Do We Have Any Rights?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Rule of Law Re-Posted Oct 16, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION: Hi Marty,

Is it still possible for the People to save the USA and revert it back to its original form, as was indented in the Constitution –  rights not enumerated to the Government, belong to the State or to the People?

I spend some time in the USA and in public high school. At no point, we were taught the Constitution and what it entails. That was in north Texas – open gun carry and very in favor of the constitution rights.

Texas high schools did not teach the Constitution nor the 2nd Amendment – that its purpose is not to give the right to bear arms but to DENY the Government the authority to infringe on People’s right to bear arms (the divine right).

The People no longer remember that the Founding Fathers saw the People as Sovereign with the Divine Right.

Can you opine on this, with the emphasis on the Divine Rights (inalienable rights) that were previously reserved only for the Kings and bestowed by the Church.

Cheers from Canada,
Lucas

ANSWER: The TRUE answer is we have NO RIGHTS whatsoever. The courts have turned everything on its head. The Constitution is NEGATIVE – not positive. You have to look at the language very carefully. Here is the First Amendment. It stated “Congress shall make no law…” and that is a NEGATIVE restraint upon government It does not endow you with the “right” to freedom of religion of speech. This is how they are getting away with the whole cancel culture. The “negative” restraint is ONLY upon the government. You actually have no right to freedom of speech. The 2nd Amendment was to create a militia army, not a standing army. That was the advice of the Prince of Savoy.

In 1787, Patrick Henry was invited to participate in what became the Constitutional Convention. He feared that the meeting was really a sinister plot by the powerful to construct a strong central government that would become not much different from what they revolted against. When the new Constitution was sent to Virginia for ratification in 1788, Patrick Henry stood up and objected. Henry argued that it was a trap and that the Constitution did not include a bill of rights and that would lead to tyranny.

Patrick Henry argued that the clear absence of a bill of rights was confirmation that this was really an attempt by the few to become powerful and dictate to everyone beneath them once again. Henry argued eloquently and other Anti-Federalists saw his point and compelled James Madison, the leader of the Virginia Federalists, to promise the addition of a bill of rights to the Constitution. On September 25, Congress agreed upon the 12 amendments, and they were sent to the states for approval. Articles three through twelve were ratified and became the Bill of Rights on December 15, 1791. It was not until after 25 days of heated debate, on June 26, 1788, Virginia became the 10th state to ratify the Constitution on that condition.

If it were not for Patrick Henry, we would have lived in utter tyranny all this time. Little by little, the court has very subtly inverted the Bill of Rights and most people have actually just looked at that title “Bill of Rights” and assumed that are positive rights that we have. However, look closer and you will see that this is a negative restraint. If you want to sue someone for violating your constitutional rights, they MUST be acting under “Color of Law” meaning it is really at the government’s direction.

The Plot to Seize Russia

Armstrong Economics Blog/Police Re-Posted Oct 15, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

The latest book, The Plot to Seize Russia, will be handed out at the WEC. This work has been made possible by the declassification of the documents from the Clinton Administration. This book contains even the transcripts of phone calls between Yeltsin and Bill Clinton thanks to the Freedom of Information Act. This book will change what we thought was history. NATO even invited Russia to join in 1991 which led to the coup against Gorbachev. Before you sign of to World War III, you better wait until you finish this book. It appears our friend Neil Oliver has the week off. So, we will visit another, albeit saltier, U.K. voice who is also grounded in pragmatic common sense.  Russell Brand recently discussed how “President Trump is Right” about the issues around the Ukraine war and the conflict with Russia.

Mr. Brand notes a few bold nuances that are mostly lost in the media conversation and uses his sarcastic humor to point out the current reality. WATCH:

ICC Trying to Justify Charging Putin

Armstrong Economics Blog/Rule of Law Re-Posted Oct 14, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Sources at the ICC have revealed a shocking account that all the lawyers there are trying to just talk trash to justify charging Putin with war crimes. First of all, they have no jurisdiction over ANY head of state. In addition, Neither the United States nor Russia signed the agreement that would allow any of their citizens to be charged in that court.

Worst still, these absolute morons are GUARANTEEING World War III cannot possibly be avoided. When you start accusing your adversary like this, you have guaranteed there will now NEVER be any peace negotiations. So just get ready. Our computer, unfortunately, has never been wrong. I have tried my best to speak out against this war and all the propaganda that fills the air. We just have to resolve that those in power want war as a diversion from the meltdown in government bonds. They think this war would be conventional and so what if a billion people die – there are too many of us anyway from their perspective.

Some say we deserve it for voting in people like Biden, Trudeau, and all the other incompetent world leaders. Maybe they are right. Even Macron of France called Biden’s Armageddon Speech insane. The ICC has lost all credibility as they try to pretend to be tuff.

Commentary from Rico Potkaars:

"Historian and Economist Martin Armstrong, as a computer programmer created the system called socrates that analyses history, current affairs and the flow of money and extrapolates to what may lie ahead. It gave him the nickname ‘the Forecaster’ and a documentary that to this day is forbidden in the USA.

Armstrong through FOIA retreived information from the Clinton Library about what happened after the Soviet Union fell. He’s written that down in a book called ‘the Plot to Seize Russia.

In this interview we discuss his upcoming book, the current state of collapsing global finance and the inescapable war on Russia as a result of that.."

Leading Edge of Field to Fork Inflation Starts to Arrive in September Producer Price Index

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 12, 2022 | Sundance

The “Producer Price Index” (PPI) is essentially the tracking of wholesale prices at three stages: Origination (commodity), Intermediate (processing), and then Final (to wholesale). Today, the Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) released September price data [Available Here] showing another 8.5% increase year-over-year in Final Demand products at the wholesale level.  However, that’s not the bad news in this data.

While the overall September PPI was higher than expected at 0.4%, the Final Demand Producer Price for food products in September was a whopping 1.2% (14.4% annualized).

The BLS notes the driver by saying, “a major factor in the September increase in prices for final demand goods was a 15.7-percent advance in the index for fresh and dry vegetables. Prices for diesel fuel, residential natural gas, chicken eggs, home heating oil, and pork also moved higher.”

That’s a 15.7% increase in price, in one month, for fresh and dry vegetables.  Annualized that’s a rate of price increase of 188.4% for vegetables.   Remember the warning about farm costs (energy, fertilizer, fuel) driving field to fork inflation at harvest?  This is the leading edge of that third wave of food price increases.

I have modified BLS Table-2 to focus specifically on food costs.  The data is on left.

You will note that ‘row crops’ are the big drivers along with grain and seed products.  This is exactly as we predicted it would be because those specific farming costs are the ones with greatest increase from energy, fuel, fertilizer, weed and insect control, and diesel costs.

All of those higher costs have been growing in the fields and will now surface at harvest.   The higher farm costs transfer from the field to the fork via the food supply chain.  This is only the leading edge of the price increase.

In October 2021 we first warned of the food price increases coming in distinct waves.  The first was Jan, Feb and March 2022.   The second wave was May through July 2022.  This third wave will be bigger than the first two and starts arriving this month, October 2022.

People laughed at me when I said in late 2022 eggs were going to reach .50¢ EACH ($6/doz).

Well, in September the price of fresh eggs jumped 16.7% in a single month.  That’s an annualized rate of price increase for eggs over 200%.

With hindsight you can clearly see the three waves of food price increases (BLS Table A):

Get ready and shop smart.

The October, November and December price increases in the grocery store are going to make the prior fresh food increases look small, as the full increased costs of farming operations starts to arrive at the supermarket.   Unfortunately, this will coincide with a wave of gasoline price increases, and the prices of natural gas are already skyrocketing.

Behind the Scenes of World War Reddit

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on October 12, 2022 | Sundance

On February 24, 2022, Deputy National Security Advisor and Deputy Director of the National Economic Council, Daleep Singh, told the world what to expect about the U.S. and allied response to the war in Ukraine.  We called the white house strategy “World War Reddit.”  Here’s what Deputy NSA Singh said:

…”Strategic success in the 21st century is not about a physical land grab of territory; that’s what Putin has done.  In this century, strategic power is increasingly measured and exercised by economic strength, by technological sophistication and your story – who you are, what your values are; can you attract ideas and talent and goodwill? And on each of those measures, this will be a failure for Russia.”  ~ Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh

Deputy National Security Advisor Daleep Singh boiled down geopolitical power to a cultural issue of social likeability.  Realize that what he said is the White House strategy leading our foreign policy.  That strategy is why the White House enlisted TikTok influencers for their Ukraine effort [link].  Remember, the State Dept is also leading this effort.  That is the context for this video. WATCH:

That’s why we called it World War Reddit eight months ago.  Where the State Dept was going with this “war” was obvious.

Crimea was a Neo-Nazi Terrorist Attack

Armstrong Economics Blog/Ukraine Re-Posted Oct 10, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

My sources in Crimea have confirmed that this was a Ukrainian Neo-Nazi terrorist attack. The driver of this 18-wheeler died. He picked up a load of fertilizer and was not part of the plot. They were watching and blew up the truck remotely killing the driver and the car next to it and blowing up the bridge. Ukraine itself has not taken credit for it. This was a coordinated attack by the Neo-Nazis. I cannot express how much hatred these people have stored up inside. They waited to detonate the truck when it was under a train of tankers filled with fuel.
