The Political Trial of Maj. Matthew Golsteyn
I served as a Green Beret officer (1st Lt) in Vietnam in 1967 as an A team XO and the rules of engagement (ROE’s) were probably as bad then as they are now. That required “us” to sometimes operate outside those rules and as consequence there was a Direct Correlation between the ever increasing and restrictive rules of engagement (ROE’s) and the frustration of company grade officers trying to follow orders and complete missions without getting your troops killed for no good reason. Those two are often mutually exclusive both back in the day and today as can clearly be seen in the case being made again Maj. Golsteyn.
I will tell you for a fact that I would have done the same thing as then Captain Golsteyn did with that Taliban bomb maker.
I belong to the Special Forces Association but that associations can not get involved in politics or it would lose its charter. So they are helpless to protest what is now being done to Maj Golsteyn, see summary below. Therefore what I would suggest is that if the military does put Maj. Golstyn on trial in a court martial then as individual members we former Greet Berets, not part of any group and who are no longer hindered by ROE’s, go to where the trial is held and have a protest at the front gates for the duration of the trial.

A former Green Beret who told Fox News in 2016 that he killed a suspected Taliban bomb maker nearly a decade ago during combat operations in Afghanistan is now being charged in the man’s death — a move his lawyer says is an act of betrayal by the Army.
The murder charge facing Maj. Matthew Golsteyn comes after years of on-and-off investigations by the Army following an incident said to have taken place during his 2010 deployment. A military tribunal that probed the killing years ago initially cleared Golsteyn — but the investigation into him was re-opened after he spoke to Fox News’ Bret Baier.
“I think he’s been betrayed,” his attorney, Phillip Stackhouse, told Fox News on Friday when asked how the Army has treated Golsteyn.
The once-decorated soldier, who had been on voluntary excess leave amid the latest investigation, has been living in a newly bought home with his wife and a 2-month-old baby in Virginia, working for the International Association of Firefighters, Stackhouse said.
Golsteyn was informed of the murder charge earlier this week after being ordered back into active duty.
“They have insinuated to me that they have new evidence,” Stackhouse told Fox News. “I don’t believe there is any new evidence at all.”
My analysis of the current series of “bombs” targeted at democrat progressives
I am a former Special Forces Green Beret from back in the Vietnam War era and since we were trained in many military skills including making improvised explosive devices my opinion on the current situation is relevant.
What happened today does not smell right and given the current domestic situation I suspect that this was a plot my progressive operators to pull off a stunt where no one was actually hurt but it was made to look like the Republicans or the alt right, as they like to say, tried to kill a number of high level Democrats. I make this statement for the following reasons.
One, If it was a real attempt I would find it almost impossible to believe that none of these devices detonated.
Two, As I write this 5 or 6 devices have been found which indicated a lot of hard work to both know where to send them and how to make them. Since the planning and implementation was at a high level and nothing happened its very difficult to believe that they were ever intended to explode.
Three, This was not done by someone making a bomb for the first time this was a well planned simulated attack design to advance the progressive movement since nothing else they have tried as been working.
Four, I seriously doubt they will ever find who did this as it was done by experts who also know how to cover their tracks.
Five, The Blue wave has collapsed and it now looks like the Republicans will hold the House and gain seats in the Senate. This is going to be a major blow to the progressive movement that they can not tolerate. If they can’t gain the House of Representatives at minimum they would be totally embarrassed and they can not tolerate that. There are elements in the progressive wing that have experience in these kinds of political tricks and i would not doubt they those elements would be used in this situation. After all look at what they have already done with the Russian collusion narrative, the Kavanaugh hearings and the caravans headed to the US southern border.
What is an Assault Rife?
I spent two months shy of 4 years in the army from 1965 to 1969 first as enlisted and then as an officer. I had one partial tour in Nam where I was wounded and sent home to recover after 4 months in combat. I was qualified with most infantry weapons and used a CAR-15 (Colt Automatic Rifle-15) in Vietnam which was a short barrel version of the M16 riffle. The more modern version of that rifle line is the M4 and a civilian look alike is commonly referred to as the AR-15 Assault rifle. The civilian AR-15 cannot fire full auto even with a “bump stock” add on, it still requires a separate trigger pull for each round fired. In Vietnam on patrol I never fired my CAR-15 on full auto; it’s a waste of ammo in most cases. In the jungle often with no communications you didn’t waste your ammo.
The following is a quick summary of the various kinds of guns or weapons made as simple as possible. Manufacturers and others give brand names and descriptions to models they make and there are all kind of fancy add-on’s most, if not all, are meaningless to the actual function of the weapon; which is feed a round into the chamber and fire it with a trigger pull. Not considered here, are the various kinds of bullets but it must be kept in mind that the bullets are designed to kill, there is no such thing as a safe bullet.
But first I have a test for you, below are the images of two weapons, what is the main functional difference between them, assume they are civilian weapons? At the end of this post I will give you the answer.
Forgetting muzzle loaders there are really only two kinds of guns (including; hand guns, rifles, machine guns and shot guns) the first and most common kind is where one trigger pull fires one round. The other kind is when a trigger is pulled, and held, the weapon will continue to fire until either the supply of bullets is gone or the trigger is released. Some of the different common names are: machine gun, revolver, semi-automatic, rifle, carbine, long riffle, shot gun and derringer that refer to the means of feeding a bullet into the weapon and the length of the barrel.
Bullets can be placed in one at a time as in a derringer, or 6 in a cylinder that can be placed in the revolver, or a small number from 3 to 8 or more in a feed tube under the barrel of a lever action rifle, or a pump action shot gun, or in a clip of 5 bullets that can be pushed into the opening under the bolt as in the old M-1 Garand rifle of WW II, or in a magazine that holds 5 to 30 bullets or more like a AR-15 or M4 or AK-47, or a belt of bullets held together by small metal clip of 100 or more bullets as in a M-60 machine gun.
The next consideration is how the bullets get into the position to be fired; which can be a rotating cylinder, a hand operated bolt, a pump action, a lever action, a mechanism related to the energy contained in the detonated charge in the bullet that will directly or indirectly cause the bolt to move back into a position where the next bullet can be feed in (commonly referred to as a semi-automatic).
For all practical purposes, from a functional point of view, there are only 4 kinds of guns or weapons:
Civilian Weapons (some also used by the military):
1 Semi-automatic single pull and release trigger with a short barrel
2 Semi-automatic single pull and release trigger with a long barrel
Military Weapons:
3 Full-automatic and single pull and hold trigger with a short barrel
4 Full-automatic and single pull and hold trigger with a long barrel
The problem that the people that don’t like the 2nd Amendment, and want to ban guns, have is that there is no way to actually ban “assault” rifles as it does not appear as a type of weapon: it’s a look, not a kind of weapon. It would be like trying banning Kleenex tissue. The closest actual type would be a scout rifle or a carbine which are short barreled rifles. Legislation that these people try to write, as to what constitutes an assault rifle, end up having a great many pages of descriptions as they try and describe something that does not actually exist.
The answer to the quiz is the biggest functional difference between those two weapons is the length of the barrel.
In a Government Shutdown the order of closure should be from the least important to the most important starting with the Congress!
If the swamp can not give the president what he wants and funding of the government dries up then the following order of close down should be followed.
Congress
Department of Education
The EPA
Department of Commerce (DOC)
Department of Energy (DOE)
Department of Agriculture (USDA)
Department of labor (DOL)
And on to the rest of them as required but being care to not affect the American Citizens as it its their fault that their representatives does support them.
The Special Counsel, Mueller and all the Congressional Investigations need to be Shut Down!
We have been told for well over a year now that Candidate Hillary did no wrong and Candidate Trump was a puppet of Putin. The Justice Department and the FBI and the Congress and the Executive branch of our government have now been looking at this issue with a Special Counsel, the US Justice department, a Justice Department IG, The US House of Representatives, The US Senate, the White house, all the US Intelligence Agency’s and virtually the entire national media, Hollywood, and a good portion of the blogs, Facebook, Twitter and the rest of the social media all in an attempt to find some crime on someone for doing something. So what we have are two sides dug into trench warfare and where no matter which side wins we have constitutional crises!
This has got to stop it serves no purpose and worse if there was some minor or processes crimes that were found here and we ended up with more hearings and criminal charges and trials this could go on for years and would prove nothing but it will destroy all faith in our form of government.
If I were Trump this is what I would do …
I would go on national television and address this major problem directly after the first of the year. I’ll just give bullet points in what I’m proposing here but professionals could properly dress it up.
- The core problem i.e. The generational change in American Society, politics and the Deep State
- Globalism and One World Government, verses American sovereignty
- This Current witch hunt that we have gotten into is very bad and it has the potential to do great harm to the country
Therefore I am going to do the following
- I am going to ask the Special counsel and all the various committees to finish their investigations in 30 day. And present a final report of their findings. This has been going on long enough.
- If they have not done so by that time or if at that time there is nothing substantial than I will do the following to end this so we can move on.
- I will grant pardons to all the various campaign staff and political appointees of any party that were involved directly or indirectly in any way in the current situation in following groups
- The Trump Campaign
- The Hillary Campaign
- The FBI
- The Justice Department
- The Obama Administration
- The Trump Administration
We need to stop this process and get on with what the people in this country what us to do, which is fix the problems in our country so the citizens can get back to living this life’s without all this drama
My Opinion on Stephen Paddock
I’m a former Green Beret from back in the day, pre-Tet Vietnam, where I was WIA in combat at a Special Forces camp on the Cambodian border in late 1967, so I was trained by the US military on the use of many different weapons, explosives, tactics and guerilla politics; therefore my opinion on the Stephen Paddock massacre in Las Vegas is more than idle speculation. When searching for motivation one must always consider Occam’s razor; meaning the simplest solution or answer is almost always right. To begin any analysis one must start with the facts. So what are the known facts found on the broadcast news media and searches on the web?
On September 30 in Las Vegas 58 concert attendees were killed by gun fire and another 527 were injured. The gunfire was rapid and appeared to come from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay resort and casino. Police breached the room and found Stephen Paddock dead. Cell phone videos taken by concert attendees clearly indicated rapid fire interrupted by short periods of silence (changing magazines) and there were clearly two windows broken out on the upper floors of Mandalay Bay. The weapon reports, I heard, were not from a military full automatic rifle and were either from a well trained shooter or from the use of a bump stock add-on to a regular civilian semi automatic rile that allowed rapid fire similar to that of a military rifle.
The news reported the following.
The suite Paddock had rented had two rooms and both rooms had windows knocked out and shooting platforms established.
There were 23 weapons found in the room including semi-automatic rifles and handguns as well as thousands of rounds of ammunition and related items such as scopes and firing positions and 12 bump stocks, a simple device that allows a semi-automatic rifle to fire at a slightly faster rate of fire then individual trigger pulls but not as fast as a military automatic rile or a machine gun. There were IP cameras set up outside and in inside the room; we are told they were not set to record.
Shortly after the shooting ISIS claim Paddock had converted to ISLAM several month ago and was one of them; and news reporters indicated that ISIS claims of this kind were credible although not 100% accurate.
Additional searches of his car and homes found more weapons, ammunition and explosives. Places were Paddock purchases some of his weapons told investigators that there was nothing unusual about Paddock and apparently all of what he purchased was done legally.
Other information indicated that Paddock traveled to multiple cities and stayed in hotels where concerts were held. That he had a girl friend originally from the Philippians and that he and his girl friend had visited Las Vegas regularly averaging a couple of times a month over the past several years. That he and his girl friend had traveled to the Philippians and that he sent his girl friend to the Philippians prior to the shooting and he transferred to her at least $100,000 to buy a home.
However we were also told that:
Paddock was a 64 year old retired accountant.
Paddock was a multi millionaire apparently from property speculation and gambling.
Paddock owned multiple properties and owned an airplane.
Paddock had no known strong opinions either religious or political.
Paddock had no known weapons or explosives training.
A few days after the shooting we were told that there was nothing found at any of Paddock’s residences that indicated he was researching weapons or explosives. We were also told there was nothing in his medical records that indicated a severe mental problem. Professional profilers told us that he fit no known existing profile of any other mass shooting perpetrated.
On Fox News Sunday with Cris Wallace in an interview with Stephen Wynn, who resides and owns several hotel/casinos in Las Vegas, indicated the following. In 2015 he had professionals review his properties security procedures and major changes were made to minimize the chances of what happened and the Mandalay Bay resort. Steve told Chris that his employees never saw anything from Paddock or his girl friend that gave any concerns to them of any kind. Steve did make one comment that neither Paddock or his girl friend ever had a drink at his properties and that Paddock was mid level gambler and never owed the casinos any money and that he always paid his bills. Wynn also started the Paddock was a very logical and methodical man that gave no sign of mental illness.
There is only one scenario that fits the principle of Occam’s Razor.
Additional facts:
The Philippians has areas controlled by groups such as ISIS and ISLAM has a major presence in the Philippians. Paddocks girl friend is from the Philippians.
According to Wynn, Paddock and his girl friend never drank; Muslim’s are not permitted to drink alcohol.
In my opinion there is no way Paddock taught himself everything that he knew that permitted him to pull of this shooting without leaving a trace. So he had to have help.
Within Islam, in particular to recent converts, it is taught that all good Muslim (men) do their best to be like Mohammad their founder. Mohammad practiced violent jihad and was a War Lord that conquered most of Arabia before he died. Therefore an act like this would guarantee him Islamic heaven.
Therefore:
The only reason for Paddock to do what he did is that his Girl friend converted him to Islam and that they trained him in what he needed to know in the Philippians over the past several years. He did not stay in a Wynn property since he know their security would have caught him. If he was a Muslim he would have believed that doing this would take him to heaven and he was 64 years old so what happens after death would be and issue.
So since the ISIS claim is credible and the rest of the facts support them I believe that his conversion to Islam gives us the motivation to do what he did and this theory is in compliance with the principles in Occam’s Razor.
The deep state does not what this to be known as they would prefer that guns in the US could be eliminated or at minimum tightly controled so they have minimized the link to ISIS to promote their confiscation of all guns. This is also supported by actions of the Obama administration and all progressives. The progressives to what to find a way to get rid of the Bill-of-Rights as it does make it harder for them to change our form of government. Which they are doing with the Black Lives Matter BLM narrative and the more recent knelling at sports games when the flag and national anthem are played.
The deep state may not have participated in what Paddock did but they certainly could have tried to take advantage of the shooting.
A New Park has been set up in Macedonia, Ohio Honoring Veterans
For the past 2 years my American Legion Nordonia Hills Post 801 with the help of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6768 and the city of Macedonia has worked on establishing a Veterans Memorial Park dedicated to honor all veterans. It has now completed the first phase of the Park. The AL Post Commander and Chairperson of the committee established to create this park first created a team of motivated veterans. The team raised about 40% of the estimated $364,000 required to construct the entire park. These funds allowed us to design and build the park’s main entrance starting in May 2017. Construction was completed on September 15, 2017, POW/MIA Recognition Day. The next day, September 16, the first part of this projected was dedicated.
There were three monuments displaced, this is the Main One to all veterans.
The other two are one for the War on Terror and one for Vietnam

We need a New Alliance!
During WW II America, Brittan, Russia and the French resistance fought the Axis powers lead my Germany and totally destroyed them. What we need now is to save Western Civilization once more from the invasion of Islam which is in the process of bringing 5,000 years of progress to a screeching halt throwing us into a new Dark Age. So some strange reason the left or the progressive movement as they prefer to be called have aligned themselves with the the Medina faction of Islam (Jihadists) in there attempt to set up a one world government under the principles of Marxism. Trump had now correctly defined the obvious enemy as Radical Islamic terrorism he will now need to bring in the other half which is lead my George Soros with is Open Society movement which is Marxism; BTW Karl Marx was German.
If Le Pen can win in the French election than an alliance of America, Britain, Russia and France is possible and we could save Western Civilization once more. Russia does have clean up to do but the Russian people are good and even Putin could see the advantage of this new alliance. I hope trump can see this and put something like this together; as this not inconsistent with the MAGA movement.
Obama, Flynn, Yates and Trump
It’s no secret that Obama and the Democrat’s along with many Republican’s do not like being beaten by an amateur, Trump, when they needed Hillary to completion the transformation of America into their vision of what it should be. The what is not relevant here. But we do know that over the next couple of months a lot of behind closed doors meeting were help on how to stop Trump like the massive uprising that covered the country within hours of the Temporary travel ban on 7 counties identified by Obama when he was the president. That could not have been accomplished without a lot of planning and money probably from Soros.
Then an opportunity presented itself when an NSA intercept recorded Flynn, who was to be the Trumps National Security Advisor, talking with Sergey Kislak the Russian Ambassador which in itself was not unusual in a transference of power period especially as this occurred only 5 to 7 days before Ttrump would be sworn in as the 45th President on January 20, 2017. Strangely on January 3 only 10 days before the Flynn calls the law the prevented the NSA from releasing calls that had a American Citizen in them (protected by 4th Amendment) to other agencies. This was noted as strange but not talked about at the time.
Whether AG Lynch or acting AG Yates found the opportunity, that one could assume they were looking for as they changed the law, doesn’t matter but they now had Flynn talking to a Russian and decided to play that card at the right time to hurt Trump. So Yates after Trump was in, and very busy, notified his people about a call and an investigation was started internally. Since all of Trumps people were occupied trying to get their appointees in this was probably not a high priority and since Flynn probably didn’t even remember all of what was said perfectly he was set up. Remember the transcript was never released so we don’t even know what was said.
It’s too bad Flynn got caught up in this but we did learn about the law that was changed two weeks before Trump took office which has major bad constitution elements to it.
