The World According to Schwab?

Armstrong Economics Blog/Economics Re-Posted Aug 25, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

QUESTION:  Dear Mr. Armstrong,
First, thank you for all the wonderful work you do. I have been following your blog for many years and am always amazed at your insight and historical knowledge. I had a question regarding your assertion that the WEF/ Globalists will not win. I am assuming you mean that their vision of a worldwide Chinese-style technocracy run by the United Nations will not take hold. But if we are also looking at the certain breakup of the United States from which there is no turning back, a defeat in WWIII with China and Russia as they win and rise to be the main players on the world stage, are we not losing everything, anyway?
How will we ever hope to restore peace, liberty, democracy, and prosperity as most American citizens understand it if China and Russia end up controlling everything, and our country is left permanently fractured and therefore weaker?
Again, thank you for everything you do to help people understand what’s coming down the road. Your insight is always invaluable.

ANSWER: All we can do is look at history. As my mother used to say, There’s a time and place for everything.” What we are looking at is simply the natural cycle of the rise and fall of nations. Schwab will fail with Soros, and their dream of a one-world government is absolutely stupid, and it illustrates that both are totally ignorant of history or humanity. Just look at Congress. They vote on party lines. There is no agreement, and you really expect that the world can be brought to a one-world government?

The EU is not working, and that was the very same theory. The old tensions and distrust go back centuries in Europe. The Germans refused to join if all the debts were combined, and now you have countries complaining that one pays more in interest rates than another. Here is the former head of France stating in Parliament that the entire idea of the EU was that this one-European government would end all European wars. This was pushed by Schwab and Soros.

The EU Commission came to our 1997 WEC in London. I warned them that this would fail without the consolidation of the debts. They said that they just had to get the euro in and then worry about the debts later. I tried to explain the crisis to Kohl, but he would not listen. He would not even put joining the euro to a vote, knowing that the German people would reject the whole idea.

When Rome fell, it broke up into fiefdoms. The barbarians issued coins that imitated that of Rome. They pretended to be Roman, for they wanted the air of that civilization. There was no unity — all separated enclaves. It was not until Charles Martel (c. 688–741), who established the Caroline dynasty, where Charlemagne (747–814 AD) was eventually crowned as Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire by the Pope. Do you see the trend to create unified states once more?

Therefore, following the collapse of Rome, it was the typical cycle of 31.4 x 8.6 years = 270 years before we began to see the rise once again of formal civilizations. Europe had broken apart into simple fiefdoms that were not united. The unification came only because the Arabs began to seek the conquest of Europe and Charles Martel began to rise up to defend when became Europe once again after the Battle of Tours. He unified the Franks into a nation-state.

When Charles died, he divided Francia between his sons, Carloman and Pepin. Charlemagne came to power under Pepin. Pepin’s death opened the door to civil war as the conflict between his heirs and the Neustrian nobles who in turn sought their own political independence.

While the silver denier became the coin of Europe during the 8th century, it was not until the 13th century that we see gold reemerge as coinage. In actual Europe, that took nearly 800 years to pass before gold coinage reappeared.

However, after the Great Monetary Collapse of gold in the Byzantine Empire in 1092, it took 172 years for good gold to reappear in Europe. When Constantine founded Constantinople in 330 AD and moved the capital of the Roman Empire from Rome to his new city, which is now Istanbul, the seat of power shifted from Byzantium back to Europe. That interval was again about 800 years.

Columbus was trying to get to India, which was the financial capital, for it moved to Asia after the fall of Byzantium. That is why he calls the Americans “Indians.” He chose the wrong Greek mathematical who thought the world was round but smaller than it actually is. Columbus’ discovery of America was by sheer accident.

The West will fall and fragment. I do not see the US being occupied by Russia and China. There will be no one-world government. That is NEVER going to take place. Even in the aftermath, when the West has fallen, you will then see Russia and China become foes. Cycles are inevitable. So the world, according to Schwab, is the dream of a fool who ignores human nature and history.

FLASHBACK, Elizabeth Warren Meets the Face of Cold Anger

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on August 24, 2022 | Sundance

As the political elite decide they have some form of unknown authority to force working class U.S. taxpayers to fund the choices of others, a furor starts to build.

In this video excerpt a father confronts Senator Elizabeth Warren over her advocacy to cancel college loan debt for those who made a choice to take out those loans.   Across the American landscape this moment rings as representative of two fundamental outlooks colliding.  I think most readers here would relate to the cold anger of the father who confronts the Senator.  WATCH:

Cold anger does not choose the path of division, it simply responds to it.

There is a great chasm within our nation between to diametrically opposing worldviews.  When one side is forced to pay for the indulgent choices of the other, cold anger turns hot.  It is difficult to contain rage in the face of such sanctimony, yet the abusers are prepared to claim victimhood as soon as we respond to the abuse.

This is the powder-keg that sits underneath the quiet surface of cold anger.

Cold Anger tries not to go to violence.  For those who carry it, no conversation is needed when we meet. You cannot poll or measure it; specifically, because most who carry it avoid discussion… And that decision has nothing whatsoever to do with any form of correctness.

Foolishness and betrayal of our nation have served to reveal dangers within our present condition.

Misplaced corrective action, regardless of intent, is neither safe nor wise….

All thoughts appreciated.

Coinbase Crackdown

Armstrong Economics Blog/Cryptocurrency Re-Posted Aug 24, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Comment: I use Coinbase to hold some crypto. They sent me an email saying that my account that I had for years would be limited to withdrawals only if I do not give them updated government ID and download the latest version of the application. I use this on my PC and do not have the application. I worry they’ll take what is left of my failing cryptos. Luckily I only put “play money” into these holdings but I imagine others will experience losses and frozen accounts in the near future. The deadline they gave me was October – not sure if that is for all. I messaged out to Coinbase for help updating my account but cannot fully verify it after many tries.

Reply: Government hates cryptocurrency. They have always been concerned about their ability to squeeze out every last penny in taxes from crypto. I am not surprised that Coinbase is emailing users for additional documentation days after the Inflation Reduction Act was passed. With nearly 88,000 new IRS agents, there will certainly be teams of hundreds or thousands of accountants who will analyze all crypto holdings.

The initial idea behind the creation of crypto has been lost. I warned in March on our private blog on Socrates that cryptocurrencies may be suspended altogether one day. Biden could sign an Executive Order to regulate cryptos because countries like Russia can use it to circumvent sanctions. Not only is Biden authorizing the regulation of digital currencies, but he is also instructing to move forward with a central bank cryptocurrency. Once that is done, all other cryptocurrencies will be seized and folded into the government’s crypto. There will be no competition.

The Country with the Highest Mortality Rate in Europe

Armstrong Economics Blog/Conspiracy Re-Posted Aug 24, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

The average death rate in June across the European Union was 6.2%. Portugal experienced a 23.9% uptick in deaths this June compared to the same period throughout 2016 and 2019. Between 2016 and 2019, Portugal was averaging 276 deaths per day. By June of last year, this figure spiked to 341 people per day with 10,217 perishing in that four-week period.

Portugal is the second most vaccinated country in Europe, behind Malta. The aging population over 85 has the highest rate of mortality, naturally, but there have been fewer deaths among people aged 65 to 84. There have been 5,781 COVID-related deaths in the nation this year, but excluding COVID deaths, total mortality still rose by 5%. Infant deaths have sadly increased over the past year as well from 107 to 142.

The Ministry of Health is conducting a study to determine the cause. The agency said they were paying special attention to deaths “that coincide with the greatest intensity of COVID-19 and heat.” Yet, the mortality rate was on the rise between February and April before the heatwaves swept across Europe. Additionally, deaths not attributed directly to COVID are on the rise, so neither heat nor COVID could explain the uptick. Could the high vaccination rate be to blame? The government will likely never reveal the truth, but one variable that certainly has changed is the high vaccination rate.

Not a Democracy, State Dept Funds Ukraine Govt Disinformation Conference Labeling Disinformation as a War Crime

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on August 23, 2022 | sundance

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously took control over all broadcast media discontinuing any media that was not under government control.  Taking the anti-democracy movement another step further, Zelenskyy then banned any political opposition party and confiscated the funds of his political opposition.

These totalitarian actions were taken while the U.S. State Department was simultaneously claiming defense of Ukraine as vital to democracy.  Meanwhile, U.S. taxpayers are being forced by congress to send $60 billion in aid into the corrupt country in order to cover the wages, salaries and benefits of Ukraine government officials. Apparently, a strange and twisted definition of democracy exists in the dictionary of Washington DC.

The latest anti-democracy revelation is even more stark.  The U.S. State Dept funded a govt/NGO Ukraine conference on ‘disinformation’.

(UKRAINE) – Representatives of public authorities, NGOs, the media and international experts took part in a round table on countering disinformation. The participants discussed the methods used in Ukraine and abroad, as well as the legal framework and features of interaction between civil society and government agencies to counter fakes and disinformation in the context of cybersecurity.

During the discussion, Acting Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation Andriy Shapovalov insisted that persons who deliberately spread disinformation are information terrorists. He noted that in order to protect the information space, it is necessary to amend the legislation.

“Information terrorists need to know that they will have to answer to the law as war criminals,” he said.

Also during his speech, the acting Head of the Center noted that Ukraine is confidently winning the information struggle.

The round table was organized by the National Academy of the Security Service of Ukraine, the US Civil Research and Development Fund (CRDF Global Ukraine), the NGO “International Academy of Information”, the coordination platform “National Cybersecurity Cluster”. The event was supported by the U.S. Department of State. (LINK)

Unvaccinated Mothers Forced to Pay Back Maternity Leave in BC

Armstrong Economics Blog/Canada Re-Posted Aug 22, 2022 by Martin Armstrong

Mothers (also known as “birthing people” to the woke) in BC are no longer entitled to maternity leave unless they cave and take the vaccine. This is the very vaccine that has provenly caused issues in fertility and comes with a plethora of side effects. The vaccine does absolutely nothing to prevent transmission and infection. But the government is so eager to retain power under the guise of COVID while pushing forth the Great Reset that they are continuing to force the public into dangerous situations.

“The vaccination policy stipulates that BC Public Service employees who do not receive two doses of vaccination against COVID-19, or refuse to disclose their vaccination status, and do not have an approved exemption request, are to be placed on a leave without pay for a period of at least three months, after which they may be terminated,” the BC government writes on their website. The province required employee mandates on November 8, 2021.

The government offers around 80% salary compensation for mothers on leave. How else do they expect women to exist in the workforce (looking at you, America)? Any mother who disobeyed the vaccine mandate and did not receive an exemption may be forced to forfeit their maternity pay.

The COVID hysteria may have ended, but the tyranny continues. Canadians are continually losing their jobs for making independent health decisions. What will happen when they mandate more boosters? The collective must rebel against such tyranny.

Sunday Talks, House Intel Committee Mike Turner Discusses Trump Mar-a-Lago Raid and DOJ Affidavit

Posted originally on the conservative tree house on August 21, 2022 | sundance

Mike Turner replaced congressman Devin Nunes as the ranking member on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).  During this interview with CBS and Ed O’Keefe, Turner discusses his perspective on the DOJ/FBI raid on President Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago and the issue of publicly releasing the DOJ affidavit used to gain a search warrant.  [Transcript Here]

Ed O’Keefe carries the baton of narrative engineering on behalf of the regime, using leading questions in an effort to indict President Trump in the court of public opinion, while Mike Turner plays the customary role of a high-minded republican who is aghast, shocked and horrified by the unprofessional conduct of the former president and the institutions targeting him based on political motive.

Toward the end of the interview, O’Keefe does the familiar partisan shift in asking what Turner would do as Chairman of the HPSCI if republicans take the House.  Here Turner pledges to reverse the current committee use by Adam Schiff, vows not weaponize the committee for political purposes, and return the HPSCI back to the more important business of investigating Chinese espionage etc.  WATCH:

[Transcript] – ED O’KEEFE: Welcome back to FACE THE NATION. I’m Ed O’Keefe in this morning for Margaret Brennan. We turn now to the FBI search at former President Trump’s Florida resort. Ohio Congressman Mike Turner is the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee and he joins us this morning from Dayton, Ohio. Congressman, great to have you with us.

ED O’KEEFE:  This past week, a Florida federal judge asked the Justice Department to prepare a redacted version of the aff- of the affidavit that set off the FBI operation at the former president’s home, signaling he may be willing to release it as early as this coming week. But affidavits aren’t usually made public during an investigation so as to not impede the investigation. I’m curious what level of disclosure would satisfy the demand for the release of the affidavit, in your view?

REP. MIKE TURNER: Well, this is very revealing because the court has already made a ruling that they believe, and remember, the court knows what’s in the affidavit. The portions of the affidavit can be released to the public. Now, what’s important about this affidavit is it will give us the information to understand how did the FBI justify a raiding Mar-a-Lago and spending 9 hours in the president’s house when we know the former president’s home, they had other options besides just raiding the house. They could have gone in and asked for the subpoena to be enforced. And the mystery sort of here deepens, because we know Attorney General Garland himself has taken responsibility, said he approved it. And the American public want the attorney general focused on issues like human and drug smuggling at the border. They- Chinese espionage, out of control crime in our cities. But if it’s- if you’re going to turn to this, if you’re going to turn to the former president and Mar-a-Lago, they want to make certain that this is to the highest level, there’s an imminent national security threat. And this affidavit will tell us, did they even allege so? Because in their document, trying to keep the affidavit sealed, they didn’t even allege that there was a national security threat.

ED O’KEEFE: We should point out there’s a poll out this morning at another news organization that finds almost six in ten Americans actually support continuing this investigation. So while there may be other big issues, there’s certainly wide public interest in this one. You’re an attorney, though. Why would releasing any information in this affidavit make sense and assure the former president not only a fair investigation by the Justice Department, but potentially, if it gets to that, a fair trial?

REP. TURNER: Well, I think- and you’re- you’re citing polls and there are lots of polls out there, by the way. The polls also indicate that people want to make certain that- that if this is an imminent national security threat, that it’s pursued. But also, they want to make certain that you don’t have abuse of discretion here. And what our concern is from our committee is there’s an- an allegation of classified documents that falls within our jurisdiction. And show us what you found, because the affidavit is going to have them tell publicly now what they told the court they were going to go find. Show us what you found. It certainly won’t affect the investigation. We deal with classified documents and information all the time. Show us what it is that you went into the president’s residence, spent 9 hours at former President Trump’s residence. What is it that was at an imminent national security threat that you didn’t just go to court and ask the court to- to order that the documents be delivered to them? Why did they spend- I just think of the resources of 30 agents that spent 9 hours in the preparation for that when we have real imminent national security threats like Chinese espionage, the border, issues that- things that are going on in Ukraine. To take these resources and apply them here, certainly the American public wants to make certain this is not an abuse of discretion.

ED O’KEEFE: Well, I’m- I’m curious, since you’re a member of the Intelligence Committee, what use could a former president have for classified or top secret information once he’s left office? Why- why bring it home with him to Florida?

REP. TURNER: Well, I don’t know. I mean, you have to ask him. But certainly, we all know that every former president has access to their documents. It’s how they write their memoirs. They don’t have, you know, great recall of everything that’s occurred in their administration. And we don’t know that they were classified. We know, according to the FBI documents, that they were- they were identified as marked classified. You have, of course, the former president saying that he declassified them himself. But I think what’s important here about this abuse of discretion, we have evidence of the FBI abusing that discretion and of misconduct on behalf of the FBI. The FBI, you know, we had an attorney for the FBI that actually was convicted of doctoring an email to obtain a warrant against- against Trump. There’s Trump’s organization- you have the- the FBI using the Russia dossier, which has been proven to be debunked as evidence under a warrant that they submitted. Both- all of which CBS has reported, and I have them up on my website, your own stories of these abuses of discretion. And the other question that we have is- is just recently there was a raid on Project Veritas, which is a news organization, to supposedly retrieve President Biden’s daughter’s diary. Now, that’s not certainly an imminent national security threat. It might be embarrassing to the president, but it’s not something you’d see them do for an ordinary citizens. There are real questions as to what is the FBI doing here? It’s the- it’s you know, the rank and file FBI agents, everybody agrees, you know, we support them. We have great faith in them. But the leadership of the FBI, when they undertake a raid against the current president’s political rival, you have to ask these questions.

ED O’KEEFE: Real quick, are you aware of any standing order from President Trump that he might have had, a standing order, to declassify documents he took from the Oval Office to the White House residence while he was in office?

REP. TURNER: I have never served in the White House. I would never have any knowledge of anything that occurred.

ED O’KEEFE: Okay. So the Intelligence Committee wouldn’t know whether the president had a standing order?

REP. TURNER: Whether Biden does, whether anybody does- what is there to declassify. In fact, we weren’t even notified when President Biden declassified all the information concerning the hunt for Zawahiri. And I was very surprised the detail that they made public there. Very concerning as to how it might inform al Qaeda and the future people that we’re trying to target.

ED O’KEEFE:  Two quick—

REP. TURNER: I had no, no advance knowledge or notice when they did that.

ED O’KEEFE:  Okay, two quick questions for you on the future. You want to be the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee next year?

REP. TURNER:  Well, I think that certainly my work on the Intelligence Committee is about national security and focusing on national security, and that’s going to continue to be my focus.

ED O’KEEFE: Give us a sense, then, of what you would investigate if you were head of the Intelligence Committee and Republicans take control of the House.

REP. TURNER:  Well, you know, as I said from the beginning, is what I think we want Attorney General Garland to be focusing on instead of Mar-a-Lago, is Chinese espionage certainly furthering? How do we assist Ukraine in fighting Russia aggression? Looking at ways that we look at what’s going on at the border with human and drug smuggling and how it’s affecting our families. And, of course, there’s always the issue of the spiraling crime that’s occurring in- in our cities. And how can we impact that? How can we ensure that we have the right tools and information about any foreign influence that might be impacting that?

ED O’KEEFE: And as a Republican in Ohio, what does J.D. Vance, who in some polls is trailing right now, have to do to win that Senate race and hold the seat for Republicans?

REP. TURNER:  Yeah, he has to make the case and I think he’s doing that. He’s campaigning very hard. And, you know, you- you should have him on.

ED O’KEEFE: We’d love to. In fact, we’ve asked and so far we haven’t heard back. But if he’s listening, J.D. Vance, we’d love to have you. Mike Turner, we loved having you. We’ll see you soon here in Washington. And we’ll be back in a moment.  [LINK]
