Comrades, earlier today dissident Governor Ron DeSantis spoke out against the latest effort of the Biden administration to create an official disinformation bureau with a dedicated mission to assist Big Tech and social media platforms in their control of speech. {Direct Rumble Link}

There is no dis-, mis-, or mal-information There is only information the Government wants you to hear, and the information the U.S. Govt disapproves of.  The DHS disinformation board is dedicated to dealing with the latter.

BEA Release, Wages Rise 4.5 Percent but Inflation Rises 6.6 Percent, Workers Fall Further Behind

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on April 29, 2022 | Sundance

The Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) released March and first quarter (Q1) data today on personal income and outlays [DATA HERE].  The results show an increase in Q1 wages of 4.5%. However, inflation is running 6.6% on the items workers need to purchase.  The net result on Main Street is unsustainable inside the economy.  The U.S. stock market is responding negatively to this release.

It’s easy to get caught up in the esoteric weeds, so my effort here is to show just what is happening by putting an overlay of checkbook economics into the BEA release.  If we take out the noise it is very easy to see the problem.  I have modified TABLE-4 to put the results into simple understandable terms.

(Table 4, Source)

By looking at the far-right column (Q1 2022) you can see the problem.  Wage growth at $268.00, minus taxes paid $51.40, leaves disposable income or take-home pay at $216.60.  However, our expenses for living (shelter, food, utilities, energy, etc) cost $398.50, leaving a deficit for our income of $181.90.  We either dip into our savings to cover our expenses, or we go into debt.  This is not sustainable.

If you look at Q1 last year, you can clearly see where all of the inflation is coming from.  That massive increase in income came from the federal COVID bailout and stimulus funds.  $4 trillion directly pumped into the economy at a time when Biden justified massive bailout spending by saying they needed to offset the economic cost of prior COVID intervention (businesses and workers shut down).  That is the primary source of current inflation.

If you take out that Q1 spend from the economic activity, the U.S. economy was already contracting.  This is why CTH has continued to say our economy was in a state of contraction since June/July of 2021.  Everything after that massive dump of money was false economic activity; the GDP growth was artificial.  That bailout spending dried up in the fall and winter of last year and now we see the 2022 GDP going negative.

In essence the GDP contraction that we should have seen in 2021 was delayed by the massive infusion of cash in April of 2021.  However, that massive infusion of cash created inflation.  That inflation has been a crisis that grew from the summer of 2021 to its apex in the last month.

♦ So, what does all of this mean?

Let’s cut to the chase.  As CTH accurately predicted previously, inflation comes in waves because supplier purchases are done in contract terms of 30, 60 and 90 days.  As each contract for purchased goods expires, the new prices for future goods are changed.  We see waves of inflation in roughly three-month increments, and while prices were rising faster on a daily and weekly basis, those wave cycles started in October of 2021.

Wave 1, came Oct/Nov/Dec 2021.

Wave 2, came Jan/Feb/March 2022.

We talked about each wave as it was coming and as it arrived.  Ultimately, Wave-2 was bigger than Wave-1 as the cumulative increases the total supply chain and manufacturing flowed into the products we purchase.

♦ Where are we now?   There are two sub-sets:

• Inflation on durable goods is now at the apex.  The durable goods price flatlines right now as all production costs are embedded in the cost of the product.  The prices of finished goods are now set; inflation has caught up to production; the prices of on-shelf and inbound deliveries are higher, but stable.

Now, we enter the phase where consumer demand becomes the dominant factor in price.  Simultaneously, demand is contracting because the higher rate of inflation in highly consumable goods (energy, utility costs, housing, gasoline, food) is now a spending priority for consumers and eating a larger portion of wages.   As a result, the price of durable goods is now dependent on the ability of the consumer to pay for them.

Sellers of durable goods are going to be chasing a smaller customer base who can afford them.  Durable goods prices will remain static, and now durable goods prices will likely become part of the competitive equation.  The businesses within the durable goods sector are going to have to find customers in order to stay in business.  Incentives will show up this spring/summer as businesses need customers.   If you are a wise, careful and smart shopper for durable goods you will find deals

• Inflation on consumable goods is not yet at the apex.  It’s likely close to production parity, but prices pressures are still volatile in the upward direction. The price of gasoline and transportation overall will be a big factor in current prices of highly consumable goods.  We should see oil, gas and energy prices stabilize first.

Rents will likely increase for another three to six months, then stabilize (and, in my opinion start to fall late summer).

Housing overall is far more challenging as mortgage rates are climbing.  Refinancing as a method to bridge the income gap between wages and expenses is a big problem now in this phase.  There is going to be a period of massive fluctuations and instability in the housing market depending on region and employment stability as the recession phase of the total economy is going to bite hard.

For most regions with mixed blend underlying economies (products and services) macro housing prices have peaked in the last 15 days.  For ordinary housing purchases, not institutional investments, we should start to see price decreases again as the customer base for high prices shrinks.  Obviously, this is driven by inventory and regional specifics; however, I am talking in the aggregate within the macro housing situation.

Food prices still have some upward pressures through Memorial day.  Then a period of stability will settle, before the third wave of food inflation hits later in the summer/fall of this year; that’s when the increases in farming costs will reach the fork.

Late summer and fall food prices will likely be 15 to 20 percent higher than current prices at the supermarket.  The fresh foods will be on the upper side of the future price wave, and the processed foods on the lower end; however, both will increase.

The last factors in the food price are far more challenging to predict….  Supply?   Any problems within the food production cycle that impacts supply will drive prices, beyond what we already expect.  If there are major shortages, the prices will go even higher.

This food environment is unfortunately the best time for Big Agriculture, the Wall Street multinationals, to make the most profit.  The Big Ag multinationals will exploit every possible angle within inventory, supply and harvest controls to maximize their profit equation.  There are a great deal of unknown global variables right now that could impact U.S. food prices later this year.  The only certainty is that prices will further increase.

Joe Biden sucks.

.

Footnote, pray for good weather and stability this summer. If it is an active hurricane season, gasoline, oil exploration and refinery issues will make matters worse. The southern coastal areas, especially Florida, Louisiana and Texas need a non-dramatic summer.

The Insanity of Stupid People in Power Pushing for War – Rejecting Peace

Armstrong Economics Blog/Ukraine Re-Posted Apr 29, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has backed Liz Truss’ view that Russian forces must be pushed out of “the whole of Ukraine” – and suggested this should include Crimea. Even the Guardian has accused Liz Truss’ position is “recklessly inflaming Ukraine’s war to serve her own ambition.” Meanwhile, in Russia, this is playing out on TV endorsing World War III. The Russian is of Britain’s Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss, is that the war in Ukraine is a war in which is the West openly seeking the destruction of Russia. Moscow has come to the realization that this is already World War III, and the comment emerging from London is that Britain will not back down until they achieve the complete victory over Moscow. Boris Johnson apparently told Zelensky not to accept any deal with Putin. There are no peacemakers among them only warmongers.

Socrates has NEVER been wrong on such geopolitical forecasts. These people at the helm of the West are totally insane. They seem to think they can actually destroy Russia, overthrow Putin, and somehow the Russian people will welcome their liberation. For years, I have warned that post-2032, we are staring into the eyes of the collapse of the West. The financial capital of the world will shift to China. I put out those forecasts years ago.

There is simply a cycle to everything. The rise and fall of nations also follow a cyclical beat. I have put out those forecasts long before these events. How Empires Die illustrates that there is a cycle to the rise and fall of empires, nations, and city-states. If that statement were not true, we should all still be speaking Babylonian.

Nobody wishes these forecasts would be wrong more so than I. This is not something in which I take pleasure in pounding my chest and screaming I told you so! I have grandchildren who will never know the freedom or peace in which I grew up. All I can do is try to scream loud enough that maybe we can not prevent the outcome, but reduce the volatility during this transition.

Biden Wages War on Free Speech

Armstrong Economics Blog/Freedom of Speech Re-Posted Apr 29, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

“The extreme antibody reaction from those who fear free speech says it all,” Elon Musk tweeted days after purchasing Twitter. Musk has long been a proponent for free speech. “I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech means,” he tweeted. Despite his goal to provide a free community with open dialogue, the left has been in a serious panic.

Senator Elizabeth Warren, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and others immediately called for more taxes and a review of Article 230: “No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider.” Where was this outrage when billionaire Jeff Bezos bought out the Washington Post? The White House claims that reforms to section 230 are not due to Musk, but the timing is no coincidence.

Days after Musk publicly admitted that it was wrong for Twitter to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story, Biden declared war on free speech. Biden stepped on the First Amendment by creating a “Disinformation Governance Board” to combat “misinformation.” Nina Jankowicz, who worked on “disinformation” campaigns surrounding Russia and Ukraine, will lead the censorship board. Jankowicz has previously called the Hunter laptop debacle a “Trump campaign product,” and only appears to censor conservative voices. She previously tweeted in 2020 that Russia and Trump were behind the “laptop from hell” and promoted Hillary’s Russian collusion hoax.

President Biden is illegally stifling free speech to save face. He does not conservatives to be heard before the midterm elections. Worse, he does not want anyone to know the true contents of his son’s laptop or how he was involved. If Trump did the same for Donald Jr, he would have been impeached and written off by every media outlet.

Bishop Evans – Soldier Dead Amid Texas Invasion

Armstrong Economics Blog/North America Re-Posted Apr 29, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Failing to control the US-Mexico border is costing lives on both sides. Spc. Bishop Evans of the National Guard lost his life after heroically jumping into the Rio Grande to save two migrants who were drowning. The situation has become so dire that 23 migrants have drowned trying to cross the Rio Grande in April alone. The 22-year-old field artilleryman was one of the 10,000 National Guard members deployed to Texas under Operation Lone Star.

Governor Abbott’s pleas for help to secure the border have fallen on deaf ears at the White House. Operation Lone Star was launched in March by Abbott in an effort to increase Texas-Mexico border security, with $2 billion in Texas legislation allotted to the effort. The bill has been controversial as the state simply does not have the resources to handle the large influx.

In Bishop Evans’ sad case, the military said he did not have the proper equipment for his assignment. “We only received about 25 percent of the requested equipment due to delays from the vendor and global supply chain issues,” the Texas Military Department’s public affairs staff stated. Calls are growing for Abbott to declare an invasion, but he would face a slew of backlash from the current administration. Texas is almost out of options for securing the border without help from the federal government.

Poland Pushing the World toward World War III

Armstrong Economics Blog/Russia Re-Posted Apr 29, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: I don’t get it, Poland won’t pay for gas in rubles, when I buy something from the US I have to pay in US dollars not Canadian, so what am I missing?

CM

ANSWER: Politics! Minister of Climate and Environment, Anna Moskwa clearly has zero comprehension of geopolitics. She has come out and said that the European Union should penalize countries that use roubles to pay for Russian gas. In response to Moscow’s decision to cut off supplies to Poland and Bulgaria over their refusal to do so. Moskwa has come out and said: “Poland holds necessary gas reserves and sources of supply which protect our security because for years we have been becoming effectively independent of Russia. Our storage facilities are full at 76%. Polish households will not run short of gas.” This is what she said during a press conference held on April 26th, 2022 at the Ministry of Climate and Environment.

The absurdity of her statements is beyond belief. To think that refusing to buy Russian energy will bring Putin to his knees pleading for mercy is just absurd. She makes no criticism of Ukraine and its notorious corruption of the fact that it is being reported that Zelensky has stashed over $800 million in offshore accounts while demanding $7 billion per month in aid. Even the IMF cut off Ukraine because it is so corrupt. You cannot do business in Ukraine – period! There is NOTHING that Zelensky says which can be verified independently and he will say whatever to keep the money pouring in.

Ukrainian corruption has been a systemic problem that the IMF has been complaining about since 2016. I am warning people that the corruption in Ukraine is off the charts. Reliable sources have warned that you have to pay bribes and if you pay the wrong people, you and your family are still beaten because there is a wholesale level of corruption by many groups.

Ukraine has long been a place you do not do business for you really have to count your fingers just shaking hands. Even the Ukraine press warns that reforms are always blocked. Even Ukraine’s former governor Valeria Gontareva of its central bank has come out and told the International Monetary Fund must act decisively to protect the independence of Ukraine’s central bank against Zelensky.

Nevertheless, at the same time, Poland is constructing a wall to keep the Ukrainians out for what they are not telling people is the truth. Meanwhile, sources in Poland are reporting to me that the Ukrainian refugees are complaining they are not being given more money. Some claim they got more in Ukraine and are returning. As always, nothing appears to be as the headlines present it.

The statements of Anna Moskwa are in and of themselves just absurd. She has adopted the narrative of the Neocons who want war and the net result of her statements is supporting the division of the world economy pushing us ever closer to World War III which may begin in 2023. Poland’s reserves will NOT last forever.

Crisis is Shutting Down – Capital Flows Begin

Armstrong Economics Blog/Q&A Re-Posted Apr 29, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION #1: Now that Canadian banks have proven themselves completely compromised by Trudeau and his bootlickers, is there a “safer” haven for $CAD? US$ accounts held by Canadian banks are available but are they really any better?

D

QUESTION #2: Dear Mr. Armstrong, Thanks to your Blog I learned a long time ago that Europeans should get their money out of Europe while they still can (into USA). I did that, but now the Wells Fargo bank asked me to close the account. Apparently because since Biden’s new government came to power a new Federal law requires now all banks (including in Florida) to get proof of a residence in the USA. I can not even enter the USA anymore because I’m not vaccinated. Could you please help? What can we do now? Thank you.

FV

ANSWER: I believe a European/Non-American can open an investment account such as a money market in the United States. I know that Merrill’s money market is done through a specific group at Merrill that only works with international clients. They then report back to your home country where you have an account. The hunt for money is really global now.

The US is already starting to cooperate with Europe given the capital flows to the US in the wake of the stupidity over Ukraine. As long as the West continues to fill the pockets of Zelensky, who is now believed to have $850 million stashed offshore, then there is no resolution. Zelensky has no incentive to negotiate an end to this as long as arms and money pour into Ukraine. Let Donbas go with Crimea, which is Russian anyhow, and stop pushing for World War III. The West simply wants war with Russia, or they would not be sending arms to Ukraine and pushing Zelensky to settle.

For now, the capital flows are pointing to the dollar as the safe haven given the prospects of war in Europe. This trend appears to be in motion into 2024. Thereafter, we have the risk of a global war on a grand scale.

Tucker Carlson Emphasizes the Mission Priority of Newest DHS Agency, Disinformation Governance Board

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on April 28, 2022 | sundance

In his opening monologue tonight, Fox News host Tucker Carlson outlined the latest Dept of Homeland Security agency, the “Disinformation Governance Board,” and the head of the social media control agency, Nina Jankowicz.  WATCH:

BACKGROUND – Previously the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) announced a new Dept of Homeland Security priority to combat disinformation {LINK} on technology platforms including social media.

Many eyebrows were raised as the announcement appeared to be an open admission that the U.S. government was going to control information by applying labels… that would align with allies in social media…. who need a legal justification for censorship and content removal.

This CISA announcement was quickly followed by various government officials and agencies saying it was critical to combat Russian disinformation, as the events in Ukraine unfolded.  In essence, Ukraine was the justification for search engines like Google, DuckDuckGo, and social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to begin targeting information and content that did not align with the official U.S. government narrative.

Previously those same methods were deployed by the U.S. government, specifically the CDC and FDA, toward COVID-19 and the vaccination program. All of this background aligns with the previous visibility of a public-private partnership between the bureaucracy of government, the U.S. intelligence agencies and U.S. social media.  That partnership now forms the very cornerstone of the DHS/CISA effort to control what information exists in the public space.  It is highly important that people understand what is happening.

In July of 2021 the first admission of the official agenda behind the public-private partnership was made public {Reuters Article}.

What we are seeing now is an extension of the government control mechanisms, combined with a severe reaction by all stakeholders to the latest development in the Twitter takeover.

For two years the control mechanisms around information have been cemented by govt and Big Tech.  Even the deployment of the linguistics around disinformation, misinformation and malinformation is all part of that collective effort.  The collaboration between the government and Big Tech is not a matter for debate, it is all easily referenced by their own admissions.   The current issue is how they are deploying the information controls.

We have COVID-19, the vaccination effort and now Ukraine as examples of the collaboration to control information, to control what people are permitted to question and discuss on the internet.  Now things are getting much more detailed, and more alarming.

Shortly after Elon Musk made a bid to purchase a single information platform, Twitter, and then expressed his intent to open the speech valves, former Obama administration intelligence officials wrote a letter {SEE HERE} warning about efforts to break up the information control by Big Tech and Social Media.

That letter was shortly followed by a speech delivered by Obama himself where he specifically demanded that government take a larger role in the control of information {LINK}, essentially promoting an Orwellian ‘Ministry of Truth’ to control information in the public sphere.

The internet search engine operators have already agreed to align with the interests of the government.  That’s not debatable as in the examples of Google {LINK) and DuckDuckGo {LINK} to name just two.  Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube have famously also expressed their intent to align with the control of information, based on the instructions and edicts of the same U.S. government agencies.   Again, this is not a conspiratorial claim, it is self admitted and we have all witnessed it.

Today, however, we are seeing the architecture of how they plan to organize the tools.

(POLITICO) – “DHS is standing up a new Disinformation Governance Board to coordinate countering misinformation related to homeland security, focused specifically on irregular migration and Russia. Nina Jankowicz will head the board as executive director. She previously was a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center, advised the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry as part of the Fulbright Public Policy Fellowship and oversaw Russia and Belarus programs at the National Democratic Institute.” (link)

You can read more about Nina Jankowicz and her ideological alignment with the control mechanisms here and here.  The bigger picture issue is that DHS will now work around any independence of social media, vis-a-vis Twitter as a free speech platform, by defining the parameters of allowed conversation.   A bureaucratic board within DHS will now serve as the group who defines what can and cannot be discussed.

Here’s Ms. Jankowicz in September of 2020.    The head of the DHS governance board, Nina Jankowicz, claiming that color revolutions are an appropriate response to rigged elections, but they will never rise in the U.S.  WATCH:

It doesn’t take a deep thinker to see exactly where this is going.  Various U.S. government agencies will now define their interests.  The definitions will then be transmitted to the officers within big tech and social media, and any entity who dares to challenge that govt definition or govt narrative will be targeted for content removal.

Permitted speech will be defined by government agencies, and the mechanisms for controlling, targeting or removing speech that challenges that narrative will now lead to content removal.  The shift here, the part that must be emphasized, is the official justification in the terms and conditions of the social media platform operators will come from U.S. government agencies, not the platform itself.

Against this backdrop it is not a surprise why Elon Musk’s entry into the information space is now considered a risk.

…”The 2016 U.S. presidential election and the Brexit vote that same year gave Silicon Valley executives, U.S. elected officials and the public a peek into what can go wrong when social media companies opt not to wade too deeply into what people say on their sites.”… (link)

.

On the positive side, CTH 2.0 was built with precisely this big tech censorship and targeting prediction at the forefront of our assembly.

The proprietary tech and networks we put into place, and the layers within it, are designed to make this website antifragile.   This includes the optimized features that crossover to mobile devices.  Over 94% of CTH traffic does not come from or through any internet search engine.

CTH was built to be a lighthouse, a fortified bunker visible to the outside and yet not fragile to any threat from systems under the control of big tech or any corporate entity.   Many websites are constructed and assembled for maximum reach.  As a result the architecture is built with a different set of priorities.  That’s not us.

This is our labor of love, always has been.  The truth has no agenda.

CTH is fortified so the beacon can always broadcast.  It doesn’t make us flashy, fancy or filled with technology that many may prefer.  The structure is counterintuitive to almost every tech engineer.  However, it provides security and guaranteed impenetrable user privacy for you and all our ragtag misfit friends in the Rebel Alliance.

In essence, with the ten years of experience that preceded CTH 2.0, we built it for the battle we always knew would loom….

….. And here we are.
