Fear of Global Cooling and Falling Iguanas

For this old geologist the change from carbon causing cooling to causing global warming with no change in its place in the periodic table has been fascinating

Re-Posted from the Canada Free Press By Bob Hoye —— Bio and ArchivesDecember 29, 2020

Atweet from the National Weather Service in Miami: “Brrr! Much colder temps expected for Christmas. Falling iguanas are possible”.

On Christmas Day, the Associated Press reported: “With unexpectedly cold weather in the forecast and pandemic-related curfews. Florida is about to have a Christmas unlike any other in recent memory, and it may involve falling iguanas.”

It seems that the lizards which are cold-blooded like to sleep in trees. But when it gets unusually cold their body temperature drops enough, they go sort of dormant. And in losing their grip fall from the branches. Without warning, which was part of the weather alert that temps could be the lowest in some 21 years.

The outstanding climate site WUWT recently ran a list of over 100 climate alarms. These range from dire warnings about another ice age—from using too much fossil fuels—to global warming. For the same reason.

Fear of The World Frying

“The lowest winter temperatures are likely to increase in Northern Europe…The duration of the snow season is very likely to shorten and snow depth is likely to decrease.” – IPCC Climate Change, 2007.

“All simulations show the trend of less snowfall will continue into the future. And winter sports will no longer be possible.” – Liebnitz Institute for Oceanography, February 17, 2005.

However, this winter seems to be generating some concerning news stories – about too much snow. And even one about too much cold in Brazil.

“More Record Lows in Brazil” – Coutiniho, November 7, 2020.

“Snow Chaos – Record Snowfall Causes Mayhem in Austria” – Today, RTZ.Lu, December 9, 2020.

“Delhi, Weather: IMD Records Coldest October in 58 Years” – The Quint, October 31, 2020.

“Record Snowfall in New York State” – WGRZ.com, December 26, 2020.

“Texas Snowfall Almost As Far South As Austin” – NBC, Dallas-Fort Worth, December 28, 2020.

Fear of Another Ice Age

“The world has been chilling sharply…At twice what it would take to put us in an ice Age.” – Earth Day 1970, Kenneth Watt, Ecologist.

“Discharge into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuel will screen out so much of the sun’s rays that the Earth’s average temperature could fall by six degrees. Sustained emissions over five to ten years, could be sufficient to trigger an Ice Age.” – Washington Post, July 9, 1971.

Now, just where did the Washington Post sensationalism come from?

From a paper published by NASA physicists Rasool and Schneider in 1971:

“For aerosols, however, the net effect of increases in density is to reduce the surface temperature of the Earth. If sustained over a period of several years, such a temperature decrease over the whole globe is believed to be sufficient to trigger an ice age.”

In other articles at the time, “aerosols” mainly meant carbon particulates emitted by burning fossil fuels. Indeed, an article published by “New Scientist” in December 2003 quoted James Hansen on increasing amounts of particulate carbon in the atmosphere causing global warming.

Hansen, the “father” of global warming hysteria, was quoted: “It causes a strong warming effect”.

For this old geologist the change from carbon causing cooling to causing global warming with no change in its place in the periodic table has been fascinating.

But to go with the mandated fad, global warming due to whatever reason could eventually diminish fears about falling iguanas.

Australia’s Wind Issues- The Canary in a Coal Mine For Other Countries?

Will any learn from Australia’s experience. Want to make a bet?

Re-Posted from the Canada Free Press By Jack Dini —— Bio and ArchivesDecember 29, 2020

The newest and biggest wind project to date in Australia is to undergo major repairs after faults were found in its commissioning process. Wind turbines at the Coppers Gap wind farm in Australia had to be repaired or replaced before they were even put into service. (1)

The blades of one of the 123 turbines will have to be replaced entirely, while GE Catcon is also going  to replace ‘generators’- referring to the equipment in the nacelle at the top of the wind tower —in a further 50 turbines.

The issues at Coppers Gap add to a terrible run of problems for some of Australia’s largest wind farms, including the delays to the commissioning of the 336MW Dundonnell wind farm, and the fall of a blade from one of its turbines that stopped all production for several days.

Other major wind farms are also taking much longer to be completed than originally expected. Coopers Gap has been running about one year behind its original schedule.  1

Further, the 420MW Macarthur wind farm delivered a relatively low capacity factor of just 26 percent last year.

This kind of story is common in many wind farms, and is further proof that they are nothing but horrendously expensive virtue signaling white elephants, reports Andy Rowlands.

Solar Panels on Households

In Australia, as many as a quarter of solar panels pose a high or severe ‘electrical safety’ risk. Since there are two million households with solar panels, that’s half a million homes sitting under a live problem.  2

A national audit revealed that between 21 and 26 percent of small-scale rooftop solar installations inspected every year since 2011 had been found to have faulty wiring and unsecured panels. Some posed a ‘severe risk’ where wiring was exposed. This required units to be shut down immediately and remediated. A total of 35 licensed installation contractors have been warned they face the possibility of suspension.

Australian massive daily spikes and collapses in wind and solar power output

Then there are hailstorms. As Joanne Nova reports, here’s a problem coal fired plants don’t need to worry about. “Sydney’s recent ‘catastrophic’ hailstorm resulted in a damage bill said to top $125 million. How much of that damage is to rooftop Solar PV? The last massive hail storm in Sydney was in 1999- but there were hardy any solar panels then.”  3

Before anyone blames climate change, stories about hail the size of eggs have fallen in Sydney in 1929 and other places in 1934. Perhaps building 2 million solar panels on a continent with hail the size of tea cups was not such a good idea.

Investment Disappearing

Australian massive daily spikes and collapses in wind and solar power output have resulted in new rules about grid access for intermittent wind and solar and, much to the horror of the wind and solar industries, government is actually enforcing them. 4

Dozens of proposed wind farms and large-scale solar projects have been shelved, simply because they can’t be guaranteed of ever being able to deliver a single watt into the grid.

To their credit, it appears that investors are none too keen to hand over their cash to build projects which will never earn a dollar.

 Summary

What about the canary in the coal mine? This is destined to hit California in spades as the insane legislature has made solar panels required for all new construction starting in 2020. Other states probably have similar plans. Will any learn from Australia’s experience. Want to make a bet?

Did Biden Get a Real Vaccine or Water?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Disease Re-Posted Dec 22, 2020 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: Do you think Biden really got the vaccine?

ANSWER: Absolutely no way. Aside from the fact that he is too old and in the danger zone for vaccines anyhow, there are far too many people who have serious reactions to the vaccine. It has been widespread and serious enough to warrant an investigation. The FDA has opened a formal investigation of these allergic reactions to Pfizer vaccine reported in multiple states as well as in Britain.

Bill Gates has himself admitted that if he vaccinates the entire world, a small percentage will die from the allergic reaction – 700,000 people to be exact. Now ask yourself this. Would they EVER risk really giving a vaccine to Biden or ANY OTHER high profile person staging this before the cameras? The answer is no way! If Biden died that would be the end of their program. They could NEVER afford that to happen.

It’s called risk management.

Ministry of Pennsylvania COVID Compliance Bans Alcohol Sales For Thanksgiving – Restricts School Attendance, and Non-Compliant Family Gatherings…

Comrades, the Pennsylvania authorities have announced new COVID-19 compliance dictates to ensure full control during the holiday week.   “Under the new order, bars and restaurants will not be permitted to sell beer and liquor between 5 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday morning.”  Welcome to selective COVID prohibition, because a virus…

Additionally, all schools must now restrict attendance and comply with “full remote learning.”  It is all for your best interest citizen as explained by the command and governing authority: “Having someone in your home who does not live with you – not part of your household – even if they are part of your extended family, or your close friends, puts your entire household at risk.”

Be a good citizen and snitch on your neighbors.

Pennsylvania – officials are issuing new orders and advisories they are calling “additional safeguards” as they work to slow the spread of coronavirus across the state.

Gov. Tom Wolf made the announcement alongside Pennsylvania Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine during a press conference on Monday afternoon.

[…] Schools that do not sign the form or fail to comply are required to provide only fully remote learning and suspend all extracurricular activities as long as the county remains in the substantial transmission level.

The Democratic governor also reissued orders intended to protect businesses, employees, and customers. The orders include reiterating cleaning and social distancing requirements, mandatory telework requirements unless impossible, and other safety measures.  (read more)

The Importance of Fellowship…

Posted originally on The Conservative Tree house on November 22, 2020 by sundance

It’s hard to believe the image below was originally shared on these pages and discussed almost a decade ago.  There was just something about the shift in messaging from the totalitarian left that sounded an internal alarm amid those who were focused on the open dismissal of liberty and freedom that resounded from the drumbeat of the Obama era:

“Fundamental change” was a looming catch phrase many just seemed to ignore.  And here we are… divided by a network of seemingly intoxicating systems; many purposefully driven by the modern dynamic of social media, steering a tribal outcome we are only now just beginning to fathom. Ultimately what the collective weight of progressiveness is putting upon us is isolation.  There are so many historic references to this strategic sentiment it is disconcerting to review with hindsight.

I am not a sage, but we saw this coming…. we just didn’t know the entry vector that would be used to accomplish the final stages of diminished freedom and individual liberty.  As we look at the current COVID-19 mandates and dictates one cannot easily dismiss the weaponized use of a virus to attain division under the guise of “social distancing.”

When we initially asked the question: “where would you choose to live“, we had no idea a virus would be purposeful to enhance the objectives of social engineering, isolation and ultimately, painfully, oppression.  Oblivious to the grand design, we allowed a seemingly disparate network of big tech companies to control communication.  The COVID aspect now generates in the physical world exactly the same distance created in the digital world.

In/around July it was obvious in my travels we were on the precipice of a disconnect from human interaction that would numb our psyche to what ultimately matters, fellowship.

Not only are various governmental agencies forcing the separation of people from their community networks, we are also seeing faith-based organizations, churches, buying into the fear.  Even in areas where churches are not forcibly shut down, many are seeing a structural shift where some faith leaders are willingly ostracizing their community under the guise of various COVID alarms.  This is not good…. not good at all.

Fellowship is the essential ingredient to a purposeful life.  How and why we interact with each-other is how and why we recharge our core humanity.  To see faith leaders willing to separate from the function of fellowship is alarming.  However, as individuals we must not allow this foreboding sense to become the normal expectation.

Throughout history large armies have been defeated through the process of division.  It is not a leap to see the same strategic objectives being deployed against social assemblies including congregations.  It is puzzling how leadership cannot see the danger in social and spiritual distance when the bond of fellowship is needed more than ever.

Each of us has a different connection to our community. Each of us has a different level of internal strength… such is the nature of living.  However, the distance between people is manifestly not a good outcome when combined with the lack of food for the soul.

The influence of social media is already troublesome, physically distancing from human engagement only worsens the impact.  There is no digital replacement for the true fellowship of humanity on a personal level.

Ultimately it is the currency of human connection that is the true value in our lives.

We have each felt how our positive influence upon the lives of others nourishes our own sense of purpose and fulfillment… Do not lose that.  Do not think you can compensate for that through other arbitrary measures; you cannot.

With local, state and now federal leaders moving beyond the workplace distance; and beyond the community distance; and beyond the church distance; and now entering your home to tell you the importance of separating yourself from your family during a time of year when that very assembly is the core of your support network… you must evaluate these arbitrary decrees very deliberately.

Evaluate very closely what you are willing to give up.  Perhaps we are in this position today because we didn’t sit still enough and contemplate the real priorities in our lives.

Our liberty is inherent.

Our freedom is inherent.

The removal of both requires consent.

I choose not to disconnect.

I choose purpose.

I choose my own humanity.

Love to all,

~ Sundance

[…] I asked a gentleman for the location to a convenience store to purchase some mints to chew throughout the day.  I was directed to a specific store.

When I made my purchase, the mask on the other side of the counter was as sad as many that day, but I felt compelled to ask how she was doing.  The typical “been better” was the return.  However, as I started to walk away… I turned back: “what’s wrong”?

For the next few minutes I listened as I met a mom of four kids who was 15 days from a COVID-based eviction.  There was really no-one to blame; and worse, for her no-where to turn.  She was looking for housing grants to avoid the most painful decision in her short 30-year-life.

You see, there was a reason why I went into that store that afternoon, at least that’s what I told her; and there was a reason why she was there.  In part with your support, and after putting all other tasks in the appropriately unimportant place they deserved, WE (yes, you and me) together found a solution and provided the resources she needed.   Starfish dude strikes again… this time with His help and your help.

It would have been very easy to walk out and accept that simple: “been better”. Heck, I think of all the times I have done that before…. but not this time.  This time something nagged about it…. and so I turned around and found tears, fellowship – and mints.

The next day another stroll, a little lost, and a veteran on the street… I can’t tell you his story because that’s for another day… but it is just as important and just as profound.  As I walked away from him many minutes later he yelled at me: “HEY DUDE”.  I turned my unmasked smile back in his direction only to have him say: “we need more people like you in charge”…  Thumbs up, and I continued my travels.

Which is really the point of writing all this.  Our nation needs more people like you, right now.  Don’t wait… engage life, get optimistic however you need to do it. Then let that part of you shine right now… This is how we fight.  Hold up that flag; give the starter smile… rally to the standard you create and spread fellowship again.

God knows we need it.

Darren Nesbit – Stick Your New World Order Up Your Arse We Are The 99

A Technical Study in the Relationships of Solar Flux, Water, Carbon Dioxide and Global Temperatures, October 2020 Data

Carbon Dioxide CO2 is not making “ANY” dangerous changes to the global temperature!

From the attached report on climate change for October 2020 Data we have the two charts showing how much the global temperature has actually gone up since we started to measure CO2 in the atmosphere? To show this graphically Chart 8 was constructed by plotting CO2 as a percent increase from when it was first measured in 1958, the Black plot, the scale is on the left and it shows CO2 going up a bit over 31.0% from 1958 to October of 2020. That is a very large change as anyone would have to agree.  Now how about temperature, well when we look at the percentage change in temperature from 1958, using Kelvin (which does measure the change in heat), we find that the changes in global temperature (heat) are almost un-measurable. The scale on the right side had to be expanded 10 times (the range is 40 % on the left and 4% on the right) to be able to see the plot in the same chart in any detail. The red plot, starting in 1958, shows that the thermal energy in the earth’s atmosphere increased by .40%; while CO2 has increased by 31.0% which is 78 times that of the increase in temperature. So is there really a meaningful link between them that would give as a major problem? The numbers tell us no there isn’t.

The next chart is Chart 8a which is the same as Chart 8 except for the scales which are the same for both CO2 and Temperature. As you see the increase in energy, heat, is not visually observably in this chart hence the need for the previous chart 8 to show the minuscule increase in thermal energy shown by NASA in relationship to the change in CO2. Based to these trends, determined by excel not me, in 2028 CO2 will be 428 ppm and temperatures will be 15.0o Celsius and in 2038 CO2 will be 458 ppm and temperatures will be 15.6O Celsius. This is what the data shows no matter what the reasons are, so I have no idea how the IPCC gets to predict that the world will end in ten or even twenty years.

The full 40 page report explains how these charts were developed and why using NASA and NOAA data that are used without change to prove that The New Green Deal is not required and any attempt to complete that plan will be a worldwide disaster.

San Francisco Going Just Insane

Armstrong Economics Blog/The Hunt for Taxes Re-Posted Nov 19, 2020 by Martin Armstrong

First, San Francisco just banned Natural Gas in any new buildings, requiring them to rely on the electric grid instead. The city’s board of supervisors unanimously approved the ordinance which will apply to more than 54,000 homes and 32 million square feet of business space that was approved for construction. They do not have the power generation to support that and a power grid failure means even the food people have will go bad without electricity and they cannot even cook on a stove or microwave. What do you do if power is out for weeks?

Secondly, San Franciso passed the CEO tax. The tax applies to companies in which the highest-paid managerial employee earns 100 times more than the median worker in San Francisco. Businesses above this 100 to 1 threshold pay an extra surcharge on their gross receipts. The greater the inequality, the bigger the tax. Companies with an executive earning 200 times the median worker in the city incur a 0.2% tax, all the way up to 0.6%. For large firms (businesses with more than $1 billion in gross receipts and 1,000 employees nationwide), the tax is applied to up to 2.4% of its city payroll expenses. The bill is expected to bring in between $60 million and $140 million per year, about 0.4% to 1% of the city’s annual budget.

This tax is really problematic. It is a tax on the company rather than the executive. But generally, these large pay-outs are stock options – not cash. So if the stock doubles in price, the CEO would make a theoretical windfall and the company would pay a surcharge which could impact the shareholders and could even reduce the workforce.

Is Climate Change Caused Only by the Sun?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Climate Re-Posted Oct 27, 2020 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: Do you think the entire climate change is caused by the sun?

KS

ANSWER: No. Nothing can be reduced to a single cause and effect. There is a 300-year cycle in the energy output of the sun. But solar minimum changes the output to greater intensity of gamma rays. This may be responsible for the increase in volcanic activity during solar minimum. What is clear is that it has been the volcanic activity that has caused the major declines in temperature, which have resulted in famines and drastic weather changes such as the year without a summer.

This certainly cannot be contributed to simply CO2 any more than it can be simply reduced to the sun only. There is far more complexity involved, which we really need to explore. This agenda to crush the economy and rebuilt it green is not supported by the evidence.

Media Weaponize COVID Fear to Cover Biden Disappearance – President Trump Impromptu Presser – Allentown, Pennsylvania…

With reports of Joe Biden cancelling all in-person campaign events, the Club members are trying to carry their Potemkin candidate across the finish line.

Everyone is now aware Joe Biden is a cover for the real person the puppeteers want in the oval office, Kamala Harris.

That said, the DNC needs to weaponize the COVID-19 threat as a cover story to explain the lack of campaigning by the Democrat candidates; hence, the media hype of the coronavirus is back this week in full swing.

COVID fear is a narrative cover-story to hide the lack of support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Part of that cover-story is needed because the MAGA community was showing up in overwhelming numbers at Biden-Harris events, and the false illusion of support -propping up the Potemkin village- was being exposed.  All of these machinations are part of a remarkable attempt at psychological operations in this election. [SEE HERE]

Thus the questioning of President Trump this morning.  WATCH:
