Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe launches a pre-planned proactive media blitz timed to coincide with DOJ receiving a new Attorney General. Say what you will about the duplicitous, lying, corrupt and conniving weasels – but they know how to seamlessly execute cunning self-preservation political objectives.
The strategy is as transparent as it is Machiavellian. Andrew McCabe, James Baker and the Lawfare group (Benjamin Wittes, Michael Bromwich et al) had a planned defensive front waiting to roll out; today they pulled the trigger:

Team McCabe always knew the biggest legal threat to their corrupt position would be if they lost control of the mechanisms within the DOJ and FBI. The launch of a media blitz, surrounding a book and constructed defense narrative, positions them to claim that any legal action against them now comes from a retaliatory Trump administration and DOJ institution (Barr) carrying out the objectives of the President.
The best way to position themselves legally was/is to go on the attack and then use their attack as a shield from any accountability. This is what we are seeing today.
For almost two years the corrupt career elements within the DOJ and FBI have been hiding the trail of evidence that would expose the McCabe plan to usurp the 2016 election.
They have redacted evidence including the Lisa Page and Peter Strzok text messages; withheld information from congress; stalled and defied requests for documents they used in the construction of their plans; and generally positioned themselves to run out the clock. In all measures they have been stunningly effective thus far.
The McCabe team, in close coordination with the Lawfare group of strategists, forced the recusal of Jeff Sessions and positioned the use of the Mueller investigation as a political shield to cover their tracks. However, with the introduction of William Barr as a new Attorney General, they obviously would lose their most valuable tool. Thus the moves today and in the weeks/months to follow is the next phase of a continual plan for self-preservation to avoid legal accountability.
Using CBS is almost as predictable. Inherently the 2016 and 2017 actions by the corrupt McCabe team were in alignment with the political agenda of the Obama white house. CBS, including Vice-President David Rhodes – brother to Ben Rhodes, has a well documented history of defending the Obama White House from scrutiny. There is a natural alignment of mutual benefit.
It will be interesting to see how McCabe’s lawyer Michael Bromwich, McCabe’s political ally Benjamin Wittes, and McCabe’s fixer/hatchetman/former FBI chief-legal-counsel, James Baker, align their defense narrative moving forward. Obviously McCabe carries the greatest legal risk if full sunlight is placed upon the ‘small group’. That said, it makes sense for them to use the political narrative as their best weapon against any accountability.
How former FBI Director James Comey positions himself will also be a key ‘tell’ to watch for. If Comey remains distant from the McCabe issues then it will appear more likely McCabe will face some measure of legal accountability. If Comey snuggles up to McCabe, or openly defends McCabe, that would indicate McCabe is likely to avoid any substantive trouble.
Moving forward it makes sense the McCabe crew will blur the lines of wrongdoing by attaching their action to current DAG Rod Rosenstein who was a willfully blind participating member, albeit perhaps initially, unwillingly.
Robert Mueller’s ability to hide the gross corruption within the upper levels of the FBI appears to be significantly reduced with the introduction of William Barr, though given the history of what has taken place over the past two years it would be exceptionally naive to put too much faith or hope in Barr.
There’s going to be a great deal of insider horse-trading, positioning, and attempts to deploy leverage to avoid accountability and exposure. Within DC this is known as the Potomac two-step. Each entity trades their leverage for escape routes and no-one is held accountable. So far, through the use of politics, all of their endeavors have been exceptionally successful and little has changed to inject any confidence things will shift.
Today’s roll-out is smart politics for the McCabe team.
The president steps over bright ethical and moral lines wherever he encounters them. Everyone in America saw it when he fired my boss. But I saw it firsthand time and time again.

The Hill […] When confronted with the Aspen conference photos of Schiff, in sport coat and open-neck dress shirt, and Simpson, wearing casual attire, representatives for both men tried to minimize their discussion, insisting nothing substantive about the Russia case was discussed.
“In the summer of 2018, Mr. Simpson attended a media-sponsored social event where he exchanged small talk with Rep. Schiff and many other people who were in attendance,” Fusion GPS said in a statement to me. “The conversation between the two was brief and did not cover anything substantive. There has been no subsequent contact between Mr. Simpson and Rep. Schiff.”
The congressman’s response was even more vague: “The chairman did not have any pre-planned meeting with Glenn Simpson, and any conversation with him at the Aspen conference would have been brief and social in nature,” Schiff spokesman Patrick Boland said. (read more)

The Yellow Vest anti-government movement (#YellowVests, #GiletsJaunes) began in France on November 17, 2018, when over 300,000 people across France protested a carbon tax on fuel. President Emmanuel Macron claimed the French were leading the world in the battle against climate change. The Yellow Vest protests evolved rapidly into an all-out general anti-government movement that was supported by 70% of the French population. When Macron was forced to back out of the tax, the first thing he did was look for something else to tax to make up the difference. Then the French government had to ask Brussels for an exemption from austerity. This all proved one thing — the fuel tax was really about just raising taxes.
Now, the Yellow Vest Movement has gone worldwide, spreading at first to Belgium, where Brussels riot cops had to deal with them for week after week of protests blocking an oil depot. Then on December 8, 2018, the Belgians attempted to breach a riot barricade while calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Charles Michel, resulting in around 100 arrests. So in both France and in Belgium there are demands for the heads of government to resign.
What is conspicuously absent from the list below is the United States. Trump has rejected the climate taxes and lowered tax rates, moving directly opposite of all the other countries on the list. Nevertheless, the future for the United States is looking very bleak. The budget will force a rise in taxation as more and more government workers retire, thereby dramatically increasing the cost of government. The New Democratic Socialist Party, headed by Schumer and Pelosi, is advocating dramatic increases in taxation following the same course as the other countries on the list below. Our model shows that the Trump Tax Cuts were merely a reaction within a broader bull market trend. That means we should be looking for the next peak in tax rates in 2026. We should begin to see the Yellow Vest emerge in the USA in 2020.
The question of the Democrats to win in 2020 by constantly investigating Trump and links to Putin while they blame Putin for releasing emails that exposed the corruption within the Democrats is coming up in spades. While the USA has been warning everyone not to deal with Venezuela, Russia then has to step in and agree to ship 20 tons of gold out of the country. Putin is only doing this because the Democrats have deliberately sacrifice all relations with Russia simply to score point domestically against Trump.
Not only has every president tried to work for world peace since World War II, but just about every Miss America has said when contending for the crown she prays for world peace. There is an anger that has consumed the people and the politicians. It is even self-evidence in sports. The San Francisco 49’ers use to dominate the sports league. Most people admired them. They use to look up to stars like the Chicago Bulls and the great Michael Jordan. Today, the Patriots have replaced the 49’ers but they are probably the most hated team in history. This attitude is reflected in politics as well. Just because the person you voted for lost the presidency, there was none of this “he’s not my president” stuff. We accepted the lost and moved on. Those days are simply gone.
Regardless who wins in 2020, you can bet on one thing. They losing side will NEVER accept the loss. Violence will grow and spread. We will see the average person unwilling to actually accept democracy.
This rising anger is clearly growing between the USA and Russia. The latest Gallop Poll shows that 72% of Democrats hate Russia and it’s all about Hillary’s emails. This is very serious for against that type of bias lies the easy step to war and they will think it is justified especially when the economy turns down.
What is next aborting (I mean killing) babies that are born but not yet taken home?
Apparently New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has opened the floodgates when it comes to aborting babies right up to the moment of delivery. Not to be outdone the Virginia legislature is proposing a bill that will be just as lethal to human life. Watch as the author of the bill struggles to find words that will hide how grotesque this legislation is. Then watch as Virginia’s so called “moderate” Governor makes a pathetic attempt to justify what’s being done. Listen how he calmly explains the possible delivery of the child and how he or she will be made comfortable before termination. The term “slippery slope” doesn’t begin to describe what this criminal behavior could lead to. If the left gets its way and it becomes acceptable to kill babies what group will be next? The infirm who are old? The infirm who are young? And who decides? The death panels that Barack Obama laughed about have arrived.
Shouldn’t someone let the Pope know what’s going on.

Yes, we dated. It was more than 20 years ago. Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker.
