The Demographics & How West v East Cope with the Change

In the West, girls are simply not having enough children. This is undermining the entire social structure. The welfare system is dependent upon the population increasing, or at the bare minimum remaining unchanged. Europe has secretly allowed refugees in to try to make up for the decline in population that will undermine their highly socialistic economic system. The contrast with the West stands in China and Korea. In the case of China, here too there is a shrinkage in population. However, unlike the West, China is neither adopting Quantitative Easing or allowing an influx of refugees in.

In the case of Korea, they are hoping for a reunification with the North. This, they hope, will compensate for the shrinkage in their population. Historically, the more economically advanced a society becomes, the fewer children the women have. Even in ancient Rome, the first Emperor Augustus passed family laws and would fine men who would not marry and have children.

Once again, history reveals the trends are consistent throughout the centuries.

Are 95% of Bitcoin Trades Fake?

QUESTION: Mr. Armstrong; I love the fact you always stand in the middle. Do you believe that 95% of Bitcoin Trading is fake?

Thank you

KL

ANSWER: I did not conduct that study. It does sound a bit high. However, manipulation has been a historical problem in the commodity world. As I stated before, the manipulations were common practice in commodities during the 1970s. It was brought to Wall Street when Phibro took over Solomon Brothers in the early 80s. By 1991, they were charged with manipulating the US government bond market. How did they do that? The very same way these allegations of fake Bitcoin trades are taking place. You put in bids to pretend the market is deep and so you buy ever increasing the price.

Do I personally believe there is fake trading in Bitcoin taking place off-exchange? Absolutely. Would I assume that 95% is fake? I would question that high of a number. I would have to review their criteria for classifying a trade as fake. I would probably place it at the 50%+ level but not 95%. That is just my opinion based upon historical levels of manipulations in commodities.

For example, I knew the Hunt brothers as clients in the early 1970s. Only a few months before the high, the world suddenly knew what they were up to. That info was spread by the dealers to get everyone in the retail market to rush in and buy silver with claims it was heading to $100. But the dealers, I believe, bribed the CFTC and the exchange into raising margins to be long on silver and making shorts required to put up a fraction of that margin requirement. The dealers shorted silver, the public lost, and they bankrupted the Hunts. They made so much money that they then began to buy Wall Street.

Smollett Drama – Cook County State Attorney Now Says Sealing Case Was Done Accidentally…

Whoopsie, Chicago State Attorney corruption is going into ludicrous mode.  According to an interview with ABC7, Cook County State Attorney Kim Foxx is now claiming all the activity to seal evidence in the Jussie Smolett case was done “inadvertently”.

Yeah, yeah…. that’s the ticket.  The keyboards and computers self-activated and typed up the motion to the Judge, and then convinced the clerk of courts to accept the motion filing all just accidental and stuff… or something.  Nothing to see here, Russians! Gottabe…

Oh yeah, and don’t overlook that pesky admission that Ms. Foxx didn’t actually recuse herself from the case, as previously claimed.  She’s admitting she participated. D’oh!

CHICAGO (WLS) — Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx defended her office’s decision to drop all charges against “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett, who was accused of staging a racist and homophobic attack on himself.

“I believe this is a just outcome based on the circumstances,” Foxx said on Wednesday, a day after the charges were dropped.

In an interview on Wednesday, she said the practice of dropping charges in exchange for community service and restitution is not uncommon for the Class 4 felonies that Smollett was charged with.

“We believe that the facts were sufficient to charge and try Mr. Smollett for the crimes,” Foxx said.

While a court did not find him guilty, she said: “Based on the facts and the evidence that was presented in the charging decision that was made by this office, this office believed that they could prove him guilty.”

Foxx had recused herself from the case a week prior to Smollett being charged when it appeared that the actor had gone from victim to suspect. She recused herself after speaking with a “relative” of Smollett, but not Smollett himself. Foxx said it is not uncommon for her to speak to victims and their families.

“The family had reached out, I think to me, largely because they didn’t have a connection to the police department, asking if there was a way to make sure that the leaks in the case were to a minimum,” Foxx said.

Foxx added: “I don’t want any speculation or concern, I don’t even want the appearance, that my involvement with this case, now having talked to a family member, would in any way impede this investigation.”

She was connected to the family through Tina Tchen, the former chief of staff to Michelle Obama.

In a statement, Tchen said: “I know members of the Smollett family based on prior work together. Shortly after Mr. Smollett reported he was attacked, as a family friend, I contacted Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx, who I also know from prior work together. My sole activity was to put the chief prosecutor in the case in touch with an alleged victim’s family who had concerns about how the investigation was being characterized in public.”  (read more)

Unless some better explanation surfaces, here’s the lesson of this weird turn in the Smollett case:
You can contrive a hate crime, make it a national news, get caught and-if you are a well-connected celebrity-get off for $10K and have your record expunged and files sealed.

16.9K people are talking about this

Threat Alert – West Virginia Police Shut Down I-68, Capture Armed Suspect With Explosives Threatening POTUS and Pentagon…

This is a breaking story, so stay tuned.  Details are sketchy. Here’s what we know so far.  West Virginia State Police and U.S. Secret Service agents shut down part of interstate 68 in West Virginia following an alert of a 42-year-old male heading to Washington DC to carry out a threat against President Trump and the Pentagon.

State police, ATF and FBI officers responded. A 42-year old male has been apprehended.  I-68 is now re-opened. A vehicle search revealed a firearm and explosive powder.

W-VA – […] State Police Captain Shallon Oglesby said the shutdown came after a routine traffic stop at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday for speeding along the eastbound lanes.

The trooper determined that the stop would require an “in-depth investigation” leading to the shutdown, Oglesby said.

State Police and Preston officials would not confirm reports that the incident involves explosives.

The FBI arrived on scene to assist, an FBI spokeswoman confirmed Wednesday afternoon. (read more)

Inverted Yield Curve Points to Recession?

Last week, the yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury bill fell below that of the 3-month note for the first time since 2007. This is what everyone calls an Inverted Yield Curve, and is seen as an early indicator of a recession. In that regard, it is conforming to the Economic Confidence Model (ECM) which has been warning that this last leg should be a hard landing economically for most of the world. Nonetheless, while the yield curve has inverted, it has done so in a rather unusual manner. This is NOT suggesting a major recession in the United States. Instead, it is a reflection of global uncertainty outside the USA.

This Inverted Yield Curve is confirming that as the political chaos emerging around the world, and that more and more foreign capital is parking in the dollar. With the May elections on the horizon in Europe, and the October elections in even Canada, April elections in Israel … etc. etc., the capital flows are still pointing ever stronger into the dollar right now. The foreign capital has been buying the 10-year notes driving the spread lower.

We can see that the 10-year premium to the 2-years has been in a major decline ever since our War Cycle turned in 2014. The Yield Curve (10-2yr) has not inverted. This is clearly showing the capital flight to the dollar that has been going on post-2014. This is not reflecting a major recession in the USA, but it is inferring that the ECM will be turning soon
