Gun Control – So It’s Just Bullsh*t Then

By Russell Brand  Published on Rumble on May 30, 2022

The Democrats say they want to stand up to the gun lobby. But the Pentagon that Joe Biden oversees is funding the same gun makers that Democrats say they want to regulate.

Gun Control After Texas

Armstrong Economics Blog/Opinion Re-Posted May 31, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: After Texas, what reforms would you advise if any?

GH

ANSWER: They will be those who immediately advocate ending private gun ownership. They have no idea what they are talking about for real criminals do not buy their funds in stores. Much of the weapons the United States hands out in various countries to fight whoever ends up back in the United States on the black market. Guns they gave to Syrian Rebels, the Taliban, and even Ukrainians end up on the black market on American streets. Nobody wants to talk about that.

On August 29th, 2013, the Obama administration surprisingly announced new gun control measures. They deal with the little-known problem of re-importation of US weapons we give to rebels to fight various conflicts that go to our streets. The Obama administration began curbing the import of military surplus weapons because of the evidence from Bengasi.

With all the yelling and screaming about weapons on the streets, it is not widely understood that many actually are coming from our own sales or gifts to rebels overseas. We hand out weapons like candy for political reasons and they are arming the domestic drug trade. The story behind-the-curtain was that Stevens who was killed there played an active role in selling these weapons and that was the real reason for him being targeted.

The weapons that were flowing through Stevens were alleged to be the key to conflicts throughout the region and were flooding the streets in America as well in another secondary black market. This was a key source of weapons for Syrian rebels which was also a Neocon objective to overthrow the Syrian government. Taking out Stevens stopped that traffic in guns. That was the TRUE story behind Benghazi.

So, the weapons for war are on the street and in the hands of the drug dealers. So imposing regulations to stop the sales of assault weapons will not stop the problem. But this incident t presents a real clear and present danger. This shooter was crazy. He asked his sister to help him buy a gin and she said no. When he did get his hands on one, he killed his grandmother who probably saw mental issues in him.

So is there any Regulation That Might Work?

The problem here is he was crazy. I do not see any problem with having to prove you are of sound mind to buy ANY gun. In this case, it appeared that his family would have said NO. Perhaps it should require family consent but perhaps a mental examination as well. There should be a waiting period and perhaps a mental examination by three separate doctors in a blind test to certify that he is of sound mind.

Outlawing guns or even assault weapons will not address the issue. Someone can always get them from the black market. In this case, the shooter was clearly crazy. That type of person would more than like to try to buy a weapon at a gun store. I think the mental exam and family consent are more important than anything else. The Swiss have a militia-type system and most men must be trained and can keep their guns at home. Yet they have no real crisis in guns.

Guns do not kill – the Person Behind the Gun is the Killer

In Florida, a 10-year-old just joked about shooting up the school. Despite the fact that he did not actually possess a weapon to commit such an act. the police were notified and he was arrested. In Florida, they have a union with a task force for that purpose. In Japan, I guy killed people in a mod with a knife.

CANADA TO BAN HANDGUNS?

Of course, Trudeau is jumping all over this incident to ban handguns. This is the real goal because governments know that what is coming is a revolution for they cannot keep this system of endless borrowing forever. This is what the Great Reset is all about. Their quest to retain absolute power. Biden can outlaw particular types of guns, but not retroactively. He can force everyone to register their guns, and then if they fail to do so, imprison them under the same principle of a failure to file income taxes. They cannot imprison you for the failure to pay your taxes, only if you lie to them about what you owe.

Around 40% of US Adult Children Live with Parents

Armstrong Economics Blog/North America Re-Posted May 31, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

A large portion of the youth can no longer afford to live on their own. A new survey found that around 40% of parents in the US currently have an adult child still living at home. An additional 25% reported that their adult child temporarily lived with them but has since moved out. Of the 2,200 respondents, 33% said that their adult children simply could not afford housing on their own. An additional 33% said their child needed financial support after college, while 17% cited job losses.

This has darkened what should be the “golden years” for many Boomer parents. Around 35% said they could no longer afford their long-term goals, and 26% said supporting their adult children has hurt their short-term financial goals. An additional 14% said the added cost had limited their ability to save for future health care.

Previous generations could afford to go to school, work hard, buy a home, and start a family. That is no longer the case amid inflation at a 40-year high coupled with historically high housing and rental costs. The average federal student debt is $36,510 per borrower, while private student debt averages $54,921. Home buying is out of reach for many, as the current average price for a home in America is nearly half a million dollars. Even those with the best credit, and help from their parents, have been outbid by cash offers. Rental costs are through the roof, with the average one-bedroom going for $1,683 (22.1% YoY increase), but it is hard to find an available apartment as occupancy hit 97.5% in December 2021. This all ties in with the drastically declining birthrate as people cannot afford to support themselves, let alone a family.

The unfortunate state of the economy will lead to a new generation of frustrated individuals who are behind in life at no fault of their own. The government has killed the economy, and with it, the American dream.

Joe Biden Memorial Day Message, “The Second Amendment is Not Absolute”

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on May 30, 2022 | Sundance

The installed occupant of the oval office was asked today, “Sir, do you think there is anything different in how Republicans will approach the gun reform question now, given the circumstances?”  Within the response from Joe Biden {Direct Rumble Link}, he said this:

[Transcript] – “Look, when I first started doing hearings on the issue of what rational gun laws should be, it was during a period when I was a senator and the death rate was going up.  Not that many more people were being shot, but the death rate was up.  And when I think of — I’m not sure, I think it was (inaudible) hospital in New York — whatever the largest trauma hospital is.

And I sat with a trauma doctor, and I asked him — I said, “What’s the difference?  Why are so many people…” — and not that many more people were being shot.  This is now 20 years ago, or 25 years.  I said, “Why are they dying?”  And they showed me x-rays.  He said, “A .22-caliber bullet will lodge in the lung, and we can probably get it out, may be able to get it, and save the life.  A 9mm bullet blows the lung out of the body.”

So the idea of these high-caliber weapons is of — there’s simply no rational basis for it in terms of thinking about self-protection, hunting.  I mean, I just — and remember, the Constitution, the Second Amendment was never absolute.  You couldn’t buy a cannon when the Second Amendment was passed.  You couldn’t go out and purchase a lot of weapons.”  (LINK)  WATCH:

Canadian Multinational Executive Outlines Tech Initiative to Create Consumer Carbon Footprint Tracker

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on May 24, 2022 | Sundance

It is important to remember the ultimate goal of the ‘climate change’ promotors (World Economic Forum) is not an energy system that changes the global climate. The goal of the ‘climate change’ group is to create a carbon trading system; a new financial mechanism (a global tax program) to control human activity on a world-wide basis.  This system also needs a digital identity in order to work {hint-hint}.

You cannot tax or trade things you cannot track.  As a result, there was always going to be a need for an individual tracking and monitoring system that would connect to the global digital identity and determine the carbon footprint.  The carbon taxing and trading system will be more financially lucrative than any stock exchange or monetary banking system.  It is the ultimate human control mechanism, and the preferred way to redistribute wealth under the guise of global equity.

Of course, the system will beta test as a consumer demand product until the government steps in to take over the allocation and distribution equity part.  In this video segment, Alibaba Group president J. Michael Evans boasts at the 2022 World Economic Forum about the development of an “individual carbon footprint tracker” to monitor what you buy, what you eat, and where/how you travel.  WATCH:

The individual carbon tracker is the baseline for a global carbon trading system that involves everyone; at least, everyone connected to the outlook of western government.

Carbon allocation creates the financial metric that replaces currency.  You buy and sell carbon credits allowing you to engage in specific functions within society, like dining, traveling, home ownership and type, vehicle or transportation type, even the clothes you can purchase. Hence, “carbon trading” is the term most people are familiar with.

In essence, you are a parasite to earth; therefore, you must offset your derogatory footprint on the planet by paying a fee to exist.  If you cannot pay for the carbon credits needed to engage in the transaction (travel, home ownership, cooling, heating, etc.) you cannot engage in the regulated activity.

The carbon exchange process is at the end of the slippery slope created by a digital identity.  The 5G telecommunications network is designed to use geolocation and behavioral tracking that will connect your digital identity to your individual behavior and facilitate the carbon footprint tracing process.   We are already passed the “if” stage.

Behind the Scenes of US Military’s Decline & Navy SEALs | Jack Carr | LIFESTYLE | Rubin Report

Posted by The Rubin Report  Published on Rumble on May 22, 2022

Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” talks to Jack Carr, the author of such bestsellers as “Savage Son”, “True Believer” and “The Terminal List”, about the hardest aspects of being a Navy SEAL, what he learned about Hollywood filming “The Terminal List” for Amazon, and the history of the decline of US military power. First, Jack shares what it’s really like to train to be a Navy SEAL. He also opens up about the emotional challenges of being on a special forces SEAL team and the events that no training can prepare you for. He also shares the details that the U.S. government demanded he change in his books. Next, Jack explains how Chris Pratt and Antoine Fuqua became involved in turning “The Terminal List” into an Amazon series. He also shares what the non-woke side of Hollywood is really like. Jack also shares stories of liberal friends in Los Angeles panic buying guns for the first time and being shocked by the restrictions that they helped to vote in. Finally, Jack reveals why the US military is in decline despite major advances in military technology. He explains the origins of the military industrial complex and how the failed Afghanistan withdrawal didn’t surprise anyone familiar with the rewarding of failure in the armed forces. He explains why Craig Whitlock’s “The Afghanistan Papers” is so revealing and what has gone wrong in the military where failed leaders simply leave and get high paying jobs in the defense industry.

GOPe and Media Narrative Engineers Set Stage for Tuesday Georgia Election as Referendum on Donald Trump Influence

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on May 23, 2022 | sundance

You did not need to be a deep-thinking political follower to have seen the DeceptiCon seeds being dropped throughout Georgia in the past several weeks.  The basic narrative as engineered is that a Brian Kemp victory in the republican primary tomorrow proves the waning influence of MAGA Trump in the republican party.

Factually, albeit many subversively, from Ronna McDaniel to Mike Pence, to Mitch McConnell and every establishment republican who wants to see MAGA crushed in 2020 the same way they crushed the Tea Party in 2012, has been leaning heavily into the Georgia race to support incumbent governor Brian Kemp.  In the background of Georgia politics, the democrat operatives have been doing the same.  There is an alignment of interest.

The 2022 play book is similar to post 2010 era, when President Obama and Eric Holder triggered the IRS targeting of Tea Party conservative groups, and the republican old guard, including Mitch McConnell supported the effort.  One might say the modern UniParty in DC became most visible in the years between 2011 and 2014.  That UniParty alignment later became much more visible when the Tea Party 2.0 became MAGA in 2016 and drove the victory of Donald Trump.  The GOPe worked with Democrats to remove Trump as a result.

Now we see the UniParty, the bipartisan -reach across the aisle- professional political class, align again to use the Georgia primary in 2022 as the anti-MAGA launch point.  Their moves are as predictable as sunrise, and the advanced messaging from media transmits like a triggered flare from a tripwire.

CNN points out that a Brian Kemp victory means the era of Donald Trump is dead [SEE HERE].  The New York Times triggers a simultaneous flare from the flanking position.

New York Times – […] Thanks to Mr. Trump’s machinations, Georgia’s elections are once again freighted with outsized import, its primaries having become something of a referendum on the health of the Republican Party — and of American democracy.

A Kemp win would be a blow not only to Mr. Trump but also to the election denialism with which he has infected the G.O.P. Just this week, “stop the steal” truthers, determined to prove that Joe Biden cheated his way into the White House, won key primaries in North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Another election denier with Mr. Trump’s endorsement, Representative Jody Hice, is running for Georgia secretary of state against the Republican incumbent, Brad Raffensperger.

A strong win by Mr. Kemp would be the most promising signal to date that many Republican voters, at least in Georgia, are ready to move on — not from Mr. Trump per se, but from his toxic fixation on 2020. It could also provide a hopeful model for other results-oriented Republican governors, evidence that they can thrive even without bowing to the former president’s anti-democratic obsessions. And if Mr. Trump plays things wrong, he could wind up damaging his own political fortunes as well. (read more)

The technical issues associated with the 2022 primary in Georgia are the real problem.  In many ways Georgia republican voters do not understand how the party has created the illusion of choice by manipulating the party rules.  I take criticism from those who are angered by my pointing out the obvious, but it’s not complicated really.  If the Republican party of Georgia did not want to manipulate the voting, they would never allow a system where Democrats select their candidate; it really is that simple.

Georgia is filled with battered conservatives who vote as republicans but do not see the UniParty backroom deals that have been made.  It takes a major event before the voters can pry the control levers from the private Club known as the Georgia GOP.

The ‘open primary’ is the tool the UniParty always exploits, and many people will remember Mississippi 2010 when the AME church network, the democrat political network, was paid by various Mitch McConnell allied PAC’s to vote against the insurgency represented by Chris McDaniel.

In Georgia a voter will select either the Republican or the Democrat ballot.  Most voters select the ballot that represents their affiliation.  However, the professional networks have organized operations where specific democrat constituencies go to the polls and take a republican ballot in order to select the weakest candidate in the primary.  Brian Kemp represents the interest of that Machiavellian voting bloc.

The Democrat candidate for governor, Stacey Abrams, is running unopposed.  It’s the perfect storm where the AME church, ‘Black Voters Matter’ and other networks like ‘The New Georgia Project’ can go play in the Republican primary again.  But it’s not all bad news though, many of those cross-party voters will have no issue voting for Hershel Walker.

Hopefully, Mike Pence endorsed Brian Kemp can be held under 50% in the primary and that will trigger a runoff.  That’s the best-case scenario for Donald Trump endorsed candidate, David Perdue.

If Kemp exceeds 50% and wins the republican primary tomorrow the screaming narrative on Wednesday morning in every headline will be predictable.  After all, the seeds of this operation were planted long ago….

Securing the Border

Armstrong Economics Blog/Migration Re-Posted May 23, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Former President Trump requested $5 billion to build the US-Mexico border wall. The amount shocked many who claimed it would be damaging to the economy and a waste of resources. However, a few short years later, the US agreed, with bipartisan support, to send 8X that amount to secure the Ukrainian border and protect them from Russian invasion.

Former President Trump and his advisors believed that illegal immigration cost the US over $200 billion per year. Many disagreed, yet some of the lowest estimates, such as one put forward by the Heritage Foundation, claimed that the US loses $54 billion annually due to the unsecured border. The exact cost is hard to estimate as it is unknown how many people enter the country each day.

The Pew Research center acknowledged that migrant encounters, not arrests, are at their highest level on record. The United States Border Patrol recorded 1,659,206 encounters with migrants at the US-Mexico border last fiscal year, surpassing last year’s high of 1,643,679. Moreover, a quarter of all migrant encounters in 2021 and 2020 (27% and 26%, respectfully) were repeat offenders, compared to only 7% the year prior before the pandemic restrictions further hurt struggling countries. Biden’s policies have enticed people facing economic hardship to come to America as

The claim that the US-Mexico border wall would pay for itself seemed outlandish during Trump’s presidency to many, likely due to his delivery, but the numbers indicate he was telling the truth. No one, aside from Rand Paul, seems to be publicly questioning why the US is willing to pay to secure a foreign border but not its own.

Sunday Talks, Face the Nation Cannot Spin Away from Their CBS Poll Highlighting Major Disapproval for Biden Policy, 74 Percent Feel Things are Going Badly

CBS conducted an extensive YouGov poll [pdf DATA HERE] on wide ranging topics connected to the overall Joe Biden agenda.  The first page of the poll gives a good idea of just how badly the broad spectrum of Americans view the current status:

In addition to the Biden administration being upside down on every issue; the result of doing exactly the wrong thing on every aspect of White House policy; overall, a big indicator within the poll is that 61% of Americans polled describe the Democrat party as “out of touch.”  [DATA HERE]

Keep in mind this is a YouGov poll, which generally skews in favor of DNC policy and doesn’t filter to just registered voters.  So the actual percentages are much higher.

This morning on CBS News Face the Nation, elections and surveys director Anthony Salvanto tried to put the best spin on the poll that finds the number of Americans who say things are going badly in the country, particularly with the economy, is at the highest rate in decades.  WATCH:
