mass shooting occurs.

And how about the proposed “red flag” laws? Who exactly determines who’s not fit to own a fire arm? Will due process be adhered to? We’ve seen the left try and push their way around due process during the Kavanaugh hearings. If the left had their way anyone attending a Trump rally or wearing a MAGA hat would be banned from owning a gun. I question Congress’ ability to craft legislation that will prevent mass shooting while maintaining the rights of freedom loving Americans.  There are too many dishonest brokers in Congress. Give them an inch and they’ll be back for a mile.

In my opinion, you left out two options on your reader poll, “what should be done to prevent mass shootings?”

  1. Eliminate gun free zones. These are areas that these sick animals know they can go where there will be the least resistance. They’re free to kill until law enforcement arrives.
  2. Craft policies that will help rebuild the family unit. This would also start the healing of a very divided nation.

The left will never be satisfied until there is a government confiscation of all guns. Any legislation has to be tight enough to ensure the rights of law-abiding gun owners. Anything less should be seen as unacceptable.

Thomas Sowell on the Origins of Economic Disparities

Published on May 17, 2019

Recorded on April 1, 2019 Is discrimination the reason behind economic inequality in the United States? Thomas Sowell dismisses that question with a newly revised edition of his book Discrimination and Disparities. He sits down with Peter Robinson to discuss the long history of disparities among humans around the world and throughout time. He argues that discrimination has significantly less of a role to play in inequality than contemporary politicians give it credit for, and that something as incontrovertible as birth order of children has a more significant and statistically higher impact on success than discrimination. He discusses why parental attention is the most important aspect of a child’s intellectual development. Sowell goes on to break down different minority groups around the world who went on to have more economic and political success than their majority counterparts, such as the Indians in East Africa, Jewish people in Eastern Europe, Cubans in the United States, and the Chinese in Malaysia. He argues that there is an underlying assumption that if discrimination was absent equality would prevail, which historically has been proven wrong. Sowell goes on to discuss changes in crime rates and poverty since the expansion of US welfare programs in the 1960s and how this has had a huge impact on the success of African Americans. He talks about his own experience growing up in New York, how housing projects used to be considered a positive place to live, and his experience as the first member of his family to enter the seventh grade. Robinson asks Sowell his thoughts on the case for reparations currently being made in Congress, and Sowell presents an argument about why a plan for reparations is not only illogical but also impossible to implement, with so many US citizens’ ancestors arriving long after the Civil War. He also explains that slavery was common throughout the known world for thousands of years and that abolition movements didn’t begin anywhere in the world until the late 18th century. He reminds us that the United States was not the only country guilty of participating in slavery and yet is the only country debating reparations.
